Salmi 149

1Alleluia. Cantate all’Eterno un nuovo cantico, cantate la sua lode nell’assemblea dei fedeli. 2Si rallegri Israele in colui che lo ha fatto, esultino i figliuoli di Sion nel loro re. 3Lodino il suo nome con danze, gli salmeggino col timpano e la cetra, 4perché l’Eterno prende piacere nel suo popolo, egli adorna di salvezza gli umili. 5Esultino i fedeli adorni di gloria, cantino di gioia sui loro letti. 6Abbiano in bocca le alte lodi di Dio, una spada a due tagli in mano 7per far vendetta delle nazioni e infligger castighi ai popoli; 8per legare i loro re con catene e i loro nobili con ceppi di ferro, 9per eseguir su loro il giudizio scritto. Questo è l’onore che hanno tutti i suoi fedeli. Alleluia.

Dit zal de heerlijkheid van al Zijn gunstgenoten zijn. Hallelujah!
