1At nangyari nang ikapitong taon, nang ikalimang buwan, nang ikasangpu ng buwan, na ang ilan sa mga matanda ng Israel ay nagsiparoon na sumangguni sa Panginoon, at nagsiupo sa harap ko. 2At ang salita ng Panginoon ay dumating sa akin, na nagsasabi, 3Anak ng tao, salitain mo sa mga matanda ng Israel, at sabihin mo sa kanila, Ganito ang sabi ng Panginoong Dios: Kayo baga'y naparito upang sumangguni sa akin? Buhay ako, sabi ng Panginoong Dios, hindi ako mapagsasanggunian ninyo. 4Hahatulan mo baga sila, anak ng tao, hahatulan mo baga sila? Ipakilala mo sa kanila ang mga kasuklamsuklam ng kanilang mga magulang; 5At sabihin mo sa kanila; Ganito ang sabi ng Panginoong Dios: Nang araw na aking piliin ang Israel, at itaas ko ang aking kamay sa lahi ng sangbahayan ni Jacob, at pakilala ako sa kanila sa lupain ng Egipto, na iginawad ko ang aking kamay sa kanila na sinabi, Ako ang Panginoon ninyong Dios; 6Nang araw na yaon ay iginawad ko ang aking kamay sa kanila, upang ilabas ko sila sa lupain ng Egipto, na dalhin sa lupain na aking itinaan sa kanila na binubukalan ng gatas at pulot, na siyang pinakamainam kay sa lahat ng lupain. 7At sinabi ko sa kanila, Itakuwil ng bawa't isa sa inyo ang mga bagay na kasuklamsuklam sa kaniyang mga mata, at huwag kayong mangahawa sa mga diosdiosan ng Egipto; ako ang Panginoon ninyong Dios. 8Nguni't sila'y nanghimagsik laban sa akin, at hindi nakinig sa akin; hindi itinakuwil ng bawa't isa sa kanila ang mga kasuklamsuklam ng kanilang mga mata, o nilimot man nila ang mga diosdiosan sa Egipto. Nang magkagayo'y sinabi kong aking ibubuhos sa kanila ang aking kapusukan, upang ganapin ko ang aking galit laban sa kanila, sa gitna ng lupain ng Egipto. 9Nguni't ako'y gumawa alangalang sa aking pangalan, upang huwag malapastangan sa paningin ng mga bansa, na kinaroroonan nila, na sa mga paningin nila ay napakilala ako sa kanila, sa paglalabas ko sa kanila sa lupain ng Egipto. 10Sa gayo'y pinalabas ko sila mula sa lupain ng Egipto, at dinala ko sila sa ilang. 11At ibinigay ko sa kanila ang aking mga palatuntunan, at itinuro ko sa kanila ang aking mga kahatulan, na kung isagawa ng tao ay mabubuhay sa mga yaon. 12Bukod dito'y ibinigay ko rin naman sa kanila ang aking mga sabbath, upang maging tanda sa akin at sa kanila, upang kanilang makilala na ako ang Panginoon na nagpapaging banal sa kanila. 13Nguni't ang sangbahayan ni Israel ay nanghimagsik laban sa akin sa ilang: sila'y hindi nagsilakad ng ayon sa aking mga palatuntunan, at kanilang itinakuwil ang aking mga kahatulan, na kung gawin ng tao, ay mabubuhay sa mga yaon; at ang aking mga sabbath ay kanilang nilapastangang mainam. Nang magkagayo'y sinabi ko na aking ibubuhos ang aking kapusukan sa kanila sa ilang, upang lipulin sila. 14Nguni't ako'y gumawa alangalang sa aking pangalan, upang huwag malapastangan sa paningin ng mga bansa, na sa paningin ng mga yaon ay aking inilabas sila. 15Bukod dito'y iginawad ko naman ang aking kamay sa kanila sa ilang, upang huwag ko silang dalhin sa lupain na aking ibinigay sa kanila, na binubukalan ng gatas at pulot, na siyang pinakamainam kay sa lahat ng lupain; 16Sapagka't kanilang itinakuwil ang aking mga kahatulan, at hindi nagsilakad ng gayon sa aking mga palatuntunan, at nilapastangan ang aking mga sabbath: sapagka't ang kanilang puso ay nagsisunod sa kanilang mga diosdiosan. 17Gayon ma'y ang aking mata ay nagpatawad sa kanila at hindi ko sila nilipol, o ginawan ko man sila ng lubos na kawakasan sa ilang. 