1Ðức Giê-hô-va phán: Khốn thay cho những kẻ chăn hủy diệt và làm tan lạc bầy chiên của đồng cỏ ta. 2Vậy nên, về những kẻ chăn giữ dân Ngài, thì Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời của Y-sơ-ra-ên phán như vầy: Các ngươi làm tan lạc bầy chiên ta, đã đuổi đi và không thăm nom đến; nầy, ta sẽ thăm phạt các ngươi về những việc dữ mình làm, Ðức Giê-hô-va phán vậy. 3Ta sẽ nhóm những con sót lại của bầy ta, từ các nước mà ta đã đuổi chúng nó đến. Ta sẽ đem chúng nó trở về trong chuồng mình; chúng nó sẽ sanh đẻ thêm nhiều. 4Ta sẽ lập lên những kẻ chăn nuôi chúng nó; thì sẽ chẳng sợ chẳng hãi nữa, và không thiếu một con nào, Ðức Giê-hô-va phán vậy. 5Ðức Giê-hô-va phán: Nầy, những ngày đến, bấy giờ ta sẽ dấy lên cho Ða-vít một Nhánh công bình. Ngài sẽ cai trị làm vua, lấy cách khôn ngoan mà ăn ở, làm sự chánh trực công bình trong đất. 6Ðương đời vương đó, Giu-đa sẽ được cứu; Y-sơ-ra-ên sẽ ở yên ổn, và người ta sẽ xưng danh Ðấng ấy là: Ðức Giê-hô-va sự công bình chúng ta! 7Ðức Giê-hô-va phán: Vậy nên những ngày đến, bấy giờ người ta sẽ chẳng còn nói rằng: Thật như Ðức Giê-hô-va hằng sống, tức là Ðấng đã đem con cái Y-sơ-ra-ên lên khỏi đất Ê-díp-tô. 8Nhưng nói rằng: Thật như Ðức Giê-hô-va hằng sống, tức là Ðấng đã đem lên và dắt dòng dõi nhà Y-sơ-ra-ên về từ phương bắc, từ các nước mà ta đã đuổi họ đến. Chúng nó sẽ ở trong đất mình. 9Về các tiên tri: Lòng ta tan nát trong ta; xương ta thảy đều run rẩy; ta như người say, như người xây xẫm vì rượu, bởi cớ Ðức Giê-hô-va và những lời thánh của Ngài. 10Trong đất đầy những kẻ tà dâm; vì cớ bị rủa sả thì đất nên sầu thảm; những đồng cỏ nơi đồng vắng đều khô khan. Người ta chạy theo đường dữ, sức chúng nó là không công bình. 11Vì chính kẻ tiên tri thầy tế lễ đều là ô uế, ta thấy sự gian ác chúng nó đến trong nhà ta; Ðức Giê-hô-va phán vậy. 12Cho nên đường chúng nó sẽ như nơi trơn trợt trong tối tăm, sẽ bị đuổi và vấp ngã tại đó. Vì đến năm chúng nó bị thăm phạt, ta sẽ giáng tai vạ trên chúng nó, Ðức Giê-hô-va phán vậy. 13Ta đã thấy rõ sự điên dại của bọn tiên tri xứ Sa-ma-ri; chúng nó nhơn danh Ba-anh mà nói tiên tri, khiến dân Y-sơ-ra-ên ta lầm lạc. 14Nhưng, nơi bọn tiên tri ở Giê-ru-sa-lem, ta đã thấy sự đáng gớm ghiếc: chúng nó phạm tội tà dâm, bước theo sự giả dối; chúng nó làm cho cứng vững tay kẻ dữ, đến nỗi chẳng ai xây bỏ sự ác của mình. Ta coi chúng nó thảy đều như Sô-đôm, và dân cư nó như Gô-mô-rơ. 15Vậy nên, về phần bọn tiên tri đó, Ðức Giê-hô-va vạn quân phán như vầy: Nầy, ta sẽ cho chúng nó ăn ngải cứu và uống mật đắng; vì các tiên tri ở Giê-ru-sa-lem đã làm cho sự vô đạo tràn ra trong cả xứ. 16Ðức Giê-hô-va vạn quân phán như vầy: Chớ nheo những lời của các tiên tri nói tiên tri với các ngươi. Chúng nó dạy cho các ngươi sự hư không, và nói sự hiện thấy bởi lòng mình chẳng phải bởi miệng Ðức Giê-hô-va. 17Chúng nó cứ bảo kẻ khinh dể ta rằng: Ðức Giê-hô-va phán, các ngươi sẽ được bình an. Lại bảo những kẻ bước theo sự cứng cỏi của lòng mình rằng: Chẳng có tai họa nào sẽ đến trên các ngươi hết. 18Vậy ai đã đứng được trong sự bàn luận của Ðức Giê-hô-va, để được ngắm xem và nghe lời Ngài? Ai đã suy xét và nghe lời Ngài? 19Nầy, cơn giận của Ðức Giê-hô-va đã phát ra như bão, như gió lốc, nổ trên đầu những kẻ dữ. 20Ðức Giê-hô-va chưa làm trọn ý đã định trong lòng, thì cơn giận của Ngài sẽ chẳng trở lại. Trong ngày sau rốt, các ngươi sẽ rõ biết sự ấy. 21Ta chẳng sai những tiên tri nầy, mà chúng nó đã chạy; ta chẳng phán với, mà đã nói tiên tri. 22Nếu chúng nó có đứng trong sự bàn luận ta, thì đã khiến dân ta nghe lời ta, và đã làm cho dân từ đường dữ việc xấu mà trở lại rồi. 23Ðức Giê-hô-va phán: Ta có phải là Ðức Chúa Trời ở gần mà không phải là Ðức Chúa Trời ở xa sao? 24Ðức Giê-hô-va phán: Có người nào có thể giấu mình trong các nơi kín