1E aconteceu no mesmo ano, no princípio do reinado de Zedequias, rei de Judá, no quarto ano, no quinto mês, que Hananias, filho de Azur, profeta que era de Gibeom, falou para mim na casa do SENHOR diante dos sacerdotes e de todo o povo, dizendo: 2Assim fala o SENHOR dos exércitos, Deus de Israel, dizendo: Quebrarei o jugo do rei da Babilônia. 3Dentro do tempo de dois anos, trarei de volta a este lugar todos os objetos de valor da casa do SENHOR, que Nabucodonosor, rei da Babilônia, tomou deste lugar para os levar à Babilônia; 4E eu trarei de volta a este lugar a Jeconias filho de Jeoaquim, rei de Judá, e a todos os levados cativos de Judá que entraram na Babilônia, diz o SENHOR; pois quebrarei o jugo do rei da Babilônia. 5Então o profeta Jeremias disse ao profeta Hananias, diante dos sacerdotes e diante de todo o povo que estava na casa do SENHOR. 6Disse, pois, o profeta Jeremias: Amém! Assim o faça o SENHOR! Que o SENHOR confirme as tuas palavras, com que profetizaste; para que os objetos de valor da casa do SENHOR, e sejam trazidos de volta todos os cativos da Babilônia para este lugar. 7Porém ouve agora esta palavra, que eu falo aos teus ouvidos e aos ouvidos de todo o povo: 8Os profetas que foram antes de mim e antes de ti, desde os tempos antigos, profetizaram contra muitas terras e grandes reinos, guerra, aflição, e pestilência. 9O profeta que profetizar paz, quando suceder a palavra daquele profeta, será reconhecido tal profeta, que o SENHOR verdadeiramente o enviou. 10Então o profeta Hananias tomou o jugo do pescoço do profeta Jeremias, e o quebrou, 11E falou Hananias diante dos olhos de todo o povo, dizendo: Assim diz o SENHOR: Desta maneira quebrarei o jugo de Nabucodonosor, rei da Babilônia, dentro do tempo de dois anos, de sobre o pescoço de todas as nações. E Jeremias saiu dali. 12Mas depois que o profeta Hananias quebrou o jugo do pescoço do profeta Jeremias, veio a palavra do SENHOR a Jeremias, dizendo: 13Vai, e fala a Hananias, dizendo: Assim diz o SENHOR: Jugos de madeira quebraste, mas farás em seu lugar jugos de ferro. 14Porque assim diz o SENHOR dos exércitos, Deus de Israel: Jugo de ferro pus sobre o pescoço de todas estas nações, para que sirvam a Nabucodonosor rei da Babilônia, e a ele servirão; e até os animais do campo eu lhe dei. 15E disse o profeta Jeremias ao profeta Hananias: Agora ouve, Hananias: o SENHOR não te enviou, porém tu fizeste este povo confiar em mentiras. 16Por isso assim diz o SENHOR: Eis que eu te expulso de sobre a face da terra; morrerás neste ano, porque falaste rebelião contra o SENHOR. 17E morreu o profeta Hananias no mesmo ano, no sétimo mês.
1That same year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fourth year, in the fifth month, Hananiah the son of Azzur, the prophet, who was of Gibeon, spoke to me in Yahweh’s house, in the presence of the priests and of all the people, saying, 2Thus speaks Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, saying, I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon. 3Within two full years will I bring again into this place all the vessels of Yahweh’s house, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took away from this place, and carried to Babylon: 4and I will bring again to this place Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, with all the captives of Judah, who went to Babylon, says Yahweh; for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon. 5Then the prophet Jeremiah said to the prophet Hananiah in the presence of the priests, and in the presence of all the people who stood in Yahweh’s house, 6even the prophet Jeremiah said, Amen: Yahweh do so; Yahweh perform your words which you have prophesied, to bring again the vessels of Yahweh’s house, and all them of the captivity, from Babylon to this place. 7Nevertheless hear you now this word that I speak in your ears, and in the ears of all the people: 8The prophets who have been before me and before you of old prophesied against many countries, and against great kingdoms, of war, and of evil, and of pestilence. 9The prophet who prophesies of peace, when the word of the prophet shall happen, then shall the prophet be known, that Yahweh has truly sent him. 10Then Hananiah the prophet took the bar from off the prophet Jeremiah’s neck, and broke it. 11Hananiah spoke in the presence of all the people, saying, Thus says Yahweh: Even so will I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon within two full years from off the neck of all the nations. The prophet Jeremiah went his way. 12Then Yahweh’s word came to Jeremiah, after that Hananiah the prophet had broken the bar from off the neck of the prophet Jeremiah, saying, 13Go, and tell Hananiah, saying, Thus says Yahweh: You have broken the bars of wood; but you have made in their place bars of iron. 14For thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel: I have put a yoke of iron on the neck of all these nations, that they may serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and they shall serve him: and I have given him the animals of the field also. 15Then the prophet Jeremiah said to Hananiah the prophet, Hear now, Hananiah: Yahweh has not sent you; but you make this people to trust in a lie. 16Therefore thus says Yahweh, Behold, I will send you away from off the surface of the earth: this year you shall die, because you have spoken rebellion against Yahweh. 17So Hananiah the prophet died the same year in the seventh month.
