1Kaj aperis al mi vorto de la Eternulo, dirante: 2Ho filo de homo, tiele diras la Sinjoro, la Eternulo, pri la tero de Izrael: Fino venis, la fino por ĉiuj kvar randoj de la lando. 3Nun venos al vi la fino; kaj Mi sendos sur vin Mian koleron, kaj Mi juĝos vin laŭ via konduto, kaj Mi metos sur vin ĉiujn viajn abomenindaĵojn. 4Ne indulgos vin Mia okulo, kaj Mi ne kompatos; ĉar vian konduton Mi rekompencos sur vi, kaj viaj abomenindaĵoj estos meze de vi; kaj vi ekscios, ke Mi estas la Eternulo. 5Tiele diras la Sinjoro, la Eternulo: Malbono, unu malbono nun venas; 6fino venas, venas la fino, ĝi vekiĝas kontraŭ vin, jen ĝi venas. 7Venas matenruĝo kontraŭ vi, ho loĝanto de la lando; venas la tempo, proksima estas la tago de tumulto, kiam oni ne plu kantos sur la montoj. 8Nun Mi baldaŭ elverŝos Mian indignon sur vin, Mi plene kontentigos Mian koleron sur vi, Mi juĝos vin laŭ via konduto, kaj Mi metos sur vin ĉiujn viajn abomenindaĵojn. 9Ne indulgos Mia okulo, kaj Mi ne kompatos; laŭ via konduto Mi redonos al vi, kaj viaj abomenindaĵoj estos meze de vi; kaj vi ekscios, ke Mi, la Eternulo, estas la batanto. 10Jen estas la tago, jen ĝi venas, leviĝis la matenruĝo, la vergo elkreskis, la fiero ekfloris. 11La perforteco leviĝis kiel vergo kontraŭ la malpiecon; nenio restos de ili, nek de ilia amaso, nek de ilia popola bruo, neniu ĝemos ĉe ili. 12Venas la tempo, alproksimiĝas la tago; la aĉetanto ne ĝoju, kaj la vendanto ne malĝoju; ĉar la kolero trafis ilian tutan amason. 13Ĉar la vendanto ne plu revenos al la venditaĵo, eĉ se ili ankoraŭ estus vivantaj; ĉar la vizio pri ilia tuta amaso ne retiriĝos, kaj neniu fortikigos sian vivon per sia malpieco. 14Eksonigu la trumpeton, kaj ĉiu armiĝu; neniu tamen iros en la militon, ĉar Mia kolero estas super ilia tuta amaso. 15La glavo estas ekstere, la pesto kaj la malsato interne; kiu estas sur la kampo, tiu mortos de la glavo, kaj kiu estas en la urbo, tiun ekstermos malsato kaj pesto. 16Kaj tiuj el ili, kiuj forsaviĝos, estos sur la montoj, kiel kolomboj el la valoj, ĉiuj ili ĝemos, ĉiu pro siaj malbonagoj. 17Ĉiuj manoj malleviĝos senforte, kaj ĉiuj genuoj moviĝos kiel akvo. 18Ili zonos sin per sakaĵo; teruro ilin kovros; sur ĉiu vizaĝo estos honto, kaj ĉiuj kapoj estos senharaj. 19Sian arĝenton ili ĵetos sur la stratojn, kaj ilia oro fariĝos malpuraĵo; ilia arĝento kaj ilia oro ne povos savi ilin en la tago de la kolero de la Eternulo, ne satigos ilian animon, kaj ne plenigos ilian internaĵon; ĉar tio estis instigilo por iliaj malbonagoj. 20Sian plej belan ornamon ili faris objekto de fiereco, siajn abomenindajn statuojn kaj idolojn ili starigis en ĝi; tial Mi faros ĝin malpuraĵo por ili. 21Kaj Mi transdonos ĝin en la manojn de fremduloj por disrabi, kaj al la malpiuloj de la tero kiel militakiron, kaj ili malsanktigos ĝin. 22Mi deturnos Mian vizaĝon de ili, por ke ili malsanktigu Mian misterejon; kaj rabistoj tien venos kaj malsanktigos ĝin. 23Faru ĉenon; ĉar la lando estas plena de sangaj krimoj kaj la urbo estas plena de perforteco. 24Mi venigos la plej malbonajn el la nacioj, kaj ili ekposedos iliajn domojn; Mi neniigos la fierecon de la fortuloj, kaj iliaj sanktaĵoj estos malsanktigitaj. 25Pereo venas; oni serĉos pacon, sed ne trovos ĝin. 26Malfeliĉo post malfeliĉo venos, sciigo post sciigo; oni serĉos vizion ĉe profeto; malaperos la instruo ĉe la pastro, kaj konsilo ĉe la maljunuloj. 27La reĝo malĝojos, la princo estos kovrita de teruro, kaj la manoj de la simpla popolo malkuraĝiĝos. Laŭ ilia konduto Mi agos kun ili, laŭ iliaj meritoj Mi juĝos ilin; kaj ili ekscios, ke Mi estas la Eternulo.

