Mazmur 48

1Mazmur anak-anak Korah. Agunglah TUHAN! Dia amat dipuji di kota Allah kita, di gunung-Nya yang kudus. 2Menjulang indah, kesukaan seluruh bumi, adalah Gunung Sion yang jauh di utara, kota Sang Raja Besar. 3Allah, di dalam istana-istananya, telah membuat diri-Nya dikenal sebagai benteng perlindungan. 4Sebab, lihatlah, raja-raja berkumpul, mereka melewatinya bersama-sama. 5Segera setelah mereka melihatnya, mereka tercengang; mereka terkejut lalu cepat-cepat lari. 6Ketakutan menyergap mereka di sana; kesakitan, seperti perempuan saat bersalin. 7Dengan angin timur, Engkau menghancurkan kapal-kapal Tarsis. 8Seperti yang telah kami dengar, kami telah melihat di kota TUHAN, Raja bala tentara, di kota Allah kita. Allah telah menegakkannya untuk selama-lamanya. Sela 9Kami membandingkannya dengan kasih setia-Mu, ya Allah, di tengah-tengah bait-Mu. 10Seperti nama-Mu, ya Allah, demikian juga puji-pujian bagi-Mu sampai ke ujung bumi. Tangan kanan-Mu dipenuhi dengan kebenaran. 11Biarlah Gunung Sion bergembira! Biarlah anak-anak perempuan Yehuda bersorak oleh karena pengadilan-Mu. 12Berjalanlah di seputar Sion dan pergilah mengelilinginya, hitunglah menaranya. 13Taruhlah hatimu pada kubu-kubunya, berjalanlah di antara istana-istananya supaya kamu dapat menceritakan kepada generasi selanjutnya. 14Sebab Allah, Allah kita, kekal dan untuk selama-lamanya. Dia memimpin kita sampai akhir hayat!

1Great is Yahweh, and greatly to be praised, in the city of our God, in his holy mountain. 2Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole earth, is Mount Zion, on the north sides, the city of the great King. 3God has shown himself in her citadels as a refuge. 4For, behold, the kings assembled themselves, they passed by together. 5They saw it, then they were amazed. Your right hand is full of righteousness. 11Let Mount Zion be glad! Let the daughters of Judah rejoice, Because of your judgments. 12Walk about Zion, and go around her. Number its towers. 13Mark well her bulwarks. Consider her palaces, that you may tell it to the next generation. 14For this God is our God forever and ever. He will be our guide even to death.

1Een lied, een psalm, voor de kinderen van Korach. 2De HEERE is groot en zeer te prijzen, in de stad onzes Gods, op den berg Zijner heiligheid. 3Schoon van gelegenheid, een vreugde der ganse aarde is de berg Sion, aan de zijden van het noorden; de stad des groten Konings. 4God is in haar paleizen; Hij is er bekend voor een Hoog Vertrek. 5Want ziet, de koningen waren vergaderd; zij waren te zamen doorgetogen. 6Gelijk zij het zagen, alzo waren zij verwonderd; zij werden verschrikt, zij haastten weg. 7Beving greep hen aldaar aan, smart als van een barende vrouw. 8Met een oostenwind verbreekt Gij de schepen van Tharsis. 9Gelijk wij gehoord hadden, alzo hebben wij gezien in de stad des HEEREN der heirscharen, in de stad onzes Gods; God zal haar bevestigen tot in eeuwigheid. Sela. 10O God! wij gedenken Uwer weldadigheid, in het midden Uws tempels. 11Gelijk Uw Naam is, o God! alzo is Uw roem tot aan de einden der aarde; Uw rechterhand is vol van gerechtigheid. 12Laat de berg Sion blijde zijn; laat de dochteren van Juda zich verheugen, om Uwer oordelen wil. 13Gaat rondom Sion, en omringt haar; telt haar torens; 14Zet uw hart op haar vesting; beschouwt onderscheidenlijk haar paleizen, opdat gij het aan het navolgende geslacht vertelt. Want deze God is onze God eeuwiglijk en altoos; Hij zal ons geleiden tot den dood toe.
