1Ðức Chúa Trời tôi ôi! xin giải cứu tôi khỏi các kẻ thù nghịch tôi, Bảo hộ tôi khỏi những kẻ dấy nghịch cùng tôi. 2Xin hãy giải tôi khỏi những kẻ làm ác, Và cứu tôi khỏi những người làm đổ huyết. 3Vì kìa, chúng nó rình rập hại mạng sống tôi; Ðức Giê-hô-va ơi! những người mạnh dạn nhóm họp nhau nghịch tôi; Chẳng phải vì sự vi phạm tôi, cũng chẳng vì tội lỗi tôi. 4Mặc dầu tôi không lầm lỗi, chúng nó chạy tới toan đánh; Xin Chúa hãy tỉnh thức để giúp đỡ tôi, và hãy xem xét. 5Hỡi Giê-hô-va, Ðức Chúa Trời vạn quân, là Ðức Chúa Trời của Y-sơ-ra-ên, Xin hãy chổi dậy để thăm viếng các nước; Chớ thương xót kẻ náo phạm gian ác. 6Buổi chiều chúng nó trở lại, tru như chó, Và đi vòng quanh thành. 7Kìa, miệng chúng nó tuôn lời mắng chưởi; Những gươm ở nơi môi chúng nó; Vì chúng nó rằng: Có ai nghe đâu? 8Nhưng, Ðức Giê-hô-va ơi, Ngài sẽ cười chúng nó, Và nhạo báng các nước. 9Bởi cớ sức lực nó, tôi sẽ ngửa trông Chúa; Vì Ðức Chúa Trời là nơi ẩn náu cao của tôi. 10Ðức Chúa Trời sẽ lấy sẽ nhơn từ Ngài mà đến đón tôi; Ðức Chúa Trời sẽ cho tôi thấy sự báo trả kẻ thù nghịch tôi. 11Hỡi Chúa, là cái khiến đỡ chúng tôi, Chớ giết họ, e dân sự tôi quên chăng; Hãy dùng quyền năng Chúa mà tan lạc và đánh đổ chúng nó đi. 12Vì cớ tội miệng chúng nó, tức là lời môi chúng nó, Và vì cớ nguyền rủa và sự dối trá mà chúng nó nói ra, Nguyện chúng nó bị mắc trong sự kiêu ngạo mình! 13Xin Chúa hãy nổi giận mà tiêu diệt chúng nó, khá tiêu diệt đi, Hầu cho chúng nó không còn nữa; Hãy cho chúng nó biết rằng Ðức Chúa Trời cai trị nơi Gia-cốp, Cho đến cùng đầu trái đất. 14Buổi chiều chúng nó trở lại, tru như chó, Và đi vòng quanh thành. 15Chúng nó đi đây đó đặng kiếm ăn; Nếu không được no nê, thì sẽ ở trọn đêm tại đó. 16Nhưng tôi sẽ ca hát về sức lực Chúa; Phải, buổi sáng tôi sẽ hát lớn tiếng về sự nhơn từ Chúa; Vì Chúa là nơi ẩn náu cao của tôi, Một nơi nương náu mình trong ngày gian truân. 17Hỡi sức lực tôi, tôi sẽ ngợi khen Ngài; Vì Ðức Chúa Trời là nơi ẩn náu cao của tôi, tức là Ðức Chúa Trời làm ơn cho tôi.
1Deliver me from my enemies, my God. Set me on high from those who rise up against me. 2Deliver me from the workers of iniquity. Save me from the bloodthirsty men. 3For, behold, they lie in wait for my soul. The mighty gather themselves together against me, not for my disobedience, nor for my sin, Yahweh. 4I have done no wrong, yet they are ready to attack me. Rise up, behold, and help me! 5You, Yahweh God of Armies, the God of Israel, rouse yourself to punish the nations. Show no mercy to the wicked traitors. Selah. 6They return at evening, howling like dogs, and prowl around the city. 7Behold, they spew with their mouth. Swords are in their lips, “For”, they say, “who hears us?” 8But you, Yahweh, laugh at them. You scoff at all the nations. 9Oh, my Strength, I watch for you, for God is my high tower. 10My God will go before me with his loving kindness. God will let me look at my enemies in triumph. 11Don’t kill them, or my people may forget. Scatter them by your power, and bring them down, Lord our shield. 12For the sin of their mouth, and the words of their lips, let them be caught in their pride, for the curses and lies which they utter. 13Consume them in wrath. Consume them, and they will be no more. Let them know that God rules in Jacob, to the ends of the earth. Selah. 14At evening let them return. Let them howl like a dog, and go around the city. 15They shall wander up and down for food, and wait all night if they aren’t satisfied. 16But I will sing of your strength. Yes, I will sing aloud of your loving kindness in the morning. For you have been my high tower, a refuge in the day of my distress. 17To you, my strength, I will sing praises. For God is my high tower, the God of my mercy.
1Een gouden kleinood van David, voor den opperzangmeester, Altascheth; toen Saul gezonden had, die zijn huis bewaren zouden, om hem te doden. 2Red mij van mijn vijanden, o mijn God! stel mij in een hoog vertrek voor degenen, die tegen mij opstaan. 3Red mij van de werkers der ongerechtigheid, en verlos mij van de mannen des bloeds. 4Want zie, zij leggen mijner ziel lagen; sterken rotten zich tegen mij; zonder mijn overtreding, en zonder mijn zonde, o HEERE! 5Zij lopen en bereiden zich zonder mijn misdaad; waak op mij tegemoet, en zie. 6Ja, Gij HEERE, God der heirscharen, God Israels! ontwaak, om al deze heidenen te bezoeken; wees niemand van hen genadig, die trouwelooslijk ongerechtigheid bedrijven. Sela. 7Tegen den avond keren zij weder, zij tieren als een hond, en zij gaan rondom de stad. 8Zie, zij storten overvloediglijk uit met hun mond; zwaarden zijn op hun lippen; want wie hoort het? 9Maar Gij, HEERE! zult hen belachen; Gij zult alle heidenen bespotten. 10Tegen zijn sterkte zal ik op U wachten; want God is mijn Hoog Vertrek. 11De God mijner goedertierenheid zal mij voorkomen; God zal mij op mijn verspieders doen zien. 12Dood hen niet, opdat mijn volk het niet vergete; doe hen omzwerven door Uw macht, en werp hen neder, o Heere, ons Schild! 13Om de zonde huns monds, om het woord hunner lippen; en laat hen gevangen worden in hun hoogmoed; en om den vloek, en om de leugen, die zij vertellen. 14Verteer hen in grimmigheid; verteer hen, dat zij er niet zijn, en laat hen weten, dat God heerser is in Jakob, ja, tot aan de einden der aarde. Sela. 15Laat hen dan tegen de avond wederkeren, laat hen tieren als een hond, en rondom de stad gaan; 16Laat hen zelfs omzwerven om spijs; en laat hen vernachten, al zijn zij niet verzadigd. 17Maar ik zal Uw sterkte zingen, en des morgens Uw goedertierenheid vrolijk roemen, omdat Gij mij een Hoog Vertrek zijt geweest, en een Toevlucht ten dage, als mij bange was. Van U, o mijn Sterkte! zal ik psalmzingen; want God is mijn Hoog Vertrek, de God mijner goedertierenheid.
