Jeĥezkel 15

1Kaj aperis al mi vorto de la Eternulo, dirante: 2Ho filo de homo! por kio taŭgas la ligno de vinberbranĉo inter ĉiuj branĉoriĉaj arboj, kiuj estas inter la arboj de arbaro? 3Ĉu oni prenas de ĝi pecon, por ion fari el ĝi? ĉu oni faras el ĝi almenaŭ hokon, por pendigi sur ĝi ian objekton? 4Jen ĝi estas transdonata al la fajro por forbruligo; ambaŭ finojn formanĝas la fajro, forbrulas ankaŭ la mezo; ĉu ĝi taŭgas por laboro? 5Jen, kiam ĝi estis ankoraŭ nedifektita, oni ne povis ion fari el ĝi; des pli kiam la fajro ĝin difektis kaj bruligis, ĉu oni povas ion fari el ĝi? 6Tial tiele diras la Sinjoro, la Eternulo: Kiel la vinberarbon inter la arboj de la arbaro Mi transdonis al la fajro, ke ĝi ĝin forbruligu, tiel Mi agos kun la loĝantoj de Jerusalem. 7Mi direktos Mian vizaĝon kontraŭ ilin; el fajro ili eliris, kaj fajro ilin ekstermos; kaj vi ekscios, ke Mi estas la Eternulo, kiam Mi direktos Mian vizaĝon kontraŭ ilin. 8Kaj Mi faros la landon dezerto pro tio, ke ili forte kulpiĝis, diras la Sinjoro, la Eternulo.

1Yahweh’s word came to me, saying, 2Son of man, what is the vine tree more than any tree, the vine-branch which is among the trees of the forest? 3Will wood be taken of it to make anything? Will men take a pin of it to hang any vessel on it? 4Behold, it is cast into the fire for fuel; the fire has devoured both its ends, and its midst is burned: is it profitable for any work? 5Behold, when it was whole, it was meet for no work: how much less, when the fire has devoured it, and it is burned, shall it yet be meet for any work! 6Therefore thus says the Lord Yahweh: As the vine tree among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so will I give the inhabitants of Jerusalem. 7I will set my face against them; they shall go out from the fire, but the fire shall devour them; and you shall know that I am Yahweh, when I set my face against them. 8I will make the land desolate, because they have committed a trespass, says the Lord Yahweh.

1En des HEEREN woord geschiedde tot mij, zeggende: 2Mensenkind, wat is het hout des wijnstoks meer dan alle hout, of de wijnrank meer dan dat onder het hout eens wouds is? 3Wordt daarvan hout genomen, om een stuk werk te maken? Neemt men daarvan een pin, om enig vat daaraan te hangen? 4Ziet, het wordt aan het vuur overgegeven, opdat het verteerd worde; het vuur verteert beide zijn einden, en zijn middelste wordt verbrand; zou het deugen tot een stuk werks? 5Ziet, toen het geheel was, werd het tot geen stuk werks gemaakt; hoeveel te min als het vuur dat verteerd heeft, zodat het verbrand is, zal het dan nog tot een stuk werks gemaakt worden? 6Daarom, alzo zegt de Heere HEERE: Gelijk als het hout des wijnstoks is onder het hout des wouds, hetwelk Ik aan het vuur overgeef, opdat het verteerd worde, alzo zal Ik de inwoners van Jeruzalem overgeven. 7Want Ik zal Mijn aangezicht tegen hen zetten; als zij van het ene vuur uitgaan, zal het andere vuur hen verteren; en gij zult weten, dat Ik de HEERE ben, als Ik Mijn aangezicht tegen hen gesteld zal hebben. 8En Ik zal het land woest maken, omdat zij zwaarlijk overtreden hebben, spreekt de Heere HEERE.
