Jesaja 34

1Alproksimiĝu, popoloj, por aŭskulti; kaj atentu, ho gentoj; aŭskultu la tero, kaj ĉio, kio ĝin plenigas, la mondo kaj ĉiuj ĝiaj produktoj. 2Ĉar indignas la Eternulo kontraŭ ĉiuj popoloj kaj flame koleras kontraŭ ilia tuta anaro; Li kondamnis ilin, eldonis ilin al buĉado. 3Kaj iliaj mortigitoj estos disĵetitaj, kaj iliaj kadavroj eligos malbonodoron, kaj la montoj trapenetriĝos de ilia sango. 4Kaj velkos la tuta estaĵaro de la ĉielo, kaj la ĉielo kuneruliĝos kiel skribrulaĵo; kaj ĝia tuta estaĵaro defalos, kiel defalas folio de vinberbranĉo kaj velkintaĵo de figarbo. 5Ĉar Mia glavo ebriiĝis en la ĉielo; jen ĝi malsupreniras sur Edomon kaj sur Mian kondamnitan popolon, por fari juĝon. 6La glavo de la Eternulo estas plena de sango, grasiĝis de sebo, de sango de ŝafoj kaj kaproj, de sebo de ŝafaj renoj; ĉar buĉoferadon la Eternulo aranĝos en Bocra kaj grandan buĉadon en la lando de Edom. 7Kaj falos bubaloj kun ili, kaj bovoj junaj kun bovoj grasigitaj, kaj ilia tero estos saturita de sango, kaj ilia polvo estos grasigita de sebo. 8Ĉar tio estas tago de venĝo de la Eternulo, jaro de repago pro la juĝafero de Cion. 9Kaj liaj riveroj aliformiĝos en peĉon kaj lia polvo en sulfuron, kaj lia tero fariĝos brulanta peĉo. 10Nek tage nek nokte ĝi estingiĝos, eterne leviĝados ĝia fumo; de generacio al generacio ĝi restos dezerta, en eterneco neniu iros sur ĝi. 11Ekposedos ĝin pelikano kaj botaŭro, kaj gufo kaj korvo loĝos sur ĝi; kaj Li etendos super ĝi rektoŝnuron de ruinigo kaj vertikalon de detruo. 12Ĝi ne havos potenculojn, kiuj povus tie proklami regnon, kaj ĉiuj ĝiaj princoj malaperos. 13Kaj en ĝiaj palacoj kreskos dornoj kaj urtikoj, kaj sur ĝiaj fortikaĵoj kreskos pikarbustoj; kaj ĝi estos loĝejo de ŝakaloj, spaco por strutoj. 14Kaj renkontiĝos tie sovaĝaj katoj kun sovaĝaj hundoj, kaj virkaproj krios unu al alia; nur strigo tie nestos kaj trovos por si ripozejon. 15Tie nestos saltanta serpento kaj metos ovojn kaj kovos kaj kolektos en sia ombro; tie milvoj kolektiĝos unu al alia. 16Serĉu en la libro de la Eternulo, kaj legu: eĉ unu el ili ne mankos, unu ne sentos foreston de alia; ĉar Lia buŝo tion ordonis kaj Lia spirito tion kolektas. 17Kaj Li mem lotumis por ili, kaj Lia mano dividis por ili laŭ rektoŝnuro; ili heredos tion por ĉiam, de generacio al generacio ili loĝos tie.

