1Năm thứ bảy, ngày mồng mười tháng năm, có một vài trưởng lão Y-sơ-ra-ên đến đặng cầu hỏi Ðức Giê-hô-va, họ ngồi trước mặt ta. 2Bấy giờ, có lời Ðức Giê-hô-va phán cùng ta rằng: 3Hỡi con người, hãy nói cùng các trưởng lão Y-sơ-ra-ên, bảo chúng nó rằng: Chúa Giê-hô-va phán như vầy: Có phải các ngươi đến đặng cầu hỏi ta chăng? Chúa Giê-hô-va phán: Thật như ta hằng sống, ta không để cho các ngươi cầu hỏi. 4Hỡi con người, ngươi muốn xét đoán chúng nó, ngươi muốn xét đoán chúng nó chăng? Hãy làm cho chúng nó biết những sự gớm ghiếc của tổ phụ mình. 5Vậy ngươi khá nói cùng chúng nó rằng: Chúa Giê-hô-va phán như vầy: Ðương ngày mà ta chọn Y-sơ-ra-ên, mà ta thề cùng dòng dõi nhà Gia-cốp, mà ta tỏ mình cho chúng nó biết ta trong đất Ê-díp-tô, khi ta thề cùng chúng nó, và rằng: Ta là Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời các ngươi; 6ngày đó ta thề hứa cùng chúng nó rằng ta sẽ đem chúng nó ra khỏi đất Ê-díp-tô đặng vào đất mà ta đã tìm sẵn cho chúng nó, tức là đất đượm sữa và mật ong, vinh hiển nhứt trong các đất. 7Ta nói cùng chúng nó rằng: Các ngươi ai nấy khá quăng xa mình những sự gớm ghiếc của mắt các ngươi, và chớ làm ô uế minh với các thần tượng của Ê-díp-tô! Ta là Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời các ngươi. 8Nhưng mà chúng nó dấy loạn nghịch cùng ta, và không muốn nghe ta; ai nấy không ném bỏ những sự gớm ghiếc của mắt mình, và không lìa bỏ các thần tượng của Ê-díp-tô. Bấy giờ ta nói rằng ta sẽ đổ cơn giận ta trên chúng nó, làm trọn sự giận ta nghịch cùng chúng nó giữa đất Ê-díp-tô. 9Nhưng ta đã vì cớ danh ta mà làm, hầu cho danh ấy khỏi bị nói phạm trước mắt các dân ngoại mà chúng nó ở giữa, trước mắt các dân ấy ta đã tỏ mình cho chúng nó biết, khi đem chúng nó ra khỏi đất Ê-díp-tô. 10Vậy ta đã làm cho chúng nó ra khỏi đất Ê-díp-tô, và đem chúng nó đến nơi đồng vắng. 11ta ban cho chúng nó lề luật ta, và làm cho chúng nó biết mạng lịnh ta, là điều nếu người ta làm theo thì được sống bởi nó. 12Ta cũng cho chúng nó những ngày sa bát ta làm một dấu giữa ta và chúng nó, đặng chúng nó biết rằng ta là Ðức Giê-hô-va biệt chúng nó ra thánh. 13Nhưng nhà Y-sơ-ra-ên nổi loạn nghịch cùng ta trong đồng vắng. Chúng nó không noi theo lệ luật ta, khinh bỏ mạng lịnh ta, là điều nếu người ta làm theo thì được sống bởi nó, và phạm các ngày sa-bát ta nặng lắm. Bấy giờ ta nói ta sẽ đổ cơn giận ta trên chúng nó trong đồng vắng, đặng diệt hết đi. 14Nhưng ta đã vì cớ danh ta mà làm hầu cho danh ấy không bị nói phạm trước mắt các dân ngoại, trước mắt các dân ấy ta đã đem chúng nó ra khỏi. 15Vả, ta cũng đã thề cùng chúng nó trong đồng vắng rằng ta sẽ không đem chúng nó vào đất mà ta đã định cho chúng nó, là đất đượm sữa và mật ong, vinh hiển nhứt trong mọi đất; 16vì chúng nó đã bỏ mạng lịnh ta, không noi theo lệ luật ta, và phạm những ngày sa-bát ta; bởi lòng chúng nó đã hướng về thần tượng mình. 17Dầu vậy, mắt ta đã thương tiếc chúng nó, ta không hủy diệt chúng nó, ta không làm tận tuyệt chúng nó trong đồng vắng. 18Ta phán cùng con cái chúng nó trong đồng vắng rằng: Ðừng noi theo luật lệ của ông cha các ngươi, đừng giữ mạng lịnh họ, và tự làm ô uế với những thần tượng của họ. 19Ta là Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời các ngươi, hãy noi theo luật lệ ta, vâng giữ mạng lịnh ta và làm theo. 20Hãy biệt những ngày sa-bát ta ra thánh, nó sẽ làm dấu giữa ta và các ngươi, hầu cho chúng nó biết rằng ta là Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời các ngươi. 