1Ðức Giê-hô-va phán cùng Môi-se rằng: Bây giờ ngươi hãy xem những điều ta sẽ hành Pha-ra-ôn; vì nhờ tay quyền năng ép buộc vua đó sẽ tha và đuổi dân Y-sơ-ra-ên ra khỏi xứ mình. 2Ðức Chúa Trời lại phán cùng Môi-se rằng: Ta là Ðức Giê-hô-va. 3Ta đã hiện ra cùng Áp-ra-ham, cùng Y-sác, và cùng Gia-cốp, tỏ mình là Ðức Chúa Trời toàn năng; song về danh ta là Giê-hô-va, thì ta chưa hề tỏ cho họ biết. 4Ta cũng có lập giao ước cùng họ, để ban xứ Ca-na-an cho, là xứ họ đã kiều ngụ như khách ngoại bang. 5Ta cũng có nghe lời than thở của dân Y-sơ-ra-ên bị người Ê-díp-tô bắt làm tôi mọi, bèn nhớ lại sự giao ước của ta. 6Vậy nên, ngươi hãy nói cùng dân Y-sơ-ra-ên rằng: Ta là Ðức Giê-hô-va sẽ rút các ngươi khỏi gánh nặng mà người Ê-díp-tô đã gán cho, cùng giải thoát khỏi vòng tôi mọi; ta sẽ giơ thẳng tay ra, dùng sự đoán phạt nặng mà chuộc các ngươi. 7Ta sẽ nhận các ngươi làm dân ta, và ta sẽ làm Ðức Chúa Trời của các ngươi; các ngươi sẽ biết ta là Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời của các ngươi, đã rút các ngươi khỏi gánh nặng của người Ê-díp-tô. 8Ta sẽ dắt các ngươi vào xứ ta đã thề ban cho Áp-ra-ham, cho Y-sác, cho Gia-cốp, mà cho các ngươi xứ đó làm cơ nghiệp: Ta là Ðức Giê-hô-va. 9Môi-se nói lại như vậy cho dân Y-sơ-ra-ên; nhưng vì bị sầu não và việc tôi mọi nặng nề, nên chẳng nghe Môi-se chút nào. 10Ðức Giê-hô-va bèn phán cùng Môi-se rằng: 11Hãy đi tâu cùng Pha-ra-ôn, vua xứ Ê-díp-tô, phải cho dân Y-sơ-ra-ên ra khỏi xứ mình. 12Nhưng Môi-se thưa cùng Ðức Giê-hô-va rằng: Nầy, tôi là một kẻ vụng miệng; dân Y-sơ-ra-ên chẳng có nghe lời tôi, Pha-ra-ôn há sẽ khứng nghe lời tôi sao? 13Ðức Giê-hô-va lại phán cùng Môi-se và A-rôn, bèn truyền cho hai người phải đi đến dân Y-sơ-ra-ên và Pha-ra-ôn, vua xứ Ê-díp-tô, đặng đem dân đó ra khỏi xứ Ê-díp-tô. 14Ðây là các trưởng tộc của những họ hàng dân Y-sơ-ra-ên. Các con trai của Ru-bên, tức là trưởng nam Y-sơ-ra-ên, là: Hê-nóc, Pha-lu, Hết-rôn và Cạt-mi. Ðó là những họ hàng của Ru-bên. 15Các con trai của Si-mê-ôn là: Giê-mu-ên, Gia-min, Ô-hát, Gia-kin, Xô-ha và Sau-lơ là con của vợ xứ Ca-na-an. Ðó là họ hàng của Si-mê-ôn. 16Ðây là tên các con trai của Lê-vi, tùy theo dòng dõi của họ: Ghẹt-sôn, Kê-hát, và Mê-ra-ri. Lê-vi hưởng thọ được một trăm ba mươi bảy tuổi. 17Các con trai của Ghẹt-sôn, tùy theo họ hàng mình: Líp-ni và Si-mê -y. 18Các con trai của Kê-hát là: Am-ram, Dít-sê-ha, Hếp-rôn, và U-xi-ên. Ðó là các họ hàng của dân Cô-rê. 25Ê-lê-a-sa, con trai của A-rôn, cưới con gái của Phu-ti-ên làm vợ; nàng sanh Phi-nê-a cho người. Ðó là các trưởng tộc của nhà tổ phụ người Lê-vi, tùy theo họ hàng mình vậy. 26Ấy, A-rôn và Môi-se nầy, tức là người mà Ðức Giê-hô-va đã phán dạy rằng: Hãy tùy theo cơ đội, đem dân Y-sơ-ra-ên ra khỏi xứ Ê-díp-tô. 27Ấy là hai người tâu cùng Pha-ra-ôn, vua xứ Ê-díp-tô, đặng đem dân Y-sơ-ra-ên ra khỏi xứ đó; ấy là Môi-se và A-rôn nầy. 28Vậy, trong ngày Ðức Giê-hô-va phán cùng Môi-se tại xứ Ê-díp-tô, 29thì Ngài có truyền rằng: Ta là Ðức Giê-hô-va, hãy tâu lại cùng Pha-ra-ôn, vua xứ Ê-díp-tô, hết thảy mọi lời ta sẽ phán cùng ngươi. 30Môi-se bèn thưa rằng: Nầy, tôi là người vụng miệng: Pha-ra-ôn há sẽ nghe tôi sao?
