1Beati quelli che sono integri nelle loro vie, che camminano secondo la legge dell’Eterno. 2Beati quelli che osservano le sue testimonianze, che lo cercano con tutto il cuore, 3ed anche non operano iniquità, ma camminano nelle sue vie. 4Tu hai ordinato i tuoi precetti perché siano osservati con cura. 5Oh siano le mie vie dirette all’osservanza dei tuoi statuti! 6Allora non sarò svergognato quando considererò tutti i tuoi comandamenti. 7Io ti celebrerò con dirittura di cuore, quando avrò imparato i tuoi giusti decreti. 8Io osserverò i tuoi statuti, non abbandonarmi del tutto. 9Come renderà il giovane la sua via pura? Col badare ad essa secondo la tua parola. 10Io ti ho cercato con tutto il mio cuore; non lasciarmi deviare dai tuoi comandamenti. 11Io ho riposto la tua parola nel mio cuore per non peccare contro di te. 12Tu sei benedetto, o Eterno; insegnami i tuoi statuti. 13Ho raccontato con le mie labbra tutti i giudizi della tua bocca. 14Io gioisco nella via delle tue testimonianze, come se possedessi tutte le ricchezze. 15Io mediterò sui tuoi precetti e considerò i tuoi sentieri. 16Io mi diletterò nei tuoi statuti, non dimenticherò la tua parola. 17Fa’ del bene al tuo servitore perché io viva ed osservi la tua parola. 18Apri gli occhi miei ond’io contempli le maraviglie della tua legge. 19Io sono un forestiero sulla terra; non mi nascondere i tuoi comandamenti. 20L’anima mia si strugge dalla brama che ha dei tuoi giudizi in ogni tempo. 21Tu sgridi i superbi, i maledetti, che deviano dai tuoi comandamenti. 22Togli di sopra a me il vituperio e lo sprezzo, perché io ho osservato le tue testimonianze. 23Anche quando i principi siedono e parlano contro di me, il tuo servitore medita i tuoi statuti. 24Sì, le tue testimonianze sono il mio diletto e i miei consiglieri. 25L’anima mia è attaccata alla polvere; vivificami secondo la tua parola. 26Io ti ho narrato le mie vie, e tu m’hai risposto; insegnami i tuoi statuti. 27Fammi intendere la via dei tuoi precetti, ed io mediterò le tue maraviglie. 28L’anima mia, dal dolore, si strugge in lacrime; rialzami secondo la tua parola. 29Tieni lontana da me la via della menzogna, e, nella tua grazia, fammi intender la tua legge. 30Io ho scelto la via della fedeltà, mi son posto i tuoi giudizi dinanzi agli occhi. 31Io mi tengo attaccato alle tue testimonianze; o Eterno, non lasciare che io sia confuso. 32Io correrò per la via dei tuoi comandamenti, quando m’avrai allargato il cuore. 33Insegnami, o Eterno, la via dei tuoi statuti ed io la seguirò fino alla fine. 34Dammi intelletto e osserverò la tua legge; la praticherò con tutto il cuore. 35Conducimi per il sentiero dei tuoi comandamenti, poiché io mi diletto in esso. 36Inclina il mio cuore alle tue testimonianze e non alla cupidigia. 37Distogli gli occhi miei dal contemplare la vanità, e vivificami nelle tue vie. 38Mantieni al tuo servitore la tua parola, che inculca il tuo timore. 39Rimuovi da me il vituperio ch’io temo, perché i tuoi giudizi son buoni. 40Ecco, io bramo i tuoi precetti, vivificami nella tua giustizia. 41Vengano su me le tue benignità, o Eterno, e la tua salvezza, secondo la tua parola. 42E avrò di che rispondere a chi mi fa vituperio, perché confido nella tua parola. 43Non mi toglier del tutto dalla bocca la parola della verità, perché spero nei tuoi giudizi. 44Ed io osserverò la tua legge del continuo, in sempiterno. 45E camminerò con libertà, perché ho cercato i tuoi precetti. 46Parlerò delle tue testimonianze davanti ai re e non sarò svergognato. 47E mi diletterò nei tuoi comandamenti, i quali io amo. 48Alzerò le mie mani verso i tuoi comandamenti che amo, e mediterò i tuoi statuti. 49Ricordati della parola detta al tuo servitore; su di essa m’hai fatto sperare. 50Questo è il mio conforto nella mia afflizione; che la tua parola mi vivifica. 51I superbi mi cuopron di scherno, ma io non devìo dalla tua legge. 52Io mi ricordo de’ tuoi giudizi antichi, o Eterno, e mi consolo. 53Un’ira ardente mi prende a motivo degli empi, che abbandonano la tua legge. 54I tuoi statuti sono i miei cantici, nella casa del mio pellegrinaggio. 55Io mi ricordo la notte del tuo nome, o Eterno, e osservo la tua legge. 56Questo bene mi è toccato, di osservare i tuoi precetti. 57L’Eterno è la mia parte; ho promesso d’osservare le tue parole. 58Io ho cercato il tuo favore con tutto il cuore: abbi pietà di me, secondo la tua parola. 59Io ho riflettuto alle mie vie e ho rivolto i miei passi verso le tue testimonianze. 60Mi sono affrettato, e non ho indugiato ad osservare i tuoi comandamenti. 61I lacci degli empi m’hanno avviluppato, ma io non ho dimenticato la tua legge. 62A mezzanotte io mi levo per celebrarti a motivo dei tuoi giusti giudizi. 63Io sono il compagno di tutti quelli che ti temono e di quelli che osservano i tuoi precetti. 64O Eterno, la terra è piena della tua benignità; insegnami i tuoi statuti. 65Tu hai fatto del bene al tuo servitore, o Eterno, secondo la tua parola. 66Dammi buon senno e intelligenza, perché ho creduto nei tuoi comandamenti. 67Prima che io fossi afflitto, andavo errando; ma ora osservo la tua parola. 