Psalmaro 97

1La Eternulo reĝas; ĝoju la tero; Estu gajaj la multaj insuloj. 2Nubo kaj mallumo estas ĉirkaŭ Li; Vero kaj justeco estas la fundamento de Lia trono. 3Fajro iras antaŭ Li, Kaj bruligas ĉirkaŭe Liajn malamikojn. 4Liaj fulmoj lumigas la mondon; La tero vidas, kaj tremas. 5Montoj fandiĝas kiel vakso antaŭ la vizaĝo de la Eternulo, Antaŭ la vizaĝo de la Sinjoro de la tuta tero. 6La ĉielo rakontas Lian veron, Kaj ĉiuj popoloj vidas Lian gloron. 7Hontiĝu ĉiuj, kiuj servas al idoloj, Kiuj laŭdas sin pro diaĉoj. Kliniĝu antaŭ Li ĉiuj dioj. 8Aŭdis kaj ekĝojis Cion, Kaj ektriumfis la filinoj de Jehuda Pro Viaj juĝoj, ho Eternulo. 9Ĉar Vi, ho Eternulo, estas Plejalta super la tuta tero, Vi tre alte leviĝis super ĉiuj dioj. 10Amantoj de la Eternulo, malamu malbonon. Li gardas la animojn de Siaj fideluloj; Li savos ilin de la mano de malvirtuloj. 11Lumo verŝiĝas sur virtulon, Kaj ĝojo sur purkorulojn. 12Ĝoju, virtuloj, pro la Eternulo, Kaj gloru Lian sanktan nomon.

1Yahweh reigns! Let the earth rejoice! Let the multitude of islands be glad! 2Clouds and darkness are around him. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne. 3A fire goes before him, and burns up his adversaries on every side. 4His lightning lights up the world. The earth sees, and trembles. 5The mountains melt like wax at the presence of Yahweh, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth. 6The heavens declare his righteousness. All the peoples have seen his glory. 7Let all them be shamed who serve engraved images, who boast in their idols. Worship him, all you gods! 8Zion heard and was glad. The daughters of Judah rejoiced, because of your judgments, Yahweh. 9For you, Yahweh, are most high above all the earth. You are exalted far above all gods. 10You who love Yahweh, hate evil. He preserves the souls of his saints. He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked. 11Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart. 12Be glad in Yahweh, you righteous people! Give thanks to his holy Name.

1De HEERE regeert, de aarde verheuge zich; dat veel eilanden zich verblijden. 2Rondom Hem zijn wolken en donkerheid, gerechtigheid en gericht zijn de vastigheid Zijns troons. 3Een vuur gaat voor Zijn aangezicht heen, en het steekt Zijn wederpartijen rondom aan brand. 4Zijn bliksemen verlichten de wereld; het aardrijk ziet ze en het beeft. 5De bergen smelten als was voor het aanschijn des HEEREN, voor het aanschijn des HEEREN der ganse aarde. 6De hemelen verkondigen Zijn gerechtigheid, en alle volken zien Zijn eer. 7Beschaamd moeten wezen allen, die de beelden dienen, die zich op afgoden beroemen; buigt u neder voor Hem, alle gij goden! 8Sion heeft gehoord, en het heeft zich verblijd, en de dochteren van Juda hebben zich verheugd vanwege Uw oordelen, o HEERE! 9Want Gij, HEERE! zijt de Allerhoogste over de gehele aarde; Gij zijt zeer hoog verheven boven alle goden. 10Gij liefhebbers des HEEREN! haat het kwade; Hij bewaart de zielen Zijner gunstgenoten; Hij redt hen uit der goddelozen hand. 11Het licht is voor den rechtvaardige gezaaid, en vrolijkheid voor de oprechten van hart. 12Gij rechtvaardigen! verblijdt u in den HEERE, en spreekt lof ter gedachtenis Zijner heiligheid.
