Salmi 99

1L’Eterno regna; tremino i popoli; egli siede sui cherubini, la terra sia scossa. 2L’Eterno è grande in Sion, ed eccelso sopra tutti i popoli. 3Lodino essi il tuo nome grande e tremendo. Egli è santo. 4Lodino la forza del Re che ama la giustizia; sei tu che hai fondato il diritto, che hai esercitato in Giacobbe il giudicio e la giustizia. 5Esaltate l’Eterno, l’Iddio nostro, e prostratevi dinanzi allo sgabello de’ suoi piedi. Egli è santo. 6Mosè ed Aaronne fra i suoi sacerdoti, e Samuele fra quelli che invocavano il suo nome, invocaron l’Eterno, ed egli rispose loro. 7Parlò loro dalla colonna della nuvola; essi osservarono le sue testimonianze e gli statuti che diede loro. 8Tu li esaudisti, o Eterno, Iddio nostro! Fosti per loro un Dio perdonatore, benché tu punissi le loro male azioni. 9Esaltate l’Eterno, l’Iddio nostro, e adorate sul monte della sua santità; perché l’Eterno, l’Iddio nostro, è santo.

1Yahweh reigns! Let the peoples tremble. He sits enthroned among the cherubim. Let the earth be moved. 2Yahweh is great in Zion. He is high above all the peoples. 3Let them praise your great and awesome name. He is Holy! 4The King’s strength also loves justice. You do establish equity. You execute justice and righteousness in Jacob. 5Exalt Yahweh our God. Worship at his footstool. He is Holy! 6Moses and Aaron were among his priests, Samuel among those who call on his name; they called on Yahweh, and he answered them. 7He spoke to them in the pillar of cloud. They kept his testimonies, the statute that he gave them. 8You answered them, Yahweh our God. You are a God who forgave them, although you took vengeance for their doings. 9Exalt Yahweh, our God. Worship at his holy hill, for Yahweh, our God, is holy!

1De HEERE regeert, dat de volken beven; Hij zit tussen de cherubim; de aarde bewege zich. 2De HEERE is groot in Sion, en Hij is hoog boven alle volken. 3Dat zij Uw groten en vreselijken Naam loven, die heilig is; 4En de sterkte des Konings, die het recht lief heeft. Gij hebt billijkheden bevestigd, Gij hebt recht en gerechtigheid gedaan in Jakob. 5Verheft den HEERE, onzen God, en buigt u neder voor de voetbank Zijner voeten; Hij is heilig! 6Mozes en Aaron waren onder Zijn priesters, en Samuel onder de aanroepers Zijns Naams; zij riepen tot den HEERE, en Hij verhoorde hen. 7Hij sprak tot hen in een wolkkolom; zij hebben Zijn getuigenissen onderhouden, en de inzettingen, die Hij hun gegeven had. 8O HEERE, onze God! Gij hebt hen verhoord, Gij zijt hun geweest een vergevend God, hoewel wraak doende over hun daden. 9Verheft den HEERE, onzen God, en buigt u voor den berg Zijner heiligheid; want de HEERE, onze God, is heilig.
