1(21:6) Ðoạn có lời Ðức Giê-hô-va phán cùng ta như vầy: 2(21:7) Hỡi con người, hãy xây mặt về phía Giê-ru-sa-lem; đối với các nơi thánh mà buông lời; đối với đất Y-sơ-ra-ên mà nói tiên tri. 3(21:8) Khá nói cùng đất Y-sơ-ra-ên rằng: Ðức Giê-hô-va phán như vầy: Nầy, ta nghịch cùng ngươi. Ta sẽ rút gươm ta ra khỏi vỏ nó, đặng dứt kẻ công bình và kẻ dữ khỏi giữa ngươi. 4(21:9) Vì ta sẽ dứt kẻ công bình và kẻ dữ khỏi giữa ngươi, thì gươm ta sẽ ra khỏi vỏ nó nghịch cùng mọi xác thịt từ phương nam đến phương bắc, 5(21:10) và mọi xác thịt sẽ biết ta, Ðức Giê-hô-va, đã rút gươm ra khỏi vỏ nó, nó sẽ không trở vào nữa! 6(21:11) Hỡi con người, còn như ngươi, hãy than thở, như gãy lưng; phải, hãy than thở trước mắt chúng nó cách cay đắng. 7(21:12) Nếu chúng nó nói cùng ngươi rằng: Làm sao ngươi than thở? thì ngươi trả lời rằng: Ấy là bởi cớ tin tức, vì nó đến, làm cho mọi lòng đều tan chảy, mọi tay đều yếu đuối, mọi trí đều yếu như nước. Nầy, nó hầu đến, lời ấy sẽ làm thành, Chúa Giê-hô-va phán vậy! 8(21:13) Lại có lời Ðức Giê-hô-va phán cùng ta rằng: 9(21:14) Hỡi con người, hãy nói tiên tri, và rằng: Ðức Giê-hô-va phán như vầy: Hãy nói rằng: cái gươm, cái gươm nhọn và sáng! 10(21:15) Nó nhọn cho sự chém giết; nó sáng đặng văng ra như chớp. Chúng ta có nên vui mừng chăng? Cái gậy của con trai ta, nó khinh dể mọi cây khác. 11(21:16) Người ta đã cho cái gươm nầy được sáng, đặng cầm nơi tay; ấy là cái gươm nhọn và sáng để cho vào tay kẻ giết. 12(21:17) Hỡi con người, khá kêu la và than van; vì gươm ở trên dân ta, ở trên mọi quan trưởng Y-sơ-ra-ên, là những kẻ đã bị nộp cho gươm với dân ta. Vậy nên, hãy vỗ vế! 13(21:18) Phải, có sự thử thách; cây gậy khinh dể sẽ thành ra hư không, thì làm thế nào? Chúa Giê-hô-va phán vậy. 14(21:19) Hỡi con người, vậy ngươi khá nói tiên tri đi; khá đập tay, hãy đánh gươm gấp lên đôi ba lần; ấy là gươm của người lớn bị thương đến chết, vào trong buồng kín. 15(21:20) Ấy là để làm cho lòng chúng nó tan chảy, cho thêm nhiều sự vấp ngã, mà ta đã đặt gươm ngăm đe nghịch cùng mọi cửa chúng nó. Ôi! gươm đã như chớp nhoáng; đã bén nhọn để giết! 16(21:21) Ngươi hãy nhóm lại về bên hữu, và dàn trận về bên tả, tùy nơi mặt ngươi hướng về. 17(21:22) Ta cũng đập hai tay, và khiến cơn giận ta yên lặng. Ấy chính ta, Ðức Giê-hô-va, phán vậy. 18(21:23) Lại có lời Ðức Giê-hô-va phán cùng ta như vầy: 19(21:24) Hỡi con người, ngươi cũng hãy chỉ định cho mình hai con đường đặng dùng làm lối đi qua cho cái gươm của vua nước Ba-by-lôn. Hai con đường ấy khá đi ra cả hai từ một đất; lại vạch một dấu, vạch ở đấy đường đi đến thành kia. 20(21:25) Ngươi khá chỉ định đường lối cho gươm đi qua, một đường thì hướng về Ráp-ba, thành của con cái Am-môn, và một đường hướng về Giu-đa tại Giê-ru-sa-lem, là thành bền vững. 21(21:26) Vì vua Ba-by-lôn đứng lại nơi cháng ba, là nơi vào hai con đường ấy, đặng bói khoa. Vua ấy lắc những cái tên; hỏi các thần tượng, và xem xét gan. 22(21:27) Trong tay hữu người có điềm chỉ về thành Giê-ru-sa-lem, đặng dùng máy để phá thành, đặng mở miệng giết lát, đặng cất tiếng kêu la, đặng dùng những máy phá thành nghịch cùng cửa thành, đặng đắp lũy và lập đồn tại đó. 23(21:28) Những kẻ đã thề lời thề, đều thấy trong những lời đó chỉ là một điềm dối, nhưng vua thì sẽ nhắc lại cho chúng nó nhớ sự gian ác mình, mà bắt đi làm phu tù. 24(21:29) Vậy nên, Chúa Giê-hô-va phán như vầy: Vì các ngươi đã nhắc cho nhớ lại sự gian ác mình, làm cho sự phạm tội bày ra, tỏ ra tội lỗi mình trong mọi việc làm; vì các ngươi nhắc lại cho nhớ, thì các ngươi sẽ bị tay bắt. 25(21:30) Về phần ngươi, vua chúa Y-sơ-ra-ên, người gian ác bị thương đến chết kia, ngày của ngươi đã đến, trong kỳ gian ác về cuối cùng. 26(21:31) Chúa Giê-hô-va phán như vầy: Hãy cất mũ nầy, lột mão triều thiên nầy; sự nầy chẳng giống như trước nữa! Cái gì thấp hãy lại cất lên, cái gì cao hãy hạ xuống. 