1Poi egli mi ricondusse verso la porta esterna del santuario, che guarda a oriente. Io guardai, ed ecco, la gloria dell’Eterno riempiva la casa dell’Eterno; e io caddi sulla mia faccia. 5E l’Eterno mi disse: "Figliuol d’uomo, sta’ bene attento, apri gli occhi per guardare e gli orecchi per udire tutto quello che ti dirò circa tutti i regolamenti della casa dell’Eterno e tutte le sue leggi; e considera attentamente l’ingresso della casa e tutti gli egressi del santuario. 6E dì a questi ribelli, alla casa d’Israele: Così parla il Signore, l’Eterno: O casa d’Israele, bastano tutte le vostre abominazioni! 7Avete fatto entrare degli stranieri, incirconcisi di cuore e incirconcisi di carne, perché stessero nel mio santuario a profanare la mia casa, quando offrivate il mio pane, il grasso e il sangue, violando così il mio patto con tutte le vostre abominazioni. 8Voi non avete serbato l’incarico che avevate delle mie cose sante; ma ne avete fatti custodi quegli stranieri, nel mio santuario, a vostro pro. 9Così parla il Signore, l’Eterno: Nessuno straniero incirconciso di cuore, e incirconciso di carne, entrerà nel mio santuario: nessuno degli stranieri che saranno in mezzo dei figliuoli d’Israele. 10Inoltre, i Leviti che si sono allontanati da me quando Israele si sviava, e si sono sviati da me per seguire i loro idoli, porteranno la pena della loro iniquità; 11e saranno nel mio santuario come de’ servi, con l’incarico di guardare le porte della casa; e faranno il servizio della casa: scanneranno per il popolo le vittime degli olocausto e degli altri sacrifizi, e si terranno davanti a lui per essere al suo servizio. 12Siccome han servito il popolo davanti agl’idoli suoi e sono stati per la casa d’Israele un’occasione di caduta nell’iniquità, io alzo la mia mano contro di loro, dice il Signore, l’Eterno, giurando ch’essi porteranno la pena della loro iniquità. 13E non s’accosteranno più a me per esercitare il sacerdozio, e non s’accosteranno ad alcuna delle mia cose sante, alle cose che sono santissime; ma porteranno il loro obbrobrio, e la pena delle abominazioni che hanno commesse; 14ne farò dei guardiani della casa, incaricati di tutto il servigio d’essa e di tutto ciò che vi si deve fare. 15Ma i sacerdoti Leviti, figliuoli di Tsadok, i quali hanno serbato l’incarico che avevano del mio santuario quando i figliuoli d’Israele si sviavano da me, saranno quelli che si accosteranno a me per fare il mio servizio, e che si terranno davanti a me per offrirmi il grasso e il sangue, dice il Signore, l’Eterno. 16Essi entreranno nel mio santuario, essi s’accosteranno alla mia tavola per servirmi, e compiranno tutto il mio servizio. 17E quando entreranno per le porte del cortile interno, indosseranno vesti di lino; non avranno addosso lana di sorta, quando faranno il servizio alle porte del cortile interno e nella casa. 18Avranno in capo delle tiare di lino, e delle brache di lino ai fianchi; non si cingeranno con ciò che fa sudare. 19Ma quando usciranno per andare nel cortile esterno, nel cortile esterno verso il popolo, si toglieranno i paramenti coi quali avranno fatto il servizio, e li deporranno nelle camere del santuario; e indosseranno altre vesti, per non santificare il popolo con i loro paramenti. 20Non si raderanno il capo, e non si lasceranno crescere i capelli; non porteranno i capelli corti. 21Nessun sacerdote berrà vino, quand’entrerà nel cortile interno. 22Non prenderanno per moglie né una vedova, né una donna ripudiata, ma prenderanno delle vergini della progenie della casa d’Israele; potranno però prendere delle vedove, che sian vedove di sacerdoti. 23Insegneranno al mio popolo a distinguere fra il sacro e il profano, e gli faranno conoscere la differenza tra ciò ch’è impuro e ciò ch’è puro. 24In casi di processo, spetterà a loro il giudicare; e giudicheranno secondo le mie prescrizioni, e osserveranno le mie leggi e i miei statuti in tutte le mie feste, e santificheranno i miei sabati. 