Ησαΐας 11

1Και θέλει εξέλθει ράβδος εκ του κορμού του Ιεσσαί, και κλάδος θέλει αναβή εκ των ριζών αυτού· 2και το πνεύμα του Κυρίου θέλει αναπαυθή επ' αυτόν, πνεύμα σοφίας και συνέσεως, πνεύμα βουλής και δυνάμεως, πνεύμα γνώσεως και φόβου του Κυρίου· 3και θέλει κάμει αυτόν οξύνουν εις τον φόβον του Κυρίου, ώστε δεν θέλει κρίνει κατά την θεωρίαν των οφθαλμών αυτού ουδέ θέλει ελέγχει κατά την ακρόασιν των ωτίων αυτού· 4αλλ' εν δικαιοσύνη θέλει κρίνει τους πτωχούς, και εν ευθύτητι θέλει υπερασπίζεσθαι τους ταπεινούς της γής· και θέλει πατάξει την γην εν τη ράβδω του στόματος αυτού, και διά της πνοής των χειλέων αυτού θέλει θανατόνει τον ασεβή. 5Και δικαιοσύνη θέλει είσθαι η ζώνη της οσφύος αυτού και πίστις η ζώνη των πλευρών αυτού. 6Και ο λύκος θέλει συγκατοικεί μετά του αρνίου, και λεοπάρδαλις θέλει αναπαύεσθαι μετά του εριφίου· και ο μόσχος και ο σκύμνος και τα σιτευτά ομού, και μικρόν παιδίον θέλει οδηγεί αυτά. 7Και η δάμαλις και η άρκτος θέλουσι συμβόσκεσθαι, τα τέκνα αυτών θέλουσιν αναπαύεσθαι ομού, και ο λέων θέλει τρώγει άχυρον καθώς ο βους. 8Και το θηλάζον παιδίον θέλει παίζει εις την τρύπαν της ασπίδος, και το απογεγαλακτισμένον παιδίον θέλει βάλλει την χείρα αυτού εις την φωλεάν του βασιλίσκου. 9Δεν θέλουσι κακοποιεί ουδέ φθείρει εν όλω τω αγίω μου όρει· διότι η γη θέλει είσθαι πλήρης της γνώσεως του Κυρίου, καθώς τα ύδατα σκεπάζουσι την θάλασσαν. 10Και εν εκείνη τη ημέρα προς την ρίζαν του Ιεσσαί, ήτις θέλει ίστασθαι σημαία των λαών, προς αυτόν θέλουσι προστρέξει τα έθνη, και η ανάπαυσις αυτού θέλει είσθαι δόξα. 11Και εν εκείνη τη ημέρα ο Κύριος θέλει βάλει την χείρα αυτού πάλιν δευτέραν φοράν διά να αναλάβη το υπόλοιπον του λαού αυτού, το οποίον θέλει μείνει, από της Ασσυρίας και από της Αιγύπτου και από του Παθρώς και από της Αιθιοπίας και από του Ελάμ και από του Σενναάρ και από του Αιμάθ και από των νήσων της θαλάσσης. 12Και θέλει υψώσει σημαίαν εις τα έθνη, και θέλει συνάξει τους απερριμμένους του Ισραήλ και συναθροίσει τους διεσκορπισμένους του Ιούδα από των τεσσάρων γωνιών της γης. 13Και ο φθόνος του Εφραΐμ θέλει αφαιρεθή, και οι εχθρευόμενοι του Ιούδα θέλουσιν αποκοπή· ο Εφραΐμ δεν θέλει φθονεί τον Ιούδαν και ο Ιούδας δεν θέλει θλίβει τον Εφραΐμ. 14Αλλά θέλουσιν ορμήσει επί τα όρια των Φιλισταίων προς την δύσιν· θέλουσι λεηλατήσει και τους υιούς της ανατολής πάντας ομού· θέλουσι βάλει την χείρα αυτών επί τον Εδώμ και Μωάβ· και οι υιοί Αμμών θέλουσιν υποταχθή εις αυτούς. 15Και ο Κύριος θέλει καταξηράνει την γλώσσαν της Αιγυπτιακής θαλάσσης· και διά του βιαίου αυτού ανέμου θέλει σείσει την χείρα αυτού επί τον ποταμόν, και θέλει πατάξει αυτόν εις επτά ρεύματα, και θέλει κάμει να διαβαίνωσι με υποδήματα. 16Και θέλει είσθαι οδός πλατεία εις το υπόλοιπον του λαού αυτού, το οποίον θέλει μείνει, από της Ασσυρίας· ως ήτο εις τον Ισραήλ, καθ' ην ημέραν ανέβη εκ γης Αιγύπτου.