21Nhưng con cái dấy loạn nghịch cùng ta; không noi theo luật lệ ta, không vâng giữ và không làm theo mạng lịnh ta, là điều người ta nếu làm theo thì được sống bởi nó; và chúng nó phạm những ngày sa-bát ta nữa. Bấy giờ, ta nói rằng ta sẽ đổ cơn giận ta trên chúng nó, và làm trọn sự giận của ta nghịch cùng chúng nó trong đồng vắng. 22Song le ta đã kéo tay ta lại, và đã vì danh ta mà làm, hầu cho danh ấy không bị nói phạm trước mắt các dân ngoại, trước mắt các dân ấy ta đã đem chúng nó ra khỏi. 23Vả, ta đã thề cùng chúng nó nơi đồng vắng rằng ta sẽ làm cho chúng nó tan lạc giữa các người và rải ra trong nhiều nước; 24vì chúng nó không vâng làm mạng lịnh ta, nhưng đã bỏ lệ luật ta, đã phạm những ngày sa-bát ta, và mắt chúng nó đã hướng về các thần tượng của tổ phụ mình. 25Ta cũng đã ban cho chúng nó những luật lệ chẳng lành, và mạng lịnh mà bởi đó chúng nó không được sống. 26Ta làm ô uế chúng nó bởi của cúng chúng nó, khi chúng nó khiến mọi con đầu lòng qua trên lửa, hầu ta làm cho chúng nó ra hoang vu, đến nỗi chúng nó biết rằng ta là Ðức Giê-hô-va. 27Vậy nên, hỡi con người, hãy nói cùng nhà Y-sơ-ra-ên, bảo nó rằng: Chúa Giê-hô-va phán như vầy: Tổ phụ các ngươi đã nói phạm ta, bởi chúng nó đã phạm pháp nghịch cùng ta. 28Khi ta đã đem chúng nó vào đất mà ta đã thề ban cho chúng nó, bấy giờ chúng nó đã tìm thấy các gò cao và các cây rậm, mà dâng của lễ mình tại đó; chúng nó đã bày ra tại đó những của cúng chọc giận ta, cũng đã đặt tại đó những hương có mùi thơm, và đã làm lễ quán. 29Bấy giờ ta nói cùng chúng nó rằng: Nơi cao mà các ngươi đi đó là gì? Cho nên nơi cao ấy còn gọi là Ba-ma cho đến ngày nay. 30Vậy nên, hãy nói cùng nhà Y-sơ-ra-ên rằng: Chúa Giê-hô-va phán như vầy: Các ngươi tự làm ô uế mình theo cách tổ phụ các ngươi, và các ngươi hành dâm theo những sự gớm ghiếc của họ sao? 31Khi các ngươi dâng lễ vật, khi các ngươi còn tự làm ô uế với những thần tượng mình cho đến ngày nay sao? Hỡi nhà Y-sơ-ra-ên, ta há để cho các ngươi cầu hỏi sao? Chúa Giê-hô-va phán: Thật như ta hằng sống, ta không để cho các ngươi cầu hỏi! 32Chẳng có sự gì sẽ xảy ra như điều các ngươi tưởng, khi các ngươi nói rằng: Chúng ta muốn nên như các dân tộc và các họ hàng ở các nước, thờ gỗ và đá. 33Chúa Giê-hô-va phán: Thật như ta hằng sống, ấy là dùng tay mạnh mẽ và cánh tay giang ra, lấy thạnh nộ đổ ra mà ta sẽ làm vua trên các ngươi! 34Ta sẽ đem các ngươi ra khỏi giữa các dân; ta sẽ dùng tay mạnh mẽ và cánh tay giang ra và sự thạnh nộ đổ ra để nhóm các ngươi lại từ các nước mà các ngươi đã bị tan tác trong đó. 35Ta sẽ đem các ngươi vào nơi đồng vắng của các dân, tại đó ta sẽ đối mặt xét đoán các ngươi. 36Như ta đã xét đoán tổ phụ các ngươi trong đồng vắng đến Ê-díp-tô thể nào, thì ta cũng xét đoán các ngươi thể ấy, Chúa Giê-hô-va phán vậy. 37Ta sẽ làm cho các ngươi qua dưới gậy, và sẽ đem các ngươi vào trong dây giao ước. 38Ta sẽ tẩy sạch khỏi các ngươi những kẻ bạn nghịch, và những kẻ phạm pháp nghịch cùng ta; ta sẽ đem chúng nó ra khỏi đất mình trú ngụ, nhưng chúng nó sẽ không vào đất Y-sơ-ra-ên. Như vầy các ngươi sẽ biết ta là Ðức Giê-hô-va. 39Hỡi nhà Y-sơ-ra-ên, về các ngươi, thì Chúa Giê-hô-va phán như vầy: Hãy đi, mỗi người trong các ngươi khá thờ thần tượng mình! Sau sự đó, các ngươi chắc sẽ nghe ta và sẽ không nói phạm danh thánh của ta nữa bởi của cúng và bởi thần tượng các ngươi. 40Chúa Giê-hô-va phán rằng: Vì trên núi thánh ta, trên núi cao của Y-sơ-ra-ên, tại đó cả nhà Y-sơ-ra-ên, hết thảy chúng nó, sẽ hầu việc ta ở trong đất. Tại đó ta sẽ nhận lấy chúng nó; và tại đó ta sẽ đòi của lễ các ngươi, và những trái đầu mùa của của lễ các ngươi, cùng mọi vật thánh. 41Ta sẽ nhận lấy các ngươi như mùi thơm tho, khi ta đem các ngươi ra khỏi giữa các dân, và nhóm các ngươi từ những người mà các ngươi đã bị tan tác; và ta sẽ được tỏ ra thánh trong các ngươi ở trước mắt dân ngoại. 