1Per il Capo de’ musici. Di Davide, servo dell’Eterno. L’iniquità parla all’empio nell’intimo del suo cuore; non c’è timor di Dio davanti ai suoi occhi. 2Essa lo lusinga che la sua empietà non sarà scoperta né presa in odio. 3Le parole della sua bocca sono iniquità e frode; egli ha cessato d’esser savio e di fare il bene. 4Egli medita iniquità sopra il suo letto; si tiene nella via che non è buona; non aborre il male. 5O Eterno, la tua benignità va fino al cielo, e la tua fedeltà fino alle nuvole. 6La tua giustizia è come le montagne di Dio, i tuoi giudizi sono un grande abisso. O Eterno, tu conservi uomini e bestie. 7O Dio, com’è preziosa la tua benignità! Perciò i figliuoli degli uomini si rifugiano all’ombra delle tue ali, 8son saziati dell’abbondanza della tua casa, e tu li abbeveri al torrente delle tue delizie. 9Poiché in te è la fonte della vita, e per la tua luce noi vediamo la luce. 10Continua la tua benignità verso di quelli che ti conoscono, e la tua giustizia verso i retti di cuore. 11Non mi venga sopra il piè del superbo, e la mano degli empi non mi metta in fuga. 12Ecco là, gli operatori d’iniquità sono caduti; sono atterrati, e non possono risorgere.
1An oracle is within my heart about the disobedience of the wicked: “There is no fear of God before his eyes.” 2For he flatters himself in his own eyes, too much to detect and hate his sin. 3The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit. He has ceased to be wise and to do good. 4He plots iniquity on his bed. He sets himself in a way that is not good. He doesn’t abhor evil. 5Your loving kindness, Yahweh, is in the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the skies. 6Your righteousness is like the mountains of God. Your judgments are like a great deep. Yahweh, you preserve man and animal. 7How precious is your loving kindness, God! The children of men take refuge under the shadow of your wings. 8They shall be abundantly satisfied with the abundance of your house. You will make them drink of the river of your pleasures. 9For with you is the spring of life. In your light shall we see light. 10Oh continue your loving kindness to those who know you, your righteousness to the upright in heart. 11Don’t let the foot of pride come against me. Don’t let the hand of the wicked drive me away. 12There the workers of iniquity are fallen. They are thrust down, and shall not be able to rise.
1Een psalm van David, den knecht des HEEREN, voor den opperzangmeester. 2De overtreding des goddelozen spreekt in het binnenste van mijn hart: Er is geen vreze Gods voor zijn ogen. 3Want hij vleit zichzelven in zijn ogen, als men zijn ongerechtigheid bevindt, die te haten is. 4De woorden zijns monds zijn onrecht en bedrog; hij laat na te verstaan tot weldoen. 5Hij bedenkt onrecht op zijn leger; hij stelt zich op een weg, die niet goed is; het kwaad verwerpt hij niet. 6O HEERE! Uw goedertierenheid is tot in de hemelen; Uw waarheid tot de bovenste wolken toe. 7Uw gerechtigheid is als de bergen Gods; Uw oordelen zijn een grote afgrond; HEERE! Gij behoudt mensen en beesten. 8Hoe dierbaar is Uw goedertierenheid, o God! Dies de mensenkinderen onder de schaduw Uwer vleugelen toevlucht nemen. 9Zij worden dronken van de vettigheid Uws huizes; en Gij drenkt hen uit de beek Uwer wellusten. 10Want bij U is de fontein des levens; in Uw licht zien wij het licht. 11Strek Uw goedertierenheid uit over degenen, die U kennen, en Uw gerechtigheid over de oprechten van hart. 12De voet der hovaardigen kome niet over mij, en de hand der goddelozen doe mij niet omzwerven. Aldaar zijn de werkers der ongerechtigheid gevallen; zij zijn nedergestoten, en kunnen niet weder opstaan.
