Jesaja 24

1Jen la Eternulo dezertigas la landon kaj ruinigas ĝin kaj ŝanĝas ĝian aspekton kaj disĵetas ĝiajn loĝantojn. 2Kaj estos al la popolo kiel al la pastro, al la servisto kiel al lia mastro, al la servistino kiel al ŝia mastrino, al la aĉetanto kiel al la vendanto, al la pruntedonanto kiel al la prunteprenanto, al la ŝuldanto kiel al la kreditoro. 3Tute dezertigita estos la lando kaj tute prirabita; ĉar la Eternulo tion diris. 4Funebras kaj velkas la lando, senfortiĝas kaj velkas la mondo, senfortiĝas la eminentuloj de la popolo de la lando. 5Kaj la tero estas malpurigita de siaj loĝantoj; ĉar ili malobeis la instruon, ŝanĝis la leĝon, detruis la eternan interligon. 6Pro tio malbeno konsumis la teron, kaj kulpiĝis tiuj, kiuj loĝas sur ĝi; pro tio forbrulis la loĝantoj de la lando kaj restis malmulte da homoj. 7Malgaja estas la mosto, sensukiĝis la vinbero, ĝemas ĉiuj ĝojintoj. 8Ĉesiĝis la gajeco de tamburinoj, malaperis la bruo de gajuloj, ĉesiĝis la gajeco de harpo. 9Oni ne trinkas vinon ĉe kantado; maldolĉa estas ebriigaĵo por siaj trinkantoj. 10Ruinigita estas la dezerta urbo; ĉiuj domoj estas fermitaj tiel, ke oni ne povas eniri. 11Oni ploras sur la stratoj pri vino; mallumiĝis ĉia ĝojo, malaperis la gajeco de la lando. 12En la urbo restis dezerteco, kaj la pordegoj disbatitaj estas ruinigitaj. 13Ĉar tiel estos meze de la lando, meze de la popoloj: kiel post fruktoskuo de olivarbo, kiel estas al la restintaj beroj post la fino de la vinberrikolto. 14Ili levos sian voĉon kaj ĝojkrios, pri la majesto de la Eternulo ili krios de la maro. 15Tial en la regionoj orientaj gloru la Eternulon, sur la insuloj de la maro la nomon de la Eternulo, Dio de Izrael. 16De la rando de la tero ni aŭdis kantadon: Gloro al la justulo; sed mi diras: Ho mi malfeliĉa, ho mi malfeliĉa, ve al mi! rabis rabistoj, kaj per granda rabado ili rabis. 17Teruro, kavo, kaj kaptilo trafos vin, ho loĝantoj de la tero. 18Kaj tiu, kiu forkuros de la voĉo de la teruro, falos en kavon; kaj kiu eliros el la kavo, trafos en la kaptilon; ĉar la aperturoj de alte malfermiĝis kaj la fundamento de la tero ekskuiĝis. 19Forte diskrevis la tero, forte dispeciĝis la tero, forte skuiĝis la tero. 20Ŝanceliĝas la tero kiel ebriulo, kaj balanciĝas kiel hamako; kaj pezas sur ĝi ĝia krimeco; kaj ĝi falis, kaj ne plu leviĝos. 21Kaj en tiu tempo punos la Eternulo la taĉmentojn de la alto en la ĉielo kaj la reĝojn de la tero sur la tero. 22Kaj ili estos kolektitaj kune, ligitaj en malliberejo, kaj ili estos enŝlositaj en ŝlositejo, kaj post longa tempo ili estos punitaj. 23Kaj ruĝiĝos la luno, kaj hontos la suno, kiam la Eternulo Cebaot ekreĝos sur la monto Cion kaj en Jerusalem, kaj Lia gloro aperos antaŭ Liaj plejaĝuloj.

1Behold, Yahweh makes the earth empty, makes it waste, turns it upside down, and scatters its inhabitants. 2It will be as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the creditor, so with the debtor; as with the taker of interest, so with the giver of interest. 3The earth will be utterly emptied and utterly laid waste; for Yahweh has spoken this word. 4The earth mourns and fades away. The world languishes and fades away. The lofty people of the earth languish. 5The earth also is polluted under its inhabitants, because they have transgressed the laws, violated the statutes, and broken the everlasting covenant. 6Therefore the curse has devoured the earth, and those who dwell therein are found guilty. Therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left. 7The new wine mourns. The vine languishes. All the merry-hearted sigh. 8The mirth of tambourines ceases. The sound of those who rejoice ends. The joy of the harp ceases. 9They will not drink wine with a song. Strong drink will be bitter to those who drink it. 10The confused city is broken down. Every house is shut up, that no man may come in. 11There is a crying in the streets because of the wine. All joy is darkened. The mirth of the land is gone. 12The city is left in desolation, and the gate is struck with destruction. 13For it will be so in the midst of the earth among the peoples, as the shaking of an olive tree, as the gleanings when the vintage is done. 14These shall lift up their voice. They will shout for the majesty of Yahweh. They cry aloud from the sea. 15Therefore glorify Yahweh in the east, even the name of Yahweh, the God of Israel, in the islands of the sea! 16From the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs. Glory to the righteous! But I said, “I pine away! I pine away! woe is me!” The treacherous have dealt treacherously. Yes, the treacherous have dealt very treacherously. 17Fear, the pit, and the snare, are on you who inhabitant the earth. 18It will happen that he who flees from the noise of the fear will fall into the pit; and he who comes up out of the midst of the pit will be taken in the snare; for the windows on high are opened, and the foundations of the earth tremble. 19The earth is utterly broken. The earth is torn apart. The earth is shaken violently. 20The earth will stagger like a drunken man, and will sway back and forth like a hammock. Its disobedience will be heavy on it, and it will fall and not rise again. 21It shall happen in that day that Yahweh will punish the army of the high ones on high, and the kings of the earth on the earth. 22They shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison; and after many days shall they be visited. 23Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed; for Yahweh of Armies will reign on Mount Zion, and in Jerusalem; and before his elders will be glory.