42Các ngươi sẽ biết ta là Ðức Giê-hô-va, khi ta sẽ đem các ngươi vào đất của Y-sơ-ra-ên, trong nước mà ta đã dùng lời thề hứa ban cho tổ phụ các ngươi. 43Tại đó các ngươi sẽ nhớ lại đường lối mình và mọi việc tự mình làm nên ô uế; các ngươi sẽ tự chán ngán trước mắt mình, vì cớ mọi sự dữ mình đã phạm. 44Các ngươi sẽ biết ta là Ðức Giê-hô-va, khi ta sẽ vì danh ta mà đãi các ngươi, chớ không theo đường lối xấu xa và việc làm hư nát của các ngươi, hỡi nhà Y-sơ-ra-ên, Chúa Giê-hô-va phán vậy. 45(21:1) Có lời Ðức Giê-hô-va phán cùng ta như vầy: 46(21:2) Hỡi con người, hãy xây mặt về phía nam, đối với phương nam mà nói: đối với rừng của đồng nội phương nam mà nói tiên tri. 47(21:3) Khá nói cùng rừng phương nam rằng: Hãy nghe lời của Ðức Giê-hô-va! Chúa Giê-hô-va phán như vầy: Nầy, ta sẽ nhen lửa trong ngươi, lửa sẽ thiêu nuốt hết cả cây xanh và cả cây khô nơi ngươi. Ngọn lửa hừng sẽ không tắt, mọi mặt sẽ bị cháy bởi nó từ phương nam chí phương bắc. 48(21:4) Mọi xác thịt sẽ thấy rằng ấy là ta, Ðức Giê-hô-va, đã nhen lửa; lửa sẽ không hề tắt. 49(21:5) Bấy giờ ta nói rằng: Ôi! Hỡi Chúa Giê-hô-va, họ nói về tôi rằng: Nó chẳng phải là kẻ nói thí dụ sao?
1In the seventh year, in the fifth month, the tenth day of the month, some of the elders of Israel came to inquire of Yahweh, and sat before me. 2Yahweh’s word came to me, saying, 3Son of man, speak to the elders of Israel, and tell them, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: Is it to inquire of me that you have come? As I live, says the Lord Yahweh, I will not be inquired of by you. 4Will you judge them, son of man, will you judge them? Cause them to know the abominations of their fathers; 5and tell them, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: In the day when I chose Israel, and swore to the seed of the house of Jacob, and made myself known to them in the land of Egypt, when I swore to them, saying, I am Yahweh your God; 6in that day I swore to them, to bring them out of the land of Egypt into a land that I had searched out for them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands. 7I said to them, Cast away every man the abominations of his eyes, and don’t defile yourselves with the idols of Egypt; I am Yahweh your God. 8But they rebelled against me, and would not listen to me; they each didn’t throw away the abominations of their eyes, neither did they forsake the idols of Egypt. Then I said I would pour out my wrath on them, to accomplish my anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt. 9But I worked for my name’s sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, among which they were, in whose sight I made myself known to them, in bringing them out of the land of Egypt. 10So I caused them to go out of the land of Egypt, and brought them into the wilderness. 11I gave them my statutes, and showed them my ordinances, which if a man does, he shall live in them. 12Moreover also I gave them my Sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am Yahweh who sanctifies them. 13But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness: they didn’t walk in my statutes, and they rejected my ordinances, which if a man keep, he shall live in them; and my Sabbaths they greatly profaned. Then I said I would pour out my wrath on them in the wilderness, to consume them. 14But I worked for my name’s sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, in whose sight I brought them out. 15Moreover also I swore to them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands; 16because they rejected my ordinances, and didn’t walk in my statutes, and profaned my Sabbaths: for their heart went after their idols. 