Ησαΐας 54

1Ευφράνθητι, στείρα, η μη τίκτουσα· αναβόησον εν αγαλλιάσει και τέρπου, η μη ωδίνουσα· διότι πλειότερα είναι τα τέκνα της ηρημωμένης παρά τα τέκνα της εχούσης τον άνδρα, λέγει Κύριος. 2Πλάτυνον τον τόπον της σκηνής σου και ας εκτείνωσι τα παραπετάσματα των κατοικιών σου· μη φεισθής· μάκρυνον τα σχοινία σου και στερέωσον τους πασσάλους σου. 3Διότι θέλεις εκταθή εις τα δεξιά και εις τα αριστερά· και το σπέρμα σου θέλει κληρονομήσει τα έθνη και θέλει κάμει τας ηρημωμένας πόλεις να κατοικισθώσι. 4Μη φοβού· διότι δεν θέλεις καταισχυνθή· μηδέ εντρέπου· διότι δεν θέλεις αισχυνθή· διότι θέλεις λησμονήσει την αισχύνην της νεότητός σου και δεν θέλεις ενθυμηθή πλέον το όνειδος της χηρείας σου. 5Διότι ο ανήρ σου είναι ο Ποιητής σου· το όνομα αυτού είναι, Ο Κύριος των δυνάμεων· και ο Λυτρωτής σου είναι ο Άγιος του Ισραήλ· αυτός θέλει ονομασθή, Ο Θεός πάσης της γης. 6Διότι ο Κύριος σε εκάλεσεν ως γυναίκα εγκαταλελειμμένην και τεθλιμμένην το πνεύμα και γυναίκα νεότητος αποβεβλημένην, λέγει ο Θεός σου. 7Σε εγκατέλιπον διά ολίγον καιρόν· πλην με έλεος μέγα θέλω σε περισυνάξει. 8Εν θυμώ μικρώ έκρυψα το πρόσωπόν μου από σου διά μίαν στιγμήν· με έλεος όμως αιώνιον θέλω σε ελεήσει, λέγει Κύριος ο Λυτρωτής σου. 9Διότι τούτο είναι εις εμέ ως τα ύδατα του Νώε· επειδή, καθώς ώμοσα ότι τα ύδατα του Νώε δεν θέλουσιν επέλθει πλέον επί την γην, ούτως ώμοσα ότι δεν θέλω θυμωθή πλέον κατά σου ουδέ σε ελέγξει. 10Διότι τα όρη θέλουσι μετατοπισθή και οι λόφοι μετακινηθή· πλην το έλεός μου δεν θέλει εκλείψει από σου ουδέ η διαθήκη της ειρήνης μου μετακινηθή, λέγει Κύριος ο ελεών σε. 11Ω τεθλιμμένη, τεταραγμένη, απαρηγόρητος, ιδού, εγώ θέλω στρώσει τους λίθους σου εκ μαρμάρων πορφυρών και θέλω βάλει τα θεμέλιά σου εκ σαπφείρων. 12Και θέλω κάμει τας επάλξεις σου εξ αχάτου και τας πύλας σου εξ ανθράκων και άπαντα τον περίβολόν σου εκ λίθων εκλεκτών. 13Πάντες δε οι υιοί σου θέλουσιν είσθαι διδακτοί του Κυρίου, και θέλει είσθαι μεγάλη η ειρήνη των υιών σου. 14Εν δικαιοσύνη θέλεις στερεωθή· μακράν από της καταδυναστείας θέλεις είσθαι, διότι δεν θέλεις φοβείσθαι· και από του τρόμου, διότι δεν θέλει σε πλησιάσει. 15Ιδού, βεβαίως θέλουσι συναχθή ομού εναντίον σου, πλην ουχί δι' εμού· Όσοι συναχθώσιν ομού εναντίον σου, ένεκα σου, θέλουσι πέσει. 16Ιδού, εγώ έκαμον τον χαλκέα, όστις φυσά τους άνθρακας εν τω πυρί και εξάγει το εργαλείον διά το έργον αυτού· και εγώ έκαμον τον πορθητήν διά να καταστρέφη. 17Ουδέν όπλον κατασκευασθέν εναντίον σου θέλει ευοδωθή· και πάσαν γλώσσαν, ήτις ήθελε κινηθή κατά σου, θέλεις νικήσει εν τη κρίσει. Αύτη είναι η κληρονομία των δούλων του Κυρίου· και η δικαιοσύνη αυτών είναι εξ εμού, λέγει ο Κύριος.

