Thi-thiên 85

1Hỡi Ðức Giê-hô-va, Ngài đã làm ơn cho xứ Ngài, Ðem những phu tù của Gia-cốp trở về. 2Chúa đã tha gian ác cho dân sự Chúa, Và khỏa lấp mọi tội lỗi của họ. 3Chúa đã thâu lại sự giận dữ Chúa, Nguôi sự nóng nảy về thạnh nộ Chúa. 4Hỡi Ðức Chúa Trời về sự cứu rỗi chúng tôi, xin hãy đem chúng ta trở lại, Và dứt sự tức giận về chúng tôi. 5Chúa sẽ giận chúng tôi mãi mãi ư? Cơn thạnh nộ Chúa há sẽ còn đời đời sao? 6Chúa há chẳng khứng làm cho chúng tôi sống lại, Hầu cho dân Chúa vui vẻ nơi Chúa sao? 7Hỡi Ðức Giê-hô-va, xin cho chúng tôi thấy sự nhơn từ Ngài, Và ban cho chúng ta sự cứu rỗi của Ngài, 8Tôi sẽ nghe điều Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời phán: Vì Ngài sẽ phán bình an cho dân sự, và cho người thánh của Ngài. Nhưng họ chớ nên trở lại sự ngu dại nữa. 9Sự cứu rỗi của Ngài thật ở gần những kẻ kính sợ Ngài, hầu cho sự vinh hiển được ở trong xứ chúng ta. 10Sự thương xót và sự chơn thật đã gặp nhau; Sự công bình và sự bình an đã hôn nhau. 11Sự chơn thật nứt mộng từ dưới đất; Sự công bình từ trên trời ngó xuống. 12Phải, Ðức Giê-hô-va sẽ ban vật tốt, Xứ chúng ta sẽ sanh sản hoa lợi nó. 13Sự công bình sẽ đi trước mặt Ngài, Làm cho dấu chơn Ngài thành con đường đáng theo.

1Yahweh, you have been favorable to your land. You have restored the fortunes of Jacob. 2You have forgiven the iniquity of your people. You have covered all their sin. Selah. 3You have taken away all your wrath. You have turned from the fierceness of your anger. 4Turn us, God of our salvation, and cause your indignation toward us to cease. 5Will you be angry with us forever? Will you draw out your anger to all generations? 6Won’t you revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you? 7Show us your loving kindness, Yahweh. Grant us your salvation. 8I will hear what God, Yahweh, will speak, for he will speak peace to his people, his saints; but let them not turn again to folly. 9Surely his salvation is near those who fear him, that glory may dwell in our land. 10Mercy and truth meet together. Righteousness and peace have kissed each other. 11Truth springs out of the earth. Righteousness has looked down from heaven. 12Yes, Yahweh will give that which is good. Our land will yield its increase. 13Righteousness goes before him, And prepares the way for his steps.

1Een psalm, voor den opperzangmeester, onder de kinderen van Korach. 2Gij zijt Uw lande gunstig geweest, HEERE! de gevangenis van Jakob hebt Gij gewend. 3De misdaad Uws volks hebt Gij weggenomen; Gij hebt al hun zonden bedekt. Sela. 4Gij hebt weggenomen al Uw verbolgenheid; Gij hebt U gewend van de hittigheid Uws toorns. 5Breng ons weder, o God onzes heils! en doe te niet Uw toornigheid over ons. 6Zult Gij eeuwiglijk tegen ons toornen? Zult Gij Uw toorn uitstrekken van geslacht tot geslacht? 7Zult Gij ons niet weder levend maken, opdat Uw volk zich in U verblijde? 8Toon ons Uw goedertierenheid, o HEERE, en geef ons Uw heil. 9Ik zal horen, wat God, de HEERE, spreken zal; want Hij zal tot Zijn volk en tot Zijn gunstgenoten van vrede spreken; maar dat zij niet weder tot dwaasheid keren. 10Zekerlijk, Zijn heil is nabij degenen, die Hem vrezen, opdat in ons land eer wone. 11De goedertierenheid en waarheid zullen elkander ontmoeten; de gerechtigheid en vrede zullen elkander kussen. 12De waarheid zal uit de aarde spruiten, en gerechtigheid zal van den hemel nederzien. 13Ook zal de HEERE het goede geven; en ons land zal zijn vrucht geven. De gerechtigheid zal voor Zijn aangezicht henengaan, en Hij zal ze zetten op den weg Zijner voetstappen.