cho ta đừng thấy chăng? Ðức Giê-hô-va phán: Há chẳng phải ta đầy dẫy các từng trời và đất sao? 25Ta nghe điều những kẻ tiên tri nầy nói, chúng nó nhơn danh ta mà nói tiên tri giả dối, rằng: Ta có chiêm bao; thật, ta có chiêm bao! 26Những tiên tri ấy, theo sự dối trá của lòng mình mà nói tiên tri, chúng nó có lòng ấy cho đến chừng nào? 27Chúng nó mỗi người thuật chiêm bao cùng kẻ lân cận, tưởng sẽ khiến dân quên danh ta cũng như tổ phụ chúng nó vì Ba-anh quên danh ta. 28Khi tiên tri nào có chiêm bao, hãy thuật chiêm bao ấy đi; còn kẻ nào đã lãnh lời ta, hãy truyền lại lời ta cách trung tín! Ðức Giê-hô-va phán: Rơm rạ há xen vào với lúa mì sao? 29Lời ta há chẳng như lửa, như búa đập vỡ đá sao? Ðức Giê-hô-va phán vậy. 30Vậy nên Ðức Giê-hô-va phán rằng: Nầy, ta nghịch cùng những kẻ tiên tri ăn cắp lẫn nhau về lời của ta. 31Ðức Giê-hô-va phán: Nầy, ta nghịch cùng những kẻ tiên tri dùng lưỡi mình nói ra, mà rằng: Ngài phán. 32Ðức Giê-hô-va phán: Nầy, ta nghịch cùng những kẻ lấy chiêm bao giả dối mà nói tiên tri, thuật lại và lấy lời dối trá khoe khoang mà làm cho dân ta lầm lạc, nhưng ta không sai và cũng không bảo chúng nó; chúng nó cũng không làm ích gì cho dân nầy hết, Ðức Giê-hô-va phán vậy. 33Nếu dân nầy, kẻ tiên tri hay là thầy tế lễ, hỏi ngươi rằng: Gánh nặng của Ðức Giê-hô-va là gì? Khá đáp rằng: Gánh nặng gì? Ðức Giê-hô-va phán: Ta sẽ từ bỏ các ngươi. 34Còn như kẻ tiên tri, thầy tế lễ, và dân sẽ nói rằng: Gánh nặng của Ðức Giê-hô-va, thì sẽ phạt người ấy và nhà nó. 35Vậy, nầy là câu mỗi người khá hỏi kẻ lân cận mình, mỗi người khá hỏi anh em mình rằng: Ðức Giê-hô-va đã trả lời làm sao? Ðức Giê-hô-va đã phán thể nào? 36Bấy giờ chớ nói gánh nặng của Ðức Giê-hô-va nữa; vì lời của mỗi một người sẽ là gánh nặng của nó, vì các ngươi đã làm trái những lời của Ðức Chúa Trời hằng sống, của Ðức Giê-hô-va vạn quân, Ðức Chúa Trời chúng ta. 37Vậy ngươi khá hỏi kẻ tiên tri rằng: Ðức Giê-hô-va đã trả lời cho ngươi làm sao? Hay là: Ðức Giê-hô-va đã phán thể nào? 38Nhưng nếu các ngươi nói rằng: Gánh nặng của Ðức Giê-hô-va, bởi cớ đó, Ðức Giê-hô-va phán như vầy: Vì các ngươi nói lời nầy: Gánh nặng của Ðức Giê-hô-va, và ta đã sai đến cùng các ngươi đặng bảo các ngươi rằng: Chớ còn nói rằng: Gánh nặng của Ðức Giê-hô-va, 39nhơn đó, nầy, ta sẽ quên hẳn các ngươi; ta sẽ bỏ các ngươi, và thành ta đã ban cho các ngươi và tổ phụ các ngươi, xa khỏi trước mặt ta. 40Ta sẽ khiến các ngươi chịu nhơ nhuốc đời đời, hổ thẹn vô cùng, không bao gi» quên được.
1Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! says Yahweh. 2Therefore thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel, against the shepherds who feed my people: You have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them; behold, I will visit on you the evil of your doings, says Yahweh. 3I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all the countries where I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and multiply. 4I will set up shepherds over them, who shall feed them; and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall any be lacking, says Yahweh. 5Behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that I will raise to David a righteous Branch, and he shall reign as king and deal wisely, and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land. 6In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely; and this is his name by which he shall be called: Yahweh our righteousness. 7Therefore behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that they shall no more say, As Yahweh lives, who brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt; 8but, As Yahweh lives, who brought up and who led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all the countries where I had driven them. They shall dwell in their own land. 9Concerning the prophets. My heart within me is broken, all my bones shake; I am like a drunken man, and like a man whom wine has overcome, because of Yahweh, and because of his holy words. 