1Ang salita na naalaman ni Isaias na anak ni Amoz tungkol sa Juda at Jerusalem. 2At mangyayari sa mga huling araw, na ang bundok ng bahay ng Panginoon ay matatatag sa taluktok ng mga bundok, at magiging mataas sa mga burol; at lahat ng bansa ay magsisiparoon doon. 3At maraming bayan ay magsisiyaon at mangagsasabi, Halina kayo, at tayo'y magsiahon sa bundok ng Panginoon, sa bahay ng Dios ni Jacob; at tuturuan niya tayo ng kaniyang mga daan, at tayo'y magsisilakad sa kaniyang mga landas: sapagka't mula sa Sion ay lalabas ang kautusan, at ang salita ng Panginoon ay mula sa Jerusalem. 4At siya'y hahatol sa gitna ng mga bansa, at sasaway sa maraming tao: at kanilang pupukpukin ang kanilang mga tabak upang maging mga sudsod, at ang kanilang mga sibat ay maging mga karit: ang bansa ay hindi magtataas ng tabak laban sa bansa, o mangagaaral pa man sila ng pakikipagdigma. 5Oh sangbahayan ni Jacob, halikayo, at tayo'y magsilakad sa liwanag ng Panginoon. 6Sapagka't iyong binayaan ang iyong bayan na sangbahayan ni Jacob, sapagka't sila'y puspos ng mga kaugaliang mula sa silanganan, at mga enkantador gaya ng mga Filisteo, at sila'y nangakikipagkamay sa mga anak ng mga taga ibang lupa. 7Ang kanilang lupain naman ay puno ng pilak at ginto, ni walang wakas ang kanilang mga kayamanan; ang kanila namang lupain ay puno ng mga kabayo, ni walang katapusang bilang ang kanilang mga karo. 8Ang kanila namang lupain ay puno ng mga diosdiosan; kanilang sinasamba ang gawa ng kanilang sariling mga kamay, na ginawa ng kanilang sariling mga daliri. 9At ang taong hamak ay yumuyuko, at ang mataas na tao ay nabababa: kaya't huwag mong patawarin sila. 10Pumasok ka sa malaking bato, at magkubli ka sa alabok, sa kakilabutan sa Panginoon, at sa kaluwalhatian ng kaniyang kamahalan. 11Ang mga tinging mapagmataas ng tao ay mabababa, at ang mga pagmamataas ng mga tao ay mahuhutok, at ang Panginoon magisa ay mabubunyi sa kaarawang yaon. 12Sapagka't magkakaroon ng isang kaarawan ang Panginoon ng mga hukbo sa lahat na palalo at mapagmataas, at sa lahat na nagmamataas; at yao'y mabababa: 13At sa lahat ng cedro ng Libano, na matayog at mataas, at sa lahat ng encina ng Basan; 14At sa lahat ng matataas na bundok, at sa lahat ng mga burol na nangataas; 15At sa bawa't matayog na moog, at sa bawa't kutang nababakod: 16At sa lahat ng mga sasakyang dagat ng Tarsis, at sa lahat ng maligayang bagay. 17At ang kahambugan ng tao ay huhutukin, at ang mga pagmamataas ng mga tao ay mabababa: at ang Panginoon magisa ay mabubunyi sa kaarawang yaon. 18At ang mga diosdiosan ay mapapawing lubos. 19At ang mga tao ay magsisipasok sa mga yungib ng malalaking bato, at sa mga puwang ng lupa, sa harap ng kakilabutan sa Panginoon, at sa kaluwalhatian ng kaniyang kamahalan, pagka siya'y bumangon upang yaniging may kapangyarihan ang lupa. 20Sa kaarawang yaon ay ihahagis ng mga tao ang kanilang mga diosdiosang pilak, at ang kanilang mga diosdiosang ginto, na kanilang ginawa upang sambahin, sa yungib ng mga bilig at ng mga paniki; 21Upang pumasok sa mga puwang ng malalaking bato, at sa mga bitak ng mga malaking bato, sa harap ng kakilabutan sa Panginoon, at sa kaluwalhatian ng kaniyang kamahalan, pagka siya'y bumangon upang yaniging may kapangyarihan ang lupa. 22Layuan ninyo ang tao, na ang hinga ay nasa kaniyang mga butas ng ilong: sapagka't sa ano pahahalagahan siya?
