1Ta nhìn xem, nầy, trên vòng khung giang ra trên đầu các chê-ru-bin có vật gì như là đá bích ngọc, hình trạng như hình cái ngai. 2Ngài bèn phán cùng người mặc vải gai rằng: Hãy vào trong các khoảng bánh xe quay chóng ở dưới chê-ru-bin; khá từ giữa các chê-ru-bin lấy những than lửa đó bỏ đầy cả hay tay ngươi, rồi rải ra trên thành nầy. Người ấy vào nơi đó trước mặt ta. 3Khi người vào, thì các chê-ru-bin đứng bên hữu nhà; mây đầy hành lang trong. 4Sự vinh hiển của Ðức Giê-hô-va bèn dấy lên từ chê-ru-bin, đứng nơi ngạch cửa nhà; nhà đầy mây, và hành lang đầy sự chói sáng của vinh quang Ðức Giê-hô-va. 5Tiếng của những cánh chê-ru-bin vang ra đến hành lang ngoài, giống như tiếng của Ðức Chúa Trời Toàn năng, khi Ngài phán. 6Khi Ðức Giê-hô-va đã truyền lịnh cho người mặc vải gai rằng: Hãy lấy lửa từ giữa khoảng các bánh xe quay chóng, giữa các chê-ru-bin, thì người vào và đứng bên một bánh xe. 7Rồi một chê-ru-bin từ giữa các chê-ru-bin giơ tay ra đến lửa giữa các chê-ru-bin, và lấy lửa đem đặt vào tay người mặc vải gai; người nầy tiếp lấy rồi thì ra. 8Vả, nơi dưới cánh các chê-ru-bin có tỏ ra hình một cái tay người. 9Ta còn nhìn xem, nầy, có bốn bánh xe kề bên các chê-ru-bin, và một bánh xe khác kề một chê-ru-bin khác; hình trạng những bánh xe ấy giống như bích ngọc. 10Theo như hình trạng các bánh xe ấy, bốn cái có đồng một hình như một bánh xe ở trong bánh xe. 11Khi chúng nó đi tới, đều đi bốn phía mình, khi đi chẳng xây lại; tùy theo cái đầu hướng về bên nào, thì chúng nó đi theo; khi đi chẳng xây lại. 12Cả mình các chê-ru-bin, lưng, tay, cánh, bánh xe, khắp chung quanh đều đầy những mắt, tức các bánh xe mà bốn chê-ru-bin ấy có. 13Bấy giờ ta nghe gọi bánh xe ấy là bánh xe quay chóng. 14Mỗi chê-ru-bin có bốn mặt: thứ nhứt là mặt chê-ru-bin; thứ nhì, mặt người; thứ ba, mặt sư tử; thứ tư, mặt chim ưng. 15Ðoạn, các chê-ru-bin dấy lên: ấy là vật sống mà ta thấy trên bờ sông Kê-ba. 16Khi các chê-ru-bin đi, thì các bánh xe đi kề chúng nó; khi các chê-ru-bin sè cánh để dấy lên khỏi đất, thì các bánh xe không quay khỏi bên chúng nó. 17Khi các chê-ru-bin dừng lại, các bánh xe cùng dừng lại; khi dấy lên, cùng dấy lên; vì thần của vật sống ấy ở trong các bánh xe vậy. 18Sự vinh hiển Ðức Giê-hô-va ra khỏi ngạch cửa nhà, và đứng trên các chê-ru-bin. 19Các chê-ru-bin sè cánh dấy lên khỏi đất, mà ra trước mắt ta, và các bánh xe ở kề nó; chúng nó dừng nơi lối vào cửa đông nhà Ðức Giê-hô-va, và sự vinh hiển của Ðức Chúa Trời Y-sơ-ra-ên ở trên chúng nó. 20Ấy đó là vật sống mà ta thấy dưới Ðức Chúa Trời của Y-sơ-ra-ên, trên bờ sông Kê-ba, và ta biết nó là chê-ru-bin. 21Mỗi chê-ru-bin có bốn mặt và bốn cánh; dưới cánh có hình như tay người. 22Về phần hình trạng của các mặt nó, ấy là những mặt mà ta thấy trên bờ sông Kê-ba, cả hình trạng và chính mình chúng nó; và chúng nó đều đi thẳng tới trước.