18At sinabi ko sa kanilang mga anak sa ilang, Huwag kayong magsilakad ng ayon sa mga palatuntunan ng inyong mga magulang, o ingatan man ang kanilang mga kahatulan, o magpakahawa man sa kanilang mga diosdiosan: 19Ako ang Panginoon ninyong Dios: magsilakad kayo ng ayon sa aking mga palatuntunan, at ingatan ninyo ang aking mga kahatulan, at inyong isagawa; 20At inyong ipangilin ang aking mga sabbath; at mga magiging tanda sa akin at sa inyo, upang inyong maalaman na ako ang Panginoon ninyong Dios. 21Nguni't ang mga anak ay nanganghimagsik laban sa akin; sila'y hindi nagsilakad ng ayon sa aking mga palatuntunan, o nangagingat man ng aking mga kahatulan upang isagawa, na kung gawin ng tao ay mabubuhay sa mga yaon: kanilang nilapastangan ang aking mga sabbath. Nang magkagayo'y sinabi ko na aking ibubuhos ang aking kapusukan sa kanila, upang ganapin ang aking galit sa kanila sa ilang. 22Gayon ma'y iniurong ko ang aking kamay, gumawa ako alang-alang sa aking pangalan, upang huwag malapastangan sa paningin ng mga bansa, na sa paningin ng mga yaon ay inilabas ko sila. 23Bukod dito'y itinaas ko ang aking kamay sa kanila sa ilang, upang pangalatin ko sila sa gitna ng mga bansa, at panabugin sila sa mga lupain; 24Sapagka't hindi nila isinagawa ang aking mga kahatulan, kundi itinakuwil ang aking mga palatuntunan, at nilapastangan ang aking mga sabbath, at ang kanilang mga mata'y nakasunod sa mga diosdiosan ng kanilang mga magulang. 25Bukod dito'y binigyan ko sila ng mga palatuntunan na hindi mabuti, at ng mga kahatulan na hindi nila kabubuhayan; 26At ipinariwara ko sila sa kanilang sariling mga kaloob, sa kanilang pagpaparaan sa apoy ng lahat na nangagbubukas ng bahay-bata, upang aking ipahamak sila, upang kanilang maalaman na ako ang Panginoon. 27Kaya't, anak ng tao, salitain mo sa sangbahayan ni Israel, at sabihin mo sa kanila, Ganito ang sabi ng Panginoong Dios: Sa ganito ma'y nilapastangan ako ng inyong mga magulang, sa kanilang pagsalangsang laban sa akin. 28Sapagka't nang dalhin ko sila sa lupain, na aking pinaggawaran ng aking kamay upang ibigay ko sa kanila, kanila ngang nakita ang lahat na mataas na burol, at lahat na mayabong na punong kahoy, at inihandog nila roon ang kanilang mga hain, at doo'y kanilang iniharap ang nakagagalit nilang handog; nagsuob rin sila roon ng kanilang pabango, at ibinuhos nila roon ang kanilang mga inuming handog. 29Nang magkagayo'y sinabi ko sa kanila, Anong kahulugan ng mataas na dako na inyong pinaroroonan? Sa gayo'y ang pangalan niyaon ay tinawag na Bama hanggang sa araw na ito. 30Kaya't sabihin mo sa sangbahayan ni Israel, Ganito ang sabi ng Panginoong Dios: Nangagpakarumi baga kayo ng ayon sa paraan ng inyong mga magulang? at kayo baga'y nagpatutot ng ayon sa kanilang mga kasuklamsuklam? 31At pagka inyong inihahandog ang inyong mga kaloob, pagka, inyong pinararaan sa apoy ang inyong mga anak, nangagpapakarumi baga kayo sa lahat ninyong diosdiosan hanggang sa araw na ito? at ako baga'y mapagsasanggunian ninyo, Oh sangbahayan ni Israel? Buhay ako, sabi ng Panginoong Dios, hindi ninyo ako mapagsasanggunian; 32At ang nagmumula sa inyong pagiisip ay hindi mangyayari sa anomang paraan, sa inyong sinasabi, Kami ay magiging gaya ng mga bansa; na gaya ng mga angkan ng mga lupain upang mangaglingkod sa kahoy at bato. 33Buhay ako, sabi ng Panginoong Dios, walang pagsalang sa pamamagitan ng makapangyarihang kamay, at ng unat na bisig, at ng kapusukan na ibinubugso, ay maghahari ako sa inyo. 34At ilalabas ko kayo na mula sa mga bayan, at pipisanin ko kayo na mula sa mga lupain, na inyong pinangalatan, sa pamamagitan ng makapangyarihang kamay, at ng unat na bisig, at ng kapusukan na ibinubuhos; 35At aking dadalhin kayo sa ilang ng mga bayan, at doo'y makikipagkatuwiranan ako sa inyo ng harapan. 36Kung paanong ako'y nakipagkatuwiranan sa inyong mga magulang sa ilang ng lupain ng Egipto, gayon ako makikipagkatuwiranan sa inyo, sabi ng Panginoong Dios. 37At pararaanin ko kayo sa ilalim ng tungkod, at dadalhin ko kayo sa pakikipagkasundo ng tipan; 38At aking lilinisin sa gitna ninyo ang mga mapanghimagsik, at ang mga nagsisisalangsang laban sa akin; aking ilalabas sila sa lupaing kanilang pinangingibahang bayan, nguni't hindi sila magsisipasok sa lupain ng Israel: at inyong malalaman na ako ang Panginoon. 