Ησαΐας 24

1Ιδού, ο Κύριος κενόνει την γην και ερημόνει αυτήν και ανατρέπει αυτήν και διασκορπίζει τους κατοίκους αυτής. 2Και θέλει είσθαι, ως ο λαός, ούτως ο ιερεύς· ως ο θεράπων, ούτως ο κύριος αυτού· ως η θεράπαινα, ούτως η κυρία αυτής· ως ο αγοραστής, ούτως ο πωλητής· ως ο δανειστής, ούτως ο δανειζόμενος· ως ο λαμβάνων τόκον, ούτως ο πληρόνων τόκον εις αυτόν. 3Ολοκλήρως θέλει κενωθή η γη και ολοκλήρως θέλει γυμνωθή· διότι ο Κύριος ελάλησε τον λόγον τούτον. 4Η γη πενθεί, μαραίνεται, ο κόσμος ατονεί, μαραίνεται, οι υψηλοί εκ των λαών της γης είναι ητονημένοι. 5Και η γη εμολύνθη υποκάτω των κατοίκων αυτής· διότι παρέβησαν τους νόμους, ήλλαξαν το διάταγμα, ηθέτησαν διαθήκην αιώνιον. 6Διά τούτο η αρά κατέφαγε την γην και οι κατοικούντες εν αυτή ηρημώθησαν· διά τούτο οι κάτοικοι της γης κατεκαύθησαν και ολίγοι άνθρωποι έμειναν. 7Ο νέος οίνος πενθεί, η άμπελος είναι εν ατονία, πάντες οι ευφραινόμενοι την καρδίαν στενάζουσιν. 8Η ευφροσύνη των τυμπάνων παύει· ο θόρυβος των ευθυμούντων τελειόνει· παύει της κιθάρας η ευφροσύνη. 9δεν θέλουσι πίνει οίνον μετά ασμάτων· το σίκερα θέλει είσθαι πικρόν εις τους πίνοντας αυτό. 10Η πόλις της ερημώσεως ηφανίσθη· πάσα οικία εκλείσθη, ώστε να μη εισέλθη μηδείς. 11Κραυγή είναι εν ταις οδοίς διά τον οίνον· πάσα ευθυμία παρήλθεν· η χαρά του τόπου έφυγεν. 12Ερημία έμεινεν εν τη πόλει, και η πύλη εκτυπήθη υπό αφανισμού· 13όταν γείνη ούτως εν μέσω της γης μεταξύ των λαών, θέλει είσθαι ως τιναγμός ελαίας, ως το σταφυλολόγημα αφού παύση ο τρυγητός. 14Ούτοι θέλουσιν υψώσει την φωνήν αυτών, θέλουσι ψάλλει διά την μεγαλειότητα του Κυρίου, θέλουσι μεγαλοφωνεί από της θαλάσσης. 15Διά τούτο δοξάσατε τον Κύριον εν ταις κοιλάσι, το όνομα Κυρίου του Θεού του Ισραήλ εν ταις νήσοις της θαλάσσης. 16Απ' άκρου της γης ηκούσαμεν άσματα, Δόξα εις τον δίκαιον. Αλλ' εγώ είπα, Ταλαιπωρία μου, ταλαιπωρία μου· ουαί εις εμέ· οι άπιστοι απίστως έπραξαν· ναι, οι άπιστοι πολλά απίστως έπραξαν. 17Φόβος και λάκκος και παγίς είναι επί σε, κάτοικε της γης. 18Και ο φεύγων από του ήχου του φόβου θέλει πέσει εις τον λάκκον· και ο αναβαίνων εκ μέσου του λάκκου θέλει πιασθή εις την παγίδα· διότι αι θυρίδες άνωθεν είναι ανοικταί, και τα θεμέλια της γης σείονται. 19Η γη κατεσυντρίφθη, η γη ολοκλήρως διελύθη, η γη εκινήθη εις υπερβολήν. 20Η γη θέλει κλονισθή εδώ και εκεί ως ο μεθύων και θέλει μετακινηθή ως καλύβη· και η ανομία αυτής θέλει βαρύνει επ' αυτήν· και θέλει πέσει και πλέον δεν θέλει σηκωθή. 21Και εν εκείνη τη ημέρα ο Κύριος θέλει παιδεύσει το στράτευμα των υψηλών εν τω ύψει και τους βασιλείς της γης επί της γης. 22Και θέλουσι συναχθή, καθώς συνάγονται οι αιχμάλωτοι εις τον λάκκον, και θέλουσι κλεισθή εν τη φυλακή, και μετά πολλάς ημέρας θέλει γείνει επίσκεψις εις αυτούς. 23Τότε η σελήνη θέλει εντραπή και ο ήλιος θέλει αισχυνθή, όταν ο Κύριος των δυνάμεων βασιλεύση εν τω όρει Σιών και εν Ιερουσαλήμ και δοξασθή ενώπιον των πρεσβυτέρων αυτού.