25Il sacerdote non entrerà dov’è un morto, per non rendersi impuro, non si potrà rendere impuro che per un padre, per una madre, per un figliuolo, per una figliuola, per un fratello o una sorella non maritata. 26Dopo la sua purificazione, gli si conteranno sette giorni; 27e il giorno che entrerà nel santuario, nel cortile interno, per fare il servizio nel santuario, offrirà il suo sacrifizio per il peccato, dice il Signore, l’Eterno. 28E avranno una eredità: Io sarò la loro eredità; e voi non darete loro alcun possesso in Israele: Io sono il loro possesso. 29Essi si nutriranno delle oblazioni, dei sacrifizi per il peccato e dei sacrifizi per la colpa: e ogni cosa votata allo sterminio in Israele sarà loro. 30E le primizie dei primi prodotti d’ogni sorta, tutte le offerte di qualsivoglia cosa che offrirete per elevazione, saranno dei sacerdoti; darete parimente al sacerdote le primizie della vostra pasta, affinché la benedizione riposi sulla vostra casa. 31I sacerdoti non mangeranno carne di nessun uccello né d’alcun animale morto da sé o sbranato.
1Then he brought me back by the way of the outer gate of the sanctuary, which looks toward the east; and it was shut. 2Yahweh said to me, This gate shall be shut; it shall not be opened, neither shall any man enter in by it; for Yahweh, the God of Israel, has entered in by it; therefore it shall be shut. 3As for the prince, he shall sit therein as prince to eat bread before Yahweh; he shall enter by the way of the porch of the gate, and shall go out by the way of the same. 4Then he brought me by the way of the north gate before the house; and I looked, and behold, Yahweh’s glory filled Yahweh’s house: and I fell on my face. 5Yahweh said to me, Son of man, mark well, and see with your eyes, and hear with your ears all that I tell you concerning all the ordinances of Yahweh’s house, and all its laws; and mark well the entrance of the house, with every exit of the sanctuary. 6You shall tell the rebellious, even to the house of Israel, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: you house of Israel, let it suffice you of all your abominations, 7in that you have brought in foreigners, uncircumcised in heart and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in my sanctuary, to profane it, even my house, when you offer my bread, the fat and the blood, and they have broken my covenant, to add to all your abominations. 8You have not performed the duty of my holy things; but you have set performers of my duty in my sanctuary for yourselves. 9Thus says the Lord Yahweh, No foreigner, uncircumcised in heart and uncircumcised in flesh, shall enter into my sanctuary, of any foreigners who are among the children of Israel. 10But the Levites who went far from me, when Israel went astray, who went astray from me after their idols, they shall bear their iniquity. 11Yet they shall be ministers in my sanctuary, having oversight at the gates of the house, and ministering in the house: they shall kill the burnt offering and the sacrifice for the people, and they shall stand before them to minister to them. 12Because they ministered to them before their idols, and became a stumbling block of iniquity to the house of Israel; therefore have I lifted up my hand against them, says the Lord Yahweh, and they shall bear their iniquity. 13They shall not come near to me, to execute the office of priest to me, nor to come near to any of my holy things, to the things that are most holy; but they shall bear their shame, and their abominations which they have committed. 14Yet will I make them performers of the duty of the house, for all its service, and for all that shall be done therein. 15But the priests the Levites, the sons of Zadok, who performed the duty of my sanctuary when the children of Israel went astray from me, they shall come near to me to minister to me; and they shall stand before me to offer to me the fat and the blood, says the Lord Yahweh: 16they shall enter into my sanctuary, and they shall come near to my table, to minister to me, and they shall keep my instruction. 