1Moreover Yahweh’s word came to me, saying, 2You, son of man, thus says the Lord Yahweh to the land of Israel, An end: the end has come on the four corners of the land. 3Now is the end on you, and I will send my anger on you, and will judge you according to your ways; and I will bring on you all your abominations. 4My eye shall not spare you, neither will I have pity; but I will bring your ways on you, and your abominations shall be in your midst: and you shall know that I am Yahweh. 5Thus says the Lord Yahweh: An evil, an only evil; behold, it comes. 6An end has come, the end has come; it awakes against you; behold, it comes. 7Your doom has come to you, inhabitant of the land: the time has come, the day is near, a day of tumult, and not of joyful shouting, on the mountains. 8Now will I shortly pour out my wrath on you, and accomplish my anger against you, and will judge you according to your ways; and I will bring on you all your abominations. 9My eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: I will bring on you according to your ways; and your abominations shall be in your midst; and you shall know that I, Yahweh, do strike. 10Behold, the day, behold, it comes: your doom has gone out; the rod has blossomed, pride has budded. 11Violence has risen up into a rod of wickedness. None of them shall remain, nor of their multitude, nor of their wealth. There shall be nothing of value among them. 12The time has come, the day draws near: don’t let the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn; for wrath is on all its multitude. 13For the seller shall not return to that which is sold, although they be yet alive: for the vision is touching the whole multitude of it, none shall return; neither shall any strengthen himself in the iniquity of his life. 14They have blown the trumpet, and have made all ready; but no one goes to the battle; for my wrath is on all its multitude. 15The sword is outside, and the pestilence and the famine within: he who is in the field shall die with the sword: and he who is in the city, famine and pestilence shall devour him. 16But those of those who escape shall escape, and shall be on the mountains like doves of the valleys, all of them moaning, every one in his iniquity. 17All hands shall be feeble, and all knees shall be weak as water. 18They shall also clothe themselves with sackcloth, and horror shall cover them; and shame shall be on all faces, and baldness on all their heads. 19They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be as an unclean thing; their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of Yahweh: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels; because it has been the stumbling block of their iniquity. 20As for the beauty of his ornament, he set it in majesty; but they made the images of their abominations and their detestable things therein: therefore have I made it to them as an unclean thing. 21I will give it into the hands of the strangers for a prey, and to the wicked of the earth for a plunder; and they shall profane it. 22My face will I turn also from them, and they shall profane my secret place; and robbers shall enter into it, and profane it. 23Make the chain; for the land is full of bloody crimes, and the city is full of violence. 24Therefore I will bring the worst of the nations, and they shall possess their houses: I will also make the pride of the strong to cease; and their holy places shall be profaned. 25Destruction comes; and they shall seek peace, and there shall be none. 26Mischief shall come on mischief, and rumor shall be on rumor; and they shall seek a vision of the prophet; but the law shall perish from the priest, and counsel from the elders. 27The king shall mourn, and the prince shall be clothed with desolation, and the hands of the people of the land shall be troubled: I will do to them after their way, and according to their own judgments will I judge them; and they shall know that I am Yahweh.

