1Y ESTA es la bendición con la cual bendijo Moisés varón de Dios á los hijos de Israel, antes que muriese. 2Y dijo: Jehová vino de Sinaí, y de Seir les esclareció; resplandeció del monte de Parán, y vino con diez mil santos: á su diestra la ley de fuego para ellos. 3Aun amó los pueblos; todos sus santos en tu mano: ellos también se llegaron á tus pies: recibieron de tus dichos. 4Ley nos mandó Moisés, heredad á la congregación de Jacob. 5Y fué rey en Jeshurun, cuando se congregaron las cabezas del pueblo con las tribus de Israel. 6Viva Rubén, y no muera; y sean sus varones en número. 7Y esta bendición para Judá. Dijo así: Oye, oh Jehová, la voz de Judá, y llévalo á su pueblo; sus manos le basten, y tú seas ayuda contra sus enemigos. 8Y á Leví dijo: Tu Thummim y tu Urim, con tu buen varón, al cual tentaste en Massa, y le hiciste reñir en las aguas de la rencilla; 9El que dijo á su padre y á su madre: Nunca los vi: ni conoció á sus hermanos, ni conoció á sus hijos: por lo cual ellos guardarán tus palabras, y observarán tu pacto. 10Ellos enseñarán tus juicios á Jacob, y tu ley á Israel; pondrán el perfume delante de ti, y el holocausto sobre tu altar. 11Bendice, oh Jehová, lo que hicieren, y recibe con agrado la obra de sus manos: hiere los lomos de sus enemigos, y de los que le aborrecieren; para que nunca se levanten. 12Y á Benjamín dijo: El amado de Jehová habitará confiado cerca de él; cubrirálo siempre, y entre sus hombros morará. 13Y á José dijo: Bendita de Jehová su tierra, por los regalos de los cielos, por el rocío, y por el abismo que abajo yace, 14Y por los regalados frutos del sol, y por los regalos de las influencias de las lunas, 15Y por la cumbre de los montes antiguos, y por los regalos de los collados eternos, 16Y por los regalos de la tierra y su plenitud; y la gracia del que habitó en la zarza venga sobre la cabeza de José, y sobre la mollera del apartado de sus hermanos. 17El es aventajado como el primogénito de su toro, y sus cuernos, cuernos de unicornio: con ellos acorneará los pueblos juntos hasta los fines de la tierra: y estos son los diez millares de Ephraim, y estos los millares de Manasés. 18Y á Zabulón dijo: Alégrate, Zabulón, cuando salieres: y tú, Issachâr, en tus tiendas. 19Llamarán los pueblos al monte; allí sacrificarán sacrificios de justicia: por lo cual chuparán la abundancia de los mares, y los tesoros escondidos de la arena. 20Y á Gad dijo: Bendito el que hizo ensanchar á Gad: como león habitará, y arrebatará brazo y testa. 21Y él se ha provisto de la parte primera, porque allí una porción del legislador fuéle reservada, y vino en la delantera del pueblo; la justicia de Jehová ejecutará, y sus juicios con Israel. 22Y á Dan dijo: Dan, cachorro de león: saltará desde Basán. 23Y á Nephtalí dijo: Nephtalí, saciado de benevolencia, y lleno de la bendición de Jehová, posee el occidente y el mediodía. 24Y á Aser dijo: Bendito Aser en hijos: agradable será á sus hermanos, y mojará en aceite su pie. 25Hierro y metal tu calzado, y como tus días tu fortaleza. 26No hay como el Dios de Jeshurun, montado sobre los cielos para tu ayuda, y sobre las nubes con su grandeza. 27El eterno Dios es tu refugio, y acá abajo los brazos eternos; él echará de delante de ti al enemigo, y dirá: Destruye. 28E Israel, fuente de Jacob, habitará confiado solo en tierra de grano y de vino: también sus cielos destilarán rocío. 29Bienaventurado tú, oh Israel, ¿quién como tú, pueblo salvo por Jehová, escudo de tu socorro, y espada de tu excelencia? Así que tus enemigos serán humillados, y tú hollarás sobre sus alturas.