10For the land is full of adulterers; for because of swearing the land mourns; the pastures of the wilderness are dried up. Their course is evil, and their might is not right; 11for both prophet and priest are profane; yes, in my house have I found their wickedness, says Yahweh. 12Therefore their way shall be to them as slippery places in the darkness: they shall be driven on, and fall therein; for I will bring evil on them, even the year of their visitation, says Yahweh. 13I have seen folly in the prophets of Samaria; they prophesied by Baal, and caused my people Israel to err. 14In the prophets of Jerusalem also I have seen a horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies; and they strengthen the hands of evildoers, so that no one returns from his wickedness: they have all become to me as Sodom, and its inhabitants as Gomorrah. 15Therefore thus says Yahweh of Armies concerning the prophets: Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink the water of gall; for from the prophets of Jerusalem ungodliness has gone out into all the land. 16Thus says Yahweh of Armies, Don’t listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you: they teach you vanity; they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of Yahweh. 17They say continually to those who despise me, Yahweh has said, You shall have peace; and to everyone who walks in the stubbornness of his own heart they say, No evil shall come on you. 18For who has stood in the council of Yahweh, that he should perceive and hear his word? who has marked my word, and heard it? 19Behold, Yahweh’s storm, his wrath, has gone out. Yes, a whirling storm. It shall burst on the head of the wicked. 20Yahweh’s anger shall not return, until he has executed, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days you shall understand it perfectly. 21I sent not these prophets, yet they ran: I didn’t speak to them, yet they prophesied. 22But if they had stood in my council, then had they caused my people to hear my words, and had turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings. 23Am I a God at hand, says Yahweh, and not a God afar off? 24Can any hide himself in secret places so that I shall not see him? says Yahweh. Don’t I fill heaven and earth? says Yahweh. 25I have heard what the prophets have said, who prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed. 26How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets who prophesy lies, even the prophets of the deceit of their own heart? 27who think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbor, as their fathers forgot my name for Baal. 28The prophet who has a dream, let him tell a dream; and he who has my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the straw to the wheat? says Yahweh. 29Isn’t my word like fire? says Yahweh; and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces? 30Therefore behold, I am against the prophets, says Yahweh, who steal my words everyone from his neighbor. 31Behold, I am against the prophets, says Yahweh, who use their tongues, and say, He says. 32Behold, I am against those who prophesy lying dreams, says Yahweh, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their vain boasting: yet I didn’t send them, nor commanded them; neither do they profit this people at all, says Yahweh. 33When this people, or the prophet, or a priest, shall ask you, saying, What is the burden of Yahweh? Then you shall tell them, What burden! I will cast you off, says Yahweh. 