ગીતશાસ્ત્ર 46

1ઈશ્વર આપણો આશ્રય તથા સામર્થ્ય છે, સંકટને સમયે તે હાજરહજૂર મદદગાર છે. 2માટે જો પૃથ્વી ઊથલપાથલ થાય જો પર્વતો સમુદ્રમાં ડૂબી જાય, તોપણ આપણે બીહીએ નહિ. 3જો તેનું પાણી ગર્જના કરે તથા વલોવાય જો તેના ઊછળવાથી પર્વતો કાંપી ઊઠે, તોપણ આપણે બીહીએ નહિ. સેલાહ. 4ત્યાં એક નદી છે જેના ઝરણાંઓ ઈશ્વરના નગરને એટલે પરાત્પરના મંડપના પવિત્રસ્થાનને આનંદમય કરે છે. 5ઈશ્વર તેની વચમાં છે; તેને હલાવી શકાશે નહિ; મોટી સવારે ઈશ્વર તેને મદદ કરશે. 6વિદેશીઓએ તોફાન મચાવ્યું છે અને રાજ્યો ડગમગી ગયાં; તેમણે ગર્જના કરી એટલે, પૃથ્વી પીગળી ગઈ. 7આપણી સાથે સૈન્યોના સરદાર યહોવાહ છે; આપણો આશ્રય યાકૂબના ઈશ્વર છે. સેલાહ. 8આવો યહોવાહનાં પરાક્રમો જુઓ, તેમણે પૃથ્વીની કેવી પાયમાલી કરી છે તે જુઓ. 9તે પૃથ્વીના છેડાઓ સુધી યુદ્ધોને બંધ કરી દે છે; તે ધનુષ્યને ભાંગી નાખે છે અને ભાલાને કાપી નાખે છે; રથોને અગ્નિથી બાળી નાખે છે. 10લડાઈ બંધ કરો અને જાણો કે હું ઈશ્વર છું; હું વિદેશીઓમાં મોટો મનાઈશ; હું પૃથ્વીમાં મોટો મનાઈશ. 11સૈન્યોના યહોવાહ આપણી સાથે છે; યાકૂબના ઈશ્વર આપણા આશ્રય છે. સેલાહ.

1God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. 2Therefore we won’t be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas; 3though its waters roar and are troubled, though the mountains tremble with their swelling. Selah. 4There is a river, the streams of which make the city of God glad, the holy place of the tents of the Most High. 5God is in her midst. She shall not be moved. God will help her at dawn. 6The nations raged. The kingdoms were moved. He lifted his voice, and the earth melted. 7Yahweh of Armies is with us. The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah. 8Come, see Yahweh’s works, what desolations he has made in the earth. 9He makes wars cease to the end of the earth. He breaks the bow, and shatters the spear. He burns the chariots in the fire. 10“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth.” 11Yahweh of Armies is with us. The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

God is ons een Toevlucht en Sterkte; Hij is krachtelijk bevonden een Hulp in benauwdheden. 2Daarom zullen wij niet vrezen, al veranderde de aarde haar plaats, en al werden de bergen verzet in het hart der zeeen; 3Laat haar wateren bruisen, laat ze beroerd worden; laat de bergen daveren, door derzelver verheffing! Sela. 4De beekjes der rivier zullen verblijden de stad Gods, het heiligdom der woningen des Allerhoogsten. 5God is in het midden van haar, zij zal niet wankelen; God zal haar helpen in het aanbreken van den morgenstond. 6De heidenen raasden, de koninkrijken bewogen zich; Hij verhief Zijn stem, de aarde versmolt. 7De HEERE der heirscharen is met ons; de God van Jakob is ons een Hoog Vertrek. Sela. 8Komt, aanschouwt de daden des HEEREN, Die verwoestingen op aarde aanricht. 9Die de oorlogen doet ophouden tot aan het einde der aarde, de boog verbreekt, en de spies aan twee slaat, de wagenen met vuur verbrandt. 10Laat af, en weet, dat Ik God ben; Ik zal verhoogd worden onder de heidenen, Ik zal verhoogd worden op de aarde. 11De HEERE der heirscharen is met ons; de God van Jakob is ons een Hoog Vertrek.
