Thi-thiên 2

1Nhơn sao các ngoại bang náo loạn? Và những dân tộc toan mưu chước hư không? 2Các vua thế gian nổi dậy, Các quan trưởng bàn nghị cùng nhau Nghịch Ðức Giê-hô-va, và nghịch Ðấng chịu xức dầu của Ngài, mà rằng: 3Chúng ta hãy bẻ lòi tói của hai Người, Và quăng xa ta xiềng xích của họ. 4Ðấng ngự trên trời sẽ cười, Chúa sẽ nhạo báng chúng nó. 5Bấy giờ Ngài sẽ nổi thạnh nộ phán cùng chúng nó, Dùng cơn giận dữ mình khuấy khỏa chúng nó, mà rằng: 6Dầu vậy, ta đã lập Vua ta Trên Si-ôn là núi thánh ta. 7Ta sẽ giảng ra mạng lịnh: Ðức Giê-hô-va phán cùng ta rằng: Ngươi là Con ta; Ngày nay ta đã sanh Ngươi. 8Hãy cầu ta, ta sẽ ban cho Con các ngoại bang làm cơ nghiệp, Và các đầu cùng đất làm của cải. 9Con sẽ dùng cây gậy sắt mà đập bể chúng nó; Con sẽ làm vỡ nát chúng nó khác nào bình gốm. 10Vì vậy, hỡi các vua, hãy khôn ngoan; Hỡi các quan xét thế gian, hãy chịu sự dạy dỗ. 11Khá hầu việc Ðức Giê-hô-va cách kính sợ, Và mừng rỡ cách run rẩy. 12Hãy hôn Con, e Người nổi giận, Và các ngươi hư mất trong đường chăng; Vì cơn thạnh nộ Người hòng nổi lên. Phàm kẻ nào nương náu mình nơi Người có phước thay!

1Why do the nations rage, and the peoples plot a vain thing? 2The kings of the earth take a stand, and the rulers take counsel together, against Yahweh, and against his Anointed, saying, 3“Let’s break their bonds apart, and cast their cords from us.” 4He who sits in the heavens will laugh. The Lord will have them in derision. 5Then he will speak to them in his anger, and terrify them in his wrath: 6“Yet I have set my King on my holy hill of Zion.” 7I will tell of the decree. Yahweh said to me, “You are my son. Today I have become your father. 8Ask of me, and I will give the nations for your inheritance, the uttermost parts of the earth for your possession. 9You shall break them with a rod of iron. You shall dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.” 10Now therefore be wise, you kings. Be instructed, you judges of the earth. 11Serve Yahweh with fear, and rejoice with trembling. 12Give sincere homage to the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish on the way, for his wrath will soon be kindled. Blessed are all those who take refuge in him.

1Waarom woeden de heidenen, en bedenken de volken ijdelheid? 2De koningen der aarde stellen zich op, en de vorsten beraadslagen te zamen tegen den HEERE, en tegen Zijn Gezalfde, zeggende: 3Laat ons hun banden verscheuren, en hun touwen van ons werpen. 4Die in den hemel woont, zal lachen; de HEERE zal hen bespotten. 5Dan zal Hij tot hen spreken in Zijn toorn, en in Zijn grimmigheid zal Hij hen verschrikken. 6Ik toch heb Mijn Koning gezalfd over Sion, den berg Mijner heiligheid. 7Ik zal van het besluit verhalen: de HEERE heeft tot Mij gezegd: Gij zijt Mijn Zoon, heden heb Ik U gegenereerd. 8Eis van Mij, en Ik zal de heidenen geven tot Uw erfdeel, en de einden der aarde tot Uw bezitting. 9Gij zult hen verpletteren met een ijzeren scepter; Gij zult hen in stukken slaan als een pottenbakkersvat. 10Nu dan, gij koningen, handelt verstandiglijk; laat u tuchtigen, gij rechters der aarde! 11Dient den HEERE met vreze, en verheugt u met beving. 12Kust den Zoon, opdat Hij niet toorne, en gij op den weg vergaat, wanneer Zijn toorn maar een weinig zou ontbranden. Welgelukzalig zijn allen, die op Hem betrouwen.