34As for the prophet, and the priest, and the people, who shall say, The burden of Yahweh, I will even punish that man and his house. 35You shall say everyone to his neighbor, and everyone to his brother, What has Yahweh answered? and, What has Yahweh spoken? 36You shall mention the burden of Yahweh no more: for every man’s own word shall be his burden; for you have perverted the words of the living God, of Yahweh of Armies our God. 37You shall say to the prophet, What has Yahweh answered you? and, What has Yahweh spoken? 38But if you say, The burden of Yahweh; therefore thus says Yahweh: Because you say this word, The burden of Yahweh, and I have sent to you, saying, You shall not say, The burden of Yahweh; 39therefore, behold, I will utterly forget you, and I will cast you off, and the city that I gave to you and to your fathers, away from my presence: 40and I will bring an everlasting reproach on you, and a perpetual shame, which shall not be forgotten.
1Wee den herderen, die de schapen Mijner weide ombrengen en verstrooien! spreekt de HEERE. 2Daarom zegt de HEERE, de God Israels, alzo van de herderen, die Mijn volk weiden: Gijlieden hebt Mijn schapen verstrooid, en hebt ze verdreven, en hebt ze niet bezocht; ziet, Ik zal over u bezoeken de boosheid uwer handelingen, spreekt de HEERE. 3En Ik zal het overblijfsel Mijner schapen Zelf vergaderen uit al de landen, waarhenen Ik ze verdreven heb; en Ik zal ze wederbrengen tot hun kooien, en zij zullen vruchtbaar zijn, en vermenigvuldigen. 4En Ik zal herderen over hen verwekken, die ze weiden zullen; en zij zullen niet meer vrezen, noch verschrikt worden, noch gemist worden, spreekt de HEERE. 5Ziet, de dagen komen, spreekt de HEERE, dat Ik aan David een rechtvaardige Spruit zal verwekken; Die zal Koning zijnde regeren, en voorspoedig zijn, en recht en gerechtigheid doen op de aarde. 6In Zijn dagen zal Juda verlost worden, en Israel zeker wonen; en dit zal Zijn naam zijn, waarmede men Hem zal noemen: De HEERE: ONZE GERECHTIGHEID. 7Daarom, ziet, de dagen komen, spreekt de HEERE, dat zij niet meer zullen zeggen: Zo waarachtig als de HEERE leeft, Die de kinderen Israels uit Egypteland heeft opgevoerd. 8Maar: Zo waarachtig als de HEERE leeft, Die het zaad van het huis Israels heeft opgevoerd, en Die het aangebracht heeft uit het land van het noorden, en uit al de landen, waarheen Ik ze gedreven had! want zij zullen wonen in hun land. 9Aangaande de profeten. Mijn hart wordt in mijn binnenste gebroken, al mijn beenderen bewegen zich; ik ben als een dronken man, en als een man, dien de wijn te boven gaat; vanwege den HEERE, en vanwege de woorden Zijner heiligheid. 10Want het land is vol overspelers, want het land treurt vanwege den vloek, de weiden der woestijn verdorren, omdat hun loop boos is, en hun macht niet recht. 11Want beiden, profeten en priesters, zijn huichelaars; zelfs in Mijn huis vind Ik hun boosheid, spreekt de HEERE. 12Daarom zal hun weg hun zijn als zeer gladde plaatsen in de donkerheid; zij zullen aangedreven worden en daarin vallen; want Ik zal een kwaad over hen brengen in het jaar hunner bezoeking, spreekt de HEERE. 13Ik heb wel ongerijmdheid gezien in de profeten van Samaria, die door Baal, profeteerden, en Mijn volk Israel verleidden. 14Maar in de profeten van Jeruzalem zie Ik afschuwelijkheid; zij bedrijven overspel, en gaan om met valsheid, en sterken de handen der boosdoeners, opdat zij zich niet bekeren, een iegelijk van zijn boosheid; zij allen zijn Mij als Sodom, en haar inwoners als Gomorra. 