17Nevertheless my eye spared them, and I didn’t destroy them, neither did I make a full end of them in the wilderness. 18I said to their children in the wilderness, Don’t walk in the statutes of your fathers, neither observe their ordinances, nor defile yourselves with their idols. 19I am Yahweh your God: walk in my statutes, and keep my ordinances, and do them; 20and make my Sabbaths holy; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that you may know that I am Yahweh your God. 21But the children rebelled against me; they didn’t walk in my statutes, neither kept my ordinances to do them, which if a man do, he shall live in them; they profaned my Sabbaths. Then I said I would pour out my wrath on them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness. 22Nevertheless I withdrew my hand, and worked for my name’s sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, in whose sight I brought them out. 23Moreover I swore to them in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the nations, and disperse them through the countries; 24because they had not executed my ordinances, but had rejected my statutes, and had profaned my Sabbaths, and their eyes were after their fathers’ idols. 25Moreover also I gave them statutes that were not good, and ordinances in which they should not live; 26and I polluted them in their own gifts, in that they caused all that opens the womb to pass through the fire, that I might make them desolate, to the end that they might know that I am Yahweh. 27Therefore, son of man, speak to the house of Israel, and tell them, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: In this moreover have your fathers blasphemed me, in that they have committed a trespass against me. 28For when I had brought them into the land, which I swore to give to them, then they saw every high hill, and every thick tree, and they offered there their sacrifices, and there they presented the provocation of their offering; there also they made their pleasant aroma, and they poured out there their drink offerings. 29Then I said to them, What does the high place where you go mean? So its name is called Bamah to this day. 30Therefore tell the house of Israel, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: Do you pollute yourselves in the way of your fathers? and do you play the prostitute after their abominations? 31and when you offer your gifts, when you make your sons to pass through the fire, do you pollute yourselves with all your idols to this day? and shall I be inquired of by you, house of Israel? As I live, says the Lord Yahweh, I will not be inquired of by you; 32and that which comes into your mind shall not be at all, in that you say, We will be as the nations, as the families of the countries, to serve wood and stone. 33As I live, says the Lord Yahweh, surely with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with wrath poured out, will I be king over you: 34and I will bring you out from the peoples, and will gather you out of the countries in which you are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with wrath poured out; 35and I will bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and there will I enter into judgment with you face to face. 36Like as I entered into judgment with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I enter into judgment with you, says the Lord Yahweh. 