68Tu sei buono e fai del bene; insegnami i tuoi statuti. 69I superbi hanno ordito menzogne contro a me, ma io osservo i tuoi precetti con tutto il cuore. 70Il loro cuore è denso come grasso, ma io mi diletto nella tua legge. 71E’ stato un bene per me l’essere afflitto, ond’io imparassi i tuoi statuti. 72La legge della tua bocca mi val meglio di migliaia di monete d’oro e d’argento. 73Le tue mani m’hanno fatto e formato; dammi intelletto e imparerò i tuoi comandamenti. 74Quelli che ti temono mi vedranno e si rallegreranno, perché ho sperato nella tua parola. 75Io so, o Eterno, che i tuoi giudizi son giusti, e che nella tua fedeltà m’hai afflitto. 76Deh, sia la tua benignità il mio conforto, secondo la tua parola detta al tuo servitore. 77Vengan su me le tue compassioni, ond’io viva; perché la tua legge è il mio diletto. 78Sian contusi i superbi, perché, mentendo, pervertono la mia causa; ma io medito i tuoi precetti. 79Rivolgansi a me quelli che ti temono e quelli che conoscono le tue testimonianze. 80Sia il mio cuore integro nei tuoi statuti ond’io non sia confuso. 81L’anima mia vien meno bramando la tua salvezza; io spero nella tua parola. 82Gli occhi miei vengon meno bramando la tua parola, mentre dico: Quando mi consolerai? 83Poiché io son divenuto come un otre al fumo; ma non dimentico i tuoi statuti. 84Quanti sono i giorni del tuo servitore? Quando farai giustizia di quelli che mi perseguitano? 85I superbi mi hanno scavato delle fosse; essi, che non agiscono secondo la tua legge. 86Tutti i tuoi comandamenti sono fedeltà; costoro mi perseguitano a torto; soccorrimi! 87Mi hanno fatto quasi sparire dalla terra; ma io non ho abbandonato i tuoi precetti. 88Vivificami secondo la tua benignità, ed io osserverò la testimonianza della tua bocca. 89In perpetuo, o Eterno, la tua parola è stabile nei cieli. 90La tua fedeltà dura d’età in età; tu hai fondato la terra ed essa sussiste. 91Tutto sussiste anche oggi secondo i tuoi ordini, perché ogni cosa è al tuo servigio. 92Se la tua legge non fosse stata il mio diletto, sarei già perito nella mia afflizione. 93Io non dimenticherò mai i tuoi precetti, perché per essi tu mi hai vivificato. 94Io son tuo, salvami, perché ho cercato i tuoi precetti. 95Gli empi m’hanno aspettato per farmi perire, ma io considero le tue testimonianze. 96Io ho veduto che ogni cosa perfetta ha un limite, ma il tuo comandamento ha una estensione infinita. 97Oh, quanto amo la tua legge! è la mia meditazione di tutto il giorno. 98I tuoi comandamenti mi rendon più savio dei miei nemici; perché sono sempre meco. 99Io ho più intelletto di tutti i miei maestri, perché le tue testimonianze son la mia meditazione. 100Io ho più intelligenza de’ vecchi, perché ho osservato i tuoi precetti. 101Io ho trattenuto i miei piedi da ogni sentiero malvagio, per osservare la tua parola. 102Io non mi sono distolto dai tuoi giudizi, perché tu m’hai ammaestrato. 103Oh come son dolci le tue parole al mio palato! Son più dolci del miele alla mia bocca. 104Mediante i tuoi precetti io divento intelligente; perciò odio ogni sentiero di falsità. 105La tua parola è una lampada al mio piè ed una luce sul mio sentiero. 106Io ho giurato, e lo manterrò, d’osservare i tuoi giusti giudizi. 107Io sono sommamente afflitto; o Eterno, vivificami secondo la tua parola. 108Deh, o Eterno, gradisci le offerte volontarie della mia bocca, e insegnami i tuoi giudizi. 109La vita mia è del continuo in pericolo ma io non dimentico la tua legge. 110Gli empi mi hanno teso dei lacci, ma io non mi sono sviato dai tuoi precetti. 111Le tue testimonianze son la mia eredità in perpetuo, perché son la letizia del mio cuore. 112Io ho inclinato il mio cuore a praticare i tuoi statuti, in perpetuo, sino alla fine. 113Io odio gli uomini dal cuor doppio, ma amo la tua legge. 114Tu sei il mio rifugio ed il mio scudo; io spero nella tua parola. 115Dipartitevi da me, o malvagi, ed io osserverò i comandamenti del mio Dio. 116Sostienmi secondo la tua parola, ond’io viva, e non rendermi confuso nella mia speranza. 117Sii il mio sostegno, e sarò salvo, e terrò del continuo i tuoi statuti dinanzi agli occhi. 118Tu disprezzi tutti quelli che deviano dai tuoi statuti, perché la loro frode è falsità. 119Tu togli via come schiuma tutti gli empi dalla terra; perciò amo le tue testimonianze. 120La mia carne rabbrividisce per lo spavento di te, e io temo i tuoi giudizi. 121Io ho fatto ciò che è diritto e giusto; non abbandonarmi ai miei oppressori. 122Da’ sicurtà per il bene del tuo servitore, e non lasciare che i superbi m’opprimano. 123Gli occhi miei vengon meno, bramando la tua salvezza e la parola della tua giustizia. 124Opera verso il tuo servitore secondo la tua benignità, e insegnami i tuoi statuti. 125Io sono tuo servitore; dammi intelletto, perché possa conoscere le tue testimonianze. 126E’ tempo che l’Eterno operi; essi hanno annullato la tua legge. 127Perciò io amo i tuoi comandamenti più dell’oro, più dell’oro finissimo. 128Perciò ritengo diritti tutti i tuoi precetti, e odio ogni sentiero di menzogna. 129Le tue testimonianze sono maravigliose; perciò l’anima mia le osserva. 