1Ziet, de HEERE maakt het land ledig, en Hij maakt het woest; en Hij keert deszelfs gestaltenis om, en Hij verstrooit zijn inwoners. 2En gelijk het volk, alzo zal de priester wezen; gelijk de knecht, alzo zijn heer; gelijk de dienstmaagd, alzo haar vrouw; gelijk de koper, alzo de verkoper; gelijk de lener, alzo de ontlener; gelijk de woekeraar, alzo die, van welken hij woeker ontvangt. 3Dat land zal ganselijk ledig gemaakt worden, en het zal ganselijk beroofd worden; want de HEERE heeft dit woord gesproken. 4Het land treurt, het verwelkt; het aardrijk kweelt, het verwelkt; de hoogsten van het volk des lands kwelen. 5Want het land is bevlekt vanwege zijn inwoners; want zij overtreden de wetten, zij veranderen de inzettingen, zij vernietigen het eeuwig verbond. 6Daarom verteert de vloek het land, en die daarin wonen, zullen verwoest worden; daarom zullen de inwoners des lands verbrand worden, en er zullen weinig mensen overblijven. 7De most treurt, de wijnstok kweelt, allen die blijhartig waren, zuchten. 8De vreugde der trommelen rust; het geluid der vrolijk huppelenden houdt op, de vreugde der harp rust. 9Zij zullen geen wijn drinken met gezang; de sterke drank zal bitter zijn dengenen, die hem drinken. 10De woeste stad is verbroken, al de huizen staan gesloten, dat er niemand inkomen kan. 11Er is een klagelijk geroep op de straten, om des wijns wil; alle blijdschap is verduisterd, de vreugde des lands is heengevaren. 12Verwoesting is in de stad overgebleven, en met gekraak wordt de poort in stukken verbroken. 13Want in het binnenste van het land, in het midden dezer volken, zal het alzo wezen, gelijk de afschudding des olijfbooms, gelijk de nalezingen, wanneer de wijnoogst geeindigd is. 14Die zullen hun stem opheffen, zij zullen vrolijk zingen; vanwege de heerlijkheid des HEEREN zullen zij juichen van de zee af. 15Daarom eert den HEERE in de valleien, in de eilanden der zee den Naam des HEEREN, des Gods van Israel. 16Van het uiterste einde der aarde horen wij psalmen, tot verheerlijking des Rechtvaardigen. Doch nu zeg ik: Ik word mager, ik word mager, wee mij! de trouwelozen handelen trouwelooslijk, en met trouweloosheid handelen de trouwelozen trouwelooslijk. 17De vrees, en de kuil, en de strik over u, o inwoners des lands! 18En het zal geschieden, zo wie voor de stem der vreze vlieden zal, die zal in den kuil vallen; en die uit den kuil opklimt, die zal in den strik gevangen worden; want de sluizen in de hoogte zijn opengedaan, en de fondamenten der aarde zullen beven. 19De aarde zal ganselijk verbroken worden, de aarde zal ganselijk vaneen gescheurd worden, de aarde zal ganselijk bewogen worden. 20De aarde zal ganselijk waggelen, gelijk een dronkaard, en zij zal heen en weder bewogen worden, gelijk een nachthut; en haar overtreding zal zwaar op haar zijn, en zij zal vallen, en niet weder opstaan. 21En het zal geschieden te dien dage, dat de HEERE bezoeking doen zal over de heirscharen des hogen in de hoogte, en over de koningen des aardbodems op den aardbodem. 22En zij zullen samenvergaderd worden, gelijk de gevangenen in een put, en zij zullen besloten worden in een gevangenis, maar na vele dagen weder bezocht worden. 23En de maan zal schaamrood worden, en de zon zal beschaamd worden, als de HEERE der heirscharen regeren zal op den berg Sion en te Jeruzalem, en voor zijn oudsten zal heerlijkheid zijn.
