1Voici les noms des tribus. Depuis l’extrémité septentrionale, le long du chemin de Hethlon à Hamath, Hatsar-Énon, la frontière de Damas au nord vers Hamath, de l’orient à l’occident : Dan, une tribu. 2Sur la limite de Dan, de l’orient à l’occident : Aser, une tribu. 3Sur la limite d’Aser, de l’orient à l’occident : Nephthali, une tribu. 4Sur la limite de Nephthali, de l’orient à l’occident : Manassé, une tribu. 5Sur la limite de Manassé, de l’orient à l’occident : Éphraïm, une tribu. 6Sur la limite d’Éphraïm, de l’orient à l’occident : Ruben, une tribu. 7Sur la limite de Ruben, de l’orient à l’occident : Juda, une tribu. 8Sur la frontière de Juda, de l’orient à l’occident, sera la portion que vous prélèverez, large de vingt-cinq mille cannes et longue comme l’une des parts de l’orient à l’occident ; et le sanctuaire sera au milieu. 9La portion que vous prélèverez pour l’Éternel aura vingt-cinq mille cannes de longueur et dix mille de largeur. 10C’est aux sacrificateurs qu’appartiendra cette portion sainte : vingt-cinq mille cannes au septentrion, dix mille en largeur à l’occident, dix mille en largeur à l’orient, et vingt-cinq mille en longueur au midi ; et le sanctuaire de l’Éternel sera au milieu. 11Elle appartiendra aux sacrificateurs consacrés, aux fils de Tsadok, qui ont fait le service de mon sanctuaire, qui ne se sont point égarés, lorsque les enfants d’Israël s’égaraient, comme s’égaraient les Lévites. 12Elle leur appartiendra comme portion très sainte, prélevée sur la portion du pays qui aura été prélevée, à côté de la limite des Lévites. 13Les Lévites auront, parallèlement à la limite des sacrificateurs, vingt-cinq mille cannes en longueur et dix mille en largeur, vingt-cinq mille pour toute la longueur et dix mille pour la largeur. 14Ils n’en pourront rien vendre ni échanger ; et les prémices du pays ne seront point aliénées, car elles sont consacrées à l’Éternel. 15Les cinq mille cannes qui resteront en largeur sur les vingt-cinq mille seront destinées à la ville, pour les habitations et la banlieue ; et la ville sera au milieu. 16En voici les mesures : du côté septentrional quatre mille cinq cents, du côté méridional quatre mille cinq cents, du côté oriental quatre mille cinq cents, et du côté occidental quatre mille cinq cents. 17La ville aura une banlieue de deux cent cinquante au nord, de deux cent cinquante au midi, de deux cent cinquante à l’orient, et de deux cent cinquante à l’occident. 18Le reste sur la longueur, parallèlement à la portion sainte, dix mille à l’orient et dix mille à l’occident, parallèlement à la portion sainte, formera les revenus destinés à l’entretien de ceux qui travailleront pour la ville. 19Le sol en sera cultivé par ceux de toutes les tribus d’Israël qui travailleront pour la ville. 20Toute la portion prélevée sera de vingt-cinq mille cannes en longueur sur vingt-cinq mille en largeur ; vous en séparerez un carré pour la propriété de la ville. 21Ce qui restera sera pour le prince, aux deux côtés de la portion sainte et de la propriété de la ville, le long des vingt-cinq mille cannes de la portion sainte jusqu’à la limite de l’orient, et à l’occident le long des vingt-cinq mille cannes vers la limite de l’occident, parallèlement aux parts. C’est là ce qui appartiendra au prince ; et la portion sainte et le sanctuaire de la maison seront au milieu. 22Ainsi ce qui appartiendra au prince sera l’espace compris depuis la propriété des Lévites et depuis la propriété de la ville ; ce qui sera entre la limite de Juda et la limite de Benjamin appartiendra au prince. 23Voici les autres tribus. De l’orient à l’occident : Benjamin, une tribu. 24Sur la limite de Benjamin, de l’orient à l’occident : Siméon, une tribu. 25Sur la limite de Siméon, de l’orient à l’occident : Issacar, une tribu. 26Sur la limite d’Issacar, de l’orient à l’occident : Zabulon, une tribu. 27Sur la limite de Zabulon, de l’orient à l’occident : Gad, une tribu. 28Sur la limite de Gad, du côté méridional, au midi, la frontière ira depuis Thamar, jusqu’aux eaux de Meriba à Kadès, jusqu’au torrent vers la grande mer. 29Tel est le pays que vous diviserez en héritage par le sort pour les tribus d’Israël et telles sont leurs parts, dit le Seigneur, l’Éternel. 30Voici les issues de la ville. 1Now these are the names of the tribes: From the north end, beside the way of Hethlon to the entrance of Hamath, Hazar Enan at the border of Damascus, northward beside Hamath, (and they shall have their sides east and west), Dan, one portion. 2By the border of Dan, from the east side to the west side, Asher, one portion. 3By the border of Asher, from the east side even to the west side, Naphtali, one portion. 4By the border of Naphtali, from the east side to the west side, Manasseh, one portion. 5By the border of Manasseh, from the east side to the west side, Ephraim, one portion. 