1Y CONTADO todo Israel por el orden de los linajes, fueron escritos en el libro de los reyes de Israel y de Judá, que fueron trasportados á Babilonia por su rebelión. 2Los primeros moradores que entraron en sus posesiones en sus ciudades, fueron así de Israel, como de los sacerdotes, Levitas, y Nethineos. 3Y habitaron en Jerusalem de los hijos de Judá, de los hijos de Benjamín, de los hijos de Ephraim y Manasés: 4Urai hijo de Amiud, hijo de Omri, hijo de Imrai, hijo de Bani, de los hijos de Phares hijo de Judá. 5Y de Siloni, Asaías el primogénito, y sus hijos. 6Y de los hijos de Zara, Jehuel y sus hermanos, seiscientos noventa. 7Y de los hijos de Benjamín: Sallu hijo de Mesullam, hijo de Odavía, hijo de Asenua; 8E Ibnías hijo de Jeroham, y Ela hijo de Uzzi, hijo de Michri; y Mesullam hijo de Sephatías, hijo de Rehuel, hijo de Ibnías. 9Y sus hermanos por sus linajes fueron nuevecientos cincuenta y seis. Sallum era el jefe. 18Y hasta ahora entre las cuadrillas de los hijos de Leví han sido estos los porteros en la puerta del rey que está al oriente. 19Y Sallum hijo de Core, hijo de Abiasath, hijo de Corah, y sus hermanos los Coraitas por la casa de su padre, tuvieron cargo de la obra del ministerio, guardando las puertas del tabernáculo; y sus padres fueron sobre la cuadrilla de Jehová guardas de la entrada. 20Y Phinees hijo de Eleazar fué antes capitán sobre ellos, siendo Jehová con él. 21Y Zacarías hijo de Meselemia era portero de la puerta del tabernáculo del testimonio. 22Todos estos, escogidos para guardas en las puertas, eran doscientos doce cuando fueron contados por el orden de sus linajes en sus villas, á los cuales constituyó en su oficio David y Samuel el vidente. 23Así ellos y sus hijos eran porteros por sus turnos á las puertas de la casa de Jehová, y de la casa del tabernáculo. 24Y estaban los porteros á los cuatro vientos, al oriente, al occidente, al septentrión, y al mediodía. 25Y sus hermanos que estaban en sus aldeas, venían cada siete días por sus tiempos con ellos. 26Porque cuatro principales de los porteros Levitas estaban en el oficio, y tenían cargo de las cámaras, y de los tesoros de la casa de Dios. 27Estos moraban alrededor de la casa de Dios, porque tenían cargo de la guardia, y el de abrir aquélla todas las mañanas. 28Algunos de estos tenían cargo de los vasos del ministerio, los cuales se metían por cuenta, y por cuenta se sacaban. 29Y otros de ellos tenían cargo de la vajilla, y de todos los vasos del santuario, y de la harina, y del vino, y del aceite, y del incienso, y de los aromas. 30Y algunos de los hijos de los sacerdotes hacían los ungüentos aromáticos. 31Y Mathathías, uno de los Levitas, primogénito de Sallum Coraita, tenía cargo de las cosas que se hacían en sartén. 32Y algunos de los hijos de Coath, y de sus hermanos, tenían el cargo de los panes de la proposición, los cuales ponían por orden cada sábado. 33Y de estos había cantores, principales de familias de los Levitas, los cuales estaban en sus cámaras exentos; porque de día y de noche estaban en aquella obra. 34Estos eran jefes de familias de los Levitas por sus linajes, jefes que habitaban en Jerusalem. 35Y en Gabaón habitaban Jehiel padre de Gabaón, el nombre de cuya mujer era Maachâ; 36Y su hijo primogénito Abdón, luego Sur, Chîs, Baal, Ner, Nadab; 37Gedor, Ahio, Zachârías, y Micloth. 38Y Micloth engendró á Samaán. Y estos habitaban también en Jerusalem con sus hermanos enfrente de ellos. 39Y Ner engendró á Cis, y Cis engendró á Saúl, y Saúl engendró á Jonathán, Malchîsua, Abinadab, y Esbaal. 40E hijo de Jonathán fué Merib-baal, y Merib-baal engendró á Michâ. 41Y los hijos de Michâ: Phitón, Melech, Tharea, y Ahaz. 42Ahaz engendró á Jara, y Jara engendró á Alemeth, Azmaveth, y Zimri: y Zimri engendró á Mosa; 43Y Mosa engendró á Bina, cuyo hijo fué Rephaía, del que fué hijo Elasa, cuyo hijo fué Asel. 44Y Asel tuvo seis hijos, los nombres de los cuales son: Azricam, Bochru, Ismael, Seraía, Obadías, y Hanán: estos fueron los hijos de Asel.