1Daarna geschiedde het woord des HEEREN tot mij, zeggende: 2Verder, gij mensenkind, zo zegt de Heere HEERE, van het land Israels: Het einde is er, het einde is gekomen over de vier hoeken des lands. 3Nu is het einde over u; want Ik zal Mijn toorn tegen u zenden, en Ik zal u richten naar uw wegen, en Ik zal op u brengen al uw gruwelen. 4En Mijn oog zal u niet verschonen, en Ik zal niet sparen; maar Ik zal uw wegen op u brengen, en uw gruwelen zullen in het midden van u zijn, en gijlieden zult weten, dat Ik de HEERE ben. 5Zo zegt de Heere HEERE: Een kwaad, een enig kwaad, ziet, is gekomen; 6Een einde is er gekomen, dat einde is gekomen, het is opgewaakt tegen u; ziet, het kwaad is gekomen! 7De morgenstond is tot u gekomen, o inwoner des lands, de tijd is gekomen, de dag der beroerte is nabij, en er is geen wederklank der bergen. 8Nu zal Ik in kort Mijn grimmigheid over u uitgieten, en Mijn toorn tegen u volbrengen, en u richten naar uw wegen, en zal op u brengen al uw gruwelen. 9En Mijn oog zal niet verschonen, en Ik zal niet sparen; Ik zal u geven naar uw wegen, en uw gruwelen zullen in het midden van u zijn; en gijlieden zult weten, dat Ik de HEERE ben, Die slaat. 10Ziet, de dag, ziet, de morgenstond is gekomen, de morgenstond is voortgekomen, de roede heeft gebloeid, de hovaardij heeft gegroend. 11Het geweld is opgerezen tot een roede der goddeloosheid; niets van hen zal overblijven, noch van hun menigte, noch van hun gedruis, en geen klage zal over hen zijn. 12De tijd is gekomen, de dag is genaakt; de koper zij niet blijde, en de verkoper bedrijve geen rouw; want een brandende toorn is over de gehele menigte van het land. 13Want de verkoper zal tot het verkochte niet wederkeren, ofschoon hun leven nog onder de levenden ware; overmits het gezicht, aangaande de gehele menigte van het land, niet zal terugkeren; en niemand zal door zijn ongerechtigheid zijn leven sterken. 14Zij hebben met de trompet getrompet, en hebben alles bereid, maar niemand trekt ten strijde; want Mijn brandende toorn is over de gehele menigte van het land. 15Het zwaard is buiten, en de pest, en de honger van binnen; die op het veld is, zal door het zwaard sterven, en die in de stad is, dien zal de honger en de pest verteren. 16En hun ontkomenden zullen wel ontkomen, maar zij zullen op de bergen zijn, zij allen zullen zijn gelijk duiven der dalen, kermende, een ieder om zijn ongerechtigheid. 17Alle handen zullen slap worden, en alle knieen zullen henenvlieten als water. 18Ook zullen zij zakken aangorden, gruwen zal ze bedekken, en over alle aangezichten zal schaamte wezen, en op al hun hoofden kaalheid. 19Zij zullen hun zilver op de straten werpen, en hun goud zal tot onreinigheid zijn; hun zilver en hun goud zal hen niet kunnen uithelpen ten dage der verbolgenheid des HEEREN; hun ziel zullen zij niet verzadigen, en hun ingewanden zullen zij niet vullen; want het zal de aanstoot hunner ongerechtigheid zijn. 20En Hij heeft de schoonheid Zijns sieraads ter overtreffelijkheid gezet; maar zij hebben daarin beelden hunner gruwelen en hunner verfoeiselen gemaakt; daarom heb Ik dat hun tot onreinigheid gesteld. 21En Ik zal het in de hand der vreemden overgeven ten roof, en den goddelozen der aarde ten buit, en zij zullen het ontheiligen. 22Ook zal Ik Mijn aangezicht van hen omwenden, en zij zullen Mijn verborgen plaats ontheiligen; want inbrekers zullen daar inkomen en die ontheiligen. 23Maak een keten; want het land is vol van bloedgerichten, en de stad is vol van geweld. 24Daarom zal Ik de kwaadste der heidenen doen komen, die hun huizen erfelijk bezitten zullen, en zal den hoogmoed der sterken doen ophouden, en die hen heiligen, zullen ontheiligd worden. 25De ondergang komt; en zij zullen den vrede zoeken, maar hij zal er niet zijn. 26Ellende zal op ellende komen, en er zal gerucht op gerucht wezen; dan zullen zij het gezicht van een profeet zoeken; maar de wet zal vergaan van den priester, en de raad van de oudsten. 27De koning zal rouw bedrijven, en de vorsten zullen met verwoesting bekleed zijn, en de handen van het volk des lands zullen beroerd zijn; Ik zal hun doen naar hun weg, en met hun rechten zal Ik ze richten; en zij zullen weten, dat Ik de HEERE ben.