39Tungkol sa inyo, Oh sangbahayan ni Israel, ganito ang sabi ng Panginoong Dios; magsiyaon kayo, maglingkod bawa't isa sa kaniyang mga diosdiosan, at sa haharapin man, kung hindi ninyo ako didinggin; nguni't ang aking banal na pangalan ay hindi na ninyo lalapastanganin ng inyong mga kaloob, at ng inyong mga diosdiosan. 40Sapagka't sa aking banal na bundok, sa bundok na kaitaasan ng Israel, sabi ng Panginoong Dios, doon ako paglilingkuran sa lupain ng buong sangbahayan ni Israel, nilang lahat: doo'y tatanggapin ko sila, at doon ko hihingin ang inyong mga handog, at ang mga unang bunga na inyong mga alay, sangpu ng lahat ninyong banal na bagay. 41Parang masarap na amoy na tatanggapin ko kayo, pagka kayo'y aking naihiwalay sa mga bayan, at napisan ko kayo mula sa mga lupain na inyong pinangalatan; at ako'y ipaari ninyong banal sa paningin ng mga bansa. 42At inyong malalaman na ako ang Panginoon, pagka kayo'y aking ipapasok sa lupain ng Israel, sa lupain na aking pinagtaasan ng aking kamay upang ibigay sa inyong mga magulang. 43At doo'y maaalaala ninyo ang inyong mga lakad, at lahat ng inyong gawa, na inyong pinagpakadumhan; at inyong kayayamutan ang inyong sarili sa inyong sariling paningin dahil sa lahat ninyong kasamaan na inyong ginawa. 44At inyong malalaman na ako ang Panginoon, pagka ako'y nakagawa na sa inyo alangalang sa aking pangalan, hindi ayon sa inyong mga masamang lakad, o ayon sa inyong mga masamang gawa man, Oh ninyong sangbahayan ni Israel, sabi ng Panginoong Dios. 45At ang salita ng Panginoon ay dumating sa akin, na nagsasabi, 46Anak ng tao, itingin mo ang iyong mukha sa dakong timugan, at magbadya ka ng iyong salita sa dakong timugan, at manghula ka laban sa gubat ng parang sa Timugan; 47At sabihin mo sa gubat ng Timugan, Iyong pakinggan ang salita ng Panginoon: Ganito ang sabi ng Panginoong Dios, Narito, aking papagniningasin ang isang apoy sa iyo, at susupukin ang bawa't sariwang punong kahoy sa iyo, at ang bawa't tuyong punong kahoy: ang maalab na liyab at hindi mapapatay, at ang lahat na mukha na mula sa timugan hanggang sa hilagaan ay masusunog sa liyab. 48At malalaman ng lahat ng tao na akong Panginoon ang nagpaalab niyaon; hindi mapapatay. 49Nang magkagayo'y sinabi ko: Ah Panginoong Dios! sinasabi nila sa akin, Hindi baga siya'y mapagsalita ng mga talinghaga?
1In the seventh year, in the fifth month, the tenth day of the month, some of the elders of Israel came to inquire of Yahweh, and sat before me. 2Yahweh’s word came to me, saying, 3Son of man, speak to the elders of Israel, and tell them, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: Is it to inquire of me that you have come? As I live, says the Lord Yahweh, I will not be inquired of by you. 4Will you judge them, son of man, will you judge them? Cause them to know the abominations of their fathers; 5and tell them, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: In the day when I chose Israel, and swore to the seed of the house of Jacob, and made myself known to them in the land of Egypt, when I swore to them, saying, I am Yahweh your God; 6in that day I swore to them, to bring them out of the land of Egypt into a land that I had searched out for them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands. 7I said to them, Cast away every man the abominations of his eyes, and don’t defile yourselves with the idols of Egypt; I am Yahweh your God. 8But they rebelled against me, and would not listen to me; they each didn’t throw away the abominations of their eyes, neither did they forsake the idols of Egypt. Then I said I would pour out my wrath on them, to accomplish my anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt. 9But I worked for my name’s sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, among which they were, in whose sight I made myself known to them, in bringing them out of the land of Egypt. 