27(21:32) Ta sẽ úp đổ, úp đổ, úp đổ nó; sự nầy cũng sẽ không còn nữa, cho đến chừng nào Ðấng đáng được sẽ đến, thì ta sẽ giao cho. 28(21:33) Hỡi con người, hãy nói tiên tri mà ra: Về con cái Am-môn và sự khinh lờn của chúng nó, thì Chúa Giê-hô-va phán như vầy: Hãy nói: Thanh gươm, thanh gươm đã tuốt ra cho sự giết lát; đã mài sáng đặng nuốt đi, đặng nên như chớp! 29(21:34) Ðang khi chúng nó vì ngươi thấy sự hiện thấy giả dối, bói khoa sự dối cho ngươi, hầu cho đặt ngươi trên cổ kẻ gian ác bị thương hầu chết, ngày chúng nó đã đến trong kỳ gian ác về cuối cùng. 30(21:35) Hãy nạp gươm ngươi vào vỏ! Ấy là ở trong nơi mà ngươi đã được dựng nên, trong đất ngươi sanh ra, mà ta sẽ xét đoán ngươi. 31(21:36) Ta sẽ đổ cơn giận ta trên ngươi; lấy lửa của sự thạnh nộ ta mà thổi trên ngươi, và ta sẽ phó ngươi trong tay người tàn bạo, giỏi sự hủy diệt. 32(21:37) Ngươi sẽ làm củi cho lửa; máu ngươi sẽ ở giữa đất; và người ta sẽ không còn nhớ ngươi nữa; vì ta, Ðức Giê-hô-va, đã phán.
1Yahweh’s word came to me, saying, 2Son of man, set your face toward Jerusalem, and preach toward the sanctuaries, and prophesy against the land of Israel; 3and tell the land of Israel, Thus says Yahweh: Behold, I am against you, and will draw my sword out of its sheath, and will cut off from you the righteous and the wicked. 4Seeing then that I will cut off from you the righteous and the wicked, therefore shall my sword go out of its sheath against all flesh from the south to the north: 5and all flesh shall know that I, Yahweh, have drawn my sword out of its sheath; it shall not return any more. 6Sigh therefore, you son of man; with the breaking of your thighs and with bitterness you will sigh before their eyes. 7It shall be, when they tell you, Why do you sigh? that you shall say, Because of the news, for it comes; and every heart shall melt, and all hands shall be feeble, and every spirit shall faint, and all knees shall be weak as water: behold, it comes, and it shall be done, says the Lord Yahweh. 8Yahweh’s word came to me, saying, 9Son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus says Yahweh: Say, A sword, a sword, it is sharpened, and also furbished; 10it is sharpened that it may make a slaughter; it is furbished that it may be as lightning: shall we then make mirth? the rod of my son, it condemns every tree. 11It is given to be furbished, that it may be handled: the sword, it is sharpened, yes, it is furbished, to give it into the hand of the killer. 12Cry and wail, son of man; for it is on my people, it is on all the princes of Israel: they are delivered over to the sword with my people; strike therefore on your thigh. 13For there is a trial; and what if even the rod that condemns shall be no more? says the Lord Yahweh. 14You therefore, son of man, prophesy, and strike your hands together; and let the sword be doubled the third time, the sword of the deadly wounded: it is the sword of the great one who is deadly wounded, which enters into their rooms. 15I have set the threatening sword against all their gates, that their heart may melt, and their stumblings be multiplied: ah! it is made as lightning, it is pointed for slaughter. 