130La dichiarazione delle tue parole illumina; dà intelletto ai semplici. 131Io ho aperto la bocca e ho sospirato perché ho bramato i tuoi comandamenti. 132Volgiti a me ed abbi pietà di me, com’è giusto che tu faccia a chi ama il tuo nome. 133Rafferma i miei passi nella tua parola, e non lasciare che alcuna iniquità mi domini. 134Liberami dall’oppressione degli uomini, ed io osserverò i tuoi precetti. 135Fa’ risplendere il tuo volto sul tuo servitore, e insegnami i tuoi statuti. 136Rivi di lacrime mi scendon giù dagli occhi, perché la tua legge non è osservata. 137Tu sei giusto, o Eterno, e diritti sono i tuoi giudizi. 138Tu hai prescritto le tue testimonianze con giustizia e con grande fedeltà. 139Il mio zelo mi consuma perché i miei nemici han dimenticato le tue parole. 140La tua parola è pura d’ogni scoria; perciò il tuo servitore l’ama. 141Io son piccolo e sprezzato, ma non dimentico i tuoi precetti. 142La tua giustizia è una giustizia eterna, e la tua legge è verità. 143Distretta e tribolazione m’hanno còlto, ma i tuoi comandamenti sono il mio diletto. 144Le tue testimonianze sono giuste in eterno; dammi intelletto ed io vivrò. 145Io grido con tutto il cuore; rispondimi, o Eterno! Io osserverò i tuoi statuti. 146Io t’invoco; salvami, e osserverò le tue testimonianze. 147Io prevengo l’alba e grido; io spero nella tua parola. 148Gli occhi miei prevengono lo vigilie della notte, per meditare la tua parola. 149Ascolta la mia voce secondo la tua benignità; o Eterno, vivificami secondo la tua giustizia. 150Si accostano a me quelli che van dietro alla scelleratezza; essi son lontani dalla tua legge. 151Tu sei vicino, o Eterno, e tutti i tuoi comandamenti son verità. 152Da lungo tempo so dalle tue testimonianze che tu le hai stabilite in eterno. 153Considera la mia afflizione, e liberami; perché non ho dimenticato la tua legge. 154Difendi tu la mia causa e riscattami; vivificami secondo la tua parola. 155La salvezza è lungi dagli empi, perché non cercano i tuoi statuti. 156Le tue compassioni son grandi, o Eterno; vivificami secondo i tuoi giudizi. 157I miei persecutori e i miei avversari son molti, ma io non devìo dalle tue testimonianze. 158Io ho veduto gli sleali e ne ho provato orrore; perché non osservano la tua parola. 159Vedi come amo i tuoi precetti! O Eterno, vivificami secondo la tua benignità. 160La somma della tua parola è verità; e tutti i giudizi della tua giustizia durano in eterno. 161I principi m’hanno perseguitato senza ragione, ma il mio cuore ha timore delle tue parole. 162Io mi rallegro della tua parola, come uno che trova grandi spoglie. 163Io odio e abomino la menzogna, ma amo la tua legge. 164Io ti lodo sette volte al giorno per i giudizi della tua giustizia. 165Gran pace hanno quelli che amano la tua legge, e non c’è nulla che possa farli cadere. 166Io ho sperato nella tua salvezza, o Eterno, e ho messo in pratica i tuoi comandamenti. 167L’anima mia ha osservato le tue testimonianze, ed io le amo grandemente. 168Io ho osservato i tuoi precetti e le tue testimonianze, perché tutte le mie vie ti stanno dinanzi. 169Giunga il mio grido dinanzi a te, o Eterno; dammi intelletto secondo la tua parola. 170Giunga la mia supplicazione in tua presenza; liberami secondo la tua parola. 171Le mie labbra esprimeranno la tua lode, perché tu m’insegni i tuoi statuti. 172La mia lingua celebrerà la tua parola, perché tutti i tuoi comandamenti sono giustizia. 173La tua mano mi aiuti, perché ho scelto i tuoi precetti. 174Io bramo la tua salvezza, o Eterno, e la tua legge è il mio diletto. 175L’anima mia viva, ed essa ti loderà; e mi soccorrano i tuoi giudizi. 176Io vo errando come pecora smarrita; cerca il tuo servitore, perché io non dimentico i tuoi comandamenti.
1Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who walk according to Yahweh’s law. 2Blessed are those who keep his statutes, who seek him with their whole heart. 3Yes, they do nothing wrong. They walk in his ways. 4You have commanded your precepts, that we should fully obey them. 5Oh that my ways were steadfast to obey your statutes! 6Then I wouldn’t be disappointed, when I consider all of your commandments. 7I will give thanks to you with uprightness of heart, when I learn your righteous judgments. 8I will observe your statutes. Don’t utterly forsake me. 9How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word. 10With my whole heart, I have sought you. Don’t let me wander from your commandments. 11I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you. 12Blessed are you, Yahweh. Teach me your statutes. 13With my lips, I have declared all the ordinances of your mouth. 14I have rejoiced in the way of your testimonies, as much as in all riches. 15I will meditate on your precepts, and consider your ways. 16I will delight myself in your statutes. I will not forget your word. 17Do good to your servant. I will live and I will obey your word. 18Open my eyes, that I may see wondrous things out of your law. 19I am a stranger on the earth. Don’t hide your commandments from me. 20My soul is consumed with longing for your ordinances at all times. 