1Alleluia. Lodate il nome dell’Eterno. Lodatelo, o servi dell’Eterno, 2che state nella casa dell’Eterno, nei cortili della casa del nostro Dio. 3Lodate l’Eterno, perché l’Eterno è buono; salmeggiate al suo nome, perché è amabile. 4Poiché l’Eterno ha scelto per sé Giacobbe, ha scelto Israele per suo speciale possesso. 5Sì, io conosco che l’Eterno è grande, e che il nostro Signore è al disopra di tutti gli dèi. 6L’Eterno fa tutto ciò che gli piace, in cielo e in terra, nei mari e in tutti gli abissi. 7Egli fa salire i vapori dalle estremità della terra, fa i lampi per la pioggia, fa uscire il vento dai suoi tesori. 8Egli percosse i primogeniti d’Egitto, così degli uomini come degli animali. 9Mandò segni e prodigi in mezzo a te, o Egitto, su Faraone e su tutti i suoi servitori. 10Egli percosse grandi nazioni, e uccise re potenti: 11Sihon, re degli Amorei, e Og, re di Basan, e tutti i regni di Canaan. 12E dette il loro paese in eredità, in eredità a Israele, suo popolo. 13O Eterno, il tuo nome dura in perpetuo; la memoria di te, o Eterno, dura per ogni età. 14Poiché l’Eterno farà giustizia al suo popolo, ed avrà compassione dei suoi servitori. 15Gl’idoli delle nazioni sono argento e oro, opera di mano d’uomo. 16Hanno bocca e non parlano; hanno occhi e non vedono; 17hanno orecchi e non odono, e non hanno fiato alcuno nella loro bocca. 18Simili ad essi siano quelli che li fanno, tutti quelli che in essi confidano. 19Casa d’Israele, benedite l’Eterno! Casa d’Aaronne, benedite l’Eterno! 20Casa di Levi, benedite l’Eterno! Voi che temete l’Eterno, benedite l’Eterno! 21Sia benedetto da Sion l’Eterno, che abita in Gerusalemme! Alleluia.

1Praise Yah! Praise Yahweh’s name! Praise him, you servants of Yahweh, 2you who stand in Yahweh’s house, in the courts of our God’s house. 3Praise Yah, for Yahweh is good. Sing praises to his name, for that is pleasant. 4For Yah has chosen Jacob for himself; Israel for his own possession. 5For I know that Yahweh is great, that our Lord is above all gods. 6Whatever Yahweh pleased, that he has done, in heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all deeps; 7who causes the clouds to rise from the ends of the earth; who makes lightnings with the rain; who brings the wind out of his treasuries; 8Who struck the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and animal; 9Who sent signs and wonders into your midst, Egypt, on Pharaoh, and on all his servants; 10who struck many nations, and killed mighty kings, 11Sihon king of the Amorites, Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan, 12and gave their land for a heritage, a heritage to Israel, his people. 13Your name, Yahweh, endures forever; your renown, Yahweh, throughout all generations. 14For Yahweh will judge his people, and have compassion on his servants. 15The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands. 16They have mouths, but they can’t speak. They have eyes, but they can’t see. 17They have ears, but they can’t hear; neither is there any breath in their mouths. 18Those who make them will be like them; yes, everyone who trusts in them. 19House of Israel, praise Yahweh! House of Aaron, praise Yahweh! 20House of Levi, praise Yahweh! You who fear Yahweh, praise Yahweh! 21Blessed be Yahweh from Zion, Who dwells at Jerusalem. Praise Yah!

Prijst den Naam des HEEREN, prijst Hem, gij knechten des HEEREN! 2Gij, die staat in het huis des HEEREN, in de voorhoven van het huis onzes Gods! 3Looft den HEERE, want de HEERE is goed; psalmzingt Zijn Naam, want Hij is liefelijk. 4Want de HEERE heeft Zich Jakob verkoren, Israel tot Zijn eigendom. 5Want ik weet, dat de HEERE groot is, en dat onze Heere boven alle goden is. 6Al wat den HEERE behaagt, doet Hij, in de hemelen, en op de aarde, in de zeeen en alle afgronden. 7Hij doet dampen opklimmen van het einde der aarde; Hij maakt de bliksemen met den regen; Hij brengt den wind uit Zijn schatkameren voort. 8Die de eerstgeborenen van Egypte sloeg, van den mens af tot het vee toe. 9Hij zond tekenen en wonderen in het midden van u, o Egypte! tegen Farao en tegen al zijn knechten. 10Die veel volken sloeg, en machtige koningen doodde; 11Sihon, den koning der Amorieten, en Og, den koning van Basan, en al de koninkrijken van Kanaan, 12En Hij gaf hun land ten erve, ten erve aan Zijn volk Israel. 13O HEERE! Uw Naam is in eeuwigheid; HEERE! Uw gedachtenis is van geslacht tot geslacht. 14Want de HEERE zal Zijn volk richten, en het zal Hem berouwen over Zijn knechten. 15De afgoden der heidenen zijn zilver en goud, een werk van mensenhanden. 16Zij hebben een mond, maar spreken niet; zij hebben ogen, maar zien niet; 17Oren hebben zij, maar horen niet; ook is er geen adem in hun mond. 18Dat die ze maken, hun gelijk worden, en al wie op hen vertrouwt. 19Gij huis Israels! looft den HEERE; gij huis Aarons! looft den HEERE. 20Gij huis van Levi! looft den HEERE; gij die den HEERE vreest! looft den HEERE. 21Geloofd zij de HEERE uit Sion, Die te Jeruzalem woont.