15Daarom zegt de HEERE der heirscharen van deze profeten alzo: Ziet, Ik zal hen met alsem spijzigen, en met gallewater drenken; want van Jeruzalems profeten is de huichelarij uitgegaan in het ganse land. 16Zo zegt de HEERE der heirscharen: Hoort niet naar de woorden der profeten, die u profeteren; zij maken u ijdel; zij spreken het gezicht huns harten, niet uit des HEEREN mond. 17Zij zeggen steeds tot degenen, die Mij lasteren: De HEERE heeft het gesproken, gijlieden zult vrede hebben; en tot al wie naar zijns harten goeddunken wandelt, zeggen zij: Ulieden zal geen kwaad overkomen. 18Want wie heeft in des HEEREN raad gestaan, en Zijn woord gezien of gehoord? Wie heeft Zijn woord aangemerkt en gehoord? 19Ziet, een onweder des HEEREN, een grimmigheid is uitgegaan, ja, een pijnlijk onweder, het zal blijven op der goddelozen hoofd. 20Des HEEREN toorn zal zich niet afwenden, totdat Hij zal hebben gedaan, en totdat Hij zal hebben daargesteld de gedachten Zijns harten; in het laatste der dagen zult gij met verstand daarop letten. 21Ik heb die profeten niet gezonden, nochtans hebben zij gelopen; Ik heb tot hen niet gesproken, nochtans hebben zij geprofeteerd. 22Maar zo zij in Mijn raad hadden gestaan, zo zouden zij Mijn volk Mijn woorden hebben doen horen, en zouden hen afgekeerd hebben van hun bozen weg, en van de boosheid hunner handelingen. 23Ben Ik een God van nabij, spreekt de HEERE, en niet een God van verre? 24Zou zich iemand in verborgene plaatsen kunnen verbergen, dat Ik hem niet zou zien? spreekt de HEERE; vervul Ik niet den hemel en de aarde? spreekt de HEERE. 25Ik heb gehoord, wat de profeten zeggen, die in Mijn Naam leugen profeteren, zeggende: Ik heb gedroomd, ik heb gedroomd. 26Hoe lang? Is er dan een droom in het hart der profeten, die de leugen profeteren? Ja, het zijn profeten van huns harten bedriegerij. 27Die daar denken om Mijn volk Mijn Naam te doen vergeten, door hun dromen, die zij, een ieder zijn naaste, vertellen; gelijk als hun vaders Mijn Naam vergeten hebben door Baal. 28De profeet, bij welken een droom is, die vertelle den droom; en bij welken Mijn woord is, die spreke Mijn woord waarachtiglijk; wat heeft het stro met het koren te doen? spreekt de HEERE. 29Is Mijn woord niet alzo, als een vuur? spreekt de HEERE, en als een hamer, die een steenrots te morzel slaat? 30Daarom, ziet, Ik wil aan de profeten, spreekt de HEERE, die Mijn woorden stelen, een ieder van zijn naaste; 31Ziet, Ik wil aan de profeten, spreekt de HEERE, die hun tong nemen, en spreken: Hij heeft het gesproken; 32Ziet, Ik wil aan degenen, die valse dromen profeteren, spreekt de HEERE, en vertellen die, en verleiden Mijn volk met hun leugenen en met hun lichtvaardigheid; daar Ik hen niet gezonden, en hun niets bevolen heb, en zij dit volk gans geen nut doen, spreekt de HEERE. 33Wanneer dan dit volk, of een profeet, of priester u vragen zal, zeggende: Wat is des HEEREN last? Zo zult gij tot hen zeggen: Wat last? Dat Ik ulieden verlaten zal, spreekt de HEERE. 34En aangaande den profeet, of den priester, of het volk, dat zeggen zal: Des HEEREN last; dat Ik bezoeking zal doen over dien man en over zijn huis. 35Aldus zult gijlieden zeggen, een iegelijk tot zijn naaste, en een iegelijk tot zijn broeder: Wat heeft de HEERE geantwoord, en wat heeft de HEERE gesproken? 36Maar des HEEREN last zult gij niet meer gedenken; want een iegelijk zal zijn eigen woord een last zijn, dewijl gij verkeert de woorden van den levenden God, den HEERE der heirscharen, onzen God. 37Aldus zult gij zeggen tot den profeet: Wat heeft u de HEERE geantwoord en wat heeft de HEERE gesproken? 38Maar dewijl gij zegt: Des HEEREN last; daarom, zo zegt de HEERE: Omdat gij dit woord zegt: Des HEEREN last, daar Ik tot u gezonden heb, zeggende: Gij zult niet zeggen: Des HEEREN last; 39Daarom, ziet, Ik zal u ook ganselijk vergeten, en u, mitsgaders de stad, die Ik u en uw vaderen gegeven heb, van Mijn aangezicht laten varen. 40En Ik zal u eeuwige smaadheid aandoen, en eeuwige schande, die niet zal worden vergeten.