21You have rebuked the proud who are cursed, who wander from your commandments. 22Take reproach and contempt away from me, for I have kept your statutes. 23Though princes sit and slander me, your servant will meditate on your statutes. 24Indeed your statutes are my delight, and my counselors. 25My soul is laid low in the dust. Revive me according to your word! 26I declared my ways, and you answered me. Teach me your statutes. 27Let me understand the teaching of your precepts! Then I will meditate on your wondrous works. 28My soul is weary with sorrow: strengthen me according to your word. 29Keep me from the way of deceit. Grant me your law graciously! 30I have chosen the way of truth. I have set your ordinances before me. 31I cling to your statutes, Yahweh. Don’t let me be disappointed. 32I run in the path of your commandments, for you have set my heart free. 33Teach me, Yahweh, the way of your statutes. I will keep them to the end. 34Give me understanding, and I will keep your law. Yes, I will obey it with my whole heart. 35Direct me in the path of your commandments, for I delight in them. 36Turn my heart toward your statutes, not toward selfish gain. 37Turn my eyes away from looking at worthless things. Revive me in your ways. 38Fulfill your promise to your servant, that you may be feared. 39Take away my disgrace that I dread, for your ordinances are good. 40Behold, I long for your precepts! Revive me in your righteousness. 41Let your loving kindness also come to me, Yahweh, your salvation, according to your word. 42So I will have an answer for him who reproaches me, for I trust in your word. 43Don’t snatch the word of truth out of my mouth, for I put my hope in your ordinances. 44So I will obey your law continually, forever and ever. 45I will walk in liberty, for I have sought your precepts. 46I will also speak of your statutes before kings, and will not be disappointed. 47I will delight myself in your commandments, because I love them. 48I reach out my hands for your commandments, which I love. I will meditate on your statutes. 49Remember your word to your servant, because you gave me hope. 50This is my comfort in my affliction, for your word has revived me. 51The arrogant mock me excessively, but I don’t swerve from your law. 52I remember your ordinances of old, Yahweh, and have comforted myself. 53Indignation has taken hold on me, because of the wicked who forsake your law. 54Your statutes have been my songs, in the house where I live. 55I have remembered your name, Yahweh, in the night, and I obey your law. 56This is my way, that I keep your precepts. 57Yahweh is my portion. I promised to obey your words. 58I sought your favor with my whole heart. Be merciful to me according to your word. 59I considered my ways, and turned my steps to your statutes. 60I will hurry, and not delay, to obey your commandments. 61The ropes of the wicked bind me, but I won’t forget your law. 62At midnight I will rise to give thanks to you, because of your righteous ordinances. 63I am a friend of all those who fear you, of those who observe your precepts. 64The earth is full of your loving kindness, Yahweh. Teach me your statutes. 65Do good to your servant, according to your word, Yahweh. 66Teach me good judgment and knowledge, for I believe in your commandments. 67Before I was afflicted, I went astray; but now I observe your word. 68You are good, and do good. Teach me your statutes. 69The proud have smeared a lie upon me. With my whole heart, I will keep your precepts. 70Their heart is as callous as the fat, but I delight in your law. 71It is good for me that I have been afflicted, that I may learn your statutes. 72The law of your mouth is better to me than thousands of pieces of gold and silver. 73Your hands have made me and formed me. Give me understanding, that I may learn your commandments. 74Those who fear you will see me and be glad, because I have put my hope in your word. 75Yahweh, I know that your judgments are righteous, that in faithfulness you have afflicted me. 76Please let your loving kindness be for my comfort, according to your word to your servant. 77Let your tender mercies come to me, that I may live; for your law is my delight. 78Let the proud be disappointed, for they have overthrown me wrongfully. I will meditate on your precepts. 79Let those who fear you turn to me. They will know your statutes. 80Let my heart be blameless toward your decrees, that I may not be disappointed. 81My soul faints for your salvation. I hope in your word. 82My eyes fail for your word. I say, “When will you comfort me?” 83For I have become like a wineskin in the smoke. I don’t forget your statutes. 84How many are the days of your servant? When will you execute judgment on those who persecute me? 85The proud have dug pits for me, contrary to your law. 86All of your commandments are faithful. They persecute me wrongfully. Help me! 87They had almost wiped me from the earth, but I didn’t forsake your precepts. 88Preserve my life according to your loving kindness, so I will obey the statutes of your mouth. 89Yahweh, your word is settled in heaven forever. 