10So I caused them to go out of the land of Egypt, and brought them into the wilderness. 11I gave them my statutes, and showed them my ordinances, which if a man does, he shall live in them. 12Moreover also I gave them my Sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am Yahweh who sanctifies them. 13But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness: they didn’t walk in my statutes, and they rejected my ordinances, which if a man keep, he shall live in them; and my Sabbaths they greatly profaned. Then I said I would pour out my wrath on them in the wilderness, to consume them. 14But I worked for my name’s sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, in whose sight I brought them out. 15Moreover also I swore to them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands; 16because they rejected my ordinances, and didn’t walk in my statutes, and profaned my Sabbaths: for their heart went after their idols. 17Nevertheless my eye spared them, and I didn’t destroy them, neither did I make a full end of them in the wilderness. 18I said to their children in the wilderness, Don’t walk in the statutes of your fathers, neither observe their ordinances, nor defile yourselves with their idols. 19I am Yahweh your God: walk in my statutes, and keep my ordinances, and do them; 20and make my Sabbaths holy; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that you may know that I am Yahweh your God. 21But the children rebelled against me; they didn’t walk in my statutes, neither kept my ordinances to do them, which if a man do, he shall live in them; they profaned my Sabbaths. Then I said I would pour out my wrath on them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness. 22Nevertheless I withdrew my hand, and worked for my name’s sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, in whose sight I brought them out. 23Moreover I swore to them in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the nations, and disperse them through the countries; 24because they had not executed my ordinances, but had rejected my statutes, and had profaned my Sabbaths, and their eyes were after their fathers’ idols. 25Moreover also I gave them statutes that were not good, and ordinances in which they should not live; 26and I polluted them in their own gifts, in that they caused all that opens the womb to pass through the fire, that I might make them desolate, to the end that they might know that I am Yahweh. 27Therefore, son of man, speak to the house of Israel, and tell them, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: In this moreover have your fathers blasphemed me, in that they have committed a trespass against me. 28For when I had brought them into the land, which I swore to give to them, then they saw every high hill, and every thick tree, and they offered there their sacrifices, and there they presented the provocation of their offering; there also they made their pleasant aroma, and they poured out there their drink offerings. 29Then I said to them, What does the high place where you go mean? So its name is called Bamah to this day. 30Therefore tell the house of Israel, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: Do you pollute yourselves in the way of your fathers? and do you play the prostitute after their abominations? 31and when you offer your gifts, when you make your sons to pass through the fire, do you pollute yourselves with all your idols to this day? and shall I be inquired of by you, house of Israel? As I live, says the Lord Yahweh, I will not be inquired of by you; 32and that which comes into your mind shall not be at all, in that you say, We will be as the nations, as the families of the countries, to serve wood and stone. 