16Gather yourselves together, go to the right, set yourselves in array, go to the left, wherever your face is set. 17I will also strike my hands together, and I will cause my wrath to rest: I, Yahweh, have spoken it. 18Yahweh’s word came to me again, saying, 19Also, you son of man, appoint two ways, that the sword of the king of Babylon may come; they both shall come out of one land: and mark out a place, mark it out at the head of the way to the city. 20You shall appoint a way for the sword to come to Rabbah of the children of Ammon, and to Judah in Jerusalem the fortified. 21For the king of Babylon stood at the parting of the way, at the head of the two ways, to use divination: he shook the arrows back and forth, he consulted the teraphim, he looked in the liver. 22In his right hand was the lot for Jerusalem, to set battering rams, to open the mouth in the slaughter, to lift up the voice with shouting, to set battering rams against the gates, to cast up mounds, to build forts. 23It shall be to them as a false divination in their sight, who have sworn oaths to them; but he brings iniquity to memory, that they may be taken. 24Therefore thus says the Lord Yahweh: Because you have made your iniquity to be remembered, in that your transgressions are uncovered, so that in all your doings your sins appear; because you have come to memory, you shall be taken with the hand. 25You, deadly wounded wicked one, the prince of Israel, whose day has come, in the time of the iniquity of the end, 26thus says the Lord Yahweh: Remove the turban, and take off the crown; this will not be as it was; exalt that which is low, and abase that which is high. 27I will overturn, overturn, overturn it: this also shall be no more, until he come whose right it is; and I will give it. 28You, son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus says the Lord Yahweh concerning the children of Ammon, and concerning their reproach; and say, A sword, a sword is drawn, for the slaughter it is furbished, to cause it to devour, that it may be as lightning; 29while they see for you false visions, while they divine lies to you, to lay you on the necks of the wicked who are deadly wounded, whose day has come in the time of the iniquity of the end. 30Cause it to return into its sheath. In the place where you were created, in the land of your birth, will I judge you. 31I will pour out my indignation on you; I will blow on you with the fire of my wrath; and I will deliver you into the hand of brutish men, skillful to destroy. 32You shall be for fuel to the fire; your blood shall be in the midst of the land; you shall be remembered no more: for I, Yahweh, have spoken it.
1En des HEEREN woord geschiedde tot mij, zeggende: 2Mensenkind! zet uw aangezicht tegen Jeruzalem, en drup tegen de heiligdommen, en profeteer tegen het land van Israel; 3En zeg tot het land van Israel: Alzo zegt de HEERE: Ziet, Ik wil aan u, en Ik zal Mijn zwaard uit zijn schede trekken; en Ik zal van u uitroeien den rechtvaardige en den goddeloze. 4Omdat Ik dan van u uitroeien zal den rechtvaardige en den goddeloze, daarom zal Mijn zwaard uit zijn schede uitgaan tegen alle vlees, van het zuiden tot het noorden. 5En alle vlees zal weten, dat Ik, de HEERE, Mijn zwaard uit zijn schede getrokken heb; het zal niet meer wederkeren. 6Maar gij, mensenkind, zucht; zucht voor hun ogen met verbreking der lenden en met bitterheid. 7En het zal geschieden, als zij tot u zeggen zullen: Waarom zucht gij, dat gij zeggen zult: Om het gerucht, want het komt! en alle hart zal versmelten, en alle handen zullen verslappen, en alle geest zal inkrimpen, en alle knieen als water henenvlieten; ziet, het komt, en het zal geschieden, spreekt de Heere HEERE. 8Wederom geschiedde des HEEREN woord tot mij, zeggende: 9Mensenkind, profeteer en zeg: Alzo zegt de HEERE: Zeg: Het zwaard, het zwaard is gescherpt, en ook geveegd. 