17It shall be that, when they enter in at the gates of the inner court, they shall be clothed with linen garments; and no wool shall come on them, while they minister in the gates of the inner court, and within. 18They shall have linen tires on their heads, and shall have linen breeches on their waists; they shall not clothe themselves with anything that makes them sweat. 19When they go out into the outer court, even into the outer court to the people, they shall put off their garments in which they minister, and lay them in the holy rooms; and they shall put on other garments, that they not sanctify the people with their garments. 20Neither shall they shave their heads, nor allow their locks to grow long; they shall only cut off the hair of their heads. 21Neither shall any of the priests drink wine, when they enter into the inner court. 22Neither shall they take for their wives a widow, nor her who is put away; but they shall take virgins of the seed of the house of Israel, or a widow who is the widow of a priest. 23They shall teach my people the difference between the holy and the common, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean. 24In a controversy they shall stand to judge; according to my ordinances shall they judge it: and they shall keep my laws and my statutes in all my appointed feasts; and they shall make my Sabbaths holy. 25They shall go in to no dead person to defile themselves; but for father, or for mother, or for son, or for daughter, for brother, or for sister who has had no husband, they may defile themselves. 26After he is cleansed, they shall reckon to him seven days. 27In the day that he goes into the sanctuary, into the inner court, to minister in the sanctuary, he shall offer his sin offering, says the Lord Yahweh. 28They shall have an inheritance: I am their inheritance; and you shall give them no possession in Israel; I am their possession. 29They shall eat the meal offering, and the sin offering, and the trespass offering; and every devoted thing in Israel shall be theirs. 30The first of all the first fruits of every thing, and every offering of everything, of all your offerings, shall be for the priest: you shall also give to the priests the first of your dough, to cause a blessing to rest on your house. 31The priests shall not eat of anything that dies of itself, or is torn, whether it be bird or animal.
1Toen deed hij mij wederkeren den weg naar de poort van het buitenste heiligdom, die naar het oosten zag; en die was toegesloten. 2En de HEERE zeide tot mij: Deze poort zal toegesloten zijn, zij zal niet geopend worden, noch iemand door dezelve ingaan, omdat de HEERE, de God Israels, door dezelve is ingegaan; daarom zal zij toegesloten zijn. 3De vorst, de vorst, die zal in dezelve zitten, om brood te eten voor het aangezicht des HEEREN; door den weg van het voorhuis der poort zal hij ingaan, en door den weg van hetzelve zal hij uitgaan. 4Daarna bracht hij mij den weg der noorderpoort, voor aan het huis; en ik zag, en ziet, de heerlijkheid des HEEREN had het huis des HEEREN vervuld; toen viel ik op mijn aangezicht. 5En de HEERE zeide tot mij: Mensenkind! zet er uw hart op, en zie met uw ogen, en hoor met uw oren alles, wat Ik met u spreken zal, van alle inzettingen van het huis des HEEREN, en van al zijn wetten; en zet uw hart op den ingang van het huis, met alle uitgangen des heiligdoms. 6En zeg tot die wederspannigen, tot het huis Israels: Zo zegt de Heere HEERE: Het is te veel voor ulieden, vanwege al uw gruwelen, o huis Israels. 7Dewijl gijlieden vreemden hebt ingebracht, onbesnedenen van hart en onbesnedenen van vlees, om in Mijn heiligdom te zijn, om dat te ontheiligen, te weten Mijn huis; als gij Mijn brood, het vette en het bloed offerdet, en zij Mijn verbond verbraken, nevens al uw gruwelen. 8En gijlieden hebt de wacht van Mijn heilige dingen niet waargenomen; maar gij hebt uzelven enigen tot wachters Mijner wacht gesteld in Mijn heiligdom. 