Psalmaro 1

1Feliĉa estas la homo, kiu ne iras laŭ konsilo de malpiuloj, Nek staras sur vojo de pekuloj, Nek sidas en kunsido de blasfemantoj; 2Sed li nur havas deziron por la leĝo de la Eternulo, Kaj pri Lia leĝo li pensas tage kaj nokte. 3Kaj li estos kiel arbo, plantita apud akvaj torentoj, Donanta sian frukton en sia tempo, Kaj kies folio ne velkas; Kaj en ĉio, kion li faras, li sukcesos. 4Ne tiel estas la malpiuloj; Sed ili estas kiel grenventumaĵo, kiun disblovas la vento. 5Tial ne staros fortike la malpiuloj ĉe la juĝo, Nek la pekuloj en societo de piuloj. 6Ĉar la Eternulo konas la vojon de piuloj; Sed la vojo de malpiuloj pereos.

1Blessed is the man who doesn’t walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand on the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers; 2but his delight is in Yahweh’s law. On his law he meditates day and night. 3He will be like a tree planted by the streams of water, that produces its fruit in its season, whose leaf also does not wither. Whatever he does shall prosper. 4The wicked are not so, but are like the chaff which the wind drives away. 5Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. 6For Yahweh knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked shall perish.

1Welgelukzalig is de man, die niet wandelt in de raad der goddelozen, noch staat op den weg der zondaren, noch zit in het gestoelte der spotters; 2Maar zijn lust is in des HEEREN wet, en hij overdenkt Zijn wet dag en nacht. 3Want hij zal zijn als een boom, geplant aan waterbeken, die zijn vrucht geeft op zijn tijd, en welks blad niet afvalt; en al wat hij doet, zal wel gelukken. 4Alzo zijn de goddelozen niet, maar als het kaf, dat de wind henendrijft. 5Daarom zullen de goddelozen niet bestaan in het gericht, noch de zondaars in de vergadering der rechtvaardigen. 6Want de HEERE kent den weg der rechtvaardigen; maar de weg der goddelozen zal vergaan.
