Salmi 87

1Salmo dei figliuoli di Kore. Canto. L’Eterno ha fondato la sua città sui monti santi. 2Egli ama le porte di Sion più di tutte le dimore di Giacobbe. 3Cose gloriose son dette di te, o città di Dio! Sela. 4Io mentoverò l’Egitto e Babilonia fra quelli che mi conoscono: Ecco la Filistia e Tiro, con l’Etiopia: Ciascun d’essi è nato in Sion! 5E si dirà di Sion: Questo qui e quello là son nati in lei; e l’Altissimo stesso la renderà stabile. 6L’Eterno iscriverà, passando in rassegna i popoli: Questo è nato là. Sela. 7E cantando e danzando diranno: Tutte le fonti della mia gioia sono in te.

1His foundation is in the holy mountains. 2Yahweh loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob. 3Glorious things are spoken about you, city of God. Selah. 4I will record Rahab and Babylon among those who acknowledge me. Behold, Philistia, Tyre, and also Ethiopia: “This one was born there.” 5Yes, of Zion it will be said, “This one and that one was born in her”; the Most High himself will establish her. 6Yahweh will count, when he writes up the peoples, “This one was born there.” Selah. 7Those who sing as well as those who dance say, “All my springs are in you.”

Zijn grondslag is op de bergen der heiligheid. 2De HEERE bemint de poorten van Sion boven alle woningen van Jakob. 3Zeer heerlijke dingen worden van u gesproken, o stad Gods! Sela. 4Ik zal Rahab en Babel vermelden, onder degenen, die Mij kennen; ziet, de Filistijn, en de Tyrier, met den Moor, deze is aldaar geboren. 5En van Sion zal gezegd worden: Die en die is daarin geboren; en de Allerhoogste Zelf zal hen bevestigen. 6De HEERE zal hen rekenen in het opschrijven der volken, zeggende: Deze is aldaar geboren. Sela. 7En de zangers, gelijk de speellieden, mitsgaders al mijn fonteinen, zullen binnen u zijn.
