Thi-thiên 138

1Tôi sẽ hết lòng cảm tạ Chúa, Hát ngợi khen Chúa trước mặt các thần. 2Tôi sẽ thờ lạy hướng về đền thánh của Chúa, Cảm tạ danh Chúa vì sự nhơn từ và sự chơn thật của Chúa; Vì Chúa đã làm cho lời Chúa được tôn cao Hơn cả danh-thinh Chúa. 3Trong ngày tôi kêu cầu, Chúa đáp lại, Giục lòng tôi mạnh mẽ. 4Hỡi Ðức Giê-hô-va, các vua thế gian sẽ cảm tạ Ngài, Vì họ đã nghe những lời của miệng Ngài. 5Phải, họ sẽ hát xướng về đường lối Ðức Giê-hô-va, Vì vinh hiển Ðức Giê-hô-va là lớn thay. 6Dầu Ðức Giê-hô-va cao cả, thì cũng đoái đến những người hèn hạ; Còn kẻ kiêu ngạo, Ngài nhận biết từ xa. 7Dẫu tôi đi giữa gian truân, Chúa sẽ làm cho tôi được sống, Giơ tay Chúa ra chống trả cơn giận của kẻ thù nghịch tôi, Và tay hữu Chúa sẽ cứu tôi. 8Ðức Giê-hô-va sẽ làm xong việc thuộc về tôi. Hỡi Ðức Giê-hô-va, sự nhơn từ Ngài còn đến đời đời; Xin chớ bỏ công việc của tay Ngài.

1I will give you thanks with my whole heart. Before the gods, I will sing praises to you. 2I will bow down toward your holy temple, and give thanks to your Name for your loving kindness and for your truth; for you have exalted your Name and your Word above all. 3In the day that I called, you answered me. You encouraged me with strength in my soul. 4All the kings of the earth will give you thanks, Yahweh, for they have heard the words of your mouth. 5Yes, they will sing of the ways of Yahweh; for great is Yahweh’s glory. 6For though Yahweh is high, yet he looks after the lowly; but the proud, he knows from afar. 7Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you will revive me. You will stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies. Your right hand will save me. 8Yahweh will fulfill that which concerns me; your loving kindness, Yahweh, endures forever. Don’t forsake the works of your own hands.

1Een psalm van David. Ik zal U loven met mijn gehele hart; in de tegenwoordigheid der goden zal ik U psalmzingen. 2Ik zal mij nederbuigen naar het paleis Uwer heiligheid, en ik zal Uw Naam loven, om Uw goedertierenheid en om Uw waarheid; want Gij hebt vanwege Uw gansen Naam Uw woord groot gemaakt. 3Ten dage, als ik riep, zo hebt Gij mij verhoord; Gij hebt mij versterkt met kracht in mijn ziel. 4Alle koningen der aarde zullen U, o HEERE! loven, wanneer zij gehoord zullen hebben de redenen Uws monds. 5En zij zullen zingen van de wegen des HEEREN, want de heerlijkheid des HEEREN is groot. 6Want de HEERE is hoog, nochtans ziet Hij de nederige aan, en den verhevene kent Hij van verre. 7Als ik wandel in het midden der benauwdheid, maakt Gij mij levend; Uw hand strekt Gij uit tegen den toorn mijner vijanden, en Uw rechterhand behoudt mij. 8De HEERE zal het voor mij voleinden; Uw goedertierenheid, HEERE! is in der eeuwigheid; en laat niet varen de werken Uwer handen.