33As I live, says the Lord Yahweh, surely with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with wrath poured out, will I be king over you: 34and I will bring you out from the peoples, and will gather you out of the countries in which you are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with wrath poured out; 35and I will bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and there will I enter into judgment with you face to face. 36Like as I entered into judgment with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I enter into judgment with you, says the Lord Yahweh. 37I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant; 38and I will purge out from among you the rebels, and those who disobey against me; I will bring them out of the land where they live, but they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and you shall know that I am Yahweh. 39As for you, house of Israel, thus says the Lord Yahweh: Go, serve everyone his idols, and hereafter also, if you will not listen to me; but my holy name you shall no more profane with your gifts, and with your idols. 40For in my holy mountain, in the mountain of the height of Israel, says the Lord Yahweh, there shall all the house of Israel, all of them, serve me in the land: there will I accept them, and there will I require your offerings, and the first fruits of your offerings, with all your holy things. 41As a pleasant aroma will I accept you, when I bring you out from the peoples, and gather you out of the countries in which you have been scattered; and I will be sanctified in you in the sight of the nations. 42You shall know that I am Yahweh, when I shall bring you into the land of Israel, into the country which I swore to give to your fathers. 43There you shall remember your ways, and all your doings, in which you have polluted yourselves; and you shall loathe yourselves in your own sight for all your evils that you have committed. 44You shall know that I am Yahweh, when I have dealt with you for my name’s sake, not according to your evil ways, nor according to your corrupt doings, you house of Israel, says the Lord Yahweh. 45Yahweh’s word came to me, saying, 46Son of man, set your face toward the south, and preach toward the south, and prophesy against the forest of the field in the South; 47and tell the forest of the South, Hear Yahweh’s word: Thus says the Lord Yahweh, Behold, I will kindle a fire in you, and it shall devour every green tree in you, and every dry tree: the flaming flame shall not be quenched, and all faces from the south to the north shall be burnt thereby. 48All flesh shall see that I, Yahweh, have kindled it; it shall not be quenched. 49Then I said, Ah Lord Yahweh! they say of me, Isn’t he a speaker of parables?
1En het geschiedde in het zevende jaar, in de vijfde maand, op den tienden derzelver maand, dat er mannen uit de oudsten van Israel kwamen, om den HEERE te vragen; en zij zaten neder voor mijn aangezicht. 2Toen geschiedde des HEEREN woord tot mij, zeggende: 3Mensenkind, spreek tot de oudsten van Israel, en zeg tot hen: Alzo zegt de Heere HEERE: Komt gij, om Mij te vragen? Zo waarachtig als Ik leef, zo Ik van u gevraagd worde, spreekt de Heere HEERE. 4Zoudt gij hun recht geven, zoudt gij hun recht geven, o mensenkind? Maak hun de gruwelen hunner vaderen bekend; 5En zeg tot hen: Alzo zegt de Heere HEERE: Ten dage als Ik Israel verkoos, zo hief Ik Mijn hand op tot het zaad van het huis Jakobs, en maakte Mijzelven hun in Egypteland bekend; ja, Ik hief Mijn hand tot hen op, zeggende: Ik ben de HEERE, uw God. 6Ten zelven dage hief Ik Mijn hand tot hen op, dat Ik hen uit Egypteland uitvoeren zou, in een land, dat Ik voor hen uitgespeurd had, vloeiende van melk en honig, hetwelk het sieraad is van alle landen. 