Psalmaro 85

1Vi korfavoris, ho Eternulo, Vian landon, Vi revenigis la forkaptitojn de Jakob; 2Vi pardonis la kulpon de Via popolo, Vi kovris ĉiujn ĝiajn pekojn. Sela. 3Vi retenis Vian tutan koleron, Forlasis Vian furiozon. 4Turnu Vin al ni, ho Dio de nia savo, Kaj ĉesigu Vian koleron kontraŭ ni. 5Ĉu eterne Vi nin koleros, Daŭrigos Vian koleron de generacio al generacio? 6Ĉu Vi ne revivigos nin denove, Ke Via popolo ĝoju per Vi? 7Aperigu al ni, ho Eternulo, Vian favoron, Kaj Vian helpon donu al ni. 8Mi aŭdu, kion diras Dio, la Eternulo; Ĉar Li deklaros pacon al Sia popolo kaj al Siaj fideluloj, Ke ili ne reiru al malsaĝeco. 9Jam proksima estas Lia helpo al tiuj, kiuj Lin timas, Por ke ekregu honoro en nia lando. 10Bono kaj vero renkontiĝas, Justeco kaj paco sin kisas. 11Vero elkreskas el la tero, Kaj justeco rigardas el la ĉielo. 12Kaj la Eternulo donos bonon, Kaj nia tero donos siajn produktojn. 13Justeco iros antaŭ Li Kaj faros vojon por Liaj paŝoj.

1Yahweh, you have been favorable to your land. You have restored the fortunes of Jacob. 2You have forgiven the iniquity of your people. You have covered all their sin. Selah. 3You have taken away all your wrath. You have turned from the fierceness of your anger. 4Turn us, God of our salvation, and cause your indignation toward us to cease. 5Will you be angry with us forever? Will you draw out your anger to all generations? 6Won’t you revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you? 7Show us your loving kindness, Yahweh. Grant us your salvation. 8I will hear what God, Yahweh, will speak, for he will speak peace to his people, his saints; but let them not turn again to folly. 9Surely his salvation is near those who fear him, that glory may dwell in our land. 10Mercy and truth meet together. Righteousness and peace have kissed each other. 11Truth springs out of the earth. Righteousness has looked down from heaven. 12Yes, Yahweh will give that which is good. Our land will yield its increase. 13Righteousness goes before him, And prepares the way for his steps.

1Een psalm, voor den opperzangmeester, onder de kinderen van Korach. 2Gij zijt Uw lande gunstig geweest, HEERE! de gevangenis van Jakob hebt Gij gewend. 3De misdaad Uws volks hebt Gij weggenomen; Gij hebt al hun zonden bedekt. Sela. 4Gij hebt weggenomen al Uw verbolgenheid; Gij hebt U gewend van de hittigheid Uws toorns. 5Breng ons weder, o God onzes heils! en doe te niet Uw toornigheid over ons. 6Zult Gij eeuwiglijk tegen ons toornen? Zult Gij Uw toorn uitstrekken van geslacht tot geslacht? 7Zult Gij ons niet weder levend maken, opdat Uw volk zich in U verblijde? 8Toon ons Uw goedertierenheid, o HEERE, en geef ons Uw heil. 9Ik zal horen, wat God, de HEERE, spreken zal; want Hij zal tot Zijn volk en tot Zijn gunstgenoten van vrede spreken; maar dat zij niet weder tot dwaasheid keren. 10Zekerlijk, Zijn heil is nabij degenen, die Hem vrezen, opdat in ons land eer wone. 11De goedertierenheid en waarheid zullen elkander ontmoeten; de gerechtigheid en vrede zullen elkander kussen. 12De waarheid zal uit de aarde spruiten, en gerechtigheid zal van den hemel nederzien. 13Ook zal de HEERE het goede geven; en ons land zal zijn vrucht geven. De gerechtigheid zal voor Zijn aangezicht henengaan, en Hij zal ze zetten op den weg Zijner voetstappen.