37I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant; 38and I will purge out from among you the rebels, and those who disobey against me; I will bring them out of the land where they live, but they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and you shall know that I am Yahweh. 39As for you, house of Israel, thus says the Lord Yahweh: Go, serve everyone his idols, and hereafter also, if you will not listen to me; but my holy name you shall no more profane with your gifts, and with your idols. 40For in my holy mountain, in the mountain of the height of Israel, says the Lord Yahweh, there shall all the house of Israel, all of them, serve me in the land: there will I accept them, and there will I require your offerings, and the first fruits of your offerings, with all your holy things. 41As a pleasant aroma will I accept you, when I bring you out from the peoples, and gather you out of the countries in which you have been scattered; and I will be sanctified in you in the sight of the nations. 42You shall know that I am Yahweh, when I shall bring you into the land of Israel, into the country which I swore to give to your fathers. 43There you shall remember your ways, and all your doings, in which you have polluted yourselves; and you shall loathe yourselves in your own sight for all your evils that you have committed. 44You shall know that I am Yahweh, when I have dealt with you for my name’s sake, not according to your evil ways, nor according to your corrupt doings, you house of Israel, says the Lord Yahweh. 45Yahweh’s word came to me, saying, 46Son of man, set your face toward the south, and preach toward the south, and prophesy against the forest of the field in the South; 47and tell the forest of the South, Hear Yahweh’s word: Thus says the Lord Yahweh, Behold, I will kindle a fire in you, and it shall devour every green tree in you, and every dry tree: the flaming flame shall not be quenched, and all faces from the south to the north shall be burnt thereby. 48All flesh shall see that I, Yahweh, have kindled it; it shall not be quenched. 49Then I said, Ah Lord Yahweh! they say of me, Isn’t he a speaker of parables?
1En het geschiedde in het zevende jaar, in de vijfde maand, op den tienden derzelver maand, dat er mannen uit de oudsten van Israel kwamen, om den HEERE te vragen; en zij zaten neder voor mijn aangezicht. 2Toen geschiedde des HEEREN woord tot mij, zeggende: 3Mensenkind, spreek tot de oudsten van Israel, en zeg tot hen: Alzo zegt de Heere HEERE: Komt gij, om Mij te vragen? Zo waarachtig als Ik leef, zo Ik van u gevraagd worde, spreekt de Heere HEERE. 4Zoudt gij hun recht geven, zoudt gij hun recht geven, o mensenkind? Maak hun de gruwelen hunner vaderen bekend; 5En zeg tot hen: Alzo zegt de Heere HEERE: Ten dage als Ik Israel verkoos, zo hief Ik Mijn hand op tot het zaad van het huis Jakobs, en maakte Mijzelven hun in Egypteland bekend; ja, Ik hief Mijn hand tot hen op, zeggende: Ik ben de HEERE, uw God. 6Ten zelven dage hief Ik Mijn hand tot hen op, dat Ik hen uit Egypteland uitvoeren zou, in een land, dat Ik voor hen uitgespeurd had, vloeiende van melk en honig, hetwelk het sieraad is van alle landen. 7En Ik zeide tot hen: Een ieder werpe de verfoeiselen zijner ogen weg; en verontreinigt ulieden niet met de drekgoden van Egypte; Ik, de HEERE, ben uw God. 8Maar zij waren wederspannig tegen Mij, en wilden naar Mij niet horen; niemand wierp de verfoeiselen zijner ogen weg, noch verliet de drekgoden van Egypte; daarom zeide Ik, dat Ik Mijn grimmigheid over hen uitgieten zou, om Mijn toorn tegen hen te volbrengen in het midden van Egypteland. 