1A shoot will come out of the stock of Jesse, and a branch out of his roots will bear fruit. 2The Spirit of Yahweh will rest on him: the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of Yahweh. 3His delight will be in the fear of Yahweh. He will not judge by the sight of his eyes, neither decide by the hearing of his ears; 4but with righteousness he will judge the poor, and decide with equity for the humble of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth; and with the breath of his lips he will kill the wicked. 5Righteousness will be the belt of his waist, and faithfulness the belt of his waist. 6The wolf will live with the lamb, and the leopard will lie down with the young goat; The calf, the young lion, and the fattened calf together; and a little child will lead them. 7The cow and the bear will graze. Their young ones will lie down together. The lion will eat straw like the ox. 8The nursing child will play near a cobra’s hole, and the weaned child will put his hand on the viper’s den. 9They will not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain; for the earth will be full of the knowledge of Yahweh, as the waters cover the sea. 10It will happen in that day that the nations will seek the root of Jesse, who stands as a banner of the peoples; and his resting place will be glorious. 11It will happen in that day that the Lord will set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant that is left of his people from Assyria, from Egypt, from Pathros, from Cush, from Elam, from Shinar, from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea. 12He will set up a banner for the nations, and will assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth. 13The envy also of Ephraim will depart, and those who persecute Judah will be cut off. Ephraim won’t envy Judah, and Judah won’t persecute Ephraim. 14They will fly down on the shoulders of the Philistines on the west. Together they will plunder the children of the east. They will extend their power over Edom and Moab, and the children of Ammon will obey them. 15Yahweh will utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea; and with his scorching wind he will wave his hand over the River, and will split it into seven streams, and cause men to march over in sandals. 16There will be a highway for the remnant that is left of his people from Assyria, like there was for Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.

1Want er zal een Rijsje voortkomen uit den afgehouwen tronk van Isai, en een Scheut uit zijn wortelen zal Vrucht voortbrengen. 2En op Hem zal de Geest des HEEREN rusten, de Geest der wijsheid en des verstands, de Geest des raads en der sterkte, de Geest der kennis en der vreze des HEEREN. 3En Zijn rieken zal zijn in de vreze des HEEREN; en Hij zal naar het gezicht Zijner ogen niet richten; Hij zal ook naar het gehoor Zijner oren niet bestraffen. 4Maar Hij zal de armen met gerechtigheid richten, en de zachtmoedigen des lands met rechtmatigheid bestraffen; doch Hij zal de aarde slaan met de roede Zijns monds, en met den adem Zijner lippen zal Hij den goddeloze doden. 5Want gerechtigheid zal de gordel Zijner lendenen zijn; ook zal de waarheid de gordel Zijner lendenen zijn. 6En de wolf zal met het lam verkeren, en de luipaard bij den geitenbok nederliggen; en het kalf, en de jonge leeuw, en het mestvee te zamen, en een klein jongske zal ze drijven. 7De koe en de berin zullen te zamen weiden, haar jongen zullen te zamen nederliggen, en de leeuw zal stro eten, gelijk de os. 8En een zoogkind zal zich vermaken over het hol van een adder; en een gespeend kind zal zijn hand uitsteken in de kuil van den basilisk. 9Men zal nergens leed doen noch verderven op den gansen berg Mijner heiligheid; want de aarde zal vol van kennis des HEEREN zijn, gelijk de wateren den bodem der zee bedekken. 10Want het zal geschieden ten zelven dage, dat de heidenen naar den Wortel van Isai, Die staan zal tot een banier der volken, zullen vragen, en Zijn rust zal heerlijk zijn. 11Want het zal geschieden te dien dage, dat de Heere ten anderen male Zijn hand aanleggen zal om weder te verwerven het overblijfsel Zijns volks, hetwelk overgebleven zal zijn van Assyrie, en van Egypte, en van Pathros, en van Morenland, en van Elam, en van Sinear, en van Hamath, en van de eilanden der zee. 12En Hij zal een banier oprichten onder de heidenen, en Hij zal de verdrevenen van Israel verzamelen, en de verstrooiden uit Juda vergaderen, van de vier einden des aardrijks. 13En de nijd van Efraim zal wegwijken, en de tegenpartijders van Juda zullen uitgeroeid worden; Efraim zal Juda niet benijden, en Juda zal Efraim niet benauwen. 14Maar zij zullen den Filistijnen op den schouder vliegen tegen het westen, en zij zullen te zamen die van het oosten beroven; aan Edom en Moab zullen zij hun handen slaan, en de kinderen Ammons zullen hun gehoorzaam zijn. 15Ook zal de HEERE den inham der zee van Egypte verbannen, en Hij zal Zijn hand bewegen tegen de rivier, door de sterkte Zijns winds; en Hij zal dezelve slaan in de zeven stromen, en Hij zal maken, dat men met schoenen daardoor zal gaan. 16En er zal een gebaande weg zijn voor het overblijfsel Zijns volks, dat overgebleven zal zijn van Assur, gelijk als Israel geschiedde ten dage, toen het uit Egypteland optoog.