1“Sing, barren, you who didn’t bear; break out into singing, and cry aloud, you who did not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife,” says Yahweh. 2“Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch out the curtains of your habitations; don’t spare: lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes. 3For you shall spread out on the right hand and on the left; and your seed shall possess the nations, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited. 4“Don’t be afraid; for you shall not be ashamed: neither be confounded; for you shall not be disappointed: for you shall forget the shame of your youth; and the reproach of your widowhood you shall remember no more. 5For your Maker is your husband; Yahweh of Armies is his name: and the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; the God of the whole earth shall he be called. 6For Yahweh has called you as a wife forsaken and grieved in spirit, even a wife of youth, when she is cast off,” says your God. 7“For a small moment have I forsaken you; but with great mercies will I gather you. 8In overflowing wrath I hid my face from you for a moment; but with everlasting loving kindness will I have mercy on you,” says Yahweh your Redeemer. 9“For this is like the waters of Noah to me; for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah shall no more go over the earth, so have I sworn that I will not be angry with you, nor rebuke you. 10For the mountains may depart, and the hills be removed; but my loving kindness shall not depart from you, neither shall my covenant of peace be removed,” says Yahweh who has mercy on you. 11“You afflicted, tossed with storms, and not comforted, behold, I will set your stones in beautiful colors, and lay your foundations with sapphires. 12I will make your pinnacles of rubies, and your gates of sparkling jewels, and all your walls of precious stones. 13All your children shall be taught of Yahweh; and great shall be the peace of your children. 14In righteousness you shall be established: you shall be far from oppression, for you shall not be afraid; and from terror, for it shall not come near you. 15Behold, they may gather together, but not by me: whoever shall gather together against you shall fall because of you. 16“Behold, I have created the smith who blows the fire of coals, and brings out a weapon for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. 17No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of Yahweh, and their righteousness which is of me,” says Yahweh.

1Zing vrolijk, gij onvruchtbare, die niet gebaard hebt! maak geschal met vrolijk gezang, en juich, die geen barensnood gehad hebt! want de kinderen der eenzame zijn meer, dan de kinderen der getrouwde, zegt de HEERE. 2Maak de plaats uwer tenten wijd, en dat men de gordijnen uwer woningen uitbreide, verhinder het niet; maak uw koorden lang, en steek uw pinnen vast in. 3Want gij zult uitbreken ter rechterhand en ter linkerhand; en uw zaad zal de heidenen erven, en zij zullen de verwoeste steden doen bewonen. 4Vrees niet, want gij zult niet beschaamd worden, en word niet schaamrood, want gij zult niet te schande worden; maar gij zult de schaamte uwer jonkheid vergeten, en den smaad uws weduwschaps zult gij niet meer gedenken. 5Want uw Maker is uw Man, HEERE der heirscharen is Zijn Naam; en de Heilige Israels is uw Verlosser; Hij zal de God des gansen aardbodems genaamd worden. 6Want de HEERE heeft u geroepen, als een verlaten vrouw en bedroefde van geest; nochtans zijt gij de huisvrouw der jeugd, hoewel gij versmaad zijt geweest, zegt uw God. 7Voor een klein ogenblik heb Ik u verlaten; maar met grote ontfermingen zal Ik u vergaderen. 8In een kleinen toorn heb Ik Mijn aangezicht van u een ogenblik verborgen; maar met eeuwige goedertierenheid zal Ik Mij uwer ontfermen, zegt de HEERE, uw Verlosser. 9Want dat zal Mij zijn als de wateren van Noach, toen Ik zwoer, dat de wateren van Noach niet meer over de aarde zouden gaan; alzo heb Ik gezworen, dat Ik niet meer op u toornen, noch u schelden zal. 10Want bergen zullen wijken, en heuvelen wankelen; maar Mijn goedertierenheid zal van u niet wijken, en het verbond Mijns vredes zal niet wankelen, zegt de HEERE, uw Ontfermer. 11Gij verdrukte, door onweder voortgedrevene, ongetrooste! zie, Ik zal uw stenen gans sierlijk leggen, en Ik zal u op saffieren grondvesten. 12En uw glasvensters zal Ik kristallijnen maken, en uw poorten van robijnstenen, en uw ganse landpale van aangename stenen. 13En al uw kinderen zullen van den HEERE geleerd zijn, en de vrede uwer kinderen zal groot zijn. 14Gij zult door gerechtigheid bevestigd worden; wees verre van verdrukking, want gij zult niet vrezen; en verre van verschrikking, want zij zal tot u niet naken. 15Ziet, zij zullen zich zekerlijk vergaderen, doch niet uit Mij; wie zich tegen u vergaderen zal, die zal om uwentwil vallen. 16Zie, Ik heb den smid geschapen, die de kolen in het vuur opblaast, en die het instrument voortbrengt tot zijn werk; ook heb Ik den verderver geschapen, om te vernielen. 17Alle instrument, dat tegen u bereid wordt, zal niet gelukken, en alle tong, die in gericht tegen u opstaat, zult gij verdoemen; dit is de erve der knechten des HEEREN, en hun gerechtigheid is uit Mij, spreekt de HEERE.