90Your faithfulness is to all generations. You have established the earth, and it remains. 91Your laws remain to this day, for all things serve you. 92Unless your law had been my delight, I would have perished in my affliction. 93I will never forget your precepts, for with them, you have revived me. 94I am yours. Save me, for I have sought your precepts. 95The wicked have waited for me, to destroy me. I will consider your statutes. 96I have seen a limit to all perfection, but your commands are boundless. 97How I love your law! It is my meditation all day. 98Your commandments make me wiser than my enemies, for your commandments are always with me. 99I have more understanding than all my teachers, for your testimonies are my meditation. 100I understand more than the aged, because I have kept your precepts. 101I have kept my feet from every evil way, that I might observe your word. 102I have not turned aside from your ordinances, for you have taught me. 103How sweet are your promises to my taste, more than honey to my mouth! 104Through your precepts, I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way. 105Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path. 106I have sworn, and have confirmed it, that I will obey your righteous ordinances. 107I am afflicted very much. Revive me, Yahweh, according to your word. 108Accept, I beg you, the willing offerings of my mouth. Yahweh, teach me your ordinances. 109My soul is continually in my hand, yet I won’t forget your law. 110The wicked have laid a snare for me, yet I haven’t gone astray from your precepts. 111I have taken your testimonies as a heritage forever, for they are the joy of my heart. 112I have set my heart to perform your statutes forever, even to the end. 113I hate double-minded men, but I love your law. 114You are my hiding place and my shield. I hope in your word. 115Depart from me, you evildoers, that I may keep the commandments of my God. 116Uphold me according to your word, that I may live. Let me not be ashamed of my hope. 117Hold me up, and I will be safe, and will have respect for your statutes continually. 118You reject all those who stray from your statutes, for their deceit is in vain. 119You put away all the wicked of the earth like dross. Therefore I love your testimonies. 120My flesh trembles for fear of you. I am afraid of your judgments. 121I have done what is just and righteous. Don’t leave me to my oppressors. 122Ensure your servant’s well-being. Don’t let the proud oppress me. 123My eyes fail looking for your salvation, for your righteous word. 124Deal with your servant according to your loving kindness. Teach me your statutes. 125I am your servant. Give me understanding, that I may know your testimonies. 126It is time to act, Yahweh, for they break your law. 127Therefore I love your commandments more than gold, yes, more than pure gold. 128Therefore I consider all of your precepts to be right. I hate every false way. 129Your testimonies are wonderful, therefore my soul keeps them. 130The entrance of your words gives light. It gives understanding to the simple. 131I opened my mouth wide and panted, for I longed for your commandments. 132Turn to me, and have mercy on me, as you always do to those who love your name. 133Establish my footsteps in your word. Don’t let any iniquity have dominion over me. 134Redeem me from the oppression of man, so I will observe your precepts. 135Make your face shine on your servant. Teach me your statutes. 136Streams of tears run down my eyes, because they don’t observe your law. 137You are righteous, Yahweh. Your judgments are upright. 138You have commanded your statutes in righteousness. They are fully trustworthy. 139My zeal wears me out, because my enemies ignore your words. 140Your promises have been thoroughly tested, and your servant loves them. 141I am small and despised. I don’t forget your precepts. 142Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness. Your law is truth. 143Trouble and anguish have taken hold of me. Your commandments are my delight. 144Your testimonies are righteous forever. Give me understanding, that I may live. 145I have called with my whole heart. Answer me, Yahweh! I will keep your statutes. 146I have called to you. Save me! I will obey your statutes. 147I rise before dawn and cry for help. I put my hope in your words. 148My eyes stay open through the night watches, that I might meditate on your word. 149Hear my voice according to your loving kindness. Revive me, Yahweh, according to your ordinances. 150They draw near who follow after wickedness. They are far from your law. 151You are near, Yahweh. Revive me according to your promise. 155Salvation is far from the wicked, for they don’t seek your statutes. 156Great are your tender mercies, Yahweh. Revive me according to your ordinances. 157Many are my persecutors and my adversaries. I haven’t swerved from your testimonies. 158I look at the faithless with loathing, because they don’t observe your word. 159Consider how I love your precepts. Revive me, Yahweh, according to your loving kindness. 