Salmi 24

1Salmo di Davide. All’Eterno appartiene la terra e tutto ciò ch’è in essa, il mondo e i suoi abitanti. 2Poich’egli l’ha fondata sui mari e l’ha stabilita sui fiumi. 3Chi salirà al monte dell’Eterno? e chi potrà stare nel luogo suo santo? 4L’uomo innocente di mani e puro di cuore, che non eleva l’animo a vanità, e non giura con intenti di frode. 5Egli riceverà benedizione dall’Eterno, e giustizia dall’Iddio della sua salvezza. 6Tale è la generazione di quelli che lo cercano, di quelli che cercan la tua faccia, o Dio di Giacobbe. Sela. 7O porte, alzate i vostri capi; e voi, porte eterne, alzatevi; e il Re di gloria entrerà. 8Chi è questo Re di gloria? E’ l’Eterno, forte e potente, l’Eterno potente in battaglia. 9O porte, alzate i vostri capi; alzatevi, o porte eterne, e il Re di gloria entrerà. 10Chi è questo Re di gloria? E’ l’Eterno degli eserciti; egli è il Re di gloria. Sela.

1The earth is Yahweh’s, with its fullness; the world, and those who dwell therein. 2For he has founded it on the seas, and established it on the floods. 3Who may ascend to Yahweh’s hill? Who may stand in his holy place? 4He who has clean hands and a pure heart; who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood, and has not sworn deceitfully. 5He shall receive a blessing from Yahweh, righteousness from the God of his salvation. 6This is the generation of those who seek Him, who seek your face—even Jacob. Selah. 7Lift up your heads, you gates! Be lifted up, you everlasting doors, and the King of glory will come in. 8Who is the King of glory? Yahweh strong and mighty, Yahweh mighty in battle. 9Lift up your heads, you gates; yes, lift them up, you everlasting doors, and the King of glory will come in. 10Who is this King of glory? Yahweh of Armies is the King of glory! Selah.

De aarde is des HEEREN, mitsgaders haar volheid, de wereld, en die daarin wonen. 2Want Hij heeft ze gegrond op de zeeen, en heeft ze gevestigd op de rivieren. 3Wie zal klimmen op den berg des HEEREN, en wie zal staan in de plaats Zijner heiligheid? 4Die rein van handen, en zuiver van hart is, die zijn ziel niet opheft tot ijdelheid, en die niet bedriegelijk zweert; 5Die zal den zegen ontvangen van den HEERE, en gerechtigheid van den God zijns heils. 6Dat is het geslacht dergenen, die naar Hem vragen, die Uw aangezicht zoeken, dat is Jakob! Sela. 7Heft uw hoofden op, gij poorten, en verheft u, gij eeuwige deuren, opdat de Koning der ere inga! 8Wie is de Koning der ere? De HEERE, sterk en geweldig, de HEERE, geweldig in den strijd. 9Heft uw hoofden op, gij poorten, ja, heft op, gij eeuwige deuren! opdat de Koning der ere inga! 10Wie is Hij, deze Koning der ere? De HEERE der heirscharen, Die is de Koning der ere. Sela.