1This is what Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. 2It shall happen in the latter days, that the mountain of Yahweh’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be raised above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it. 3Many peoples shall go and say, “Come, let’s go up to the mountain of Yahweh, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths.” For out of Zion the law shall go out, and Yahweh’s word from Jerusalem. 4He will judge between the nations, and will decide concerning many peoples; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. 5House of Jacob, come, and let us walk in the light of Yahweh. 6For you have forsaken your people, the house of Jacob, because they are filled from the east, with those who practice divination like the Philistines, and they clasp hands with the children of foreigners. 7Their land is full of silver and gold, neither is there any end of their treasures. Their land also is full of horses, neither is there any end of their chariots. 8Their land also is full of idols. They worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made. 9Man is brought low, and mankind is humbled; therefore don’t forgive them. 10Enter into the rock, and hide in the dust, from before the terror of Yahweh, and from the glory of his majesty. 11The lofty looks of man will be brought low, the haughtiness of men will be bowed down, and Yahweh alone will be exalted in that day. 12For there will be a day of Yahweh of Armies for all that is proud and haughty, and for all that is lifted up; and it shall be brought low: 13For all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, for all the oaks of Bashan, 14For all the high mountains, for all the hills that are lifted up, 15For every lofty tower, for every fortified wall, 16For all the ships of Tarshish, and for all pleasant imagery. 17The loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be brought low; and Yahweh alone shall be exalted in that day. 18The idols shall utterly pass away. 19Men shall go into the caves of the rocks, and into the holes of the earth, from before the terror of Yahweh, and from the glory of his majesty, when he arises to shake the earth mightily. 20In that day, men shall cast away their idols of silver, and their idols of gold, which have been made for themselves to worship, to the moles and to the bats; 21To go into the caverns of the rocks, and into the clefts of the ragged rocks, from before the terror of Yahweh, and from the glory of his majesty, when he arises to shake the earth mightily. 22Stop trusting in man, whose breath is in his nostrils; for of what account is he?
1Het woord, dat Jesaja, de zoon van Amoz, gezien heeft over Juda en Jeruzalem. 2En het zal geschieden in het laatste der dagen, dat de berg van het huis des HEEREN zal vastgesteld zijn op den top der bergen, en dat hij zal verheven worden boven de heuvelen, en tot denzelven zullen alle heidenen toevloeien. 3En vele volken zullen heengaan en zeggen: Komt, laat ons opgaan tot den berg des HEEREN, tot het huis van den God Jakobs, opdat Hij ons lere van Zijn wegen, en dat wij wandelen in Zijn paden; want uit Sion zal de wet uitgaan, en des HEEREN woord uit Jeruzalem. 4En Hij zal rechten onder de heidenen, en bestraffen vele volken; en zij zullen hun zwaarden slaan tot spaden, en hun spiesen tot sikkelen; het ene volk zal tegen het andere volk geen zwaard opheffen, en zij zullen geen oorlog meer leren. 5Komt, gij huis van Jakob, en laat ons wandelen in het licht des HEEREN. 6Maar Gij hebt Uw volk, het huis van Jakob, verlaten, want zij zijn vervuld met goddeloosheid, meer dan het oosten, en zij zijn guichelaars gelijk de Filistijnen, en aan de kinderen der vreemden tonen zij hun behagen. 7En hun land is vervuld met zilver en goud, en hunner schatten is geen einde; hun land is ook vervuld met paarden, en hunner wagenen is geen einde. 8Ook is hun land vervuld met afgoden; voor het werk hunner handen buigen zij zich neder, voor hetgeen hun vingeren gemaakt hebben. 9Daar bukt zich de gemene man, en de aanzienlijke man vernedert zich; daarom zult Gij het hun niet vergeven. 10Ga in den rotssteen, en verberg u in het stof, vanwege den schrik des HEEREN, en om de heerlijkheid Zijner majesteit. 11De hoge ogen de mensen zullen vernederd worden, en de hoogheid der mannen zal nedergebogen worden; en de HEERE alleen zal in dien dag verheven zijn. 12Want de dag des HEEREN der heirscharen zal zijn tegen allen hovaardige en hoge, en tegen allen verhevene, opdat hij vernederd worde; 13En tegen alle hoge en verhevene cederen van Libanon, en tegen alle eiken van Basan; 14En tegen alle hoge bergen, en tegen alle verhevene heuvelen; 15En tegen allen hogen toren, en tegen allen vasten muur; 16En tegen alle schepen van Tarsis, en tegen alle gewenste schilderijen. 17En de hoogheid der mensen zal gebogen, en de hoogheid der mannen zal vernederd worden; en de HEERE alleen zal in die dag verheven zijn. 18En elkeen der afgoden zal ganselijk vergaan. 19Dan zullen zij in de spelonken der rotsstenen gaan, en in de holen der aarde, vanwege den schrik des HEEREN, en vanwege de heerlijkheid Zijner majesteit, wanneer Hij Zich opmaken zal, om de aarde te verschrikken. 20In dien dag zal de mens zijn zilveren afgoden, en zijn gouden afgoden, welke zij zich gemaakt hadden, om zich daarvoor neder te buigen, wegwerpen voor de mollen en de vledermuizen; 21Gaande in de reten der rotsen en in de kloven der steenrotsen, vanwege den schrik des HEEREN, en vanwege de heerlijkheid Zijner majesteit, wanneer Hij Zich opmaken zal, om de aarde geweldiglijk te verschrikken. 22Laat gijlieden dan af van den mens, wiens adem in zijn neus is, want waarin is hij te achten?
