1Ðức Giê-hô-va ôi! từ nơi sâu thẩm tôi cầu khẩn Ngài. 2Chúa ôi! xin nghe tiếng tôi; Nguyện tôi Chúa lắng nghe Tiếng nài xin của tôi. 3Hỡi Ðức Giê-hô-va, nếu Ngài cố chấp sự gian ác. Thì, Chúa ôi! ai sẽ còn sống? 4Nhưng Chúa có lòng tha thứ cho, Ðể người ta kính sợ Chúa. 5Tôi trông đợi Ðức Giê-hô-va, linh hồn tôi trông đợi Ngài; Tôi trông đợi lời của Ngài. 6Linh hồn tôi trông đợi Chúa Hơn người lính canh trông đợi sáng, Thật, hơn người lính canh trông đợi sáng. 7Hỡi Y-sơ-ra-ên, hãy trông cậy nơi Ðức Giê-hô-va; Vì Ðức Giê-hô-va có lòng nhơn từ, Nơi Ngài có sự cứu rỗi nhiều; 8Chánh Ngài sẽ chuộc Y-sơ-ra-ên Khỏi các sự gian ác người.

1Out of the depths I have cried to you, Yahweh. 2Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my petitions. 3If you, Yah, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand? 4But there is forgiveness with you, therefore you are feared. 5I wait for Yahweh. My soul waits. I hope in his word. 6My soul longs for the Lord more than watchmen long for the morning; more than watchmen for the morning. 7Israel, hope in Yahweh, for with Yahweh there is loving kindness. With him is abundant redemption. 8He will redeem Israel from all their sins.

Uit de diepten roep ik tot U, o HEERE! 2HEERE! hoor naar mijn stem; laat Uw oren opmerkende zijn op de stem mijner smekingen. 3Zo Gij, HEERE! de ongerechtigheden gadeslaat; HEERE! wie zal bestaan? 4Maar bij U is vergeving, opdat Gij gevreesd wordt. 5Ik verwacht den HEERE; mijn ziel verwacht, en ik hoop op Zijn Woord. 6Mijn ziel wacht op den HEERE, meer dan de wachters op den morgen; de wachters op den morgen. 7Israel hope op den HEERE; want bij den HEERE is goedertierenheid, en bij Hem is veel verlossing. 8En Hij zal Israel verlossen van al zijn ongerechtigheden.
