1In quello stesso anno, al principio del regno di Sedekia, re di Giuda, l’anno quarto, il quinto mese, Anania, figliuolo di Azzur, profeta, ch’era di Gabaon, mi parlò nella casa dell’Eterno, in presenza dei sacerdoti e di tutto il popolo, dicendo: 2"Così parla l’Eterno degli eserciti, l’Iddio d’Israele: Io spezzo il giogo del re di Babilonia. 3Entro due anni, io farò tornare in questo luogo tutti gli arredi della casa dell’Eterno, che Nebucadnetsar, re di Babilonia, ha tolti da questo luogo e ha portati a Babilonia; 4e ricondurrò in questo luogo, dice l’Eterno, Jeconia, figliuolo di Joiakim, re di Giuda, e tutti que’ di Giuda che sono stati menati in cattività in Babilonia; perché spezzerò il giogo del re di Babilonia". 5E il profeta Geremia rispose al profeta Anania in presenza de’ sacerdoti e in presenza di tutto il popolo che si trovava nella casa dell’Eterno. 6Il profeta Geremia disse: "Amen! Così faccia l’Eterno! L’Eterno mandi ad effetto quel che tu hai profetizzato, e faccia tornare da Babilonia in questo luogo gli arredi della casa dell’Eterno e tutti quelli che sono stati menati in cattività! 7Però, ascolta ora questa parola che io pronunzio in presenza tua e in presenza di tutto il popolo. 8I profeti che apparvero prima di me e prima di te fin dai tempi antichi, profetarono contro molti paesi e contro grandi regni la guerra, la fame, la peste. 9Quanto al profeta che profetizza la pace, allorché si sarà adempiuta la sua parola, egli sarà riconosciuto come un vero mandato dall’Eterno". 10Allora il profeta Anania prese il giogo di sul collo del profeta Geremia e lo spezzò. 11E Anania parlò in presenza di tutto il popolo, e disse: "Così parla l’Eterno: In questo modo io spezzerò il giogo di Nebucadnetsar, re di Babilonia, di sul collo di tutte le nazioni, entro lo spazio di due anni". E il profeta Geremia se ne andò. 12Allora la parola dell’Eterno fu rivolta a Geremia, dopo che il profeta Anania ebbe spezzato il giogo di sul collo del profeta Geremia, e disse: 13"Va’, e di’ ad Anania: Così parla l’Eterno: Tu hai spezzato un giogo di legno, ma hai fatto, invece di quello, un giogo di ferro. 14Poiché così parla l’Eterno degli eserciti, l’Iddio d’Israele: Io metto un giogo di ferro su collo di tutte queste nazioni perché siano assoggettate a Nebucadnetsar, re di Babilonia; ed esse gli saranno assoggettate; e gli do pure gli animali della campagna". 15E il profeta Geremia disse al profeta Anania: "Ascolta, Anania! L’Eterno non t’ha mandato, e tu hai indotto questo popolo a confidar nella menzogna. 16Perciò, così parla l’Eterno: Ecco, io ti scaccio di sulla faccia della terra: quest’anno morrai, perché hai parlato di ribellione contro l’Eterno". 17E il profeta Anania morì quello stesso anno, nel settimo mese.
1That same year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fourth year, in the fifth month, Hananiah the son of Azzur, the prophet, who was of Gibeon, spoke to me in Yahweh’s house, in the presence of the priests and of all the people, saying, 2Thus speaks Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, saying, I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon. 3Within two full years will I bring again into this place all the vessels of Yahweh’s house, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took away from this place, and carried to Babylon: 4and I will bring again to this place Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, with all the captives of Judah, who went to Babylon, says Yahweh; for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon. 5Then the prophet Jeremiah said to the prophet Hananiah in the presence of the priests, and in the presence of all the people who stood in Yahweh’s house, 6even the prophet Jeremiah said, Amen: Yahweh do so; Yahweh perform your words which you have prophesied, to bring again the vessels of Yahweh’s house, and all them of the captivity, from Babylon to this place. 7Nevertheless hear you now this word that I speak in your ears, and in the ears of all the people: 8The prophets who have been before me and before you of old prophesied against many countries, and against great kingdoms, of war, and of evil, and of pestilence. 9The prophet who prophesies of peace, when the word of the prophet shall happen, then shall the prophet be known, that Yahweh has truly sent him. 10Then Hananiah the prophet took the bar from off the prophet Jeremiah’s neck, and broke it. 11Hananiah spoke in the presence of all the people, saying, Thus says Yahweh: Even so will I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon within two full years from off the neck of all the nations. The prophet Jeremiah went his way. 12Then Yahweh’s word came to Jeremiah, after that Hananiah the prophet had broken the bar from off the neck of the prophet Jeremiah, saying, 13Go, and tell Hananiah, saying, Thus says Yahweh: You have broken the bars of wood; but you have made in their place bars of iron. 14For thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel: I have put a yoke of iron on the neck of all these nations, that they may serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and they shall serve him: and I have given him the animals of the field also. 15Then the prophet Jeremiah said to Hananiah the prophet, Hear now, Hananiah: Yahweh has not sent you; but you make this people to trust in a lie. 16Therefore thus says Yahweh, Behold, I will send you away from off the surface of the earth: this year you shall die, because you have spoken rebellion against Yahweh. 17So Hananiah the prophet died the same year in the seventh month.