1So all Israel were reckoned by genealogies; and behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel: and Judah was carried away captive to Babylon for their disobedience. 2Now the first inhabitants who lived in their possessions in their cities were Israel, the priests, the Levites, and the Nethinim. 3In Jerusalem lived of the children of Judah, and of the children of Benjamin, and of the children of Ephraim and Manasseh: 4Uthai the son of Ammihud, the son of Omri, the son of Imri, the son of Bani, of the children of Perez the son of Judah. 5Of the Shilonites: Asaiah the firstborn, and his sons. 6Of the sons of Zerah: Jeuel, and their brothers, six hundred ninety. 7Of the sons of Benjamin: Sallu the son of Meshullam, the son of Hodaviah, the son of Hassenuah, 8and Ibneiah the son of Jeroham, and Elah the son of Uzzi, the son of Michri, and Meshullam the son of Shephatiah, the son of Reuel, the son of Ibnijah; 9and their brothers, according to their generations, nine hundred fifty-six. All these men were heads of fathers’ households by their fathers’ houses. 10Of the priests: Jedaiah, and Jehoiarib, Jachin, 11and Azariah the son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub, the ruler of God’s house; 12and Adaiah the son of Jeroham, the son of Pashhur, the son of Malchijah, and Maasai the son of Adiel, the son of Jahzerah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Meshillemith, the son of Immer; 13and their brothers, heads of their fathers’ houses, one thousand seven hundred sixty; very able men for the work of the service of God’s house. 14Of the Levites: Shemaiah the son of Hasshub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, of the sons of Merari; 15and Bakbakkar, Heresh, and Galal, and Mattaniah the son of Mica, the son of Zichri, the son of Asaph, 16and Obadiah the son of Shemaiah, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun, and Berechiah the son of Asa, the son of Elkanah, who lived in the villages of the Netophathites. 17The porters: Shallum, and Akkub, and Talmon, and Ahiman, and their brothers (Shallum was the chief), 18who previously served in the king’s gate eastward: they were the porters for the camp of the children of Levi. 19Shallum the son of Kore, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, and his brothers, of his father’s house, the Korahites, were over the work of the service, keepers of the thresholds of the tent: and their fathers had been over the camp of Yahweh, keepers of the entry. 20Phinehas the son of Eleazar was ruler over them in time past, and Yahweh was with him. 21Zechariah the son of Meshelemiah was porter of the door of the Tent of Meeting. 22All these who were chosen to be porters in the thresholds were two hundred and twelve. These were reckoned by genealogy in their villages, whom David and Samuel the seer ordained in their office of trust. 23So they and their children had the oversight of the gates of Yahweh’s house, even the house of the tent, by wards. 24On the four sides were the porters, toward the east, west, north, and south. 25Their brothers, in their villages, were to come in every seven days from time to time to be with them: 26for the four chief porters, who were Levites, were in an office of trust, and were over the rooms and over the treasuries in God’s house. 27They lodged around God’s house, because that duty was on them; and to them pertained its opening morning by morning. 28Certain of them were in charge of the vessels of service; for by count were these brought in and by count were these taken out. 29Some of them also were appointed over the furniture, and over all the vessels of the sanctuary, and over the fine flour, and the wine, and the oil, and the frankincense, and the spices. 30Some of the sons of the priests prepared the confection of the spices. 31Mattithiah, one of the Levites, who was the firstborn of Shallum the Korahite, had the office of trust over the things that were baked in pans. 32Some of their brothers, of the sons of the Kohathites, were over the show bread, to prepare it every Sabbath. 33These are the singers, heads of fathers’ households of the Levites, who lived in the rooms and were free from other service; for they were employed in their work day and night. 34These were heads of fathers’ households of the Levites, throughout their generations, chief men: these lived at Jerusalem. 35In Gibeon there lived the father of Gibeon, Jeiel, whose wife’s name was Maacah: 36and his firstborn son Abdon, and Zur, and Kish, and Baal, and Ner, and Nadab, 37and Gedor, and Ahio, and Zechariah, and Mikloth. 38Mikloth became the father of Shimeam. They also lived with their brothers in Jerusalem, over against their brothers. 39Ner became the father of Kish; and Kish became the father of Saul; and Saul became the father of Jonathan, and Malchishua, and Abinadab, and Eshbaal. 40The son of Jonathan was Merib Baal; and Merib Baal became the father of Micah. 41The sons of Micah: Pithon, and Melech, and Tahrea, and Ahaz. 42Ahaz became the father of Jarah; and Jarah became the father of Alemeth, and Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri became the father of Moza; 43and Moza became the father of Binea; and Rephaiah his son, Eleasah his son, Azel his son. 44Azel had six sons, whose names are these: Azrikam, Bocheru, and Ishmael, and Sheariah, and Obadiah, and Hanan: these were the sons of Azel.