1Behold, Yahweh makes the earth empty, makes it waste, turns it upside down, and scatters its inhabitants. 2It will be as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the creditor, so with the debtor; as with the taker of interest, so with the giver of interest. 3The earth will be utterly emptied and utterly laid waste; for Yahweh has spoken this word. 4The earth mourns and fades away. The world languishes and fades away. The lofty people of the earth languish. 5The earth also is polluted under its inhabitants, because they have transgressed the laws, violated the statutes, and broken the everlasting covenant. 6Therefore the curse has devoured the earth, and those who dwell therein are found guilty. Therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left. 7The new wine mourns. The vine languishes. All the merry-hearted sigh. 8The mirth of tambourines ceases. The sound of those who rejoice ends. The joy of the harp ceases. 9They will not drink wine with a song. Strong drink will be bitter to those who drink it. 10The confused city is broken down. Every house is shut up, that no man may come in. 11There is a crying in the streets because of the wine. All joy is darkened. The mirth of the land is gone. 12The city is left in desolation, and the gate is struck with destruction. 13For it will be so in the midst of the earth among the peoples, as the shaking of an olive tree, as the gleanings when the vintage is done. 14These shall lift up their voice. They will shout for the majesty of Yahweh. They cry aloud from the sea. 15Therefore glorify Yahweh in the east, even the name of Yahweh, the God of Israel, in the islands of the sea! 16From the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs. Glory to the righteous! But I said, “I pine away! I pine away! woe is me!” The treacherous have dealt treacherously. Yes, the treacherous have dealt very treacherously. 17Fear, the pit, and the snare, are on you who inhabitant the earth. 18It will happen that he who flees from the noise of the fear will fall into the pit; and he who comes up out of the midst of the pit will be taken in the snare; for the windows on high are opened, and the foundations of the earth tremble. 19The earth is utterly broken. The earth is torn apart. The earth is shaken violently. 20The earth will stagger like a drunken man, and will sway back and forth like a hammock. Its disobedience will be heavy on it, and it will fall and not rise again. 21It shall happen in that day that Yahweh will punish the army of the high ones on high, and the kings of the earth on the earth. 22They shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison; and after many days shall they be visited. 23Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed; for Yahweh of Armies will reign on Mount Zion, and in Jerusalem; and before his elders will be glory.

1Ziet, de HEERE maakt het land ledig, en Hij maakt het woest; en Hij keert deszelfs gestaltenis om, en Hij verstrooit zijn inwoners. 2En gelijk het volk, alzo zal de priester wezen; gelijk de knecht, alzo zijn heer; gelijk de dienstmaagd, alzo haar vrouw; gelijk de koper, alzo de verkoper; gelijk de lener, alzo de ontlener; gelijk de woekeraar, alzo die, van welken hij woeker ontvangt. 3Dat land zal ganselijk ledig gemaakt worden, en het zal ganselijk beroofd worden; want de HEERE heeft dit woord gesproken. 4Het land treurt, het verwelkt; het aardrijk kweelt, het verwelkt; de hoogsten van het volk des lands kwelen. 5Want het land is bevlekt vanwege zijn inwoners; want zij overtreden de wetten, zij veranderen de inzettingen, zij vernietigen het eeuwig verbond. 6Daarom verteert de vloek het land, en die daarin wonen, zullen verwoest worden; daarom zullen de inwoners des lands verbrand worden, en er zullen weinig mensen overblijven. 7De most treurt, de wijnstok kweelt, allen die blijhartig waren, zuchten. 8De vreugde der trommelen rust; het geluid der vrolijk huppelenden houdt op, de vreugde der harp rust. 9Zij zullen geen wijn drinken met gezang; de sterke drank zal bitter zijn dengenen, die hem drinken. 10De woeste stad is verbroken, al de huizen staan gesloten, dat er niemand inkomen kan. 11Er is een klagelijk geroep op de straten, om des wijns wil; alle blijdschap is verduisterd, de vreugde des lands is heengevaren. 12Verwoesting is in de stad overgebleven, en met gekraak wordt de poort in stukken verbroken. 13Want in het binnenste van het land, in het midden dezer volken, zal het alzo wezen, gelijk de afschudding des olijfbooms, gelijk de nalezingen, wanneer de wijnoogst geeindigd is. 14Die zullen hun stem opheffen, zij zullen vrolijk zingen; vanwege de heerlijkheid des HEEREN zullen zij juichen van de zee af. 15Daarom eert den HEERE in de valleien, in de eilanden der zee den Naam des HEEREN, des Gods van Israel. 16Van het uiterste einde der aarde horen wij psalmen, tot verheerlijking des Rechtvaardigen. Doch nu zeg ik: Ik word mager, ik word mager, wee mij! de trouwelozen handelen trouwelooslijk, en met trouweloosheid handelen de trouwelozen trouwelooslijk. 17De vrees, en de kuil, en de strik over u, o inwoners des lands! 18En het zal geschieden, zo wie voor de stem der vreze vlieden zal, die zal in den kuil vallen; en die uit den kuil opklimt, die zal in den strik gevangen worden; want de sluizen in de hoogte zijn opengedaan, en de fondamenten der aarde zullen beven. 19De aarde zal ganselijk verbroken worden, de aarde zal ganselijk vaneen gescheurd worden, de aarde zal ganselijk bewogen worden. 20De aarde zal ganselijk waggelen, gelijk een dronkaard, en zij zal heen en weder bewogen worden, gelijk een nachthut; en haar overtreding zal zwaar op haar zijn, en zij zal vallen, en niet weder opstaan. 21En het zal geschieden te dien dage, dat de HEERE bezoeking doen zal over de heirscharen des hogen in de hoogte, en over de koningen des aardbodems op den aardbodem. 22En zij zullen samenvergaderd worden, gelijk de gevangenen in een put, en zij zullen besloten worden in een gevangenis, maar na vele dagen weder bezocht worden. 23En de maan zal schaamrood worden, en de zon zal beschaamd worden, als de HEERE der heirscharen regeren zal op den berg Sion en te Jeruzalem, en voor zijn oudsten zal heerlijkheid zijn.
