Salmos 115

1Não a nós, SENHOR; não a nós, mas a teu nome dá glória; por tua bondade, por tua fidelidade. 2Porque as nações dirão: Onde está o Deus deles? 3Porém nosso Deus está nos céus, ele faz tudo o que lhe agrada. 4Os ídolos deles são prata e ouro, obras de mãos humanas. 5Têm boca, mas não falam; têm olhos, mas não veem; 6Têm ouvidos, mas não ouvem; tem nariz, mas não cheiram; 7Têm mãos, mas não apalpam; têm pés, mas não andam; nem falam com suas gargantas. 8Tornem-se como eles os que os fazem, e todos os que neles confiam. 9Ó Israel, confia no SENHOR; ele é sua ajuda e seu escudo. 10Ó casa de Arão, confiai no SENHOR; ele é sua ajuda e seu escudo. 11Vós que temeis ao SENHOR, confiai no SENHOR; ele é sua ajuda e seu escudo. 12O SENHOR tem se lembrado de nós; ele há de abençoar; ele abençoará a casa de Israel; ele abençoará a casa de Arão. 13Ele abençoará aos que temem ao SENHOR; tanto os pequenos como os grandes. 14O SENHOR vos aumentará, vós e vossos filhos. 15Benditos sois vós que pertenceis ao SENHOR, que fez os céus e a terra. 16Quanto aos céus, os céus são do SENHOR; mas a terra ele deu aos filhos dos homens. 17Os mortos não louvam ao SENHOR, nem os que descem ao silêncio. 18Porém nós bendiremos ao SENHOR, desde agora e para sempre. Aleluia!

1Not to us, Yahweh, not to us, but to your name give glory, for your loving kindness, and for your truth’s sake. 2Why should the nations say, “Where is their God, now?” 3But our God is in the heavens. He does whatever he pleases. 4Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands. 5They have mouths, but they don’t speak. They have eyes, but they don’t see. 6They have ears, but they don’t hear. They have noses, but they don’t smell. 7They have hands, but they don’t feel. They have feet, but they don’t walk, neither do they speak through their throat. 8Those who make them will be like them; yes, everyone who trusts in them. 9Israel, trust in Yahweh! He is their help and their shield. 10House of Aaron, trust in Yahweh! He is their help and their shield. 11You who fear Yahweh, trust in Yahweh! He is their help and their shield. 12Yahweh remembers us. He will bless us. He will bless the house of Israel. He will bless the house of Aaron. 13He will bless those who fear Yahweh, both small and great. 14May Yahweh increase you more and more, you and your children. 15Blessed are you by Yahweh, who made heaven and earth. 16The heavens are the heavens of Yahweh; but the earth has he given to the children of men. 17The dead don’t praise Yah, neither any who go down into silence; 18But we will bless Yah, from this time forward and forever more. Praise Yah!

1Niet ons, o HEERE! niet ons, maar Uw Naam geef eer, om Uwer goedertierenheid, om Uwer waarheid wil. 2Waarom zouden de heidenen zeggen: Waar is nu hun God? 3Onze God is toch in den hemel, Hij doet al wat Hem behaagt. 4Hunlieder afgoden zijn zilver en goud, het werk van des mensen handen; 5Zij hebben een mond, maar spreken niet; zij hebben ogen, maar zien niet; 6Oren hebben zij, maar horen niet; zij hebben een neus, maar zij rieken niet; 7Hun handen hebben zij, maar tasten niet; hun voeten, maar gaan niet; zij geven geen geluid door hun keel. 8Dat die hen maken hun gelijk worden, en al wie op hen vertrouwt. 9Israel! vertrouw gij op den HEERE; Hij is hun Hulp en hun Schild. 10Gij huis van Aaron! vertrouw op den HEERE; Hij is hun Hulp en hun Schild. 11Gijlieden, die den HEERE vreest! vertrouwt op den HEERE; Hij is hun Hulp en hun Schild. 12De HEERE is onzer gedachtig geweest, Hij zal zegenen; Hij zal het huis van Israel zegenen, Hij zal het huis van Aaron zegenen. 13Hij zal zegenen, die den HEERE vrezen, de kleinen met de groten. 14De HEERE zal den zegen over ulieden vermeerderen, over ulieden en over uw kinderen. 15Gijlieden zijt den HEERE gezegend, Die den hemel en de aarde gemaakt heeft. 16Aangaande den hemel, de hemel is des HEEREN; maar de aarde heeft Hij de mensenkinderen gegeven. 17De doden zullen den HEERE niet prijzen, noch die in de stilte nedergedaald zijn. 18Maar wij zullen den HEERE loven van nu aan tot in der eeuwigheid.
