1Cũng năm ấy, lúc Sê-đê-kia, vua Giu-đa, bắt đầu trị vì, tháng năm về năm thứ tư, Ha-na-nia, con trai A-xua, tiên tri ở Ga-ba-ôn, nói với tôi trong nhà Ðức Giê-hô-va, trước mặt các thầy tế lễ và cả dân sự rằng: 2Ðức Giê-hô-va vạn quân, Ðức Chúa Trời của Y-sơ-ra-ên, phán như vầy: Ta đã bẻ ách của vua Ba-by-lôn. 3Trong hai năm trọn, mọi khí mạnh của nhà Ðức Giê-hô-va mà Nê-bu-cát-nết-sa, vua Ba-by-lôn, đã cất đi khỏi chỗ nầy và dời qua Ba-by-lôn, thì ta sẽ lại đem về trong nơi nầy. 4Ðức Giê-hô-va phán: Ta lại sẽ đem Giê-cô-nia, con trai Giê-hô-gia-kim, vua Giu-đa, và mọi người Giu-đa bị bắt làm phu tù qua Ba-by-lôn, cũng đều trở về trong nơi nầy nữa; vì ta sẽ bẻ ách của vua Ba-by-lôn. 5Bấy giờ, tiên tri Giê-rê-mi đáp cùng tiên tri Ha-na-nia, trước mặt các thầy tế lễ và cả dân sự đương đứng trong nhà Ðức Giê-hô-va. 6Tiên tri Giê-rê-mi nói rằng: A-men, nguyền xin Ðức Giê-hô-va làm như vậy! Nguyền xin Ðức Giê-hô-va làm những lời ngươi đã nói tiên tri, đem những khí mạnh của nhà Ðức Giê-hô-va và hết thảy những kẻ phu tù từ Ba-by-lôn trở về trong chốn nầy! 7Dầu vậy, hãy nghe lời tôi nói vào tai ngươi và vào tai cả dân sự rằng: 8Các tiên tri ở trước tôi và trước ngươi, từ xưa đã nói tiên tri về giặc giã, tai vạ, và ôn dịch cho nhiều xứ và các nước lớn. 9Nếu tiên tri được ứng nghiệm, thì sẽ biết tiên tri đó là thật bởi Ðức Giê-hô-va sai đến! 10Tiên tri Ha-na-nia bèn cất cái ách khỏi cổ tiên tri Giê-rê-mi, và bẻ đi. 11Ðoạn, Ha-na-nia nói trước mặt cả dân sự rằng: Ðức Giê-hô-va phán như vầy: Trong hai năm trọn, ta cũng sẽ bẻ cái ách của Nê-bu-cát-nết-sa, vua Ba-by-lôn, khỏi cổ mọi nước như vầy. Tiên tri Giê-rê-mi bèn đi. 12Sai khi tiên tri Ha-na-nia đã cất cái ách khỏi cổ Giê-rê-mi, thì có lời Ðức Giê-hô-va phán cùng Giê-rê-mi như vầy: 13Ngươi khá đi nói với Ha-na-nia rằng: Ðức Giê-hô-va phán như vầy: Ngươi đã bẻ ách bằng săng: song làm ách bằng sắt mà thế lại. 14Vì Ðức Giê-hô-va vạn quân, Ðức Chúa Trời của Y-sơ-ra-ên, phán như vầy: Ta đã để ách bằng sắt trên cổ mọi nước nầy, đặng chúng nó phải làm tôi Nê-bu-cát-nết-sa, vua Ba-by-lôn. Vả, chúng nó phải làm tôi người, và ta đã ban các loài thú đồng cho người nữa. 15Ðoạn, tiên tri Giê-rê-mi nói với tiên tri Ha-na-nia rằng: Hỡi Ha-na-nia, hãy nghe! Ðức Giê-hô-va chưa hề sai ngươi, nhưng ngươi làm cho dân nầy trông cậy sự giả dối. 16Vậy nên, Ðức Giê-hô-va phán như vầy: Nầy, ta sẽ duồng ngươi khỏi mặt đất, năm nay ngươi sẽ chết vì đã nói ra sự bạn nghịch Ðức Giê-hô-va. 17Cũng năm ấy, tháng bảy, thì tiên tri Ha-na-nia chết.