1Come near, you nations, to hear! Listen, you peoples. Let the earth and all it contains hear; the world, and everything that comes from it. 2For Yahweh is enraged against all the nations, and angry with all their armies. He has utterly destroyed them. He has given them over for slaughter. 3Their slain will also be cast out, and the stench of their dead bodies will come up; and the mountains will melt in their blood. 4All of the army of the sky will be dissolved. The sky will be rolled up like a scroll, and all its armies will fade away, as a leaf fades from off a vine or a fig tree. 5For my sword has drunk its fill in the sky. Behold, it will come down on Edom, and on the people of my curse, for judgment. 6Yahweh’s sword is filled with blood. It is covered with fat, with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams; for Yahweh has a sacrifice in Bozrah, And a great slaughter in the land of Edom. 7The wild oxen will come down with them, and the young bulls with the mighty bulls; and their land will be drunken with blood, and their dust made greasy with fat. 8For Yahweh has a day of vengeance, a year of recompense for the cause of Zion. 9Its streams will be turned into pitch, its dust into sulfur, And its land will become burning pitch. 10It won’t be quenched night nor day. Its smoke will go up forever. From generation to generation, it will lie waste. No one will pass through it forever and ever. 11But the pelican and the porcupine will possess it. The owl and the raven will dwell in it. He will stretch the line of confusion over it, and the plumb line of emptiness. 12They shall call its nobles to the kingdom, but none shall be there; and all its princes shall be nothing. 13Thorns will come up in its palaces, nettles and thistles in its fortresses; and it will be a habitation of jackals, a court for ostriches. 14The wild animals of the desert will meet with the wolves, and the wild goat will cry to his fellow. Yes, the night creature shall settle there, and shall find herself a place of rest. 15The arrow snake will make her nest there, and lay, hatch, and gather under her shade. Yes, the kites will be gathered there, every one with her mate. 16Search in the book of Yahweh, and read: not one of these will be missing. none will lack her mate. For my mouth has commanded, and his Spirit has gathered them. 17He has cast the lot for them, and his hand has divided it to them with a measuring line. They shall possess it forever. From generation to generation they will dwell in it.

1Nadert, gij heidenen, om te horen, en gij volken, luistert toe; de aarde hore, en haar volheid, de wereld en al wat daaruit voortkomt. 2Want de verbolgenheid des HEEREN is over al de heidenen, en grimmigheid over al hun heir; Hij heeft hen verbannen, Hij heeft ze ter slachting overgegeven. 3En hun verslagenen zullen weggeworpen worden, en van hun dode lichamen zal hun stank opgaan; en de bergen zullen smelten van hun bloed. 4En al het heir der hemelen zal uitteren, en de hemelen zullen toegerold worden, gelijk een boek, en al hun heir zal afvallen, gelijk een blad van den wijnstok afvalt, en gelijk een vijg afvalt van den vijgeboom. 5Want Mijn zwaard is dronken geworden in den hemel; ziet, het zal ten oordeel nederdalen op Edom, en op het volk, hetwelk Ik verbannen heb. 6Het zwaard des HEEREN is vol van bloed, het is vet geworden van smeer, van het bloed der lammeren en der bokken, van het smeer der nieren van de rammen; want de HEERE heeft een slachtoffer te Bozra, en een grote slachting in het land der Edomieten. 7En de eenhoornen zullen met hen afgaan, en de varren met de stieren; en hun land zal doordronken zijn van het bloed, en hun stof zal van het smeer vet gemaakt worden. 8Want het zal zijn de dag der wraak des HEEREN, een jaar der vergeldingen, om Sions twistzaak. 9En hun beken zullen in pek verkeerd worden, en hun stof in zwavel; ja, hun aarde zal tot brandend pek worden. 10Het zal des nachts of des daags niet uitgeblust worden, tot in der eeuwigheid zal zijn rook opgaan; van geslacht tot geslacht zal het woest zijn, tot in eeuwigheid der eeuwigheden zal niemand daar doorgaan. 11Maar de roerdomp en de nachtuil zullen het erfelijk bezitten, en de schuifuit, en de raaf zal daarin wonen; want Hij zal een richtsnoer der woestigheid over hen trekken, en een richtlood der ledigheid. 12Hun edelen (doch zij zijn er niet) zullen zij tot het koninkrijk roepen, maar al hun vorsten zullen niets zijn. 13En in hun paleizen zullen doornen opgaan, netelen en distelen in hun vestingen; en het zal een woning der draken zijn, een zaal voor de jongen der struisen. 14En de wilde dieren der woestijnen zullen de wilde dieren der eilanden daar ontmoeten, en de duivel zal zijn metgezel toeroepen; ook zal het nachtgedierte zich aldaar nederzetten, en het zal een rustplaats voor zich vinden. 15Daar zal de wilde meerle nestelen en leggen, en haar jongen uitbikken, en onder haar schaduw vergaderen; ook zullen aldaar de gieren met elkaar verzameld worden. 16Zoekt in het boek des HEEREN, en leest; niet een van dezen zal er feilen, het een noch het ander zal men missen; want mijn mond zelf heeft het geboden, en Zijn Geest Zelf zal ze samenbrengen. 17Want Hij Zelf heeft voor hen het lot geworpen, en Zijn hand heeft het hun uitgedeeld met het richtsnoer; tot in der eeuwigheid zullen zij dat erfelijk bezitten, van geslacht tot geslacht zullen zij daarin wonen.