9Doch Ik deed het om Mijns Naams wil, opdat hij niet ontheiligd wierde voor de ogen der heidenen, in welker midden zij waren; aan welke Ik Mij, voor derzelver ogen, bekend gemaakt heb, om hen uit Egypteland uit te voeren. 10En Ik voerde hen uit Egypteland, en bracht hen in de woestijn. 11Daar gaf Ik hun Mijn inzettingen, en maakte hun Mijn rechten bekend, dewelke, zo ze een mens doet, zal hij door dezelve leven. 12Daartoe ook gaf Ik hun Mijn sabbatten, om een teken te zijn tussen Mij en tussen hen, opdat zij zouden weten, dat Ik de HEERE ben, Die hen heilige. 13Maar het huis Israels werd wederspannig tegen Mij in de woestijn; zij wandelden in Mijn inzettingen niet, en verwierpen Mijn rechten; dewelke, zo ze een mens doet, zal hij door dezelve leven; en zij ontheiligden Mijn sabbatten zeer, dat Ik zeide, Mijn grimmigheid te zullen uitgieten over hen in de woestijn, om hen te verdoen. 14Maar Ik deed het om Mijns Naams wil, opdat die niet ontheiligd werd voor de ogen van die heidenen, voor welker ogen Ik hen uitvoerde. 15Evenwel hief Ik ook Mijn hand op tot hen in de woestijn, dat Ik hen niet zou brengen in het land, dat Ik hun gegeven had, vloeiende van melk en honig, hetwelk het sieraad is van alle landen; 16Daarom dat zij Mijn rechten verwierpen, en in Mijn inzettingen niet wandelden, en Mijn sabbatten ontheiligden; want hun hart wandelde hun drekgoden na. 17Doch Mijn oog verschoonde hen, dat Ik hen niet verdierf, en geen voleinding met hen maakte in de woestijn. 18Maar Ik zeide tot hun kinderen in de woestijn: Wandelt niet in de inzettingen uwer vaderen, en onderhoudt hun rechten niet, en verontreinigt u niet met hun drekgoden. 19Ik ben de HEERE, uw God, wandelt in Mijn inzettingen, en onderhoudt Mijn rechten, en doet dezelve. 20En heiligt Mijn sabbatten, en zij zullen tot een teken zijn tussen Mij en tussen ulieden, opdat gij weet, dat Ik, de HEERE, uw God ben. 21Maar die kinderen waren ook wederspannig tegen Mij; zij wandelden niet in Mijn inzettingen, en Mijn rechten namen zij niet waar, om die te doen; dewelke, zo ze een mens doet, zal hij door dezelve leven; zij ontheiligden Mijn sabbatten, dat Ik zeide, Mijn grimmigheid te zullen uitgieten over hen, volbrengende Mijn toorn tegen hen in de woestijn. 22Doch Ik keerde Mijn hand af, en deed het om Mijns Naams wil, opdat hij voor de ogen der heidenen niet zou ontheiligd worden, voor welker ogen Ik hen uitgevoerd had. 23Ik hief ook Mijn hand tot hen op in de woestijn, dat Ik hen verspreiden zou onder de heidenen, en hen verstrooien in de landen; 24Omdat zij Mijn rechten niet gedaan hadden, maar Mijn inzettingen verworpen en Mijn sabbatten ontheiligd hadden, en hun ogen achter de drekgoden hunner vaderen waren. 25Daarom gaf Ik hun ook besluitingen, die niet goed waren, en rechten, waarbij zij niet leven zouden. 26En Ik verontreinigde hen in hun giften, omdat zij door het vuur deden doorgaan al wat de baarmoeder opent; opdat Ik ze verwoesten zou, ten einde dat zij zouden weten, dat Ik de HEERE ben. 27Daarom, mensenkind, spreek tot het huis Israels, en zeg tot hen: Alzo zegt de Heere HEERE: Hiermede nog hebben Mij uw vaderen gesmaad, dat zij door overtreding tegen Mij overtreden hebben. 28Als Ik hen in het land gebracht had, over hetwelk Ik Mijn hand opgeheven had, om hetzelve hun te geven, zo zagen zij naar allen hogen heuvel, en alle dicht geboomte, en offerden daar hun offeren, en gaven daar hun tergende offeranden, en daar zetten zij hun liefelijken reuk, en daar offerden zij hun drankofferen. 