1Voorts geschiedde het in hetzelfde jaar, in het begin des koninkrijks van Zedekia, koning van Juda, in het vierde jaar, in de vijfde maand, dat Hananja, zoon van Azur, de profeet, die van Gibeon was, tot mij sprak, in het huis des HEEREN, voor de ogen der priesteren en des gansen volks, zeggende: 2Zo spreekt de HEERE der heirscharen, de God Israels, zeggende: Ik heb het juk des konings van Babel verbroken. 3In nog twee volle jaren zal Ik tot deze plaats wederbrengen al de vaten van het huis des HEEREN, die Nebukadnezar, de koning van Babel, uit deze plaats heeft weggenomen, en dezelve naar Babel gebracht. 4Ook zal Ik Jechonia, den zoon van Jojakim, koning van Juda, en allen, die gevankelijk weggevoerd zijn van Juda, die te Babel gekomen zijn, tot deze plaats wederbrengen, spreekt de HEERE; want Ik zal het juk des konings van Babel verbreken. 5Toen sprak de profeet Jeremia tot den profeet Hananja, voor de ogen der priesteren, en voor de ogen des gansen volks, die in het huis des HEEREN stonden; 6En de profeet Jeremia zeide: Amen, de HEERE doe alzo! de HEERE bevestige uw woorden, die gij geprofeteerd hebt, dat Hij de vaten van des HEEREN huis, en allen, die gevankelijk zijn weggevoerd, van Babel wederbrenge tot deze plaats! 7Maar hoor nu dit woord, dat ik spreek voor uw oren, en voor de oren des gansen volks: 8De profeten, die voor mij en voor u van ouds geweest zijn, die hebben tegen veel landen en tegen grote koninkrijken geprofeteerd, van krijg, en van kwaad, en van pestilentie. 9De profeet, die geprofeteerd zal hebben van vrede, als het woord van dien profeet komt, dan zal die profeet bekend worden, dat hem de HEERE in der waarheid gezonden heeft. 10Toen nam de profeet Hananja het juk van den hals van den profeet Jeremia, en verbrak het. 11En Hananja sprak voor de ogen des gansen volks, zeggende: Zo zegt de HEERE: Alzo zal Ik verbreken het juk van Nebukadnezar, den koning van Babel, in nog twee volle jaren, van den hals al der volken. En de profeet Jeremia ging zijns weegs. 12Doch des HEEREN woord geschiedde tot Jeremia (nadat de profeet Hananja het juk van den hals van den profeet Jeremia verbroken had), zeggende: 13Ga henen en spreek tot Hananja, zeggende: Zo zegt de HEERE: Houten jukken hebt gij verbroken, nu zult gij in plaats van die ijzeren jukken maken. 14Want zo zegt de HEERE der heirscharen, de God Israels: Ik heb een ijzeren juk gedaan aan den hals van al deze volken, om Nebukadnezar, den koning van Babel, te dienen, en zij zullen hem dienen; ja, Ik heb hem ook het gedierte des velds gegeven. 15En de profeet Jeremia zeide tot den profeet Hananja: Hoor nu, Hananja! de HEERE heeft u niet gezonden, maar gij hebt gemaakt, dat dit volk op leugen vertrouwt. 16Daarom, zo zegt de HEERE: Zie, Ik zal u wegwerpen van den aardbodem; dit jaar zult gij sterven, omdat gij een afval gesproken hebt tegen den HEERE. 17Alzo stierf de profeet Hananja in datzelfde jaar, in de zevende maand.