6By the border of Ephraim, from the east side even to the west side, Reuben, one portion. 7By the border of Reuben, from the east side to the west side, Judah, one portion. 8By the border of Judah, from the east side to the west side, shall be the offering which you shall offer, twenty-five thousand reeds in breadth, and in length as one of the portions, from the east side to the west side: and the sanctuary shall be in its midst. 9The offering that you shall offer to Yahweh shall be twenty-five thousand reeds in length, and ten thousand in breadth. 10For these, even for the priests, shall be the holy offering: toward the north twenty-five thousand in length, and toward the west ten thousand in breadth, and toward the east ten thousand in breadth, and toward the south twenty-five thousand in length: and the sanctuary of Yahweh shall be in its midst. 11It shall be for the priests who are sanctified of the sons of Zadok, who have kept my instruction, who didn’t go astray when the children of Israel went astray, as the Levites went astray. 12It shall be to them an offering from the offering of the land, a thing most holy, by the border of the Levites. 13Answerable to the border of the priests, the Levites shall have twenty-five thousand in length, and ten thousand in breadth: all the length shall be twenty-five thousand, and the breadth ten thousand. 14They shall sell none of it, nor exchange it, nor shall the first fruits of the land be alienated; for it is holy to Yahweh. 15The five thousand that are left in the breadth, in front of the twenty-five thousand, shall be for common use, for the city, for dwelling and for suburbs; and the city shall be in its midst. 16These shall be its measures: the north side four thousand and five hundred, and the south side four thousand and five hundred, and on the east side four thousand and five hundred, and the west side four thousand and five hundred. 17The city shall have suburbs: toward the north two hundred fifty, and toward the south two hundred fifty, and toward the east two hundred fifty, and toward the west two hundred fifty. 18The remainder in the length, answerable to the holy offering, shall be ten thousand eastward, and ten thousand westward; and it shall be answerable to the holy offering; and its increase shall be for food to those who labor in the city. 19Those who labor in the city, out of all the tribes of Israel, shall cultivate it. 20All the offering shall be a square of twenty-five thousand by twenty-five thousand: you shall offer it as a holy offering, with the possession of the city. 21The remainder shall be for the prince, on the one side and on the other of the holy offering and of the possession of the city; in front of the twenty-five thousand of the offering toward the east border, and westward in front of the twenty-five thousand toward the west border, answerable to the portions, it shall be for the prince: and the holy offering and the sanctuary of the house shall be in its midst. 22Moreover from the possession of the Levites, and from the possession of the city, being in the midst of that which is the prince’s, between the border of Judah and the border of Benjamin, it shall be for the prince. 23As for the rest of the tribes: from the east side to the west side, Benjamin, one portion. 24By the border of Benjamin, from the east side to the west side, Simeon, one portion. 25By the border of Simeon, from the east side to the west side, Issachar, one portion. 26By the border of Issachar, from the east side to the west side, Zebulun, one portion. 27By the border of Zebulun, from the east side to the west side, Gad, one portion. 28By the border of Gad, at the south side southward, the border shall be even from Tamar to the waters of Meribath Kadesh, to the brook, to the great sea. 29This is the land which you shall divide by lot to the tribes of Israel for inheritance, and these are their several portions, says the Lord Yahweh. 30These are the exits of the city: On the north side four thousand and five hundred reeds by measure; 31and the gates of the city shall be after the names of the tribes of Israel, three gates northward: the gate of Reuben, one; the gate of Judah, one; the gate of Levi, one. 32At the east side four thousand and five hundred reeds, and three gates: even the gate of Joseph, one; the gate of Benjamin, one; the gate of Dan, one. 33At the south side four thousand and five hundred reeds by measure, and three gates: the gate of Simeon, one; the gate of Issachar, one; the gate of Zebulun, one. 34At the west side four thousand and five hundred reeds, with their three gates: the gate of Gad, one; the gate of Asher, one; the gate of Naphtali, one. 35It shall be eighteen thousand reeds around: and the name of the city from that day shall be, Yahweh is there.