160All of your words are truth. Every one of your righteous ordinances endures forever. 161Princes have persecuted me without a cause, but my heart stands in awe of your words. 162I rejoice at your word, as one who finds great plunder. 163I hate and abhor falsehood. I love your law. 164Seven times a day, I praise you, because of your righteous ordinances. 165Those who love your law have great peace. Nothing causes them to stumble. 166I have hoped for your salvation, Yahweh. I have done your commandments. 167My soul has observed your testimonies. I love them exceedingly. 168I have obeyed your precepts and your testimonies, for all my ways are before you. 169Let my cry come before you, Yahweh. Give me understanding according to your word. 170Let my supplication come before you. Deliver me according to your word. 171Let my lips utter praise, for you teach me your statutes. 172Let my tongue sing of your word, for all your commandments are righteousness. 173Let your hand be ready to help me, for I have chosen your precepts. 174I have longed for your salvation, Yahweh. Your law is my delight. 175Let my soul live, that I may praise you. Let your ordinances help me. 176I have gone astray like a lost sheep. Seek your servant, for I don’t forget your commandments.

Welgelukzalig zijn de oprechten van wandel, die in de wet des HEEREN gaan. 2Welgelukzalig zijn zij, die Zijn getuigenissen onderhouden, die Hem van ganser harte zoeken; 3Ook geen onrecht werken, maar wandelen in Zijn wegen. 4HEERE! Gij hebt geboden, dat men Uw bevelen zeer bewaren zal. 5Och, dat mijn wegen gericht werden, om Uw inzettingen te bewaren! 6Dan zou ik niet beschaamd worden, wanneer ik merken zou op al Uw geboden. 7Ik zal U loven in oprechtheid des harten, als ik de rechten Uwer gerechtigheid geleerd zal hebben. 8Ik zal Uw inzettingen bewaren; verlaat mij niet al te zeer. 9Beth. Waarmede zal de jongeling zijn pad zuiver houden? Als hij dat houdt naar Uw woord. 10Ik zoek U met mijn gehele hart, laat mij van Uw geboden niet afdwalen. 11Ik heb Uw rede in mijn hart verborgen, opdat ik tegen U niet zondigen zou. 12HEERE! Gij zijt gezegend; leer mij Uw inzettingen. 13Ik heb met mijn lippen verteld al de rechten Uws monds. 14Ik ben vrolijker in den weg Uwer getuigenissen, dan over allen rijkdom. 15Ik zal Uw bevelen overdenken, en op Uw paden letten. 16Ik zal mijzelven vermaken in Uw inzettingen; Uw woord zal ik niet vergeten. 17Gimel. Doe wel bij Uw knecht, dat ik leve en Uw woord beware. 18Ontdek mijn ogen, dat ik aanschouwe de wonderen van Uw wet. 19Ik ben een vreemdeling op de aarde, verberg Uw geboden voor mij niet. 20Mijn ziel is verbroken vanwege het verlangen naar Uw oordelen te aller tijd. 21Gij scheldt de vervloekte hovaardigen, die van Uw geboden afdwalen. 22Wentel van mij versmaadheid en verachting, want ik heb Uw getuigenissen onderhouden. 23Als zelfs de vorsten zittende tegen mij gesproken hebben, heeft Uw knecht Uw inzettingen betracht. 24Ook zijn Uw getuigenissen mijn vermakingen, en mijn raadslieden. 25Daleth. Mijn ziel kleeft aan het stof; maak mij levend naar Uw woord. 26Ik heb U mijn wegen verteld, en Gij hebt mij verhoord; leer mij Uw inzettingen. 27Geef mij den weg Uwer bevelen te verstaan, opdat ik Uw wonderen betrachte. 28Mijn ziel druipt weg van treurigheid; richt mij op naar Uw woord. 29Wend van mij den weg der valsheid, en verleen mij genadiglijk Uw wet. 30Ik heb verkoren den weg der waarheid, Uw rechten heb ik mij voorgesteld. 31Ik kleef vast aan Uw getuigenissen; o HEERE! beschaam mij niet. 32Ik zal den weg Uwer geboden lopen, als Gij mijn hart verwijd zult hebben. 33He. HEERE! leer mij den weg Uwer inzettingen, en ik zal hem houden ten einde toe. 34Geef mij het verstand, en ik zal Uw wet houden; ja, ik zal ze onderhouden met gansen harte. 35Doe mij treden op het pad Uwer geboden, want daarin heb ik lust. 36Neig mijn hart tot Uw getuigenissen, en niet tot gierigheid. 37Wend mijn ogen af, dat zij geen ijdelheid zien; maak mij levend door Uw wegen. 38Bevestig Uw toezeggingen aan Uw knecht, die Uw vreze toegedaan is. 39Wend mijn smaadheid af, die ik vreze, want Uw rechten zijn goed. 40Zie, ik heb een begeerte tot Uw bevelen; maak mij levend door Uw gerechtigheid. 41Vau. En dat mij Uw goedertierenheden overkomen, o HEERE! Uw heil, naar Uw toezegging; 42Opdat ik mijn smader wat heb te antwoorden, want ik vertrouw op Uw woord. 43En ruk het woord der waarheid van mijn mond niet al te zeer, want ik hoop op Uw rechten. 44Zo zal ik Uw wet steeds onderhouden, eeuwiglijk en altoos. 45En ik zal wandelen in de ruimte, omdat ik Uw bevelen gezocht heb. 46Ook zal ik voor koningen spreken van Uw getuigenissen, en mij niet schamen. 47En ik zal mij vermaken in Uw geboden, die ik liefheb. 48En ik zal mijn handen opheffen naar Uw geboden, die ik liefheb, en ik zal Uw inzettingen betrachten. 49Zain. Gedenk des woords, tot Uw knecht gesproken, op hetwelk Gij mij hebt doen hopen. 50Dit is mijn troost in mijn ellende, want Uw toezegging heeft mij levend gemaakt. 51De hovaardigen hebben mij boven mate zeer bespot; nochtans ben ik van Uw wet niet geweken. 52Ik heb gedacht, o HEERE! aan Uw oordelen van ouds aan, en heb mij getroost. 