Psalmaro 21

1Ho Eternulo, pro Via forto ĝojas la reĝo, Kaj pro Via helpo kiel forte li triumfas! 2Kion lia koro deziris, tion Vi donis al li; Kaj la peton de lia buŝo Vi ne rifuzis. Sela. 3Vi antaŭvenas al li kun beno de bono; Vi metis sur lian kapon kronon el pura oro. 4Vivon li petis de Vi; Kaj Vi donis al li longan vivon por ĉiam kaj eterne. 5Granda estas lia honoro pro Via helpo; Gloron kaj majeston Vi metis sur lin. 6Vi donas al li eternajn benojn; Vi gajigas lin per ĝojo antaŭ Via vizaĝo. 7Ĉar la reĝo fidas la Eternulon, Kaj pro favoro de la Plejaltulo li ne falos. 8Trovos Via mano ĉiujn Viajn malamikojn, Via dekstra trovos Viajn malamantojn. 9Vi similigos ilin al brulanta forno, kiam Vi koleros; La Eternulo englutos ilin per Sia kolero, Kaj fajro ilin formanĝos. 10Ilian naskitaron Vi ekstermos de sur la tero, Kaj ilian semon el inter la homidoj. 11Ĉar ili preparis malbonon por Vi, Pripensis atencon, sed ne povis ĝin plenumi. 12Vi devigos ilin turni al Vi la dorson, Viajn tendenojn Vi direktos kontraŭ iliajn vizaĝojn. 13Leviĝu, ho Eternulo, en Via forto; Ni kantos kaj gloros Vian potencon.

1The king rejoices in your strength, Yahweh! How greatly he rejoices in your salvation! 2You have given him his heart’s desire, and have not withheld the request of his lips. Selah. 3For you meet him with the blessings of goodness. You set a crown of fine gold on his head. 4He asked life of you, you gave it to him, even length of days forever and ever. 5His glory is great in your salvation. You lay honor and majesty on him. 6For you make him most blessed forever. You make him glad with joy in your presence. 7For the king trusts in Yahweh. Through the loving kindness of the Most High, he shall not be moved. 8Your hand will find out all of your enemies. Your right hand will find out those who hate you. 9You will make them as a fiery furnace in the time of your anger. Yahweh will swallow them up in his wrath. The fire shall devour them. 10You will destroy their descendants from the earth, their posterity from among the children of men. 11For they intended evil against you. They plotted evil against you which cannot succeed. 12For you will make them turn their back, when you aim drawn bows at their face. 13Be exalted, Yahweh, in your strength, so we will sing and praise your power.

1Een psalm van David, voor den opperzangmeester. 2O HEERE! de koning is verblijd over Uw sterkte; en hoezeer is hij verheugd over Uw heil! 3Gij hebt hem zijns harten wens gegeven, en de uitspraak zijner lippen hebt Gij niet geweerd. Sela. 4Want Gij komt hem voor met zegeningen van het goede; op zijn hoofd zet Gij een kroon van fijn goud. 5Het leven heeft hij van U begeerd. Gij hebt het hem gegeven; lengte van dagen, eeuwiglijk en altoos. 6Groot is zijn eer door Uw heil; majesteit en heerlijkheid hebt Gij hem toegevoegd. 7Want Gij zet hem tot zegeningen in eeuwigheid; Gij vervrolijkt hem door vreugde met Uw aangezicht. 8Want de koning vertrouwt op den HEERE, en door de goedertierenheid des Allerhoogsten zal hij niet wankelen. 9Uw hand zal alle vijanden vinden; uw rechterhand zal uw haters vinden. 10Gij zult hen zetten als een vurige oven ter tijd uws toornigen aangezichts; de HEERE zal hen in Zijn toorn verslinden, en het vuur zal hen verteren. 11Gij zult hun vrucht van de aarde verdoen, en hun zaad van de kinderen der mensen. 12Want zij hebben kwaad tegen U aangelegd; zij hebben een schandelijke daad bedacht, doch zullen niets vermogen. 13Want Gij zult hen zetten tot een wit; met Uw pezen zult Gij het op hun aangezicht toeleggen. Verhoog U, HEERE! in Uw sterkte; zo zullen wij zingen, en Uw macht met psalmen loven.