Dezen waren in het geslachtsregister gesteld naar hun dorpen. David en Samuel, de ziener, hadden hen in hun ambt bevestigd. 23Zij dan en hun zonen waren aan de poorten van het huis des HEEREN, in het huis der tent, aan de wachten. 24Die poortiers waren aan de vier winden, tegen het oosten, tegen het westen, tegen het noorden, en tegen het zuiden. 25En hun broeders waren op hun dorpen, inkomende ten zevenden dage van tijd tot tijd, om met hen te dienen; 26Want in dat ambt waren vier overste poortiers, die Levieten waren; en zij waren over de kameren en over de schatten van het huis Gods. 27En zij bleven over nacht rondom het huis Gods; want op hen was de wacht, en zij waren over de opening, en dat allen morgen. 28En enigen van hen waren over de vaten van den dienst; want bij getal droegen zij ze in, en bij getal droegen zij ze uit. 29Want uit dezelve zijn er besteld over de vaten, en over al de heilige vaten, en over de meelbloem, en wijn, en olie, en wierook, en specerij. 30En uit de zonen der priesteren waren de bereiders van het reukwerk der specerijen. 31En Mattithja uit de Levieten, dewelke was de eerstgeborene van Sallum, den Korahiet, was in het ambt over het werk, dat in pannen gekookt wordt. 32En uit de kinderen der Kahathieten, uit hun broederen, waren enigen over de broden der toerichting, om die alle sabbatten te bereiden. 33Uit dezen zijn ook de zangers, hoofden der vaderen onder de Levieten in de kameren, dienstvrij; want dag en nacht was het op hen, in dat werk te zijn. 34Dit zijn de hoofden der vaderen onder de Levieten, hoofden in hun geslachten; dezen woonden te Jeruzalem. 35Maar te Gibeon hadden gewoond Jeiel, de vader van Gibeon; de naam zijner zuster nu was Maacha. 36En Abdon was zijn eerstgeboren zoon, daarna Zur, en Kis, en Baal, en Ner, en Nadab. 37En Gedor, en Ahio, en Zacharja, en Mikloth. 38Mikloth nu gewon Simeam; dezen woonden ook te Jeruzalem, tegenover hun broederen, met hun broederen. 39En Ner gewon Kis, en Kis gewon Saul, en Saul gewon Jonathan, en Malchi-sua, en Abinadab, en Esbaal. 40En Jonathans zoon van Merib-baal, en Merib-baal gewon Micha. 41De kinderen van Micha nu waren Pithon, en Melech, en Thaerea. 42En Achaz gewon Jaera, en Jaera gewon Alemeth, en Azmaveth, en Zimri; en Zimri gewon Moza; 43En Moza gewon Bina; wiens zoon was Refaja; wiens zoon was Elasa; wiens zoon was Azel. 44Azel nu had zes zonen, en dit zijn hun namen: Azrikam, Bochru, en Ismael, en Searja, en Obadja, en Hanan; dezen zijn Azels zonen.
