1Guarda-me, ó Deus; porque eu confio em ti. 2Tu, minha alma , disseste ao SENHOR: Tu és meu Senhor; minha bondade não chega até ti. 3Mas aos santos que estão na terra, e a os ilustres, nos quais está todo o meu prazer. 4As dores se multiplicarão daqueles que se apressam para servir a outros deuses ; eu não oferecerei seus sacrifícios de derramamento de sangue, e não tomarei seus nomes em meus lábios. 5O SENHOR é a porção da minha herança e o meu cálice; tu sustentas a minha sorte. 6Em lugares agradáveis foram postos os limites do meu terreno ; sim, eu recebo uma bela propriedade. 7Eu louvarei ao SENHOR, que me aconselhou; até de noite meus sentimentos me ensinam. 8Ponho ao SENHOR continuamente diante de mim; porque ele está à minha direita; nunca serei abalado. 9Por isso meu coração está contente, e minha glória se alegra; certamente minha carne habitará em segurança. 10Porque tu não deixarás a minha alma no mundo dos mortos, nem permitirás que teu Santo veja corrupção. 11Tu me farás conhecer o caminho da vida; fartura de alegrias há em tua presença; agrados estão em tua mão direita para sempre.
1Preserve me, God, for in you do I take refuge. 2My soul, you have said to Yahweh, “You are my Lord. Apart from you I have no good thing.” 3As for the saints who are in the earth, they are the excellent ones in whom is all my delight. 4Their sorrows shall be multiplied who give gifts to another god. Their drink offerings of blood I will not offer, nor take their names on my lips. 5Yahweh assigned my portion and my cup. You made my lot secure. 6The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places. Yes, I have a good inheritance. 7I will bless Yahweh, who has given me counsel. Yes, my heart instructs me in the night seasons. 8I have set Yahweh always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. 9Therefore my heart is glad, and my tongue rejoices. My body shall also dwell in safety. 10For you will not leave my soul in Sheol, neither will you allow your holy one to see corruption. 11You will show me the path of life. In your presence is fullness of joy. In your right hand there are pleasures forever more.

Bewaar mij, o God! want ik betrouw op U. 2O mijn ziel! gij hebt tot den HEERE gezegd: Gij zijt de HEERE, mijn goedheid raakt niet tot U; 3Maar tot de heiligen, die op de aarde zijn, en de heerlijken, in dewelke al mijn lust is. 4De smarten dergenen, die een anderen God begiftigen, zullen vermenigvuldigd worden; ik zal hun drankofferen van bloed niet offeren, en hun namen op mijn lippen niet nemen. 5De HEERE is het deel mijner erve, en mijns bekers; Gij onderhoudt mijn lot. 6De snoeren zijn mij in liefelijke plaatsen gevallen; ja, een schone erfenis is mij geworden. 7Ik zal den HEERE loven, Die mij raad heeft gegeven; zelfs bij nacht onderwijzen mij mijn nieren. 8Ik stel den HEERE geduriglijk voor mij, omdat Hij aan mijn rechterhand is, zal ik niet wankelen. 9Daarom is mijn hart verblijd, en mijn eer verheugt zich; ook zal mijn vlees zeker wonen. 10Want Gij zult mijn ziel in de hel niet verlaten; Gij zult niet toelaten, dat Uw Heilige de verderving zie. 11Gij zult mij het pad des levens bekend maken; verzadiging der vreugde is bij Uw aangezicht; liefelijkheden zijn in Uw rechterhand, eeuwiglijk.