29En Ik zeide tot hen: Wat is die hoogte, waarhenen gij gaat? Nochtans is de naam daarvan genoemd hoogte, tot op dezen dag toe. 30Daarom zeg tot het huis Israels: Alzo zegt de Heere HEERE: Zijt gij verontreinigd geworden in den weg uwer vaderen, en hoereert gij achter hun verfoeiselen? 31Ja, met het offeren uwer gaven, met uw kinderen door het vuur te doen doorgaan, zijt gij verontreinigd aan al uw drekgoden tot op dezen dag toe; en zou Ik van u gevraagd worden, o huis Israels? Zo waarachtig als Ik leef, spreekt de Heere HEERE, zo Ik van u gevraagd worde! 32Daarom, dat in uw geest opgeklommen is, zal geenszins geschieden, dat gij zegt: Wij zullen als de heidenen en als de geslachten der landen zijn, dienende hout en steen. 33Zo waarachtig als Ik leef, spreekt de Heere HEERE: Zo Ik niet met een sterke hand, en uitgestrekten arm, en met een uitgegoten grimmigheid over u zal regeren! 34Want Ik zal u uit de volken voeren, en u vergaderen uit de landen, waarin gij verstrooid zijt, door een sterke hand, en door een uitgestrekten arm, en door een uitgegoten grimmigheid. 35Daartoe zal Ik u brengen in de woestijn der volken, en Ik zal met u aldaar rechten, aangezicht aan aangezicht; 36Gelijk als Ik gerecht heb met uw vaderen in de woestijn van Egypteland, alzo zal Ik met u rechten, spreekt de Heere HEERE. 37En Ik zal ulieden onder de roede doen doorgaan, en Ik zal u brengen onder den band des verbonds. 38Daartoe zal Ik, die rebel zijn, en die tegen Mij overtreden, uit ulieden uitzuiveren; Ik zal hen uit het land hunner vreemdelingschappen uitvoeren, en zij zullen in het landschap Israels niet weder komen, en gij zult weten, dat Ik de HEERE ben. 39En gijlieden, o huis Israels, alzo zegt de Heere HEERE: Gaat henen, dient een ieder zijn drekgoden, ook hierna, dewijl gijlieden naar Mij niet hoort; doch ontheiligt niet meer Mijn heiligen Naam, met uw giften en met uw drekgoden. 40Want op Mijn heiligen berg, op den hogen berg Israels, spreekt de Heere HEERE, daar zal Mij het ganse huis Israels in het land dienen, zij allen; daar zal Ik welgevallen aan hen nemen, en daar zal Ik uw hefofferen eisen, en de eerstelingen uwer heffingen met al uw geheiligde dingen. 41Ik zal een welgevallen aan ulieden nemen om den liefelijken reuk, wanneer Ik u van de volken uitvoeren, en u vergaderen zal uit de landen, in dewelke gij zult verstrooid zijn, en Ik zal in u geheiligd worden voor de ogen der heidenen. 42En gij zult weten, dat Ik de HEERE ben, als Ik u in het landschap Israels gebracht zal hebben, in het land, waarover Ik Mijn hand opgeheven heb, om hetzelve uw vaderen te geven. 43Daar zult gij dan gedenken aan uw wegen, en aan al uw handelingen waarmede gij u verontreinigd hebt, en gij zult van u zelven een walging hebben over al uw boosheden, die gij gedaan hebt. 44Zo zult gij weten, dat Ik de HEERE ben, als Ik met u gedaan zal hebben, om Mijns Naams wil, niet naar uw boze wegen, noch naar uw verdorven handelingen, o huis Israels, spreekt de Heere HEERE. 45Verder geschiedde des HEEREN woord tot mij, zeggende: 46Mensenkind, zet uw aangezicht naar den weg van het zuiden, en drup tegen het zuiden; en profeteer tegen het woud van het veld in het zuiden. 47En zeg tot het zuiderwoud: Hoor des HEEREN woord: Alzo zegt de Heere HEERE: Ziet, Ik zal een vuur in u aansteken, hetwelk in u allen groenen boom en allen dorren boom verteren zal; de vlammende vlam zal niet uitgeblust worden, maar daardoor zullen verbrand worden alle aangezichten van het zuiden tot het noorden toe. 48En alle vlees zal zien, dat Ik, de HEERE, dat aangestoken heb; het zal niet uitgeblust worden. 49En ik zeide: Ach, Heere HEERE, zij zeggen van mij: Is hij niet een verdichter van gelijkenissen?