1Yahweh said to Moses, “Now you shall see what I will do to Pharaoh, for by a strong hand he shall let them go, and by a strong hand he shall drive them out of his land.” 2God spoke to Moses, and said to him, “I am Yahweh; 3and I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, as God Almighty; but by my name Yahweh I was not known to them. 4I have also established my covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their travels, in which they lived as aliens. 5Moreover I have heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage, and I have remembered my covenant. 6Therefore tell the children of Israel, ‘I am Yahweh, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm, and with great judgments: 7and I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God; and you shall know that I am Yahweh your God, who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. 8I will bring you into the land which I swore to give to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; and I will give it to you for a heritage: I am Yahweh.’” 9Moses spoke so to the children of Israel, but they didn’t listen to Moses for anguish of spirit, and for cruel bondage. 10Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, 11“Go in, speak to Pharaoh king of Egypt, that he let the children of Israel go out of his land.” 12Moses spoke before Yahweh, saying, “Behold, the children of Israel haven’t listened to me. How then shall Pharaoh listen to me, who am of uncircumcised lips?” 13Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron, and gave them a command to the children of Israel, and to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt. 14These are the heads of their fathers’ houses. The sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel: Hanoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi; these are the families of Reuben. 15The sons of Simeon: Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul the son of a Canaanite woman; these are the families of Simeon. 16These are the names of the sons of Levi according to their generations: Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari; and the years of the life of Levi were one hundred thirty-seven years. 17The sons of Gershon: Libni and Shimei, according to their families. 18The sons of Kohath: Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel; and the years of the life of Kohath were one hundred thirty-three years. 19The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. These are the families of the Levites according to their generations. 20Amram took Jochebed his father’s sister to himself as wife; and she bore him Aaron and Moses: and the years of the life of Amram were a hundred and thirty-seven years. 21The sons of Izhar: Korah, and Nepheg, and Zichri. 22The sons of Uzziel: Mishael, and Elzaphan, and Sithri. 23Aaron took Elisheba, the daughter of Amminadab, the sister of Nahshon, as his wife; and she bore him Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar. 24The sons of Korah: Assir, and Elkanah, and Abiasaph; these are the families of the Korahites. 25Eleazar Aaron’s son took one of the daughters of Putiel as his wife; and she bore him Phinehas. These are the heads of the fathers’ houses of the Levites according to their families. 26These are that Aaron and Moses, to whom Yahweh said, “Bring out the children of Israel from the land of Egypt according to their armies.” 27These are those who spoke to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring out the children of Israel from Egypt. These are that Moses and Aaron. 28On the day when Yahweh spoke to Moses in the land of Egypt, 29Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, “I am Yahweh. Speak to Pharaoh king of Egypt all that I speak to you.” 30Moses said before Yahweh, “Behold, I am of uncircumcised lips, and how shall Pharaoh listen to me?”
1Toen zeide de HEERE tot Mozes: Nu zult gij zien, wat Ik aan Farao doen zal; want door een machtige hand zal hij hen laten trekken, ja, door een machtige hand zal hij hen uit zijn land drijven. 2Verder sprak God tot Mozes, en zeide tot hem: Ik ben de HEERE, 3En Ik ben aan Abraham, Izak, en Jakob verschenen, als God de Almachtige; doch met Mijn Naam HEERE ben Ik hun niet bekend geweest. 4En ook heb Ik Mijn verbond met hen opgericht, dat Ik hun geven zou het land Kanaan, het land hunner vreemdelingschappen, waarin zij vreemdelingen geweest zijn. 5En ook heb Ik gehoord het gekerm der kinderen Israels, die de Egyptenaars in dienstbaarheid houden, en Ik heb aan Mijn verbond gedacht. 6Derhalve zeg tot de kinderen Israels: Ik ben de HEERE! en Ik zal ulieden uitleiden van onder de lasten der Egyptenaren, en Ik zal u redden uit hun dienstbaarheid, en zal u verlossen door een uitgestrekten arm, en door grote gerichten; 7En Ik zal ulieden tot Mijn volk aannemen, en Ik zal u tot een God zijn; en gijlieden zult bekennen, dat Ik de HEERE uw God ben, Die u uitleide van onder de lasten der Egyptenaren. 8En Ik zal ulieden brengen in dat land, waarover Ik Mijn hand opgeheven heb, dat Ik het aan Abraham, Izak, en Jakob geven zou; en Ik zal het ulieden geven tot een erfdeel, Ik, de HEERE! 9En Mozes sprak alzo tot de kinderen Israels; doch zij hoorden naar Mozes niet, vanwege de benauwdheid des geestes, en vanwege de harde dienstbaarheid. 10Verder sprak de HEERE tot Mozes, zeggende: 11Ga heen, spreek tot Farao, den koning van Egypte, dat hij de kinderen Israels uit zijn land trekken late. 12Doch Mozes sprak voor den HEERE, zeggende: Zie, de kinderen Israels hebben naar mij niet gehoord; hoe zou mij dan Farao horen? daartoe ben ik onbesneden van lippen. 13Evenwel sprak de HEERE tot Mozes en tot Aaron, en gaf hun bevel aan de kinderen Israels, en aan Farao, den koning van Egypte, om de kinderen Israels uit Egypteland te leiden. 14Dit zijn de hoofden van ieder huis hunner vaderen: de zonen van Ruben, den eerstgeborene van Israel, zijn Hanoch en Pallu, Hezron en Charmi; dit zijn de huisgezinnen van Ruben. 15En de zonen van Simeon: Jemuel, en Jamin, en Ohad, en Jachin, en Zohar, en Saul, de zoon ener Kanaanietische; dit zijn de huisgezinnen van Simeon. 16Dit nu zijn de namen der zonen van Levi, naar hun geboorten: Gerson, en Kehath, en Merari.