1Then I looked, and see, in the expanse that was over the head of the cherubim there appeared above them as it were a sapphire stone, as the appearance of the likeness of a throne. 2He spoke to the man clothed in linen, and said, Go in between the whirling wheels, even under the cherub, and fill both your hands with coals of fire from between the cherubim, and scatter them over the city. He went in as I watched. 3Now the cherubim stood on the right side of the house, when the man went in; and the cloud filled the inner court. 4Yahweh’s glory mounted up from the cherub, and stood over the threshold of the house; and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of Yahweh’s glory. 5The sound of the wings of the cherubim was heard even to the outer court, as the voice of God Almighty when he speaks. 6It came to pass, when he commanded the man clothed in linen, saying, Take fire from between the whirling wheels, from between the cherubim, that he went in, and stood beside a wheel. 7The cherub stretched out his hand from between the cherubim to the fire that was between the cherubim, and took of it, and put it into the hands of him who was clothed in linen, who took it and went out. 8There appeared in the cherubim the form of a man’s hand under their wings. 9I looked, and behold, four wheels beside the cherubim, one wheel beside one cherub, and another wheel beside another cherub; and the appearance of the wheels was like a beryl stone. 10As for their appearance, the four of them had one likeness, like a wheel within a wheel. 11When they went, they went in their four directions: they didn’t turn as they went, but to the place where the head looked they followed it; they didn’t turn as they went. 12Their whole body, and their backs, and their hands, and their wings, and the wheels, were full of eyes all around, even the wheels that the four of them had. 13As for the wheels, they were called in my hearing, the whirling wheels. 14Every one had four faces: the first face was the face of the cherub, and the second face was the face of a man, and the third face the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle. 15The cherubim mounted up: this is the living creature that I saw by the river Chebar. 16When the cherubim went, the wheels went beside them; and when the cherubim lifted up their wings to mount up from the earth, the wheels also didn’t turn from beside them. 17When they stood, these stood; and when they mounted up, these mounted up with them: for the spirit of the living creature was in them. 18Yahweh’s glory went out from over the threshold of the house, and stood over the cherubim. 19The cherubim lifted up their wings, and mounted up from the earth in my sight when they went out, and the wheels beside them: and they stood at the door of the east gate of Yahweh’s house; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above. 20This is the living creature that I saw under the God of Israel by the river Chebar; and I knew that they were cherubim. 21Every one had four faces, and every one four wings; and the likeness of the hands of a man was under their wings. 22As for the likeness of their faces, they were the faces which I saw by the river Chebar, their appearances and themselves; they went every one straight forward.
1Daarna zag ik, en ziet, boven het uitspansel, hetwelk was over het hoofd der cherubs, was als een saffiersteen, als de gedaante van de gelijkenis eens troons; en Hij verscheen op dezelve. 2En Hij sprak tot den man, bekleed met linnen, en Hij zeide: Ga in tot tussen de wielen, tot onder den cherub, en vul uw vuisten met vurige kolen van tussen de cherubs, en strooi ze over de stad; en hij ging in voor mijn ogen. 3De cherubs nu stonden ter rechterzijde van het huis, als die man inging; en een wolk vervulde het binnenste voorhof. 4Toen hief zich de heerlijkheid des HEEREN omhoog van boven den cherub, op den dorpel van het huis; en het huis werd vervuld met een wolk, en het voorhof was vol van den glans der heerlijkheid des HEEREN. 5En het geruis van de vleugelen der cherubs werd gehoord tot het uiterste voorhof, als de stem des almachtigen Gods, wanneer Hij spreekt. 6Het geschiedde nu, als Hij den man, bekleed met linnen, geboden had, zeggende: Neem vuur van tussen de wielen, van tussen de cherubs, dat hij inging en stond bij een rad. 7Toen stak een cherub zijn hand uit van tussen de cherubs tot het vuur, hetwelk was tussen de cherubs, en nam daarvan, en gaf het in de vuisten desgenen, die met linnen bekleed was; die nam het, en ging uit. 8Want er werd gezien aan de cherubs de gelijkenis van eens mensen hand onder hun vleugelen. 9Toen zag ik, en ziet, vier raderen waren bij de cherubs; een rad was bij elken cherub; en de gedaante der raderen was als de verf van een turkoois-steen. 10En aangaande hun gedaanten, die vier hadden enerlei gelijkenis, gelijk of het ware geweest een rad in het midden van een rad. 11Als die gingen, zo gingen deze op hun vier zijden; zij keerden zich niet om, als zij gingen; maar de plaats, waarheen het hoofd zag, die volgden zij na; zij keerden zich niet om, als zij gingen. 12Hun ganse lichaam nu, en hun ruggen, en hun handen, en hun vleugelen, mitsgaders de raderen, waren vol ogen rondom; die vier hadden hun raderen. 13Aangaande de raderen, elkeen derzelve werd voor mijn ogen genoemd Galgal. 14En elkeen had vier aangezichten; het eerste aangezicht was het aangezicht eens cherubs, en het tweede aangezicht was het aangezicht eens mensen, en het derde het aangezicht eens leeuws, en het vierde het aangezicht eens arends. 15En die cherubs hieven zich omhoog; dit was hetzelfde dier, dat ik bij de rivier Chebar gezien had. 16En als de cherubs gingen, zo gingen die raderen nevens dezelven; en als de cherubs hun vleugelen ophieven, om zich van de aarde omhoog te heffen, zo keerden zich diezelve raderen ook niet om van bij hen. 17Als die stonden, stonden deze, en als die opgeheven werden, hieven zich deze ook op; want de geest der dieren was in hen. 18Toen ging de heerlijkheid des HEEREN van boven den dorpel des huizes weg, en stond boven de cherubs. 19En de cherubs hieven hun vleugelen op, en verhieven zich van de aarde omhoog voor mijn ogen, als zij uitgingen; en de raderen waren tegenover hen; en elkeen stond aan de deur der Oostpoort van het huis des HEEREN; en de heerlijkheid des Gods Israels was van boven over hen. 20Dit is het dier, dat ik zag onder den Gods Israels bij de rivier Chebar; en ik bemerkte, dat het cherubs waren. 21Elkeen had vier aangezichten, en elkeen had vier vleugelen; en de gelijkenis van mensenhanden was onder hun vleugelen. 22En aangaande de gelijkenis van hun aangezichten, het waren dezelfde aangezichten, die ik gezien had bij de rivier Chebar, hun gedaanten en zij zelven; zij gingen ieder recht uit voor zijn aangezicht henen.
