Salmi 20

1Al Capo de’ musici. Salmo di Davide. L’Eterno ti risponda nel dì della distretta; il nome dell’Iddio di Giacobbe ti levi in alto in salvo; 2ti mandi soccorso dal santuario, e ti sostenga da Sion; 3si ricordi di tutte le tue offerte ed accetti il tuo olocausto. Sela. 4Ti dia egli quel che il tuo cuore desidera, e adempia ogni tuo disegno. 5Noi canteremo d’allegrezza per la tua vittoria, e alzeremo le nostre bandiere nel nome dell’Iddio nostro. L’Eterno esaudisca tutte le tue domande. 6Già io so che l’Eterno ha salvato il suo Unto, e gli risponderà dal cielo della sua santità, con le potenti liberazioni della sua destra. 7Gli uni confidano in carri, e gli altri in cavalli; ma noi ricorderemo il nome dell’Eterno, dell’Iddio nostro. 8Quelli piegano e cadono; ma noi restiamo in piè e teniam fermo. 9O Eterno, salva il re! L’Eterno ci risponda nel giorno che noi l’invochiamo!

1May Yahweh answer you in the day of trouble. May the name of the God of Jacob set you up on high, 2send you help from the sanctuary, grant you support from Zion, 3remember all your offerings, and accept your burnt sacrifice. Selah. 4May He grant you your heart’s desire, and fulfill all your counsel. 5We will triumph in your salvation. In the name of our God, we will set up our banners. May Yahweh grant all your requests. 6Now I know that Yahweh saves his anointed. He will answer him from his holy heaven, with the saving strength of his right hand. 7Some trust in chariots, and some in horses, but we trust the name of Yahweh our God. 8They are bowed down and fallen, but we rise up, and stand upright. 9Save, Yahweh! Let the King answer us when we call!

1Een psalm van David, voor den opperzangmeester. 2De HEERE verhore u in den dag der benauwdheid; de Naam van den God Jakobs zette u in een hoog vertrek. 3Hij zende uw hulp uit het heiligdom, en ondersteune u uit Sion. 4Hij gedenke al uwer spijsofferen, en make uw brandoffer tot as. Sela. 5Hij geve u naar uw hart, en vervulle al uw raad. 6Wij zullen juichen over Uw heil, en de vaandelen opsteken in den Naam onzes Gods. De HEERE vervulle al uw begeerten. 7Alsnu weet ik, dat de HEERE Zijn Gezalfde behoudt; Hij zal Hem verhoren uit den hemel Zijner heiligheid; het heil Zijner rechterhand zal zijn met mogendheden. 8Dezen vermelden van wagens, en die van paarden; maar wij zullen vermelden van den Naam des HEEREN, onzes Gods. 9Zij hebben zich gekromd, en zijn gevallen; maar wij zijn gerezen en staande gebleven. O HEERE! behoud; die Koning verhore ons ten dage van ons roepen.