53Grote beroering heeft mij bevangen vanwege de goddelozen, die Uw wet verlaten. 54Uw inzettingen zijn mij gezangen geweest, ter plaatse mijner vreemdelingschappen. 55HEERE! des nachts ben ik Uws Naams gedachtig geweest, en heb Uw wet bewaard. 56Dat is mij geschied, omdat ik Uw bevelen bewaard heb. 57Cheth. De HEERE is mijn deel, ik heb gezegd, dat ik Uw woorden zal bewaren. 58Ik heb Uw aanschijn ernstelijk gebeden van ganser harte, wees mij genadig naar Uw toezegging. 59Ik heb mijn wegen bedacht, en heb mijn voeten gekeerd tot Uw getuigenissen. 60Ik heb gehaast, en niet vertraagd Uw geboden te onderhouden. 61De goddeloze hopen hebben mij beroofd; nochtans heb ik Uw wet niet vergeten. 62Te middernacht sta ik op, om U te loven voor de rechten Uwer gerechtigheid. 63Ik ben een gezel van allen, die U vrezen, en van hen, die Uw bevelen onderhouden. 64HEERE! de aarde is vol van Uw goedertierenheid; leer mij Uw inzettingen. 65Teth. Gij hebt bij Uw knecht goed gedaan, HEERE, naar Uw woord. 66Leer mij een goeden zin en wetenschap, want ik heb aan Uw geboden geloofd. 67Eer ik verdrukt werd, dwaalde ik, maar nu onderhoud ik Uw woord. 68Gij zijt goed en goeddoende; leer mij Uw inzettingen. 69De hovaardigen hebben leugens tegen mij gestoffeerd; doch ik bewaar Uw bevelen van ganser harte. 70Hun hart is vet als smeer; maar ik heb vermaak in Uw wet. 71Het is mij goed, dat ik verdrukt ben geweest, opdat ik Uw inzettingen leerde. 72De wet Uws monds is mij beter, dan duizenden van goud of zilver. 73Jod. Uw handen hebben mij gemaakt, en bereid; maak mij verstandig, opdat ik Uw geboden lere. 74Die U vrezen, zullen mij aanzien, en zich verblijden, omdat ik op Uw woord gehoopt heb. 75Ik weet, HEERE! dat Uw gerichten de gerechtigheid zijn, en dat Gij mij uit getrouwheid verdrukt hebt. 76Laat toch Uw goedertierenheid zijn om mij te troosten, naar Uw toezegging aan Uw knecht. 77Laat mij Uw barmhartigheden overkomen, opdat ik leve, want Uw wet is al mijn vermaking. 78Laat de hovaardigen beschaamd worden, omdat zij mij met leugen nedergestoten hebben; doch ik betracht Uw geboden. 79Laat hen tot mij keren, die U vrezen, en die Uw getuigenissen kennen. 80Laat mijn hart oprecht zijn tot Uw inzettingen, opdat ik niet beschaamd worde. 81Caph. Mijn ziel is bezweken van verlangen naar Uw heil; op Uw woord heb ik gehoopt. 82Mijn ogen zijn bezweken van verlangen naar Uw toezegging, terwijl ik zeide: Wanneer zult Gij mij vertroosten? 83Want ik ben geworden als een lederen zak in den rook; doch Uw inzettingen heb ik niet vergeten. 84Hoe vele zullen de dagen Uws knechts zijn? Wanneer zult Gij recht doen over mijn vervolgers? 85De hovaardigen hebben mij putten gegraven, hetwelk niet is naar Uw wet. 86Al Uw geboden zijn waarheid; zij vervolgen mij met leugen, help mij. 87Zij hebben mij bijna vernietigd op de aarde, maar ik heb Uw bevelen niet verlaten. 88Maak mij levend naar Uw goedertierenheid, dan zal ik de getuigenis Uws monds onderhouden. 89Lamed. O HEERE! Uw woord bestaat in der eeuwigheid in de hemelen. 90Uw goedertierenheid is van geslacht tot geslacht; Gij hebt de aarde vastgemaakt, en zij blijft staan; 91Naar Uw verordeningen blijven zij nog heden staan, want zij allen zijn Uw knechten. 92Indien Uw wet niet ware geweest al mijn vermaking, ik ware in mijn druk al lang vergaan. 93Ik zal Uw bevelen in der eeuwigheid niet vergeten, want door dezelve hebt Gij mij levend gemaakt. 94Ik ben Uw, behoud mij, want ik heb Uw bevelen gezocht. 95De goddelozen hebben op mij gewacht, om mij te doen vergaan; ik neem acht op Uw getuigenissen. 96In alle volmaaktheid heb ik een einde gezien; maar Uw gebod is zeer wijd. 97Mem. Hoe lief heb ik Uw wet! Zij is mijn betrachting den gansen dag. 98Zij maakt mij door Uw geboden wijzer, dan mijn vijanden zijn, want zij is in eeuwigheid bij mij. 99Ik ben verstandiger dan al mijn leraars, omdat Uw getuigenissen mijn betrachting zijn. 100Ik ben voorzichtiger dan de ouden, omdat ik Uw bevelen bewaard heb. 101Ik heb mijn voeten geweerd van alle kwade paden, opdat ik Uw woord zou onderhouden. 102Ik ben niet geweken van Uw rechten, want Gij hebt mij geleerd. 103Hoe zoet zijn Uw redenen mijn gehemelte geweest, meer dan honig mijn mond! 104Uit Uw bevelen krijg ik verstand, daarom haat ik alle leugenpaden. 105Nun. Uw woord is een lamp voor mijn voet, en een licht voor mijn pad. 106Ik heb gezworen, en zal het bevestigen, dat ik onderhouden zal de rechten Uwer gerechtigheid. 107Ik ben gans zeer verdrukt, HEERE! maak mij levend naar Uw woord. 108Laat U toch, o HEERE! welgevallen de vrijwillige offeranden mijns monds, en leer mij Uw rechten. 109Mijn ziel is geduriglijk in mijn hand; nochtans vergeet ik Uw wet niet. 110De goddelozen hebben mij een strik gelegd; nochtans ben ik niet afgedwaald van Uw bevelen. 111Ik heb Uw getuigenissen genomen tot een eeuwige erve, want zij zijn mijns harten vrolijkheid. 112Ik heb mijn hart geneigd, om Uw inzettingen eeuwiglijk te doen, ten einde toe. 113Samech. Ik haat de kwade ranken, maar heb Uw wet lief. 114Gij zijt mijn Schuilplaats en mijn Schild; op Uw Woord heb ik gehoopt. 