en de stad zal in het midden daarvan zijn. 16En dit zullen haar maten zijn: de noorderhoek, vier duizend en vijfhonderd meetrieten; en de zuiderhoek vier duizend en vijfhonderd en van den oosterhoek vier duizend en vijfhonderd; en de westerhoek vier duizend en vijfhonderd. 17De voorsteden nu der stad zullen zijn, noordwaarts tweehonderd en vijftig, en zuidwaarts tweehonderd en vijftig, en oostwaarts tweehonderd en vijftig, en westwaarts tweehonderd en vijftig. 18En het overgelatene in de lengte, tegenover het heilig hefoffer, zal zijn tien duizend oostwaarts, en tien duizend westwaarts; en het zal tegenover het heilig hefoffer zijn; en de inkomst daarvan zal wezen tot onderhoud voor degenen, die de stad dienen. 19En die de stad dienen, zullen haar dienen uit alle stammen Israels. 20Het ganse hefoffer zal zijn van vijf en twintig duizend meetrieten, met vijf en twintig duizend; vierkant zult gijlieden het heilig hefoffer offeren, met de bezitting der stad. 21En het overgelatene zal voor den vorst zijn, van deze en van gene zijde des heiligen hefoffers, en van de bezitting der stad, voor aan de vijf en twintig duizend meetrieten des hefoffers, tot aan de oosterlandpale en westerlandpale, voor aan de vijf en twintig duizend aan de westerlandpale, tegenover de andere delen, dat zal voor den vorst zijn; en het heilig hefoffer, en het heiligdom des huizes, zal in het midden daarvan zijn. 22Van de bezitting nu der Levieten, en van de bezitting der stad af, zijnde in het midden van hetgeen des vorsten zal zijn; wat tussen de landpale van Juda, en tussen de landpale van Benjamin is, zal des vorsten zijn. 23Aangaande voorts het overige der stammen; van den oosterhoek tot den westerhoek toe, Benjamin een snoer. 24En aan de landpale van Benjamin, van den oosterhoek tot den westerhoek toe, Simeon een. 25En aan de landpale van Simeon, van den oosterhoek tot de westerhoek toe, Issaschar een. 26En aan de landpale van Issaschar, van den oosterhoek tot aan den westerhoek toe, Zebulon een. 27En aan de landpale van Zebulon, van den oosterhoek tot den westerhoek toe, Gad een. 28Aan de landpale nu van Gad, aan den zuiderhoek zuidwaarts, daar zal de landpale zijn van Thamar af, naar het twistwater van Kades, voorts naar de beek henen, tot aan de grote zee. 29Dit is het land, dat gijlieden zult doen vallen in erfenis, voor de stammen Israels, en dit zullen hun delen zijn, spreekt de Heere HEERE. 30Voorts zullen dit de uitgangen der stad zijn: van den noorderhoek, vier duizend en vijfhonderd maten. 31En de poorten der stad zullen zijn naar de namen der stammen Israels; drie poorten noordwaarts; een poort van Ruben, een poort van Juda, een poort van Levi. 32En aan den oosterhoek, vier duizend en vijfhonderd maten, en drie poorten: namelijk, een poort van Jozef, een poort van Benjamin, een poort van Dan. 33De zuiderhoek ook vier duizend en vijfhonderd maten, en drie poorten: een poort van Simeon, een poort van Issaschar, een poort van Zebulon. 34De westerhoek, vier duizend en vijfhonderd; derzelver poorten drie: een poort van Gad, een poort van Aser, een poort van Nafthali. 35Rondom achttien duizend; en de naam der stad zal van dien dag af zijn: De HEERE Is ALDAAR.