9Alzo zegt de Heere HEERE: Geen vreemde, onbesneden van hart, en onbesneden van vlees, zal in Mijn heiligdom ingaan, van enigen vreemde, die in het midden der kinderen Israels is. 10Maar de Levieten, die verre van Mij geweken zijn, als Israel ging dolen, die van Mij zijn afgedwaald, hun drekgoden achterna, zullen wel hun ongerechtigheid dragen; 11Nochtans zullen zij in Mijn heiligdom bedienaars zijn, in de ambten aan de poorten van het huis, en zij zullen het huis bedienen; zij zullen het brandoffer en het slachtoffer voor het volk slachten, en zullen voor hun aangezicht staan, om hen te dienen; 12Omdat zij henlieden gediend hebben voor het aangezicht hunner drekgoden, en den huize Israels tot een aanstoot der ongerechtigheid geweest zijn, daarom heb Ik Mijn hand tegen hen opgeheven, spreekt de Heere HEERE, dat zij hun ongerechtigheid zullen dragen. 13En zij zullen tot Mij niet naderen, om Mij het priesterambt te bedienen, en om te naderen tot al Mijn heilige dingen, tot de allerheiligste dingen; maar zullen hun schande dragen, en hun gruwelen, die zij gedaan hebben. 14Daarom zal Ik hen stellen tot wachters van de wacht des huizes, aan al zijn dienst, en aan alles, wat daarin zal gedaan worden. 15Maar de Levietische priesters, de kinderen van Zadok, die de wacht Mijns heiligdoms hebben waargenomen, als de kinderen Israels van Mij afdwaalden, die zullen tot Mij naderen, om Mij te dienen; en zullen voor Mijn aangezicht staan, om Mij het vette en het bloed te offeren, spreekt de Heere HEERE; 16Die zullen in Mijn heiligdom ingaan, en die zullen tot Mijn tafel naderen, om Mij te dienen, en zij zullen Mijn wacht waarnemen. 17En het zal geschieden, als zij tot de poorten van het binnenste voorhof zullen ingaan, dat zij linnen klederen zullen aantrekken; maar wol zal op hen niet komen, als zij dienen in de poorten van het binnenste voorhof, en inwaarts. 18Linnen huiven zullen op hun hoofd zijn, en linnen onderbroeken zullen op hun lenden zijn; zij zullen zich niet gorden in het zweet. 19En als zij uitgaan tot het buitenste voorhof, namelijk tot het buitenste voorhof tot het volk, zullen zij hun klederen, in dewelke zij gediend hebben, uittrekken, en dezelve henenleggen in de heilige kameren; en zullen andere klederen aantrekken, opdat zij het volk niet heiligen met hun klederen. 20En zij zullen hun hoofd niet glad afscheren, ook de lokken niet lang laten wassen; behoorlijk zullen zij hun hoofden bescheren. 21Ook zal geen priester wijn drinken, als zij in het binnenste voorhof zullen ingaan. 22Ook zullen zij zich geen weduwe of verstotene tot vrouwen nemen; maar jonge dochters van het zaad van het huis Israels, of een weduwe, die een weduwe zal geweest zijn van een priester, zullen zij nemen. 23En zij zullen Mijn volk onderscheid leren tussen het heilige en onheilige, en hun bekend maken het onderscheid tussen het onreine en reine. 24En over een twistzaak zullen zij staan om te richten; naar Mijn rechten zullen zij hen richten; en zij zullen Mijn wetten en Mijn inzettingen op al Mijn gezette hoogtijden houden, en Mijn sabbatten heiligen. 25Ook zal geen van hen tot een doden mens ingaan, dat hij onrein worde; maar om een vader, of om een moeder, of om een zoon, of om een dochter, om een broeder of om een zuster, die geens mans geweest is, zullen zij zich mogen verontreinigen. 26En na zijn reiniging zullen zij hem zeven dagen tellen. 27En ten dage, als hij in het heilige zal ingaan, in het binnenste voorhof, om in het heilige te dienen, zal hij zijn zondoffer offeren, spreekt de Heere HEERE. 28Dit nu zal hun tot een erfenis zijn: Ik ben hun Erfenis; daarom zult gij hunlieden geen bezitting geven in Israel; Ik ben hun Bezitting. 29Het spijsoffer, en het zondoffer, en het schuldoffer, die zullen zij eten; ook zal al het verbannene in Israel het hunne zijn. 30En de eerstelingen van alle eerste vruchten van alles, en alle hefoffer van alles, van al uw hefofferen, zullen der priesteren zijn; ook zult gij de eerstelingen van uw deeg den priester geven, om den zegen op uw huis te doen rusten. 31Geen aas, noch wat verscheurd is van het gevogelte, of van het vee, zullen de priesters eten.