115Wijkt van mij, gij boosdoeners! dat ik de geboden mijns Gods moge bewaren. 116Ondersteun mij naar Uw toezegging, opdat ik leve; en laat mij niet beschaamd worden over mijn hope. 117Ondersteun mij, zo zal ik behouden zijn; dan zal ik mij steeds in Uw inzettingen vermaken. 118Gij vertreedt al degenen, die van Uw inzettingen afdwalen, want hun bedrog is leugen. 119Gij doet alle goddelozen der aarde weg als schuim, daarom heb ik Uw getuigenissen lief. 120Het haar mijns vleses is te berge gerezen van verschrikking voor U, en ik heb gevreesd voor Uw oordelen. 121Ain. Ik heb recht en gerechtigheid gedaan; geef mij niet over aan mijn onderdrukkers. 122Wees borg voor Uw knecht ten goede; laat de hovaardigen mij niet onderdrukken. 123Mijn ogen zijn bezweken van verlangen naar Uw heil, en naar de toezegging Uwer rechtvaardigheid. 124Doe bij Uw knecht naar Uw goedertierenheid, en leer mij Uw inzettingen. 125Ik ben Uw knecht, maak mij verstandig, en ik zal Uw getuigenissen kennen. 126Het is tijd voor den HEERE, dat Hij werke, want zij hebben Uw wet verbroken. 127Daarom heb ik Uw geboden lief, meer dan goud, ja, meer dan het fijnste goud. 128Daarom heb ik alle Uw bevelen, van alles, voor recht gehouden; maar alle valse pad heb ik gehaat. 129Pe. Uw getuigenissen zijn wonderbaar, daarom bewaart ze mijn ziel. 130De opening Uwer woorden geeft licht, de slechten verstandig makende. 131Ik heb mijn mond wijd opengedaan, en gehijgd, want ik heb verlangd naar Uw geboden. 132Zie mij aan, wees mij genadig, naar het recht aan degenen, die Uw Naam beminnen. 133Maak mijn voetstappen vast in Uw Woord, en laat geen ongerechtigheid over mij heersen. 134Verlos mij van des mensen overlast, en ik zal Uw bevelen onderhouden. 135Doe Uw aangezicht lichten over Uw knecht, en leer mij Uw inzettingen. 136Waterbeken vlieten af uit mijn ogen, omdat zij Uw wet niet onderhouden. 137Tsade. HEERE! Gij zijt rechtvaardig, en elkeen Uwer oordelen is recht. 138Gij hebt de gerechtigheid Uwer getuigenissen, en de waarheid hogelijk geboden. 139Mijn ijver heeft mij doen vergaan, omdat mijn wederpartijders Uw woorden vergeten hebben. 140Uw woord is zeer gelouterd, en Uw knecht heeft het lief. 141Ik ben klein en veracht, doch Uw bevelen vergeet ik niet. 142Uw gerechtigheid is gerechtigheid in eeuwigheid, en Uw wet is de waarheid. 143Benauwdheid en angst hebben mij getroffen, doch Uw geboden zijn mijn vermakingen. 144De gerechtigheid Uwer getuigenissen is in der eeuwigheid; doe ze mij verstaan, zo zal ik leven. 145Koph. Ik heb van ganser harte geroepen: verhoor mij, o HEERE! ik zal Uw inzettingen bewaren. 146Ik heb U aangeroepen, verlos mij, en ik zal Uw getuigenissen onderhouden. 147Ik ben de morgen schemering voorgekomen, en heb geschrei gemaakt; op Uw woord heb ik gehoopt. 148Mijn ogen komen de nacht waken voor, om Uw rede te betrachten. 149Hoor mijn stem naar Uw goedertierenheid, o HEERE! maak mij levend naar Uw recht. 150Die kwade praktijken najagen, genaken mij, zij wijken verre van Uw wet. 151Maar Gij, HEERE! zijt nabij, en al Uw geboden zijn waarheid. 152Van ouds heb ik geweten van Uw getuigenissen, dat Gij ze in eeuwigheid gegrond hebt. 153Resch. Zie mijn ellende aan, en help mij uit, want Uw wet heb ik niet vergeten. 154Twist mijn twistzaak, en verlos mij, maak mij levend, naar Uw toezegging. 155Het heil is verre van de goddelozen, want zij zoeken Uw inzettingen niet. 156HEERE! Uw barmhartigheden zijn vele; maak mij levend naar Uw rechten. 157Mijn vervolgers en mijn wederpartijders zijn vele, maar van Uw getuigenissen wijk ik niet. 158Ik heb gezien degenen, die trouwelooslijk handelen, en het verdroot mij, dat zij Uw woord niet onderhielden. 159Zie aan, dat ik Uw bevelen lief heb, o HEERE! maak mij levend naar Uw goedertierenheid. 160Het begin Uws woords is waarheid, en in der eeuwigheid is al het recht Uwer gerechtigheid. 161Schin. De vorsten hebben mij vervolgd zonder oorzaak; maar mijn hart heeft gevreesd voor Uw woord. 162Ik ben vrolijk over Uw toezegging, als een, die een groten buit vindt. 163Ik haat de valsheid, en heb er een gruwel van; maar Uw wet heb ik lief. 164Ik loof U zeven maal des daags, over de rechten Uwer gerechtigheid. 165Die Uw wet beminnen, hebben groten vrede, en zij hebben geen aanstoot. 166O HEERE! ik hoop op Uw heil, en doe Uw geboden. 167Mijn ziel onderhoudt Uw getuigenissen, en ik heb ze zeer lief. 168Ik onderhoud Uw bevelen en Uw getuigenissen, want al mijn wegen zijn voor U. 169Thau. O HEERE! laat mijn geschrei voor Uw aanschijn genaken, maak mij verstandig naar Uw woord. 170Laat mijn smeken voor Uw aanschijn komen, red mij naar Uw toezegging. 171Mijn lippen zullen Uw lof overvloediglijk uitstorten, als Gij mij Uw inzettingen zult geleerd hebben. 172Mijn tong zal spraak houden van Uw rede, want al Uw geboden zijn rechtvaardigheid. 173Laat Uw hand mij te hulp komen, want ik heb Uw bevelen verkoren. 174O HEERE! ik verlang naar Uw heil, en Uw wet is al mijn vermaking. 175Laat mijn ziel leven, en zij zal U loven, en laat Uw rechten mij helpen. 176Ik heb gedwaald als een verloren schaap; zoek Uw knecht, want Uw geboden heb ik niet vergeten.
