Thi-thiên 16

1Ðức Chúa Trời ôi! xin hãy phù hộ tôi, vì tôi nương náu mình nơi Chúa. 2Tôi đã nói cùng Ðức Giê-hô-va rằng: Ngài là Chúa tôi; Trừ Ngài ra tôi không có phước gì khác. 3Tôi lấy làm thích mọi đàng Các người thánh trên đất, và những bực cao trọng. 4Sự buồn rầu của những kẻ dâng của lễ cho thần khác sẽ thêm nhiều lên: Tôi sẽ không dâng lễ quán bằng huyết của chúng nó, Cũng không xưng tên chúng nó trên môi tôi. 5Ðức Giê-hô-va là phần cơ nghiệp và là cái chén của tôi: Ngài gìn giữ phần sản tôi. 6Tôi may được phần cơ nghiệp ở trong nơi tốt lành; Phải, tôi có được cơ nghiệp đẹp đẽ. 7Tôi sẽ ngợi khen Ðức Giê-hô-va, là Ðấng khuyên bảo tôi; Ban đêm lòng tôi cũng dạy dỗ tôi. 8Tôi hằng để Ðức Giê-hô-va đứng ở trước mặt tôi; Tôi chẳng hề bị rúng động, vì Ngài ở bên hữu tôi. 9Bởi cớ ấy lòng tôi vui vẻ, linh hồn tôi nức mừng rỡ; Xác tôi cũng sẽ nghỉ yên ổn; 10Vì Chúa sẽ chẳng bỏ linh hồn tôi trong âm phủ, Cũng không để người thánh Chúa thấy sự hư nát. 11Chúa sẽ chỉ cho tôi biết con đường sự sống; Trước mặt Chúa có trọn sự khoái lạc, Tại bên hữu Chúa có điều vui sướng vô cùng.

1Preserve me, God, for in you do I take refuge. 2My soul, you have said to Yahweh, “You are my Lord. Apart from you I have no good thing.” 3As for the saints who are in the earth, they are the excellent ones in whom is all my delight. 4Their sorrows shall be multiplied who give gifts to another god. Their drink offerings of blood I will not offer, nor take their names on my lips. 5Yahweh assigned my portion and my cup. You made my lot secure. 6The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places. Yes, I have a good inheritance. 7I will bless Yahweh, who has given me counsel. Yes, my heart instructs me in the night seasons. 8I have set Yahweh always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. 9Therefore my heart is glad, and my tongue rejoices. My body shall also dwell in safety. 10For you will not leave my soul in Sheol, neither will you allow your holy one to see corruption. 11You will show me the path of life. In your presence is fullness of joy. In your right hand there are pleasures forever more.

1Een gouden kleinood van David. Bewaar mij, o God! want ik betrouw op U. 2O mijn ziel! gij hebt tot den HEERE gezegd: Gij zijt de HEERE, mijn goedheid raakt niet tot U; 3Maar tot de heiligen, die op de aarde zijn, en de heerlijken, in dewelke al mijn lust is. 4De smarten dergenen, die een anderen God begiftigen, zullen vermenigvuldigd worden; ik zal hun drankofferen van bloed niet offeren, en hun namen op mijn lippen niet nemen. 5De HEERE is het deel mijner erve, en mijns bekers; Gij onderhoudt mijn lot. 6De snoeren zijn mij in liefelijke plaatsen gevallen; ja, een schone erfenis is mij geworden. 7Ik zal den HEERE loven, Die mij raad heeft gegeven; zelfs bij nacht onderwijzen mij mijn nieren. 8Ik stel den HEERE geduriglijk voor mij, omdat Hij aan mijn rechterhand is, zal ik niet wankelen. 9Daarom is mijn hart verblijd, en mijn eer verheugt zich; ook zal mijn vlees zeker wonen. 10Want Gij zult mijn ziel in de hel niet verlaten; Gij zult niet toelaten, dat Uw Heilige de verderving zie. 11Gij zult mij het pad des levens bekend maken; verzadiging der vreugde is bij Uw aangezicht; liefelijkheden zijn in Uw rechterhand, eeuwiglijk.
