Thi-thiên 56

1Ðức Chúa Trời ôi! xin thương xót tôi; vì người ta muốn ăn nuốt tôi; Hằng ngày họ đánh giặc cùng tôi, và hà hiếp tôi. 2Trọn ngày kẻ thù nghịch tôi muốn ăn nuốt tôi, Vì những kẻ đáng giặc cùng tôi cách kiêu ngạo là nhiều thay. 3Trong ngày sợ hãi, Tôi sẽ để lòng nhờ cậy nơi Chúa. 4Tôi nhờ Ðức Chúa Trời, và ngợi khen lời của Ngài; Tôi để lòng tin cậy nơi Ðức Chúa Trời, ấy sẽ chẳng sợ gì; Người xác thịt sẽ làm chi tôi? 5Hằng ngày chúng nó trái ý lời tôi, Các tư tưởng chúng nó đều toan hại tôi. 6Chúng nó nhóm nhau lại, rình rập, nom dòm các bước tôi, Bởi vì chúng nó muốn hại mạng sống tôi. 7Chúng nó sẽ nhờ sự gian ác mà được thoát khỏi sao? Hỡi Ðức Chúa Trời, xin hãy nổi giận mà đánh đổ các dân. 8Chúa đếm các bước đi qua đi lại của tôi: Xin Chúa để nước mắt tôi trong ve của Chúa, Nước mắt tôi há chẳng được ghi vào sổ Chúa sao? 9Ngày nào tôi kêu cầu, các kẻ thù nghịch tôi sẽ thối lại sau; Tôi biết điều đó, vì Ðức Chúa Trời binh vực tôi. 10Tôi nhờ Ðức Giê-hô-va, và ngợi khen lời của Ngài; Tôi nhờ Ðức Giê-hô-va, và ngợi khen lời của Ngài. 11Tôi đã để lòng tin cậy nơi Ðức Chúa Trời, ắt sẽ chẳng sợ chi; Người đời sẽ làm chi tôi? 12Hỡi Ðức Chúa Trời, điều tôi hứa nguyện cùng Chúa vẫn ở trên mình tôi; Tôi sẽ dâng của lễ thù ân cho Chúa. 13Vì Chúa đã giải cứu linh hồn tôi khỏi chết: Chúa há chẳng giữ chơn tôi khỏi vấp ngã, Hầu cho tôi đi trước mặt Ðức Chúa Trời trong sự sáng của sự sống?

1Be merciful to me, God, for man wants to swallow me up. All day long, he attacks and oppresses me. 2My enemies want to swallow me up all day long, for they are many who fight proudly against me. 3When I am afraid, I will put my trust in you. 4In God, I praise his word. In God, I put my trust. I will not be afraid. What can flesh do to me? 5All day long they twist my words. All their thoughts are against me for evil. 6They conspire and lurk, watching my steps, they are eager to take my life. 7Shall they escape by iniquity? In anger cast down the peoples, God. 8You number my wanderings. You put my tears into your bottle. Aren’t they in your book? 9Then my enemies shall turn back in the day that I call. I know this, that God is for me. 10In God, I will praise his word. In Yahweh, I will praise his word. 11I have put my trust in God. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me? 12Your vows are on me, God. I will give thank offerings to you. 13For you have delivered my soul from death, and prevented my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living.

1Een gouden kleinood van David, voor den opperzangmeester, op Jonath Elem Rechokim; als de Filistijnen hem gegrepen hadden te Gath. 2Wees mij genadig, o God! want de mens zoekt mij op te slokken; den gansen dag dringt mij de bestrijder. 3Mijn verspieders zoeken mij den gansen dag op te slokken; want ik heb veel bestrijders, o Allerhoogste! 4Ten dage, als ik zal vrezen, zal ik op U vertrouwen. 5In God zal ik Zijn woord prijzen; ik vertrouw op God, ik zal niet vrezen; wat zoude mij vlees doen? 6Den gansen dag verdraaien zij mijn woorden; al hun gedachten zijn tegen mij ten kwade. 7Zij rotten samen, zij versteken zich, zij passen op mijn hielen; als die op mijn ziel wachten. 8Zouden zij om hun ongerechtigheid vrijgaan? Stort de volken neder in toorn, o God! 9Gij hebt mijn omzwerven geteld; leg mijn tranen in uw fles; zijn zij niet in Uw register? 10Dan zullen mijn vijanden achterwaarts keren, ten dage als ik roepen zal; dit weet ik, dat God met mij is. 11In God zal ik het woord prijzen; in den HEERE zal ik het woord prijzen. 12Ik vertrouw op God, ik zal niet vrezen; wat zou mij de mens doen? 13O God! op mij zijn Uw geloften; ik zal U dankzeggingen vergelden; Want Gij hebt mijn ziel gered van den dood; ook niet mijn voeten van aanstoot, om voor Gods aangezicht te wandelen in het licht der levenden?
