1Ho Dio, ne silentu; Ne estu senparola kaj ne restu trankvila, ho Dio! 2Ĉar jen Viaj malamikoj ekbruis, Kaj Viaj malamantoj levis la kapon. 3Kontraŭ Via popolo ili sekrete konspiras, Kaj ili konsiliĝas kontraŭ Viaj gardatoj. 4Ili diris: Ni iru, kaj ni ekstermu ilin el inter la popoloj, Ke oni ne plu rememoru la nomon de Izrael. 5Ĉar ili unuanime interkonsentis, Ili faris interligon kontraŭ Vi: 6La tendoj de Edom kaj la Iŝmaelidoj, Moab kaj la Hagaridoj, 7Gebal kaj Amon kaj Amalek, La Filiŝtoj kun la loĝantoj de Tiro; 8Ankaŭ Asirio aliĝis al ili Kaj fariĝis helpo al la idoj de Lot. Sela. 9Faru al ili, kiel al Midjan, Kiel al Sisera, kiel al Jabin ĉe la torento Kiŝon, 10Kiuj estis ekstermitaj en En-Dor Kaj fariĝis sterko por la tero. 11Agu kun iliaj princoj kiel kun Oreb kaj Zeeb, Kaj kun ĉiuj iliaj estroj kiel kun Zebaĥ kaj Calmuna, 12Kiuj diris: Ni ekposedu la loĝejon de Dio! 13Ho mia Dio, similigu ilin al turniĝanta polvo, Al pajlrestaĵo antaŭ vento. 14Kiel fajro bruligas arbaron, Kaj kiel flamo bruldezertigas montojn, 15Tiel pelu ilin per Via ventego, Kaj per Via fulmotondro ilin timigu. 16Plenigu ilian vizaĝon per malhonoro, Por ke ili turniĝu al Via nomo, ho Eternulo. 17Ili estu hontigitaj kaj timigitaj por ĉiam, Ili malhonoriĝu kaj pereu. 18Kaj ili eksciu, ke Vi, kies nomo estas ETERNULO, Estas sola Plejaltulo super la tuta tero.

1God, don’t keep silent. Don’t keep silent, and don’t be still, God. 2For, behold, your enemies are stirred up. Those who hate you have lifted up their heads. 3They conspire with cunning against your people. They plot against your cherished ones. 4“Come,” they say, “let’s destroy them as a nation, that the name of Israel may be remembered no more.” 5For they have conspired together with one mind. They form an alliance against you. 6The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites; Moab, and the Hagrites; 7Gebal, Ammon, and Amalek; Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre; 8Assyria also is joined with them. They have helped the children of Lot. Selah. 9Do to them as you did to Midian, as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the river Kishon; 10who perished at Endor, who became as dung for the earth. 11Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb; yes, all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna; 12who said, “Let us take possession of God’s pasture lands.” 13My God, make them like tumbleweed; like chaff before the wind. 14As the fire that burns the forest, as the flame that sets the mountains on fire, 15so pursue them with your tempest, and terrify them with your storm. 16Fill their faces with confusion, that they may seek your name, Yahweh. 17Let them be disappointed and dismayed forever. Yes, let them be confounded and perish; 18that they may know that you alone, whose name is Yahweh, are the Most High over all the earth.

1Een lied, een psalm van Asaf. 2O God! zwijg niet, houd U niet als doof, en zijt niet stil, o God! 3Want zie, Uw vijanden maken getier, en Uw haters steken het hoofd op. 4Zij maken listiglijk een heimelijken aanslag tegen Uw volk, en beraadslagen zich tegen Uw verborgenen. 5Zij hebben gezegd: Komt, en laat ons hen uitroeien, dat zij geen volk meer zijn; dat aan den naam Israels niet meer gedacht worde. 6Want zij hebben in het hart te zamen geraadslaagd; tegen U hebben zij een verbond gemaakt; 7De tenten van Edom en der Ismaelieten, Moab en de Hagarenen; 8Gebal, en Ammon, en Amalek, Palestina met de inwoners van Tyrus. 9Ook heeft zich Assur bij hen gevoegd; zij zijn den kinderen van Lot tot een arm geweest. Sela. 10Doe hun als Midian, als Sisera, als Jabin aan de beek Kison; 11Die verdelgd zijn te Endor; zij zijn geworden tot drek der aarde. 12Maak hen en hun prinsen als Oreb en als Zeeb, en al hun vorsten als Zebah en als Zalmuna; 13Die zeiden: Laat ons de schone woningen Gods voor ons in erfelijke bezitting nemen. 14Mijn God! maak hen als een wervel, als stoppelen voor den wind. 15Gelijk het vuur een woud verbrandt, en gelijk de vlam de bergen aansteekt; 16Vervolg hen alzo met Uw onweder, en verschrik hen met Uw draaiwind. 17Maak hun aangezicht vol schande, opdat zij, o HEERE! Uw Naam zoeken. 18Laat hen beschaamd en verschrikt wezen tot in eeuwigheid, en laat hen schaamrood worden, en omkomen; Opdat zij weten, dat Gij alleen met Uw Naam zijt de HEERE, de Allerhoogste over de ganse aarde.
