Ê-xê-chi-ên 15

1Có lời Ðức Giê-hô-va phán cùng ta rằng: 2Hỡi con người, cây nho ở trong các cây khác, và nhánh nho ở trong cây rừng, thì có gì hơn không? 3Người ta có thể lấy gỗ bởi nó để làm việc gì? Có dùng làm đinh để treo vật gì được chăng? 4Nầy, nó bị ném vào lửa để làm củi, khi lửa đã thiêu hai đầu, và khúc giữa cũng cháy, thì còn dùng được việc gì? 5Nầy, khi nó còn nguyên, chẳng dùng làm gì được; huống nữa là, khi lửa đã thiêu nuốt và nó đã bị đốt cháy, thì còn dùng làm trò chi được ư! 6Vậy nên, Chúa Giê-hô-va phán Việt Nam: Như cây nho trong các cây rừng mà ta lấy làm củi, ném vào trong lửa, thì ta cũng sẽ phó dân cư Giê-ru-sa-lem như vầy. 7Ta sẽ để mặt ta nghịch cùng chúng nó. Chúng nó sẽ ra khỏi lửa, nhưng lửa sẽ thiêu đốt chúng nó đi; và khi ta để mặt nghịch cùng chúng nó, các ngươi sẽ biết ta là Ðức Giê-hô-va. 8Ta sẽ làm đất nầy ra hoang vu, vì chúng nó đã phạm tội, Chúa Giê-hô-va phán vậy.

1Yahweh’s word came to me, saying, 2Son of man, what is the vine tree more than any tree, the vine-branch which is among the trees of the forest? 3Will wood be taken of it to make anything? Will men take a pin of it to hang any vessel on it? 4Behold, it is cast into the fire for fuel; the fire has devoured both its ends, and its midst is burned: is it profitable for any work? 5Behold, when it was whole, it was meet for no work: how much less, when the fire has devoured it, and it is burned, shall it yet be meet for any work! 6Therefore thus says the Lord Yahweh: As the vine tree among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so will I give the inhabitants of Jerusalem. 7I will set my face against them; they shall go out from the fire, but the fire shall devour them; and you shall know that I am Yahweh, when I set my face against them. 8I will make the land desolate, because they have committed a trespass, says the Lord Yahweh.

1En des HEEREN woord geschiedde tot mij, zeggende: 2Mensenkind, wat is het hout des wijnstoks meer dan alle hout, of de wijnrank meer dan dat onder het hout eens wouds is? 3Wordt daarvan hout genomen, om een stuk werk te maken? Neemt men daarvan een pin, om enig vat daaraan te hangen? 4Ziet, het wordt aan het vuur overgegeven, opdat het verteerd worde; het vuur verteert beide zijn einden, en zijn middelste wordt verbrand; zou het deugen tot een stuk werks? 5Ziet, toen het geheel was, werd het tot geen stuk werks gemaakt; hoeveel te min als het vuur dat verteerd heeft, zodat het verbrand is, zal het dan nog tot een stuk werks gemaakt worden? 6Daarom, alzo zegt de Heere HEERE: Gelijk als het hout des wijnstoks is onder het hout des wouds, hetwelk Ik aan het vuur overgeef, opdat het verteerd worde, alzo zal Ik de inwoners van Jeruzalem overgeven. 7Want Ik zal Mijn aangezicht tegen hen zetten; als zij van het ene vuur uitgaan, zal het andere vuur hen verteren; en gij zult weten, dat Ik de HEERE ben, als Ik Mijn aangezicht tegen hen gesteld zal hebben. 8En Ik zal het land woest maken, omdat zij zwaarlijk overtreden hebben, spreekt de Heere HEERE.