1That same year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fourth year, in the fifth month, Hananiah the son of Azzur, the prophet, who was of Gibeon, spoke to me in Yahweh’s house, in the presence of the priests and of all the people, saying, 2Thus speaks Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, saying, I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon. 3Within two full years will I bring again into this place all the vessels of Yahweh’s house, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took away from this place, and carried to Babylon: 4and I will bring again to this place Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, with all the captives of Judah, who went to Babylon, says Yahweh; for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon. 5Then the prophet Jeremiah said to the prophet Hananiah in the presence of the priests, and in the presence of all the people who stood in Yahweh’s house, 6even the prophet Jeremiah said, Amen: Yahweh do so; Yahweh perform your words which you have prophesied, to bring again the vessels of Yahweh’s house, and all them of the captivity, from Babylon to this place. 7Nevertheless hear you now this word that I speak in your ears, and in the ears of all the people: 8The prophets who have been before me and before you of old prophesied against many countries, and against great kingdoms, of war, and of evil, and of pestilence. 9The prophet who prophesies of peace, when the word of the prophet shall happen, then shall the prophet be known, that Yahweh has truly sent him. 10Then Hananiah the prophet took the bar from off the prophet Jeremiah’s neck, and broke it. 11Hananiah spoke in the presence of all the people, saying, Thus says Yahweh: Even so will I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon within two full years from off the neck of all the nations. The prophet Jeremiah went his way. 12Then Yahweh’s word came to Jeremiah, after that Hananiah the prophet had broken the bar from off the neck of the prophet Jeremiah, saying, 13Go, and tell Hananiah, saying, Thus says Yahweh: You have broken the bars of wood; but you have made in their place bars of iron. 14For thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel: I have put a yoke of iron on the neck of all these nations, that they may serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and they shall serve him: and I have given him the animals of the field also. 15Then the prophet Jeremiah said to Hananiah the prophet, Hear now, Hananiah: Yahweh has not sent you; but you make this people to trust in a lie. 16Therefore thus says Yahweh, Behold, I will send you away from off the surface of the earth: this year you shall die, because you have spoken rebellion against Yahweh. 17So Hananiah the prophet died the same year in the seventh month.
1Voorts geschiedde het in hetzelfde jaar, in het begin des koninkrijks van Zedekia, koning van Juda, in het vierde jaar, in de vijfde maand, dat Hananja, zoon van Azur, de profeet, die van Gibeon was, tot mij sprak, in het huis des HEEREN, voor de ogen der priesteren en des gansen volks, zeggende: 2Zo spreekt de HEERE der heirscharen, de God Israels, zeggende: Ik heb het juk des konings van Babel verbroken. 3In nog twee volle jaren zal Ik tot deze plaats wederbrengen al de vaten van het huis des HEEREN, die Nebukadnezar, de koning van Babel, uit deze plaats heeft weggenomen, en dezelve naar Babel gebracht. 4Ook zal Ik Jechonia, den zoon van Jojakim, koning van Juda, en allen, die gevankelijk weggevoerd zijn van Juda, die te Babel gekomen zijn, tot deze plaats wederbrengen, spreekt de HEERE; want Ik zal het juk des konings van Babel verbreken. 5Toen sprak de profeet Jeremia tot den profeet Hananja, voor de ogen der priesteren, en voor de ogen des gansen volks, die in het huis des HEEREN stonden; 6En de profeet Jeremia zeide: Amen, de HEERE doe alzo! de HEERE bevestige uw woorden, die gij geprofeteerd hebt, dat Hij de vaten van des HEEREN huis, en allen, die gevankelijk zijn weggevoerd, van Babel wederbrenge tot deze plaats! 7Maar hoor nu dit woord, dat ik spreek voor uw oren, en voor de oren des gansen volks: 8De profeten, die voor mij en voor u van ouds geweest zijn, die hebben tegen veel landen en tegen grote koninkrijken geprofeteerd, van krijg, en van kwaad, en van pestilentie. 9De profeet, die geprofeteerd zal hebben van vrede, als het woord van dien profeet komt, dan zal die profeet bekend worden, dat hem de HEERE in der waarheid gezonden heeft. 10Toen nam de profeet Hananja het juk van den hals van den profeet Jeremia, en verbrak het. 11En Hananja sprak voor de ogen des gansen volks, zeggende: Zo zegt de HEERE: Alzo zal Ik verbreken het juk van Nebukadnezar, den koning van Babel, in nog twee volle jaren, van den hals al der volken. En de profeet Jeremia ging zijns weegs. 12Doch des HEEREN woord geschiedde tot Jeremia (nadat de profeet Hananja het juk van den hals van den profeet Jeremia verbroken had), zeggende: 13Ga henen en spreek tot Hananja, zeggende: Zo zegt de HEERE: Houten jukken hebt gij verbroken, nu zult gij in plaats van die ijzeren jukken maken. 14Want zo zegt de HEERE der heirscharen, de God Israels: Ik heb een ijzeren juk gedaan aan den hals van al deze volken, om Nebukadnezar, den koning van Babel, te dienen, en zij zullen hem dienen; ja, Ik heb hem ook het gedierte des velds gegeven. 15En de profeet Jeremia zeide tot den profeet Hananja: Hoor nu, Hananja! de HEERE heeft u niet gezonden, maar gij hebt gemaakt, dat dit volk op leugen vertrouwt. 16Daarom, zo zegt de HEERE: Zie, Ik zal u wegwerpen van den aardbodem; dit jaar zult gij sterven, omdat gij een afval gesproken hebt tegen den HEERE. 17Alzo stierf de profeet Hananja in datzelfde jaar, in de zevende maand.