7En Ik zeide tot hen: Een ieder werpe de verfoeiselen zijner ogen weg; en verontreinigt ulieden niet met de drekgoden van Egypte; Ik, de HEERE, ben uw God. 8Maar zij waren wederspannig tegen Mij, en wilden naar Mij niet horen; niemand wierp de verfoeiselen zijner ogen weg, noch verliet de drekgoden van Egypte; daarom zeide Ik, dat Ik Mijn grimmigheid over hen uitgieten zou, om Mijn toorn tegen hen te volbrengen in het midden van Egypteland. 9Doch Ik deed het om Mijns Naams wil, opdat hij niet ontheiligd wierde voor de ogen der heidenen, in welker midden zij waren; aan welke Ik Mij, voor derzelver ogen, bekend gemaakt heb, om hen uit Egypteland uit te voeren. 10En Ik voerde hen uit Egypteland, en bracht hen in de woestijn. 11Daar gaf Ik hun Mijn inzettingen, en maakte hun Mijn rechten bekend, dewelke, zo ze een mens doet, zal hij door dezelve leven. 12Daartoe ook gaf Ik hun Mijn sabbatten, om een teken te zijn tussen Mij en tussen hen, opdat zij zouden weten, dat Ik de HEERE ben, Die hen heilige. 13Maar het huis Israels werd wederspannig tegen Mij in de woestijn; zij wandelden in Mijn inzettingen niet, en verwierpen Mijn rechten; dewelke, zo ze een mens doet, zal hij door dezelve leven; en zij ontheiligden Mijn sabbatten zeer, dat Ik zeide, Mijn grimmigheid te zullen uitgieten over hen in de woestijn, om hen te verdoen. 14Maar Ik deed het om Mijns Naams wil, opdat die niet ontheiligd werd voor de ogen van die heidenen, voor welker ogen Ik hen uitvoerde. 15Evenwel hief Ik ook Mijn hand op tot hen in de woestijn, dat Ik hen niet zou brengen in het land, dat Ik hun gegeven had, vloeiende van melk en honig, hetwelk het sieraad is van alle landen; 16Daarom dat zij Mijn rechten verwierpen, en in Mijn inzettingen niet wandelden, en Mijn sabbatten ontheiligden; want hun hart wandelde hun drekgoden na. 17Doch Mijn oog verschoonde hen, dat Ik hen niet verdierf, en geen voleinding met hen maakte in de woestijn. 18Maar Ik zeide tot hun kinderen in de woestijn: Wandelt niet in de inzettingen uwer vaderen, en onderhoudt hun rechten niet, en verontreinigt u niet met hun drekgoden. 19Ik ben de HEERE, uw God, wandelt in Mijn inzettingen, en onderhoudt Mijn rechten, en doet dezelve. 20En heiligt Mijn sabbatten, en zij zullen tot een teken zijn tussen Mij en tussen ulieden, opdat gij weet, dat Ik, de HEERE, uw God ben. 21Maar die kinderen waren ook wederspannig tegen Mij; zij wandelden niet in Mijn inzettingen, en Mijn rechten namen zij niet waar, om die te doen; dewelke, zo ze een mens doet, zal hij door dezelve leven; zij ontheiligden Mijn sabbatten, dat Ik zeide, Mijn grimmigheid te zullen uitgieten over hen, volbrengende Mijn toorn tegen hen in de woestijn. 22Doch Ik keerde Mijn hand af, en deed het om Mijns Naams wil, opdat hij voor de ogen der heidenen niet zou ontheiligd worden, voor welker ogen Ik hen uitgevoerd had. 23Ik hief ook Mijn hand tot hen op in de woestijn, dat Ik hen verspreiden zou onder de heidenen, en hen verstrooien in de landen; 24Omdat zij Mijn rechten niet gedaan hadden, maar Mijn inzettingen verworpen en Mijn sabbatten ontheiligd hadden, en hun ogen achter de drekgoden hunner vaderen waren. 25Daarom gaf Ik hun ook besluitingen, die niet goed waren, en rechten, waarbij zij niet leven zouden. 26En Ik verontreinigde hen in hun giften, omdat zij door het vuur deden doorgaan al wat de baarmoeder opent; opdat Ik ze verwoesten zou, ten einde dat zij zouden weten, dat Ik de HEERE ben. 27Daarom, mensenkind, spreek tot het huis Israels, en zeg tot hen: Alzo zegt de Heere HEERE: Hiermede nog hebben Mij uw vaderen gesmaad, dat zij door overtreding tegen Mij overtreden hebben. 28Als Ik hen in het land gebracht had, over hetwelk Ik Mijn hand opgeheven had, om hetzelve hun te geven, zo zagen zij naar allen hogen heuvel, en alle dicht geboomte, en offerden daar hun offeren, en gaven daar hun tergende offeranden, en daar zetten zij hun liefelijken reuk, en daar offerden zij hun drankofferen. 