Salmos 14

1O tolo diz em seu coração: Não há Deus.Eles têm se pervertido, fazem obras abomináveis; não há quem faça o bem. 2O SENHOR olhou desde os céus para os filhos dos homens, para ver se havia alguém prudente, que buscasse a Deus. 3Todos se desviaram, juntamente se contaminaram; não há quem faça o bem, nem um sequer. 4Será que não têm conhecimento todos os que praticam a maldade? Eles devoram a meu povo como se comessem pão, e não clamam ao SENHOR. 5Ali eles se encherão de medo, porque Deus está com a geração dos justos. 6Vós envergonhais os planos do humilde, mas o SENHOR é o refúgio dele. 7Ah, que de Sião venha a salvação de Israel! Quando o SENHOR restaurar o seu povo de seu infortúnio, Jacó jubilará, Israel se alegrará.

1The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt. They have done abominable works. There is no one who does good. 2Yahweh looked down from heaven on the children of men, to see if there were any who understood, who sought after God. 3They have all gone aside. They have together become corrupt. There is no one who does good, no, not one. 4Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, who eat up my people as they eat bread, and don’t call on Yahweh? 5There they were in great fear, for God is in the generation of the righteous. 6You frustrate the plan of the poor, because Yahweh is his refuge. 7Oh that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion! When Yahweh restores the fortunes of his people, then Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

1Een psalm van David, voor den opperzangmeester. De dwaas zegt in zijn hart: Er is geen God. Zij verderven het, zij maken het gruwelijk met hun werk; er is niemand, die goed doet. 2De HEERE heeft uit den hemel nedergezien op de mensenkinderen, om te zien, of iemand verstandig ware, die God zocht. 3Zij zijn allen afgeweken, te zamen zijn zij stinkende geworden; er is niemand, die goed doet, ook niet een. 4Hebben dan alle werkers der ongerechtigheid geen kennis, die mijn volk opeten, alsof zij brood aten? Zij roepen den HEERE niet aan. 5Aldaar zijn zij met vervaardheid vervaard; want God is bij het geslacht des rechtvaardigen. 6Gijlieden beschaamt den raad des ellendigen, omdat de HEERE zijn Toevlucht is. 7Och, dat Israels verlossing uit Sion kwam! Als de HEERE de gevangenen Zijns volks zal doen wederkeren, dan zal zich Jakob verheugen, Israel zal verblijd zijn.