1This is the blessing with which Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death. 2He said, “Yahweh came from Sinai, and rose from Seir to them. He shone from Mount Paran. He came from the ten thousands of holy ones. At his right hand was a fiery law for them. 3Yes, he loves the people. All his saints are in your hand. They sat down at your feet. They shall put incense before you, and whole burnt offering on your altar. 11Yahweh, bless his skills. Accept the work of his hands. Strike through the hips of those who rise up against him, of those who hate him, that they not rise again.” 12About Benjamin he said, “The beloved of Yahweh will dwell in safety by him. He covers him all day long. He dwells between his shoulders.” 13About Joseph he said, “His land is blessed by Yahweh, for the precious things of the heavens, for the dew, for the deep that couches beneath, 14for the precious things of the fruits of the sun, for the precious things that the moon can yield, 15for the best things of the ancient mountains, for the precious things of the everlasting hills, 16for the precious things of the earth and its fullness, the good will of him who lived in the bush. Let this come on the head of Joseph, on the crown of the head of him who was separated from his brothers. 17The firstborn of his herd, majesty is his. His horns are the horns of the wild ox. With them he will push all of the peoples, to the ends of the earth. They are the ten thousands of Ephraim. They are the thousands of Manasseh.” 18About Zebulun he said, “Rejoice, Zebulun, in your going out; and Issachar, in your tents. 19They will call the peoples to the mountain. There they will offer sacrifices of righteousness, for they will draw out the abundance of the seas, the hidden treasures of the sand.” 20About Gad he said, “He who enlarges Gad is blessed. He dwells as a lioness, and tears the arm, yes, the crown of the head. 21He provided the first part for himself, for the lawgiver’s portion reserved was reserved for him. He came with the heads of the people. He executed the righteousness of Yahweh, His ordinances with Israel.” 22About Dan he said, “Dan is a lion’s cub that leaps out of Bashan.” 23About Naphtali he said, “Naphtali, satisfied with favor, full of Yahweh’s blessing, Possess the west and the south.” 24About Asher he said, “Asher is blessed with children. Let him be acceptable to his brothers. Let him dip his foot in oil. 25Your bars will be iron and brass. As your days, so your strength will be. 26“There is no one like God, Jeshurun, who rides on the heavens for your help, in his excellency on the skies. 27The eternal God is your dwelling place. Underneath are the everlasting arms. He thrust out the enemy from before you, and said, ‘Destroy!’ 28Israel dwells in safety; the fountain of Jacob alone, In a land of grain and new wine. Yes, his heavens drop down dew. 29You are happy, Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by Yahweh, the shield of your help, the sword of your excellency? Your enemies will submit themselves to you. You will tread on their high places.”
