Deuteronomio 6

1Ito nga ang utos, ang mga palatuntunan, at ang mga kahatulan, na iniutos ng Panginoon ninyong Dios na ituro sa inyo, upang inyong magawa sa lupaing inyong paroroonan upang ariin: 2Na ikaw ay matakot sa Panginoon mong Dios, na iyong ingatan ang lahat niyang mga palatuntunan at ang kaniyang mga utos, na aking iniutos sa iyo, sa iyo, at sa iyong anak, at sa anak ng iyong anak sa lahat ng araw ng iyong buhay; at upang ang iyong mga araw ay lumawig. 3Dinggin mo nga, Oh Israel, at iyong isagawa upang ikabuti mo, at upang kayo'y dumaming maigi, na gaya ng ipinangako sa iyo ng Panginoon, ng Dios ng iyong mga magulang, sa lupaing binubukalan ng gatas at pulot. 4Dinggin mo, Oh Israel: ang Panginoon nating Dios ay isang Panginoon: 5At iyong iibigin ang Panginoon mong Dios ng iyong buong puso, at ng iyong buong kaluluwa, at ng iyong buong lakas. 6At ang mga salitang ito, na aking iniuutos sa iyo sa araw na ito, ay sasa iyong puso; 7At iyong ituturo ng buong sikap sa iyong mga anak, at iyong sasalitain tungkol sa kanila pagka ikaw ay nakaupo sa iyong bahay, at pagka ikaw ay lumakad sa daan, at pagka ikaw ay nahihiga at pagka ikaw ay bumabangon. 8At iyong itatali na pinakatanda sa iyong kamay at mga magiging pinakatali sa iyong noo. 9At iyong isusulat sa itaas ng pintuan ng iyong bahay at sa iyong mga pintuan-daan. 10At mangyayari, pagka ipapasok ka ng Panginoon mong Dios sa lupain na kaniyang isinumpa sa iyong mga magulang, kay Abraham, kay Isaac, at kay Jacob, upang ibigay sa iyo; na may malalaki at mabubuting bayan na hindi mo itinayo, 11At mga bahay na puno ng lahat na mabubuting bagay, na hindi mo pinuno, at mga balong hukay na hindi mo hinukay, mga ubasan at mga puno ng olibo, na hindi mo itinanim, at iyong kakanin at ikaw ay mabubusog; 12At magingat ka nga, baka iyong malimutan ang Panginoon, na naglabas sa iyo sa lupain ng Egipto, sa bahay ng pagkaalipin. 13Ikaw ay matakot sa Panginoon mong Dios; at sa kaniya'y maglilingkod ka, at sa pamamagitan lamang ng kaniyang pangalan susumpa ka. 14Huwag kang susunod sa ibang mga dios, sa mga dios ng mga bansang nasa palibot mo; 15Sapagka't ang Panginoon mong Dios na nasa gitna mo, ay isang mapanibughuing Dios; baka ang galit ng Panginoon mong Dios ay magalab laban sa iyo, at ikaw ay kaniyang lipulin sa ibabaw ng lupa. 16Huwag ninyong tutuksuhin ang Panginoon ninyong Dios, gaya ng tuksuhin ninyo siya sa Massah. 17Inyong iingatan ng buong sikap ang mga utos ng Panginoon ninyong Dios, at ang kaniyang mga patotoo, at ang kaniyang mga palatuntunan, na kaniyang iniutos sa iyo. 18At iyong gagawin ang matuwid at mabuti sa paningin ng Panginoon: upang ikabuti mo, at upang iyong mapasok at ariin ang mabuting lupain na isinumpa ng Panginoon sa iyong mga magulang, 19Upang palayasin ang lahat ng iyong mga kaaway sa harap mo, gaya ng sinalita ng Panginoon. 20Pagka tatanungin ka ng iyong anak sa panahong darating, na sasabihin: Anong kahulugan ng mga patotoo, at ng mga palatuntunan, at ng mga kahatulan, na iniutos sa inyo ng Panginoon nating Dios? 21Ay iyo ngang sasabihin sa iyong anak: Kami ay naging mga alipin ni Faraon sa Egipto, at inilabas kami ng Panginoon sa Egipto sa pamamagitan ng makapangyarihang kamay. 22At ang Panginoon ay nagpakita ng mga tanda at ng mga kababalaghan, dakila at panggiba, sa Egipto, kay Faraon, at sa kaniyang buong sangbahayan, sa harap ng aming mga mata: 23At kami ay inilabas niya roon, na kaniyang ipinasok kami rito, upang ibigay sa amin ang lupain na kaniyang isinumpa sa ating mga magulang. 24At iniutos ng Panginoon sa amin na gawin ang lahat ng mga palatuntunang ito, na matakot sa Panginoon nating Dios, sa ikabubuti natin kailan man, upang ingatan niya tayong buhay, gaya sa araw na ito. 25At siya'y magiging katuwiran sa atin, kung ating isagawa ang buong utos na ito sa harap ng Panginoon nating Dios, gaya ng iniutos niya sa atin.

