1Salmo di lode. Di Davide. Io t’esalterò, o mio Dio, mio Re, benedirò il tuo nome in sempiterno. 2Ogni giorno ti benedirò e loderò il tuo nome in sempiterno. 3L’Eterno è grande e degno di somma lode, e la sua grandezza non si può investigare. 4Un’età dirà all’altra le lodi delle tue opere, e farà conoscer le tue gesta. 5Io mediterò sul glorioso splendore della tua maestà e sulle tue opere maravigliose. 6E gli uomini diranno la potenza dei tuoi atti tremendi, e io racconterò la tua grandezza. 7Essi proclameranno il ricordo della tua gran bontà, e canteranno con giubilo la tua giustizia. 8L’Eterno è misericordioso e pieno di compassione, lento all’ira e di gran benignità. 9L’Eterno è buono verso tutti, e le sue compassioni s’estendono a tutte le sue opere. 10Tutte le tue opere ti celebreranno, o Eterno, e i tuoi fedeli ti benediranno. 11Diranno la gloria del tuo regno, e narreranno la tua potenza 12per far note ai figliuoli degli uomini le tue gesta e la gloria della maestà del tuo regno. 13Il tuo regno è un regno eterno, e la tua signoria dura per ogni età. 14L’Eterno sostiene tutti quelli che cadono e rialza tutti quelli che son depressi. 15Gli occhi di tutti sono intenti verso di te, e tu dài loro il loro cibo a suo tempo. 16Tu apri la tua mano, e sazi il desiderio di tutto ciò che vive. 17L’Eterno è giusto in tutte le sue vie e benigno in tutte le sue opere. 18L’Eterno è presso a tutti quelli che lo invocano, a tutti quelli che lo invocano in verità. 19Egli adempie il desiderio di quelli che lo temono, ode il loro grido, e li salva. 20L’Eterno guarda tutti quelli che l’amano, ma distruggerà tutti gli empi. 21La mia bocca proclamerà la lode dell’Eterno, e ogni carne benedirà il nome della sua santità, in sempiterno.
1I will exalt you, my God, the King. I will praise your name forever and ever. 2Every day I will praise you. I will extol your name forever and ever. 3Great is Yahweh, and greatly to be praised! His greatness is unsearchable. 4One generation will commend your works to another, and will declare your mighty acts. 5Of the glorious majesty of your honor, of your wondrous works, I will meditate. 6Men will speak of the might of your awesome acts. I will declare your greatness. 7They will utter the memory of your great goodness, and will sing of your righteousness. 8Yahweh is gracious, merciful, slow to anger, and of great loving kindness. 9Yahweh is good to all. His tender mercies are over all his works. 10All your works will give thanks to you, Yahweh. Your saints will extol you. 11They will speak of the glory of your kingdom, and talk about your power; 12to make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, the glory of the majesty of his kingdom. 13Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. Your dominion endures throughout all generations. Yahweh is faithful in all his words, and loving in all his deeds. 14Yahweh upholds all who fall, and raises up all those who are bowed down. 15The eyes of all wait for you. You give them their food in due season. 16You open your hand, and satisfy the desire of every living thing. 17Yahweh is righteous in all his ways, and gracious in all his works. 18Yahweh is near to all those who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. 19He will fulfill the desire of those who fear him. He also will hear their cry, and will save them. 20Yahweh preserves all those who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy. 21My mouth will speak the praise of Yahweh. Let all flesh bless his holy name forever and ever.

Te allen dage zal ik U loven, en Uw Naam prijzen in eeuwigheid en altoos. 3Gimel. De HEERE is groot en zeer te prijzen, en Zijn grootheid is ondoorgrondelijk. 4Daleth. Geslacht aan geslacht zal Uw werken roemen; en zij zullen Uw mogendheden verkondigen. 5He. Ik zal uitspreken de heerlijkheid der eer Uwer majesteit, en Uw wonderlijke daden. 6Vau. En zij zullen vermelden de kracht Uwer vreselijke daden; en Uw grootheid, die zal ik vertellen. 7Zain. Zij zullen de gedachtenis der grootheid Uwer goedheid overvloediglijk uitstorten, en zij zullen Uw gerechtigheid met gejuich verkondigen. 8Cheth. Genadig en barmhartig is de HEERE, lankmoedig en groot van goedertierenheid. 9Teth. De HEERE is aan allen goed, en Zijn barmhartigheden zijn over al Zijn werken. 10Jod. Al Uw werken, HEERE, zullen U loven, en Uw gunstgenoten zullen U zegenen. 11Caph. Zij zullen de heerlijkheid Uws Koninkrijks vermelden, en Uw mogendheid zullen zij uitspreken. 12Lamed. Mijn mond zal den prijs des HEEREN uitspreken, en alle vlees zal Zijn heiligen Naam loven in der eeuwigheid en altoos.