1Dit nu is de zegen, met welken Mozes, de man Gods, de kinderen Israels gezegend heeft, voor zijn dood. 2Hij zeide dan: De HEERE is van Sinai gekomen, en is hunlieden opgegaan van Seir; Hij is blinkende verschenen van het gebergte Paran, en is aangekomen met tien duizenden der heiligen; tot Zijn rechterhand was een vurige wet aan hen. 3Immers bemint Hij de volken! Al zijn heiligen zijn in Uw hand; zij zullen in het midden tussen Uw voeten gezet worden; een ieder zal ontvangen van Uw woorden. 4Mozes heeft ons de wet geboden, een erfenis van Jakobs gemeente; 5En Hij was Koning in Jeschurun, als de hoofden des volks zich vergaderden, samen met de stammen Israels. 6Dat Ruben leve, en niet sterve, en dat zijn lieden van getal zijn! 7En dit is van Juda, dat hij zeide: Hoor, HEERE! de stem van Juda! en breng hem weder tot zijn volk; zijn handen moeten hem genoegzaam zijn, en zijt Gij hem een Hulp tegen zijn vijanden! 8En van Levi zeide hij: Uw Thummim en Uw Urim zijn aan den man, Uw gunstgenoot; dien Gij verzocht hebt in Massa, met welken Gij getwist hebt aan de wateren van Meriba. 9Die tot zijn vader en tot zijn moeder zeide: Ik zie hem niet; en die zijn broederen niet kende, en zijn zonen niet achtte; want zij onderhielden Uw woord, en bewaarden Uw verbond. 10Zij zullen Jakob Uw rechten leren, en Israel Uw wet; zij zullen reukwerk voor Uw neus leggen, en dat gans verteerd zal worden, op Uw altaar. 11Zegen, HEERE! zijn vermogen, en laat U het werk zijner handen wel bevallen; versla de lenden dergenen, die tegen hem opstaan en hem haten, dat zij niet weder opstaan! 12En van Benjamin zeide hij: De beminde des HEEREN, hij zal zeker bij Hem wonen. Hij zal hem den gansen dag overdekken, en tussen Zijn schouders zal hij wonen! 13En van Jozef zeide hij: Zijn land zij gezegend van den HEERE, van het uitnemendste des hemels, van den dauw, en van de diepte, die beneden is liggende; 14En van de uitnemendste inkomsten der zon, en van de uitnemendste voortzetting der maan; 15En van het voornaamste der oude bergen, en van het uitnemendste der eeuwige heuvelen; 16En van het uitnemendste der aarde en haar volheid, en van de goedgunstigheid Desgenen, Die in het braambos woonde, kome de zegening op het hoofd van Jozef, en op den schedel des afgezonderden van zijn broederen! 17Hij heeft de heerlijkheid des eerstgeborenen zijns osses, en zijn hoornen zijn hoornen des eenhoorns; met dezelve zal hij de volken te zamen stoten tot aan de einden des lands. Dezen nu zijn de tien duizenden van Efraim, en dezen zijn de duizenden van Manasse! 18En van Zebulon zeide hij: Verheug u, Zebulon! over uw uittocht, en Issaschar! over uw hutten. 19Zij zullen de volken tot den berg roepen; daar zullen zij offeranden der gerechtigheid offeren; want zij zullen den overvloed der zeeen zuigen, en de bedekte verborgen dingen des zands. 20En van Gad zeide hij: Gezegend zij, die aan Gad ruimte maakt! hij woont als een oude leeuw, en verscheurt den arm, ja ook den schedel. 21En hij heeft zich van het eerste voorzien, omdat hij aldaar in het deel des wetgevers bedekt was; daarom kwam hij met de hoofden des volks; hij verrichtte de gerechtigheid des HEEREN, en zijn gerichten met Israel. 22En van Dan zeide hij: Dan is een jonge leeuw; hij zal als uit Bazan voortspringen. 23En van Nafthali zeide hij: O Nafthali! wees verzadigd van de goedgunstigheid, en vol van den zegen des HEEREN; bezit erfelijk het westen en het zuiden. 24En van Aser zeide hij: Aser zij gezegend met zonen; hij zij zijn broederen aangenaam, en dope zijn voet in olie. 25Ijzer en koper zal onder uw schoen zijn; en uw sterkte gelijk uw dagen! 26Niemand is er gelijk God, o Jeschurun! Die op den hemel vaart tot uw hulp, en met Zijn hoogheid op de bovenste wolken. 27De eeuwige God zij u een woning, en van onder eeuwige armen; en Hij verdrijve den vijand voor uw aangezicht, en zegge: Verdelg! 28Israel dan zal zeker alleen wonen, en Jakobs oog zal zijn op een land van koren en most; ja, zijn hemel zal van dauw druipen. 29Welgelukzalig zijt gij, o Israel! wie is u gelijk? gij zijt een volk, verlost door den HEERE, het Schild uwer hulp, en Die een Zwaard is uwer hoogheid; daarom zullen zich uw vijanden geveinsdelijk aan u onderwerpen, en gij zult op hun hoogten treden!