29En Ik zeide tot hen: Wat is die hoogte, waarhenen gij gaat? Nochtans is de naam daarvan genoemd hoogte, tot op dezen dag toe. 30Daarom zeg tot het huis Israels: Alzo zegt de Heere HEERE: Zijt gij verontreinigd geworden in den weg uwer vaderen, en hoereert gij achter hun verfoeiselen? 31Ja, met het offeren uwer gaven, met uw kinderen door het vuur te doen doorgaan, zijt gij verontreinigd aan al uw drekgoden tot op dezen dag toe; en zou Ik van u gevraagd worden, o huis Israels? Zo waarachtig als Ik leef, spreekt de Heere HEERE, zo Ik van u gevraagd worde! 32Daarom, dat in uw geest opgeklommen is, zal geenszins geschieden, dat gij zegt: Wij zullen als de heidenen en als de geslachten der landen zijn, dienende hout en steen. 33Zo waarachtig als Ik leef, spreekt de Heere HEERE: Zo Ik niet met een sterke hand, en uitgestrekten arm, en met een uitgegoten grimmigheid over u zal regeren! 34Want Ik zal u uit de volken voeren, en u vergaderen uit de landen, waarin gij verstrooid zijt, door een sterke hand, en door een uitgestrekten arm, en door een uitgegoten grimmigheid. 35Daartoe zal Ik u brengen in de woestijn der volken, en Ik zal met u aldaar rechten, aangezicht aan aangezicht; 36Gelijk als Ik gerecht heb met uw vaderen in de woestijn van Egypteland, alzo zal Ik met u rechten, spreekt de Heere HEERE. 37En Ik zal ulieden onder de roede doen doorgaan, en Ik zal u brengen onder den band des verbonds. 38Daartoe zal Ik, die rebel zijn, en die tegen Mij overtreden, uit ulieden uitzuiveren; Ik zal hen uit het land hunner vreemdelingschappen uitvoeren, en zij zullen in het landschap Israels niet weder komen, en gij zult weten, dat Ik de HEERE ben. 39En gijlieden, o huis Israels, alzo zegt de Heere HEERE: Gaat henen, dient een ieder zijn drekgoden, ook hierna, dewijl gijlieden naar Mij niet hoort; doch ontheiligt niet meer Mijn heiligen Naam, met uw giften en met uw drekgoden. 40Want op Mijn heiligen berg, op den hogen berg Israels, spreekt de Heere HEERE, daar zal Mij het ganse huis Israels in het land dienen, zij allen; daar zal Ik welgevallen aan hen nemen, en daar zal Ik uw hefofferen eisen, en de eerstelingen uwer heffingen met al uw geheiligde dingen. 41Ik zal een welgevallen aan ulieden nemen om den liefelijken reuk, wanneer Ik u van de volken uitvoeren, en u vergaderen zal uit de landen, in dewelke gij zult verstrooid zijn, en Ik zal in u geheiligd worden voor de ogen der heidenen. 42En gij zult weten, dat Ik de HEERE ben, als Ik u in het landschap Israels gebracht zal hebben, in het land, waarover Ik Mijn hand opgeheven heb, om hetzelve uw vaderen te geven. 43Daar zult gij dan gedenken aan uw wegen, en aan al uw handelingen waarmede gij u verontreinigd hebt, en gij zult van u zelven een walging hebben over al uw boosheden, die gij gedaan hebt. 44Zo zult gij weten, dat Ik de HEERE ben, als Ik met u gedaan zal hebben, om Mijns Naams wil, niet naar uw boze wegen, noch naar uw verdorven handelingen, o huis Israels, spreekt de Heere HEERE. 45Verder geschiedde des HEEREN woord tot mij, zeggende: 46Mensenkind, zet uw aangezicht naar den weg van het zuiden, en drup tegen het zuiden; en profeteer tegen het woud van het veld in het zuiden. 47En zeg tot het zuiderwoud: Hoor des HEEREN woord: Alzo zegt de Heere HEERE: Ziet, Ik zal een vuur in u aansteken, hetwelk in u allen groenen boom en allen dorren boom verteren zal; de vlammende vlam zal niet uitgeblust worden, maar daardoor zullen verbrand worden alle aangezichten van het zuiden tot het noorden toe. 48En alle vlees zal zien, dat Ik, de HEERE, dat aangestoken heb; het zal niet uitgeblust worden. 49En ik zeide: Ach, Heere HEERE, zij zeggen van mij: Is hij niet een verdichter van gelijkenissen?
