1Kami ay nagpapasalamat sa iyo, Oh Dios: kami ay nagpapasalamat, sapagka't ang iyong pangalan ay malapit: isinasaysay ng mga tao ang iyong mga kagilagilalas na gawa. 2Pagka aking nakamtan ang takdang kapanahunan, hahatol ako ng matuwid. 3Ang lupa at lahat na tagarito ay natutunaw: aking itinayo ang mga haligi niyaon. (Selah) 4Aking sinabi sa hambog, Huwag kang gumawang may kahambugan: at sa masama, Huwag kang magtaas ng sungay: 5Huwag mong itaas ang iyong sungay ng mataas; huwag kang magsalitang may matigas na ulo. 6Sapagka't hindi man mula sa silanganan, o mula man sa kalunuran, o mula man sa timugan, ang pagkataas. 7Kundi ang Dios ay siyang hukom: kaniyang ibinababa ang isa, at itinataas ang isa. 8Sapagka't sa kamay ng Panginoon ay may isang saro, at ang alak ay bumubula; puno ng pagkakahalohalo, at kaniyang inililiguwak din: tunay na ibubuhos ng lahat na masama sa lupa ang latak, at iinumin. 9Nguni't aking ipahahayag magpakailan man, ako'y aawit ng mga kapurihan sa Dios ni Jacob. 10Lahat ng mga sungay naman ng masama ay aking ihihiwalay; nguni't ang mga sungay ng matuwid ay matataas.

1We give thanks to you, God. We give thanks, for your Name is near. Men tell about your wondrous works. 2When I choose the appointed time, I will judge blamelessly. 3The earth and all its inhabitants quake. I firmly hold its pillars. Selah. 4I said to the arrogant, “Don’t boast!” I said to the wicked, “Don’t lift up the horn. 5Don’t lift up your horn on high. Don’t speak with a stiff neck.” 6For neither from the east, nor from the west, nor yet from the south, comes exaltation. 7But God is the judge. He puts down one, and lifts up another. 8For in the hand of Yahweh there is a cup, full of foaming wine mixed with spices. He pours it out. Indeed the wicked of the earth drink and drink it to its very dregs. 9But I will declare this forever: I will sing praises to the God of Jacob. 10I will cut off all the horns of the wicked, but the horns of the righteous shall be lifted up.

1Voor den opperzangmeester, Altascheth; een psalm, een lied, voor Asaf. 2Wij loven U, o God; wij loven, dat Uw Naam nabij is; men vertelt Uw wonderen. 3Als ik het bestemde ambt zal ontvangen hebben, zo zal ik gans recht richten. 4Het land en al zijn inwoners waren versmolten; maar ik heb zijn pilaren vastgemaakt. Sela. 5Ik heb gezegd tot de onzinnigen: Weest niet onzinnig; en tot de goddelozen: Verhoogt den hoorn niet. 6Verhoogt uw hoorn niet omhoog; spreekt niet met stijven hals. 7Want het verhogen komt niet uit het oosten, noch uit het westen, noch uit de woestijn; 8Maar God is Rechter; Hij vernedert dezen, en verhoogt genen. 9Want in des HEEREN hand is een beker, en de wijn is beroerd, vol van mengeling, en Hij schenkt daaruit; doch alle goddelozen der aarde zullen zijn droesemen uitzuigende drinken. 10En ik zal het in eeuwigheid verkondigen; ik zal den God Jakobs psalmzingen. En ik zal alle hoornen der goddelozen afhouwen; de hoornen des rechtvaardigen zullen verhoogd worden.