10Het is gescherpt, opdat het een slachting slachte; het is geveegd, opdat het een glinster hebbe; of wij dan zullen vrolijk zijn? het is de roede Mijns Zoons, die alle hout versmaadt. 11En Hij heeft hetzelve te vegen gegeven, opdat men het met de hand handelen zou; dat zwaard is gescherpt, en dat is geveegd, om hetzelve in de hand des doodslagers te geven. 12Schreeuw en huil, o mensenkind, want hetzelve zal zijn tegen Mijn volk, het zal zijn tegen al de vorsten van Israel; verschrikkingen zullen vanwege het zwaard bij Mijn volk zijn; daarom klop op de heup. 13Als er beproeving was, wat was het toen? Zou er dan ook geen versmadende roede zijn, spreekt de Heere HEERE. 14Daarom gij, mensenkind, profeteer, en sla hand tegen hand; want het zwaard zal verdubbeld worden ten derden male, het is het zwaard dergenen, die verslagen zullen worden; het is het zwaard der groten, die verslagen zullen worden, dat tot hen in de binnenste kameren indringen zal. 15Ik heb de punt des zwaards gezet tegen al hun poorten, opdat het hart versmelte, en de aanstoten vermenigvuldigen; ach, het is toegemaakt, opdat het glinstere, het is ingewonden om te slachten. 16Houd u bijeen, o zwaard! keer u rechtsom, schik u, keer u linksom, waarhenen uw aangezicht gesteld is. 17En Ik Zelf zal ook Mijn hand tegen Mijn hand slaan, en Mijn grimmigheid doen rusten; Ik, de HEERE, heb het gesproken. 18Wederom geschiedde des HEEREN woord tot mij, zeggende: 19Gij nu, mensenkind, stel u twee wegen voor, waardoor het zwaard des konings van Babel komt; uit een land zullen zij beide voortkomen; en kies een zijde, kies ze aan het hoofd van den weg der stad. 20Gij zult een weg voorstellen, waardoor het zwaard inkomen zal tegen Rabba der kinderen Ammons, of tegen Juda, tot de vaste stad Jeruzalem. 21Want de koning van Babel zal aan de wegscheiding staan, aan het hoofd van de twee wegen, om waarzegging te gebruiken; hij zal zijn pijlen slijpen; hij zal de terafim vragen, hij zal de lever bezien. 22De waarzegging zal aan zijn rechterhand zijn op Jeruzalem, om hoofdmannen te stellen, om den mond te openen in het doodslaan, om de stem op te heffen met gejuich, om stormrammen te stellen tegen de poorten, om sterkten op te werpen, om bolwerken te bouwen. 23Dit zal hun in hun ogen als een ijdel waarzeggen zijn, omdat zij met eden beedigd zijn onder hen; maar hij zal der ongerechtigheid gedenken, opdat zij gegrepen worden. 24Daarom zegt de Heere HEERE alzo: Omdat gijlieden uwer ongerechtigheid doet gedenken, doordien uw overtredingen ontdekt worden, zodat uw zonden gezien worden in al uw handelingen; omdat uwer gedacht wordt, zult gij met de hand gegrepen worden. 25En gij, o onheilig, goddeloos vorst van Israel, wiens dag komen zal, ten tijde der uiterste ongerechtigheid; 26Alzo zegt de Heere HEERE: Doe dien hoed weg, en hef dien kroon af, deze zal dezelfde niet wezen; Ik zal verhogen dien, die nederig is, en vernederen dien, die hoog is. 27Ik zal die kroon omgekeerd, omgekeerd, omgekeerd stellen; ja, zij zal niet zijn, totdat hij kome, die daartoe recht heeft, en dien Ik dat geven zal. 28En gij, mensenkind, profeteer en zeg: Alzo zegt de Heere HEERE, van de kinderen Ammons, en van hun smading; zo zeg: Het zwaard, het zwaard is uitgetrokken, het is ter slachting geveegd om te verdoen, om te glinsteren; 29Terwijl zij u ijdelheid zien, terwijl zij u leugen voorzeggen, om u op de halzen te stellen dergenen, die van de goddelozen verslagen zijn, welker dag gekomen was ten tijde der uiterste ongerechtigheid. 30Keer uw zwaard weder in zijn schede!