1Now this is the commandment, the statutes, and the ordinances, which Yahweh your God commanded to teach you, that you might do them in the land where you go over to possess it; 2that you might fear Yahweh your God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command you; you, and your son, and your son’s son, all the days of your life; and that your days may be prolonged. 3Hear therefore, Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with you, and that you may increase mightily, as Yahweh, the God of your fathers, has promised to you, in a land flowing with milk and honey. 4Hear, Israel: Yahweh is our God. Yahweh is one. 5You shall love Yahweh your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might. 6These words, which I command you this day, shall be on your heart; 7and you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up. 8You shall bind them for a sign on your hand, and they shall be for frontlets between your eyes. 9You shall write them on the door posts of your house, and on your gates. 10It shall be, when Yahweh your God brings you into the land which he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give you, great and goodly cities, which you didn’t build, 11and houses full of all good things, which you didn’t fill, and cisterns dug out, which you didn’t dig, vineyards and olive trees, which you didn’t plant, and you shall eat and be full; 12then beware lest you forget Yahweh, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. 13You shall fear Yahweh your God; and you shall serve him, and shall swear by his name. 14You shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the peoples who are around you; 15for Yahweh your God in your midst is a jealous God; lest the anger of Yahweh your God be kindled against you, and he destroy you from off the face of the earth. 16You shall not tempt Yahweh your God, as you tempted him in Massah. 17You shall diligently keep the commandments of Yahweh your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he has commanded you. 18You shall do that which is right and good in the sight of Yahweh; that it may be well with you, and that you may go in and possess the good land which Yahweh swore to your fathers, 19to thrust out all your enemies from before you, as Yahweh has spoken. 20When your son asks you in time to come, saying, “What do the testimonies, the statutes, and the ordinances, which Yahweh our God has commanded you mean?” 21then you shall tell your son, “We were Pharaoh’s slaves in Egypt. Yahweh brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand; 22and Yahweh showed great and awesome signs and wonders on Egypt, on Pharaoh, and on all his house, before our eyes; 23and he brought us out from there, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he swore to our fathers. 24Yahweh commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear Yahweh our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as at this day. 25It shall be righteousness to us, if we observe to do all this commandment before Yahweh our God, as he has commanded us.”

1Dit zijn dan de geboden, de inzettingen en de rechten, die de HEERE, uw God, geboden heeft om u te leren; opdat gij ze doet in het land, naar hetwelk gij heentrekt, om dat erfelijk te bezitten; 2Opdat gij den HEERE, uw God, vrezet, om te houden al Zijn inzettingen, en Zijn geboden, die ik u gebiede; gij, en uw kind, en kindskind, al de dagen uws levens; en opdat uw dagen verlengd worden. 3Hoor dan, Israel! en neem waar, dat gij ze doet, opdat het u welga, en opdat gij zeer vermenigvuldigdet (gelijk als u de HEERE, uwer vaderen God, gesproken heeft) in het land, dat van melk en honig is vloeiende. 4Hoor, Israel! de HEERE, onze God, is een enig HEERE! 5Zo zult gij den HEERE, uw God, liefhebben, met uw ganse hart, en met uw ganse ziel, en met al uw vermogen. 6En deze woorden, die ik u heden gebiede, zullen in uw hart zijn. 7En gij zult ze uw kinderen inscherpen, en daarvan spreken, als gij in uw huis zit, en als gij op den weg gaat, en als gij nederligt, en als gij opstaat. 8Ook zult gij ze tot een teken binden op uw hand, en zij zullen u tot voorhoofdspanselen zijn tussen uw ogen. 9En gij zult ze op de posten van uw huis, en aan uw poorten schrijven. 10Als het dan zal geschied zijn, dat de HEERE, uw God, u zal hebben ingebracht in dat land, dat Hij uw vaderen, Abraham, Izak en Jakob, gezworen heeft, u te zullen geven; grote en goede steden, die gij niet gebouwd hebt, 11En huizen, vol van alle goeds, die gij niet gevuld hebt, en uitgehouwen bornputten, die gij niet uitgehouwen hebt, wijngaarden en olijfgaarden, die gij niet geplant hebt, en gij gegeten hebt en verzadigd zijt; 12Zo wacht u, dat gij den HEERE niet vergeet, Die u uit Egypteland, uit het diensthuis heeft uitgevoerd. 13Gij zult den HEERE, uw God, vrezen, en Hem dienen; en gij zult bij Zijn Naam zweren. 14Gij zult andere goden niet navolgen, van de goden der volken, die rondom u zijn. 15Want de HEERE, uw God is een ijverig God in het midden van u; dat de toorn des HEEREN, uws Gods, tegen u niet ontsteke, en Hij u van den aardbodem verdelge. 16Gij zult den HEERE, uw God, niet verzoeken, gelijk als gij Hem verzocht hebt te Massa. 17Gij zult de geboden des HEEREN, uws Gods, vlijtig houden, mitsgaders Zijn getuigenissen, en Zijn inzettingen, die Hij u geboden heeft. 18En gij zult doen, wat recht en goed is in de ogen des HEEREN; opdat het u welga, en dat gij inkomt, en erft het goede land, dat de HEERE uw vaderen gezworen heeft; 19Om al uw vijanden voor uw aangezicht te verdrijven, gelijk als de HEERE gesproken heeft. 20Wanneer uw zoon u morgen zal vragen, zeggende: Wat zijn dat voor getuigenissen, en inzettingen, en rechten, die de HEERE, onze God, ulieden geboden heeft? 21Zo zult gij tot uw zoon zeggen: Wij waren dienstknechten van Farao in Egypte; maar de HEERE heeft ons door een sterke hand uit Egypte uitgevoerd. 22En de HEERE gaf tekenen, en grote en kwade wonderen, in Egypte, aan Farao en aan zijn ganse huis, voor onze ogen; 23En hij voerde ons van daar uit, opdat Hij ons inbracht, om ons het land te geven, dat Hij onzen vaderen gezworen had. 24En de HEERE gebood ons te doen al deze inzettingen, om te vrezen den HEERE, onzen God, ons voor altoos ten goede, om ons in het leven te behouden, gelijk het te dezen dage is. 25En het zal ons gerechtigheid zijn, als wij zullen waarnemen te doen al deze geboden, voor het aangezicht des HEEREN, onzes Gods, gelijk Hij ons geboden heeft.