1Voorts geschiedde het in hetzelfde jaar, in het begin des koninkrijks van Zedekia, koning van Juda, in het vierde jaar, in de vijfde maand, dat Hananja, zoon van Azur, de profeet, die van Gibeon was, tot mij sprak, in het huis des HEEREN, voor de ogen der priesteren en des gansen volks, zeggende: 2Zo spreekt de HEERE der heirscharen, de God Israels, zeggende: Ik heb het juk des konings van Babel verbroken. 3In nog twee volle jaren zal Ik tot deze plaats wederbrengen al de vaten van het huis des HEEREN, die Nebukadnezar, de koning van Babel, uit deze plaats heeft weggenomen, en dezelve naar Babel gebracht. 4Ook zal Ik Jechonia, den zoon van Jojakim, koning van Juda, en allen, die gevankelijk weggevoerd zijn van Juda, die te Babel gekomen zijn, tot deze plaats wederbrengen, spreekt de HEERE; want Ik zal het juk des konings van Babel verbreken. 5Toen sprak de profeet Jeremia tot den profeet Hananja, voor de ogen der priesteren, en voor de ogen des gansen volks, die in het huis des HEEREN stonden; 6En de profeet Jeremia zeide: Amen, de HEERE doe alzo! de HEERE bevestige uw woorden, die gij geprofeteerd hebt, dat Hij de vaten van des HEEREN huis, en allen, die gevankelijk zijn weggevoerd, van Babel wederbrenge tot deze plaats! 7Maar hoor nu dit woord, dat ik spreek voor uw oren, en voor de oren des gansen volks: 8De profeten, die voor mij en voor u van ouds geweest zijn, die hebben tegen veel landen en tegen grote koninkrijken geprofeteerd, van krijg, en van kwaad, en van pestilentie. 9De profeet, die geprofeteerd zal hebben van vrede, als het woord van dien profeet komt, dan zal die profeet bekend worden, dat hem de HEERE in der waarheid gezonden heeft. 10Toen nam de profeet Hananja het juk van den hals van den profeet Jeremia, en verbrak het. 11En Hananja sprak voor de ogen des gansen volks, zeggende: Zo zegt de HEERE: Alzo zal Ik verbreken het juk van Nebukadnezar, den koning van Babel, in nog twee volle jaren, van den hals al der volken. En de profeet Jeremia ging zijns weegs. 12Doch des HEEREN woord geschiedde tot Jeremia (nadat de profeet Hananja het juk van den hals van den profeet Jeremia verbroken had), zeggende: 13Ga henen en spreek tot Hananja, zeggende: Zo zegt de HEERE: Houten jukken hebt gij verbroken, nu zult gij in plaats van die ijzeren jukken maken. 14Want zo zegt de HEERE der heirscharen, de God Israels: Ik heb een ijzeren juk gedaan aan den hals van al deze volken, om Nebukadnezar, den koning van Babel, te dienen, en zij zullen hem dienen; ja, Ik heb hem ook het gedierte des velds gegeven. 15En de profeet Jeremia zeide tot den profeet Hananja: Hoor nu, Hananja! de HEERE heeft u niet gezonden, maar gij hebt gemaakt, dat dit volk op leugen vertrouwt. 16Daarom, zo zegt de HEERE: Zie, Ik zal u wegwerpen van den aardbodem; dit jaar zult gij sterven, omdat gij een afval gesproken hebt tegen den HEERE. 17Alzo stierf de profeet Hananja in datzelfde jaar, in de zevende maand.
